Just as it seemed like Davis and his friends had all of this won when the Four Heavenly Kings were beaten. However, Sakyo managed to get his troops to continue fighting. Davis and some of the others were backed into the school, but he isn't going to let that stop him. Davis wants to get Sakyo and put an end to all of this once and for all.

"Come on, Kanzashi. How much longer?" Davis said as Kanzashi was trying to clear Dragonic Heaven of any malware.

"Be patient. I'm doing the best I can with limited resources." Kanzashi said as she was doing the best she can.

"We might not have that." Ken said as they could still hear the enemy trying to get in the school. They could hear something bashing against the metal, trying to break the door down.

"I say we open the door and get ready for a fight." Rin said. It seemed like that might be their only option. Just then, they heard some sort of commotion outside. They could hear the troopers screaming and calling out. They were all rather curious as to what was going on out there.

"What was that?" T.K. said.

"Open it up." Chifuyu said.

"Right." Yamada said as she worked on temporarily shut off lockdown. The metal blocking the doors opened up and saw that everyone else was able to make it back.

"Guys! You all made it back!" Rin said.

"We leave the school for a while and this happens. What would you do without us?" Kimi said.

"Guys, hurry up and get inside. There could be more of them." Davis said. All of them shut off their I.S. and the digimon reformed into smaller forms. Once they were all back inside, Yamada initiated lockdown again and they all took a moment to breathe.

"Is everyone okay?" Ichika asked.

"More or less." Tatenashi said as she referred to the wound she had.

"What happened to all of you out there?" Rin asked.

"We all met up." Charlotte said. "It would seem we all completed our tasks. Kimi and Sierra were able to bring down the base camp while each of us defeated one of the Four Heavenly Kings. Pardon, but I need to sit down." She said as her body was tiring on her and she needed to sit down.

"It was beginning to look a lot like the battle was won, but we all heard the announcement." Fria said. "The soldiers were able to find the strength and resolve to keep going, even after their elite were defeated."

"I assume that's because of Sakyo. He is the head of Rogue Nirvana, not to mention that he is probably the one that guided all of them into this." Serene said.

"There must be hundreds of them out there, and more of them are on the way." Cecilia said.

"We already know all of that. That means defeating Sakyo could mean this all ends." Davis said as he was getting anxious. "As soon as my I.S. is fully ready to go, I'm going straight after him!"

"Figures. We haven't seen you in a long time and you're just ready to go." Yolei said as she placed her arm around him and held him close. Despite the circumstances, they are happy to see each other again. However, Davis had a change of mood when he spotted Kari.

"Kari..." Davis said as he wasn't sure what to say. Seeing someone who broke up with you is always awkward.

"Hi, Davis." Kari said as the two weren't really sure what to say to each other.

"I can see things are a little awkward between the two of you, but save it for another time." Marinda said as she snapped them back to reality. "Sakyo and the rest of Rogue Nirvana is entering their endgame. It's time we do the same. Sadly, I can't help. My I.S. was badly damaged, but there are still ways we can win." They were all ready to go, but they suddenly heard explosions happening outside.

"Now what?" Davis said as he had to get a look on what was going on.

...

Minutes Ago

Sakyo stood at the top of a building still watched things unfold. From where he was standing, he was able to see everyone regrouping at the school and was aware they fought back. It was time he took drastic actions.

"It's time to put an end to this little charade." Sakyo said as he reached inside his pocket and pulled out a switch. He was taking those drastic actions. He jumped off the building and unleashed Monarch as be brought upon destruction. With just one push of a button a series of explosions was going on around the city.

...

Davis

Davis hurried to a window to get a look at what was happening outside. He looked out a window and saw the explosions happening. The girls followed him and they all took a look outside themselves.

"He's attacking the city?! The bastard! I thought he was only attacking the academy. Why the hell is he attacking buildings like that?" Davis said. None of them liked the looks of this.

"It's another declaration." All five of them looked to the side and saw Wade helping Lita out.

"Lita! You're awake!" Davis said as he was glad to see her again.

"Hey, guys." Lita said as she was glad to see her friends again.

"How did you get in? The school is in lockdown mode." Kimi said.

"You're asking a computer genius like myself how I was able to by pass a security system?" Wade teased.

