Chapter 29: Transparent as Glass
Have you ever watched a storm when it rolls in? Depending on the type of storm it can be a gradual type of thing with clouds that move ever so slowly, and darken bit by bit. The sky changes colors almost as if it's fading from one color to the other. When a raging storm comes rolling through everything is at a rapid pace, the clouds get really dark, the sky darkens as well as if it's the warning that any moment rain is going to fall. Next comes the sound of thunder which is the last warning before lightening strikes. Watching Klaus and Elijah fight was like watching a violent storm pick up, with heavy winds and harsh rain.
Still though, I couldn't help but be enthralled. Elijah needed to knocked down a peg or one hundred and Klaus seemed to be just that. As for Klaus he was in beast mode and I kind of liked it. Not many men fought in my honor and here he was fighting for me. Was it wrong that I was swooning over this?
The sound of furniture breaking brings me out of my haze. We all knew that Klaus would use any object in a fight and this time was no different. Silverware had been tossed around, china had fallen from the tables, a drink cart had been toppled over and still they kept going. Snarls and growls filled the room as harsh words were hurled at one another.
The brothers trade barbs while we're all watching because who was going to stop Klaus when he was raging? After many punches are thrown, Elijah has a nearly torn shirt because Klaus has yanked him so hard. Elijah is holding his own but he's no match for Klaus who is in beast mode. When I hear ribs crack I feel like it's enough and so does everyone else because Rebekah and Marcel try to approach Klaus who is showing all of his animal colors.
"You don't say her name, you don't speak to her, you don't say anything about her!" Klaus roars through the mess tornado that seems to be the Mikaelson brothers while fighting. Klaus has the upper hand as he looks down at his brother menacingly. This was the Klaus I was use to seeing, the one, who would strike first and never ask questions later.
"Niklaus get off of him." Rebekah yells hotly.
"No!" Klaus says as his wolf teeth come out to play. "Maybe he'll have a better attitude once he's taken a trip down wolf bite lane." His eyes are no longer blue, all amber, all wolf senses running though his body as he tosses Elijah around like a rag doll.
"Why do you have to bite him, why not get in the ring and box it out, that way we can at least make some money on this spectacle." Marcel chimes in. He's not as infested as Rebekah because while brothers are fighting Marcel is finishing off his breakfast as if it's an ordinary day with the Mikaelson family.
Rebekah shoots him a look. "Not happening."
Klaus is chomping at the bit as he given Elijah some breathing room, but any minute it can change. "Why don't you take it like a man?" Klaus snarls. " You wanted this, now come and get it?"
Elijah stands across the room looking haggard and a bit broken. "Is this really what you want to do?"
Klaus chuckles though his tone is so deadly everyone around stills. "I wanted to have family breakfast, but you– you kept pushing me!" Klaus screams across the room even though he doesn't have to. He's pointing at Elijah when he smiles. "You go against her, that means you go against me, and you know what happens when you go against me Elijah."
The brothers soon rush each other and it's on all over again. I don't think I had ever seen a more brutal fight in my entire life. The original brothers did not hold back at all. It got to the point that Rebekah was screaming for them to stop, while Marcel was holding her back probably out of fear of what could happen if she got in the middle.
"I have to stop them Marcel, they're my brothers." Rebekah says as she jumps into the scene. Marcel is next and I mentally curse.
I have half the nerve to use magic to physically remove the newlyweds from the situation. On one hand I would love for Elijah to take that trip down wolf bite lane. I could only hope that it was more measurable then my spell. But then I remembered the plan. Elijah wanted me and Klaus bad in front of everyone that Klaus held dear. I wouldn't let Klaus lose esteem because of me.
"Stop." I say suddenly causing all movement to end. I've frozen everyone in the room aside from myself. I walk over through the wreckage and touch Klaus on the arm unfreezing him. Although everyone can hear and see everything, they still can't move till I unfreeze them.
When he turns my way, his face is red, his eyebrows are furrowed and his lips are puckered. "Why did you stop me?"
I link my pinky with his. "Good question, when I figure out the answer I'll tell you."
He reaches down and kisses my head then and wraps me in his arms as all eyes are on the two of us. It's then that I unfreeze everyone. When we're all seated I speak again. "Grams always said that family breakfast helps to start the day on the right foot, and everything else had to wait till after breakfast." I say pausing. "How about we just try that?"
