Stranded Anniversary

"How long has it been?" She asked stepping onto the sand, her foot sinking in just a bit with the movement of the soft minerals. The tall man beside her laughed aloud as he too stood next to her "Almost 11 years." He deeply inhaled, smelling the vast humid jungle. "It's kinda nostalgic" she said with a smile before hearing a loud yell. They turned seeing a girl fall from the side of the boat above them. She shakes her head disappointingly as he walks side to side "I got her, I got her." He said before jumping and catching her midair. "That was fun!" She chuckled before wincing as the older woman pinched her cheek "And what if he didn't catch you!" She snapped before watching as the tall man gives the girl a tight bear hug and through a gritted grin speaks "You know how I feel about you doing that stuff."

She groans and giggles through the toughness "Yes daddy... I know..." He loosens his grip and gives her cheek a barrage of kisses "Your lucky I love you so much!" The girl giggles pushing his face away. The orange haired woman smiles at the two and turns back to the vast jungle, with a deep breath recalling their vast time. The love and tragedy they experienced forever engraved in her mind. "You okay?" She hears, turning to her husband and daughter with a smile "I'm just perfect."

Luffy, sets his daughter down and hooks his arm around Nami's back, kissing her head as he rubs her shoulder. "So... where are we?" The little girl asks, her short hair jet black, but the tips are orange wearing a tank top with shorts, about the size of a 16 year old for being 11. Luffy kneels with a sigh "This, this island right here, this is where you were born." Nami bends over and ruffles her soft short hair "Where our baby monkey Bell was born." She chuckled. Bell stared confused at the two before turning to the island "I thought... I was born on the ship?" Nami walks to bells side, holding her hand out to her "Did you think we were all born on the ship?" Luffy laughed before taking Bells other hand "We'll show you where, but let's go for a little walk first.

As the three walk Bell glances around and then back toward the ship "What about uncle moss and swirly? Why isn't Chopper or Warrior Usopp coming? Auntie Robin? Robot? The spooky skeleton and Jimbe?" Luffy chuckles at the nicknames, "So, allow me to explain. On this island, it was just me and dad." She stared up at Nami confused "You two? Alone? Without Swirly cooking for daddy or Robins dark humor?" She questioned. "Crazy right." Luffy grinned "We lived here, alone, for 4 years I think." He says tapping his chin. "4 YEARS?! Your lying!" She shouted in surprise looking up at him suspiciously.

"It's true." Nami says before looking toward the mountain "For 4 years we... lived here. Of course it was tough, if it wasn't for dad..." she quieted with a sorrow look before looking down at her and smiling happily "If your daddy wasn't there, i probably wouldn't be walking beside you, you probably wouldn't even be here." Bell glances at the ground processing her mothers words before feeling the two of them stop. She looks at them seeing them look ahead, she too stares but seeing a small wooden shack, the wood looking somewhat old and decrepit "What's that?"

"Our first house here." Luffy laughs "It's so cheap compared to what we build later." Nami giggles and shakes her head "You did all the work, I just told you where to put 'em." Bell walks up to the small structure, seeing nothing but a few leaves "How on earth did you guys sleep here? No blankets? No pillows? And it's really small!" Luffy looked inside and smiled "We weren't always this tall yknow." Nami leaned against the small shack and chuckled "And we didn't stay here long either." Bell looked at watched as the two discussed direction before pointing further into the forest.

"Wonder if he's still here?" Luffy says before making a loud whistle that echos across the island. Bell plugs her ears at the high frequency "Why so loud?" Nami pats Bells head "Sorry, we don't know if he's on the other side of the island." She looked up at them with a weirded out look "He?" As she spoke the ground shook and rumbled, as if a stampede was rapidly approaching. Luffy grins "SUSHI! YOU STILL HERE!" He yells at the top of his lungs before being greeted by a big cat pushing him into his back.

Bell sees the large cat and hides behind Nami, watching the big kitty lick Luffys face and nuzzle against his chest. "Sushi!" Luffy laughs hugging the big soft cat. Nami smiles and walks to the cat kneeling beside Sushi. The cat turns to her, purring as Nami pets it's soft head and rubs behind its round ears "Hey Sushi, you've gotten so big." She giggles hugging the cat, it mewls happily "I'm sorry we left you behind." She whispers giving a small kiss to the kitty.