"What do you mean, Wade? What do you mean this is another declaration?" Sierra asked.

"Sakyo remained hidden up until now to probably set those bombs ahead of time." Wade said. "Sakyo is issuing another challenge. He's declaring that the era of I.S. is about to end and that he wants to take on those who still wish to challenge him. He must know you're all bundled up in here and is hoping to lure you out. I suppose he's ready to settle things once and for all."

"Good! I'm ready to go! I just need Dragonic Heaven and I'm good to go!" Davis said.

"I'm glad to hear that." They all looked and saw Chifuyu there. She held up Dragonic Heaven and was giving it to him. "Davis, Sakyo Qilin isn't going to show any mercy. This is war, you understand that. If you don't, I can't allow you to go."

"I do understand." Davis said. "Sakyo is ruthless, but I'm not going to cave to his power." Davis is holding his ground. He doesn't care how dominate or intimidating Sakyo is. He wants to take him down. "This isn't about just me. It's about everyone." He's fighting for the world too and he wants to protect it. That sounded good enough to Chifuyu. She tossed Dragonic Heaven to him and he was back in the action.

"We'll hold down the fort. The rest of you go." Chifuyu said.

"I'm going too. I've been out of the action for too long." Lita said.

"Forget it. You're in no shape to fight." Wade said as he was completely against it.

"No worries, Lita. We've got this." Davis vowed as he placed on his I.S. and was all set. Once he was given approval, he unleashed his Dragonic Heaven and smashed right through the wall with him taking off.

"Davis, wait for us!" Sierra called as the other four took off after him.

"Was it too much to use a door?" Chifuyu complained as she, Wade, and Lita saw them off. Not just them; Kari too. She is hoping Davis comes out of this alive.

...

Downtown

Sakyo brought upon destruction around the city. It was like he didn't care anymore what gets destroyed. He had some of his soldiers regroup with him and stood with him.

"Keep in mind that these explosions are collateral! We need to make a big statement for the world to know our cause!" Sakyo called. "This is to get our enemies to come out! The academy is our true target!" He was keeping the fight going, but he didn't have to wait for very long. Sakyo's assault on the innocent city apparently worked as he could hear something flying through the air. He looked up and could see Davis and the others. "I should have known that he would be the one to show himself."

"Down there! I see him!" Serene said. They all looked at the road below them and they could see Sakyo and his men down there.

"There he is." Davis said as he stopped in the air and readied himself.

"Davis, are you okay?" Fria asked.

"Yeah. It's just... I'm really glad I came back." Davis wanted to say before he went into battle against. "Can I trust you girls to handle whatever soldiers are left."

"Right." Serene said.

"You got it." Kimi said.

"Leave it to us." Sierra said.

"It shall be done." Fria claimed. Davis really is glad that he came back and got to see his friends again. He just wants to savior that feeling because if he goes against Sakyo now, there might be no coming back for him.

"Let's go!" Davis shouted. That was when the girls unleashed their attacks down below and attacked the army. They kept the soldiers busy as Davis dove straight down on the road, then charged at Sakyo with full speed. "Sakyo Qilin!"

"So, the swaggering fool returns!" Sakyo shouted as he was ready for him as well. "Do you wish to die?!"

"Of course not! I'm trying to survive!" Davis shouted as the two of them smashed their weapons together. It created a tremendous force that caused some destruction across the city. The two of them broke away from each other and had a stalemate. "Nowhere to run or hide this time, Sakyo. It's time to settle things once and for all."

"I'm not surprised that you're the one that came after me." Sakyo said. "A wasted effort since you are no match for me."

"We'll see!" Davis said as he was done playing around with him. Davis charged straight at Sakyo. Sakyo swung his halberd like how they fought last time, but Davis saw it coming this time. He dodged his attack and managed to get behind Sakyo. He tried to attack Sakyo from there, but Sakyo blocked the attack. However, there was a stronger force behind it as Sakyo was forced to drop to one knee. However, Sakyo pushed back and pushed him off.

"It would seem you have gotten stronger, but it won't do you any good." Sakyo said.

"I guess we're about to find out!" Davis said. The two of them went at each other again, taking to the sky as they constantly clashed against each other.

"Why did you come after me? Can't you see that all your efforts against me are useless? Have you forgotten that you were no match for me the last time we fought?" Sakyo said.