All vampires seem to agree because Rebekah and Marcel are back to eating. Klaus and Elijah share a heated stare but say nothing to each other. One of the warlocks on Klaus's payroll comes in looks at the scene and the preforms a spell that sets the room back to how it was before all hell broke lose. Once that's finished, everyone goes back to their original seats. It's so quiet now that it makes me a bit nervous, the only thing that calms my sudden nerves in the feeling of Klaus squeezing my thigh for reassurance. We share a look, which cause his eyes which had been amber to finally change by to denim blue. I place my hand on his thigh just as he had done mine as we get back to regular scheduled breakfast.
A server comes in soon offering up more food, juice and of course gourmet drinks for the vampires.
Everyone begins to eat again in silence.
"You know, " Marcel says looking over at me. "Your grams was a very smart lady."
I smile.
"Sheila always reminded me of Ayanna." Rebekah says suddenly. "She loved us as if we were her own."
"She was by far a better mother than the one we got." Klaus mumbles stabbing at his hash browns before finally eating them.
"She taught us how to be human, when we were no longer human." Elijah says through the swelling of his perfect facade of a face. A servant brings him a glass of blood which heals him. It's too bad the inside of him was rotten to the core.
I look over to Klaus my hand touching his. "Who is she?"
He offers a curt smile. " Ayanna was a relative of yours, one we cared for very much." He says holding onto my hand. "We knew her before we became vampires." Pause. "She loved us like we were her own and we loved her just as much."
I blink twice. "Our families were connected, friends even?" I ask dumfounded. It seemed like Bennett family had ties to just about everyone. I had already known about Emily and the Salvatore brothers and Katherine. Then Silas, that bastard, and my relative Tessa, the one he left for Amara. It seemed like everywhere I turned my family was connected to the people who were already in my life.
Rebekah drains her glass of juice. "She taught us, we were stronger together than apart." Rebekah says getting misty. "She was the mother I had always wished I had."
I watch on enthralled. I could see and hear the love that the Mikaelson siblings had for Ayanna it was written all over their faces and in each word they each spoke.
"Always and forever." The Mikaelson siblings say at the same time.
Marcel watches them and then gets more sausage. "I cannot even imagine you all back then, because you're a mess now, and will be always and forever." Marcel says cracking himself up and me as well. He wasn't lying that was for sure.
I laugh at his joke and so does everyone else, well at least they chuckle. He broke then ice around all of us.
Klaus looks over at Marcel with nothing but adoration. "You were already considered part of this family, and then you married into the family so that means you're a bigger mess than the lot of us."
"That's right." Rebekah coos leaning close to Marcel. "We're married!"
"And we'll be together till the end of time" Marcel says sappily. "Always and forever has nothing on us, nothing will ever come between us again." The vampire says passionately. "Not your brothers or our past– you're it for me Rebekah you always have been and always will be."
Though the Mikaelson men still wanted to beat the shit out of each other, they shared a look that was both of joy and disgust and I can't help but chuckle at it. The pure horror that crosses Klaus face was one I had never seen, but then again I was an only child. The closes thing I had to siblings were my friends and I had seen, heard and walked in on plenty with them. Matt was probably the worst, because he got it in anytime he could, whenever and wherever he could. Caroline was just so detail oriented about her love life, like I didn't need to know every single thing– like boundaries. With Elena it was different with each guy so gravitated to. When she was with Stefan the things she told us made all of us want to be loved the way Stefan loved her. In fact, I was positive we still held out hope for the kind of love they once shared. When it came to D&E they were the most uncomfortable things to ever witnesses. It still left a bad taste in my mouth even after all this time.
"What are you grinning at?" Marcel says noticing the look on my face as I listen to Mikaelson brothers tease Rebekah. He has a sudden contagious grin on his face and in his eyes. "You're just as bad as me mini Bennett."
I turn his way. "How so?" I ask. I was in the ideal position, a vacation fling with Klaus Mikaelson was what many would trade blood for.
"You're dating Klaus."
Klaus who had been stuffing his mouth with scones suddenly chokes while I pat at his back.
Elijah holds up his fresh new drink smug as all hell.
Rebekah catches sight at Elijah when a look crosses her face. "Don't look so smug Eli, you're far more messier than the lot of us."
Elijah then opens his mouth probably to spill lies but by the look his sister is having none of it. "I will neither confirm nor deny such things."
