Rise of the Vampire Queen
Chapter Two
Out in a field with the night sky above a woman with long reddish-brown hair and crisom red eyes walking thought a field as the wind brush across her skin. As she grew closer to the house her long black dress danced upon the wind.
A smile crept across her face as two figures were waiting for her at the end of the field by the house. For there was Elizabeth and standing beside her was Percy. The woman's smile remained across her face as she brushes her hand across Elizabeth's cheek.
"You've done well,"
Elizabeth nodded and bowed to the woman wo looked to Percy's whose eyes were as red as hers.
"So you are Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon," The woman said circling around Percy. "I am Natalia I am your queen."
Percy bowed which caused a smile to creep across Natalia lips. "So, tell me Percy are you ready to shake things up?
"Yes, my queen," Percy said followed with a bow.
The smile across Natalia's lips grew even wider, she turned around and held her back and laugh at the night sky before narrowing her eyes.
"Now the fun can begin,"
As the days went by, the once clear blue sky now held a dark gray tint as a dozen of dark clouds filled the sky.
Sitting in the lobby in Big House, Diyonus stared at the tip of the broken spear head in the plastic bag. How could this simple weapon injury Chiron so badly? He pondered. But it was what Chiron said to him that made his mind doing cartwheels. Elizabeth King was the child of Bacchus a side of him he never wants to acknowledge. Sighing Dionysus shook his head pushing those thought to the back of his mind as he opens the clear plastic bag. Dionysus pulled out the spearhead to inspect it.
"Hm, what's this, Dionysus said, looking closer at the tip of the spearhead.
Looking closer at the spearhead, he noticed some strange symbols across it. Curious, he spread his finger over the writing. He winced and pulled his finger away as a drop of blood filled in the writing. He watched as it pooled at the very tip of the spearhead. His eyes narrowed as the spearhead glowed a bright red. He then leaned back in his chair as a red mist swirled around his body, engulfing him. A tingling sensation erupted as a smile crept across his lips, for this was a feeling he hadn't felt in a very long time.
Meanwhile, outside in the camp, Grover and Annabeth were heading to math. Even with what happen they still had a math test to take. The two of them were about to walk into one of the tents when they spotted a teen with raven black hair with their backs to them. Mumbling.
While they knew they should head to class something didn't seem right at all. So, Annabeth took a step forward to the young woman.
"Hey are you okay?" Annabeth asked.
The ebony skin turned around revealing her glowing sea blue eyes as a tears trickle down her cheeks. Grover eyes widen it was Angela the camps youngest seer-in training.
"Angela what wrong?"
The young teen pointed back where Grover and Annabeth came from. Annabeth shook her head she didn't understand. Grover walked up to Angela and laid a hand on her shoulder.
"Remember, you have to use your words," Grover said
Nodding Angela closed her eyes and took a deep breath before looking back at Grover and Annabeth.
"Something is wrong, I see so much red coming from Big House. I also see a face lingering in the shadows of the red and it frightens me."
Annabeth's eyes widen and she took off running towards big house.
"Don't worry, we are going to check it out,"
Angela nodded as Grover took off after Annabeth.
"Be safe you two."
Back in the Big House, Dionysus' eyes now held a red tint as he inhaled more of the mist. His lounge slid across teeth were now a few inches larger and sharper. Shaking his head, Dionysus needed to focus, but the sensation he was feeling was wonderful. In fact, he didn't want to end.
"Feels good, doesn't it?" a female's voice asked him.
Dionysus couldn't place it, but the voice he heard sounded so familiar.
"Yes, but who are you?" Dionysus asked the voice.
"Ah, not yet enjoy this sensation for we will talk again…" the voice said, fading away.
Swaying back-and-forth, Dionysus inhaled more the mist but he couldn't get the woman's voice out of his mind. Who was she, and why did she sound so familiar?
Annabeth and Grover finally reach Big House. They busted through the door and into the lobby. Their eyes widen as it was a huge red mist circling around something or someone.
"Mr. D!" Annabeth shouted.
"Mr. D!" Grover yelled.
An answer came as a low growl that shook Annabeth and Grover to the core. But they refuse to give up some with a nod as they moved a little closer. That's when they noticed a shadow within in the mist, along with a pair of glowing red eyes.
"Mr. D please wake up!" Annabeth screamed at the top of her lungs.
Within the mist, Dionysus opened his eyes as a voice broke though. Looking around, the dense mist waned and disappeared. Once it was, gone Dionysus dropped the spearhead on the table as his red tint in his eyes returned to their normal brown state. While he was sad that sensation was gone, he was glad to be in control of his body again.
Grover pushed the spearhead back in to the plastic bag with a piece of paper. Sealing it up, Dionysus nodded to Grover who took it away.
"Thank you I um…seem to lose control there."
"Yeah, I won't lie those eyes glowing in the mist and that growl scared me."
Dionysus sighed as he looked away for a moment by this time Grover had returned.
"If we ask what that was would you tell us?" Annabeth asked.
"No…" Dionysus said bluntly.
"Understandable, so what did you find about the spearhead?"
"It's enchanted. There are symbols on the metal that reach to blood." Dionysus said.
"That's why Chiron's wound is taking longer to heal?" Grover asked.
"Correct," Dionysus replied.
"Sir?" Annabeth asked noticing Dionysus scratching his chin.
Looking to Annabeth and Grover a thought slipped into his mind one that he hoped wasn't the case.
"A blood enchantment that could be what the symbols are on the spearhead."
"So, witches then?" Annabeth asked.
"They are not the only ones that can perform such a feat…. believe it or not vampires can do it too."
"You're kidding vampires? they haven't been seen for over hundreds of years" Annabeth said
"If that's true then..." Grover trailed off
"Then we are in a lot more trouble than we thought."