"Bell, come here." Luffy asks waving his hand toward him. Bell slowly walks toward them, she groans as the kitty sniffs her before nuzzling against her. "Sushi's been with us since probably a few months before you." Luffy explains "Like he was a test to see if we could take care of a baby." Nami continues. "Ok... but why's it called Sushi? That's a terrible name." Luffy and Nami glance at her before Luffy falls back laughing hysterically. Nami pouts crossing her arms "Shut up! We don't need to talk about why!" Bell stares confused seeing Luffy stand up "Welp. Sushi, could you lead us home?" He asks the Kitty.

"Ugh the bugs." Bell murmurs swatting at the flies as the 4 of them follow the grassy trail. "Once we get closer you shouldn't need to worry about bugs." Luffy says "Though you might be surprised by what you see." He's stopped mid sentence by a heavy rumble, shaking the island. Bell grabs Luffys shorts bracing herself "What's that?!" Luffy stroked his chin, getting a gentle hand on his shoulder from Nami, he turns seeing her a bit worried "It.. should be nothing. But if it's got a bit of a grudge then..." Nami groans grabbing his arm she drags him forward.

Bell gazes upon the flat land, a wooden house looking a bit run down, sharp sticks sticking out of the ground and more cats roaming around "Is this?" She murmurs feeling a faint sense of nostalgia. "This is it, the last house we had together on this island." Luffy says greeting the cats using a bit of haki to reestablish his alpha status. "You we're born here, at this very house." Nami said nuzzling her cheek against Bells. "Wanna look inside?" Nami smiles holding out her hand, Bell looks up then down and takes her mothers palm, being led toward the cabin.

Bell walks in, seeing some little wood figures on the ground, looking around she sees a small rugged crib, torn fur covering the walls and laid on the floor like carpet. Just across from the front door was a bedroom, walking to it she sees the large bed. "The three of us laid in that bed together, well, sometimes you slept in the crib." Nami explains sitting on the edge of the bed. Bell sits beside her, the air being weirdly cozy, she feels relaxed, sleepy almost. "Bell?" Nami spoke softly, Bell turns to her mother.

Nami smiles softly, caressing her daughters cheek "You, my little monkey, are the greatest thing to come from this island. What started out as scary confusing chaos, turned to you. Daddy did everything, to make sure we, us, we're alive and well. He fought tooth and nail, stayed up nights, and even made some mistakes. I wanted us to come here to show you where you came from, and how happy we are to have you." She presses her forehead against Bells, feeling tears prick her eyes "We love you so much, you, my baby, my little Monkey, my Bell, my daughter, are proof, we lived, and proof, we are a family." She opens her eyes, greeted to the sight of her crying daughter. She smiles through her tears and hugs her "The best year of this island, was with you. Thank you for being our baby." The two share this tender moment of silence, Bell nearly on the verge of sobbing as Nami rubs her back. The two jump a little startled by the sudden hug from Luffy "I love you both. And thank you for being with me." Nami breaks first openly crying as she hugs Luffy with one arm, holding Bell in her other. Bell breaks down crying as she hugs both of them tightly "I love you... mom... dad..."

The 3 sit outside, the sun set with a bonfire burning. Nami leans against Luffys shoulder as Bell lays in his lap, Sushi laying beside him to his left. "How... can you come back here after everything?" Bell asks softly with a big yawn. Luffy looks to Nami seeing her shift. "Cause even after everything, we still loved our time here, even if most of it was a nightmare. But.. it's mainly you." Nami explains hugging Luffys arm. Bell sniffles and turns around to hug Luffys chest. Luffy rubs her back, soon hearing quiet snores from her. Nami smiles seeing their daughter sleeping so quickly "Should we head back?" Luffy nods and gently stands up. Nami puts out the fire as Luffy carries Bell. Luffy looks at Sushi, seeing the cat purr as it nuzzles his leg. "Luffy..." Nami murmurs, Luffy sighs and nods "Come on Sushi, I'm sorry we left you behind." Sushi meows as he follows behind them.

Sanji sighs and rubs his face, Zoro and Robin chuckle "Guess they fell in love all over again." The 3 watched as Luffy, Nami, Bell, and Sushi slept in one big pile against the mast. Robin gently covered them in a blanket before leaving. Sanji sighed and walked back to the kitchen. Zoro glanced toward the island, seeing a large ape standing above the trees. They exchange glances from miles away before the ape disappears behind the mountain. Zoro huffs and walks inside.

I've kinda been planing for an anniversary since the last chapter. This is it, no more Stranded. I know it's very messy, lots of spelling errors, but I'm glad some of you could enjoy it. I've read all the comments and really thank you for loving this story. And I can't believe I forgot about Sushi when I ended it. I hope this makes up for it. Happy 1 year anniversary of Stranded, Happy Halloween, and thank you for all the likes, I hope to make something this big again in the future.