"Good." Rebekah says picking at her pumpkin muffin. "I heard you were at the farm- house last night."
Stiffly Elijah looks up, looks like Rebekah hit a sore spot.
"It is my home is it not?" Elijah asks so stiff you'd think he was a vampire board.
"I'm just saying..." Rebekah trails off, saying nothing more.
"Marcel, you haven't even been married long and she's already poking her nose into others business." Elijah says while he's looking constipated.
I snort. "Pot meet kettle."
"You know your sister." Marcel says easy and breezy. He's so chill, I wonder if he does yoga? I can't imagine spending so much time around this family without having some kind of coping mechanism.
Rebekah then turns her eyes in the direction of Klaus and I. She settles on Klaus probably reading the look on my face that says, you can skip me all together.
"I also heard you got into it with the town folk Nik." Rebekah says this time popping a bite of her muffin into her mouth.
Klaus who is looking at his phone doesn't spare Rebekah a look. "I did. And might I remind you– I do what I want when I want."
Eye rolls all around.
"Now Bonnie," Rebekah calls looking over at me expectantly. "I've heard all about my brothers and I know that you and Klaus have been spending plenty of time together in and out of the bedroom–"
Elijah snorts.
"No shame." Rebekah says quickly. "But what have you been up to lately?"
"Well." I say tapping my manicured nails on the breakfast table. "I stopped Klaus from skinning a warlock in front of everyone."
Rebekah blinks. "That's impressive." She smirks. "Especially since he does what he wants when he wants."
Klaus looks up at his sister. "Stop trying to plot to use Bonnie to get me to do what you want, it wont work."
Rebekah pouts. "I wasn't plotting, but it is good to know somebody can talk you down." Rebekah then looks over at me again. "Girl, fair warning, you're in for so much more than you even know."
Klaus blows out an annoyed breath but puts his arm around me and for the life of me, I can't stop myself from settling in his arms.
"What else have you been up to Bonnie, aside from steering Klaus from being his usual menace self?" Rebekah asks conversationally.
"My dress got ripped apart." I say listing off my most recent activities. "Oh and your brother attacked me." I say sparing a glare in the direction of Elijah.
Marcel dropped his fork, Klaus held onto his scone so hard it crumbled to pieces and Elijah looked like he realized I was onto him. Check mate.
Rebekah clears her throat. "Well you do look like the type of couple that likes it a bit rough."
I smile over at her. "You're right about that part, but the one who attacked me, was your other brother, the one with the perfect suit, and perfect smile and perfect hair."
All eyes go to Elijah who looks like he wants the floor to open up and swallow him whole.
Rebekah shakes her head, anger all over her face and her body. "You attacked her Elijah even after we talked?" Rebekah asks livid. "I can't believe you, you're suppose to be the level headed one." She spits. "And you're suppose to listen to your family."
My lips twitch as Rebekah chews Elijah out. It's a brilliant sight to see. "Oh you haven't heard the half of it. Elijah also accused me using Klaus to get to him."
"Self absorbed much." Rebekah says glaring at Elijah.
"And he proposed the idea of me leaving or he'd drain me dry." I say using my fingers to tick off all of his deeds.
Elijah clears his throat. "I thought we were going to let bygones be bygones, at least till after breakfast."
I hold up my plate. "I'm finished with my breakfast." I say smiling sweetly. "As for bygones, fuck that and fuck you."
Elijah wipes his mouth. "Classy, it seems your mouth is just as classy as the rest of you. You who screwed Niklaus while I was trapped in the misery of your spell only to hear the two of you through all of it." Elijah stands as if he's done with the conversation.
I was not done, and I would not be dismissed by him.
I lick my lips. "You think I don't see through you but I do. You're a sad individual Elijah, one who messed with the wrong witch." I say standing to my full height. "Katherine left you for the Salvatore brothers, Haley married another wolf and Lucy will be the next person to walk away. You see, you tried to end me and I will never forget, forgive or be cool with that. And when Lucy finds out, the illusion you've shown her will give way to who you really are– a phony."
Elijah chuckles and in a maddening kind of way. He looks like he's cracked just a little bit, but it's enough. If I dig deeper maybe the real him will show. "You sure do know how to pick them Niklaus." Elijah says suddenly.
Klaus for the most part looks on proudly at me.
"I told you about my girl, you piss her off be prepared for a fight." Klaus says simply. "Just remember, you don't touch her, ever again."