"I haven't forgotten, but I'm not letting that stop me! I refuse to stand around and do nothing while you just have your way!" Davis said. "You just can't just do whatever you want, and I'll be the one to stop you! It will be me because I refuse to let you destroy everything!"

"Your sentimentality robs you of any true ambition! It is for that reason that you will never defeat me!" Sakyo claimed.

"You want to talk about ambition?! Let's talk about yours!" Davis said as they broke apart and landed down and gestured to the burned and destroyed city. "Is this hell your ambition? Do you have to destroy everything just to get whatever you want?! You claim your fighting for a noble cause, but I just don't see it if innocent people have to suffer from it! If this is how you plan to use the power you have, then I'm going to use the power that I have to stop you!" He made another attempt at him, but Sakyo was able to block it.

"Your words are all empty! Prove it with your actions, not words!" Sakyo shouted as he pushed Davis back and was able to knock Davis sword right out of his hands.

"Damn! My sword!" Davis complained.

"Without it, your helpless!" Sakyo shouted as he tried to attack him again.

"I wouldn't bet on it!" Davis claimed as he refused to be defeated like that. He kicked off from Sakyo and tried to get his sword back. However, Sakyo moved fast and swung his halberd to force Davis to move away from his sword. "Fine. Let's take this to the sky." He said as he flew off.

"As if you could escape." Sakyo claimed and flew after Davis, and was flying faster than Davis. "Davis Motomiya!" He unleashed the full force of his attack as he came at Davis like a jet. Sakyo smashed right into Davis and sent him crashing right through a building.

"That does it! Now I'm really mad!" Davis shouted as he straightened himself out and tried to get around and attack Sakyo again. He went right at Sakyo, but Sakyo was able to move away at the last second.

"Pointless!" Sakyo shouted as he smashed his leg against Davis. Davis was sent flying through buildings as he was constantly smashed into roofs and walls from that one attack. "This ends now!" Sakyo put in one last attack as he caught up to Davis and smashed his weapon against him one last time. Davis was sent flying and was falling out of the sky. It didn't look like he was going to make it.

"Davis!" Sierra called as they all saw he was in trouble.

"Davis, snap out of it!" Serene called.

"Davis!" Fria called.

"Don't just call out to him!" Kimi claimed as she went to try and save him, but the soldiers were keeping them from doing anything. Davis was about to hit the ground, but he awoke just in time.

"Damn!" Davis tried to straighten himself out. He still crashed into the ground, but it wasn't as bad if he hadn't woke up. "That was close." This fight was starting to take his toll on him and Dragonic Heaven. As Sakyo landed on the ground, he was confident this was the end.

"It would seem that you will meet your end here." Sakyo claimed. "I told you from the start that you couldn't beat me." Davis was running out of options. It seemed like Sakyo was better than him at everyway.

"He kept going on and on about how my ambition wasn't strong enough. I think it's time I prove him wrong." Davis mumbled to himself. Sakyo went at him one last time with his halberd ready to pierce right through him. However, Davis hold up his left arm and tried to stop it.

"What a useless and desperate ruse?! Using your own arm like a shield?! That won't stop my blade!" Sakyo claimed as his halberd pierced into it. As painful as it was, Davis wouldn't scream.

"That's not what I'm going for!" Davis said as he pulled the halberd right out of his arm and flung it around with blood spilling into Sakyo's eyes and blinded him. Davis took the chance to use his good arm and smashed his fist into Sakyo's face as hard as he could. When that happened, Sakyo's halberd was thrown out of his arms, but Davis caught it and aimed it right at him.

"Impossible!" Sakyo said as he couldn't believe a move like that would work on him.

"What was that you were saying about not being willing to to do whatever it takes to fulfill my ambition? What do you think about that now?" Davis said as he held the blade near the base of Sakyo's neck. Could this be it? Could Davis finally have bested Sakyo?

...

Davis: Well, it was a long and hard fought battle, but it looks like it's finally over. The war between us and Rogue Nirvana finally comes to an end. I get Sakyo thought he was fighting for some noble cause, but it didn't have to be like this. It doesn't matter if we're men or women, I.S. users or not.

Next Time: True Equality

It always felt good flying through the skies.