Elijah looks to Rebekah. "Rebekah?"
The only other female shrugs her shoulders. "You started this Elijah, the moment you went after her." Rebekah says a look on her face that says she's disappointed at her brother. "It's a fair fight if you fight with words. Obviously you two are never going to get along."
Elijah hits his hand on the table. "Whatever I did, was to protect our family." Elijah says suddenly. Then he looks at me. "You of all people should understand the lengths one would go for family, what would you do for your friends, for Abby or Damon?"
I could not believe he said it again. He wanted to provoke me, well he won. "Are you trying to say we are one in the same because I am nothing like you. I tried to just stay away from you after everything you did to me, and my family." I lash out as my magic reaches out onto Elijah and begins scratching at his skin. "You tried to end me last night and I will never forgive that and neither will Lucy." I remind him again because the truth seems to get under his skin.
"Leave Lucy out of this? Elijah says his tone darkening.
The bubble of laughter escapes almost immediately, it was funny how Elijah thought he held all the cards. "Have I hit a nerve, or did you really just realize what would happen when Lucy found out all that you've done. You're the reason Abby is no longer, and you attacked me last night–"
Elijah interrupts my words all the while glaring my way. "I would have done no such thing had you not reached out to another man after leaving my brothers bed." Elijah says suddenly causing everyone to go still. "You see, Niklaus," He says looking at Klaus. "I found your newest obsession calling Damon Salvatore of all people." He chuckles. "It doesn't take a rocket scientists to see where this is leading and I was trying to protect you from her, I was doing you a favor."
I wasn't sure what Klaus would do, he looked angry but I wasn't sure whom he was angry with. It was only when he spoke again that I really got my answer.
"I don't need your protection Elijah, not from Bonnie." Pause. "I trust her, she could've left but she didn't not after you, not after me, she stayed because she wanted to and I wanted her to stay just as much."
Elijah nods his head. "You're a fool."
"No, you're the fool!" I snap. "What you did, I wont keep quiet about. I'm telling Lucy everything and I mean everything, about Abby and how you caused her ending and about you attacking me! She'll see the same man I see when I look at you– you're a monster in a nice suit."
Elijah hits the table again so hard it cracks. "I told you before, you leave her out of this!" He demands. "I'm warning you."
His last words seems to effect just about everyone because soon, everyone is talking at the same time. Rebekah is fussing or at least it looks like she fussing in a foreign language. Klaus is beginning to shift, Marcel is trying to guard me and I'm yelling behind Marcel at Elijah to make that move and watch what will happen.
It's only when a loud whistle sounds that we stop arguing turning to see Lucy a box of sticky buns in hand, with Josh at her side.
"What's going on here?" Lucy asks looking between all of us.
Immediately Elijah is all up in front of Lucy trying to woo her with words as we all watch on.
"Lucy, look at me." Elijah says turning her head. "Lets go back to the farmhouse and have breakfast for two."
Lucy shakes her head. "No." She says walking in front of him. "Bon, tell me."
"Lucy?" Elijah calls his body stoic.
"I'm not talking to you." Lucy snaps. "Bonnie, tell me?"
And so I began my story though I didn't start from the very beginning, I started with everything that happened early morning and worked my way backwards.
"Elijah, had it in his head that I was a threat to his family, and that I was using Klaus to get to him." I say.
Lucy shakes her head. "That makes no sense. Why would you use anyone to get to Elijah and if you were going to use someone, wouldn't it be someone less complicated."
"That part." I deadpan.
"And anyone with eyes can see what's going on between the two of you." Lucy points out. "What else happened?"
I swallow hard. "He tried to eliminate me for the second time, this time being because I called Damon."
"What!" Lucy nearly screams. "What do you mean the second time, when was the first time?"
"Back home, it was this whole thing with Abby, me and Ester Mikaelson. He wanted to sever the link between Abby and I, and his mother." I pause. "Stefan was suppose to sever the line by any means necessary–" I swallow hard. "In the end Abby was the one to go because Damon made the final call of who was going to go." I had tears now. "Elijah made the call Lucy, he was using Elena as a bargaining chip and we were collateral. He's the reason Abby is no longer and I don't doubt for a second that he wouldn't have just got us both had Damon not made the choice for him."
"Good lord Bon, why didn't you tell me. Had I known all that he had done and all that he would've done I never would've looked at him." Lucy says grabbing my hands.
Now it was my turn to shift from one foot to the other. I looked down at my feet in a nervous habit before finally meeting her eyes. "You liked him and... I wanted you to be able to be free to make your own decisions without my input."
Lucy steps closer to me. "Bon, I know you grew up in backwards ass M.F. but down here we stick with our own." She grabs my hand. "No dick, not even original dick is worth going against my blood, and you are my blood, my family." She says cupping my cheek with her other hand.
I close my eyes as tears threaten to fall. "I'm sorry Luce, I've been mostly on my own for so long that," I swallow hard. "I forget what it's like to have real family around me."
Lucy leans close. "We're family, and I've got you and you've got me." Lucy reminds me warmly.
Elijah makes a move to step forward causing Lucy to snap her head in his direction. "Lucy, all I ask is just a few moments of your time."
Lucy tosses her hair back off her shoulders, her eyes trained on Elijah because she's ready to fight. "Why so you can spin the truth and lie to me any further." she says stomping toward him.
Seconds later, Lucy slaps Elijah hard across the face. "I gave you world class sex, and you come home and attack my family?" She's running her hands through her hair. "You bastard! You tried to take away the only family I have left in this world."
Elijah has the nerve to look sad. "I was just trying to protect my family."
"By trashing mine?" She roars.
Elijah looks down. "I will tell you everything, just please give me a few moments of your time."
Elijah then makes the mistake of trying to reach out for Lucy because she pulls away real quick daggers in her eyes.
"You wanna talk, we'll talk, I've got quite a few choice words for you." Lucy says walking out of the breakfast room.

Lucy
Marching out of the breakfast room she finds herself outside feeling much better out in the elements. She looks back at the mansion which felt way too cramp when she had been inside, to see Elijah walk way too slow for a vampire.
"I'm sorry." Elijah starts to say.
"You're sorry?" She asks shaking her head and gesturing towards him. "You're sorry for what, for Bonnie telling the truth? Are you sorry that I found out, what are you possibly sorry for Elijah?"
He stuffs his hands into his pockets. "It wasn't suppose to be this way." He says softly.
She chuckles to herself, maddening so. "I thought you were different, turns out you're just like any other stuck up, pretensions jackass I've ever met." she tilts her head back and looks to the sky. "I should've seen you coming a mile away, I'm usually better at that, next time I will be."
Elijah takes the necessary steps to stand toe to toe with her, all the while holding his hands up. "I am not a threat to you, I'd never hurt you and I do not want you to blame yourself for what happened."
She pushes at his chest. "I don't blame myself, I blame you!" She snaps. "I may have been under your spell but no longer. You messed with my family, and that is something I will never forget or forgive." She says turning away. She was ready to get Bonnie and get the hell out of here.
She doesn't get far because Elijah holds onto her arm. "You said what you said, now it's my turn."
"Let me go, or we're going to have a bigger problem." She says snatching her arm away.
Elijah quickly lets and take a step back. "I didn't plan what happened with Bonnie last night."
She puts her hands on her hips. "Is this you admitting you attacked her."
"Yes." He says putting his head down slightly. "But, I was just trying to protect my family," Pause. "I would expect you would understand."
She snickers. "Wow, the nerve and the privilege of it all." She clicks her tongue. "Your true colors are showing loud and proud now."
He licks his lips. "You have no idea, all that I am, who I am– but I can show you if you just give me another chance."
She gets up close to him. "No. You had your chance and you will never have me again." She slaps him hard across the face then, not caring the repercussions. "You went after Bonnie, why not go after me– you big bad original vampire in a suit."
Elijah shakes his head. "I wont hur't you. You're the first person in a long time I've felt really connected to."
"But you'll hurt my family?" she walks away again. "Do you really think I'd ever want you again after what you've done?"
Elijah places his hands together and walks closer. "I understand, your fury." He says pausing. "I do, but in that moment I thought I was protecting my family against a threat." He bites his lip. "Bonnie is basically holding Niklaus heart in her hand, if she breaks it– he'll never recover. I was never really going to hurt her, I just wanted to scare her enough for her to leave."
She can't help it she starts to laugh hysterically. "Bennett women are not easily scared off. We do live by the code of an eye for an eye though." She smiles then. "Watch your back Elijah because you've just made another enemy."

Bonnie
While Rebekah and Marcel were tuning unto the Lucy and Elijah show Klaus levels me with a look. Getting scolded by Klaus was something I never ever thought would happen, in fact as he approaches me, I'm still kind thinking this whole thing is a bad dream that I've failed to wake up from.
It's the sound of his voice which is warm and reminds me the feeling I get after a shot of whisky.
"I thought we agreed that we were going to have a peaceful breakfast." Klaus says bridging the gap between us so that he's standing so close our feet are touching. His hands are buried deep into his pockets as looks at me with curious eyes.
I tilt my head up and wrap my arms around his neck, while Klaus puts an arm around me. "I tried, I really did." I admit knowing full well that we now had an audience. "But he's so condescending in his speeches and insanely smug." I could go on, but judging by the twitch of very kissable lips Klaus thought my words about Elijah were amusing. "Don't laugh."
"I find you fired up rather amusing my dear." Klaus dimples.
I shake my head. "I don't know how you deal with him, he's a know it all who thinks he's better than everyone. I've dealt with my share of snobs but your brother takes the cake."
He wraps his other arm around me. "Eli, is an acquired taste."
I scoff. "And I thought you were the worst, turns out Elijah won that round."
He dimples again. "You thought I was the worst, what about now?"
I shrug. "You've got your perks." I say resting my head on his chest.
For a few seconds Klaus just hold me close before speaking again.
"I deal with Elijah by making sure he takes frequent 500 year naps." He says a grin in his voice.
I smile now and bury my face in his chest. "You think we can put him down for a nap, just for a few years or so?"
Klaus leans down intent written all over his face. When our faces are close to another Rebekah stops up with her voice.
"How are you two bonding over this mess?" Rebekah asks outraged.
We don't get a chance to say anything because Lucy power walks back into the breakfast room.
"Bonnie, lets go." Lucy says anger rolling off of her.
Klaus who had already had his arms wrapped around me, tightens his grip.
"Wait." Klaus calls out almost panicked. "What's a little turmoil between family?" He asks only to get several blinks. "Elijah has been dealt with by Bonnie, and I have my own plans as well for him... you don't have to leave."
Lucy sends Klaus a look. "Lover boy, I get it, but we need to leave now." Lucy says only for Elijah to pop up in the room hands in his pockets looking sad.
"Lucy?" Elijah calls.
"As for you." Lucy says whirling around to face Elijah now. Her magic is swirling around the room connecting with my magic which had been reacting to everything around me. "You Elijah Mikaelson, stay the fuck away from me, and my cousin." Lucy grounds out. "And be sure to tell whoever you pissed off that I kicked your dusty ass to the curb." She says holding onto a manila envelope I hadn't noticed before. "This was on my porch."
I turn to look at Klaus. "I'll talk to you later." I say before pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
When I make my escape I head upstairs grabbing my purse and phone. Once I've arrived back downstairs everyone is standing around, looking at each other. The Mikaelson siblings are glaring at one another while Marcel is kind enough to walk Lucy and I out of the house.
"Listen, I won't tell you how to live, but with the Mikaelson siblings comes a lot of drama, sometimes it's from within and other times it's external. But once you get them in your system, they're a hard thing to get out."
Lucy who had been looking out at the property turns to Marcel, a warm smile on her face. "I am already out, you be careful." She then gets into the car, leaving Marcel and I alone.
"That advice goes for you as well, he's not easy and neither is she, but they are worth it." Marcel says fondly about Klaus and Rebekah.
I nod. "Take care of him, he's been on the verge of snapping for like twelve hours and counting."
Marcel smiles then and offers me a hug.
Once he's gone I hop into the car with Lucy. We share a look as I hold out my hand to her and she holds it. Bennett women stick together through and through.
Before we get a chance to share even a word, my phone starts ringing. Looking down I notice it's Damon calling. I look to Lucy, who is probably just as excited as I was because Vincent was with Damon and Damon attracted trouble like he attracted everything else.
"Damon, I'm so glad you finally called." I pause to catch my breath. "I was so worried about you! Don't you ever pull a stunt like that on me again, I don't care what the circumstances are."
I hear a chuckle but it sounds foreign to my ears.
"I always wondered what it would be like to talk to you again, to hear your voice, to say hello my gorgeous girl and now I've got my chance."
Ice, that was what I felt running through my veins as his voice actually registered in my head.
"Enzo." I say as dread fills me. If he has Damon's phone then something...anything could've happened.
"The one and only." Smile.
