Hush

Chapter Six

Tina…. please be okay

Henry continued staring at the destroyed massage and spa parlor. Nadine put her hand on Henry's shoulder while Percy moved closer to the building. He scanned over the door and while Grover joined him. Nadine nudged Henry, pulling him out his trance.

"Let's go inside," Nadine said.

Nodding, Henry Nadine and Annabeth walked in side with Percy and Grover following right behind them. From the sound of glass crunching under their feet to the sigh crackles along the walls as they walked down the hallway. When they reached the front desk, there was no one around, only a trail of debris the seem to split into two directions. Stepping over knocked over potted plants and broken chairs. Percy made his way over to the desk. His eyes narrowed upon seeing an odd purple dust all over it.

Bending down, Henry placed his hand over the shred up carpet.

"This wasn't done by a human," he said.

Now that Henry thought about it, all the buildings they came across. The glass was more glass on the other side and even the torn off doors were outside as well. They had found more glass on the inside of the build here than anywhere else. His eyes narrowed as he clenched his fist.

Annabeth tapped Henry, pointing to a dark purple residue on the couches and even the walls. He looked at Percy, who pointed to the same thing all over the desk. Grover reached out to the residue on the wall, only for Grover to stop him.

He's right, it could be dangerous." Henry said, standing back up.

Looking between the two hall ways one had a sign that read Spa the other message. Henry looked back at everyone. Nadine touched his hand.

"Are we splitting up?" Nadine asked.

"Looks like it. You go with Percy and his friends I'll be fine." Henry said.

Before Nadine could protest, Henry let go of her hand and walked down the hallway called massage. While Nadine followed Percy, Annabeth and Grover down the hall that read Spa.

Cautiously walking down the hall, Henry stepped over a few chairs and plants, which joined the many shares of glass, paper, and towels that lined the floor. Many of the message tables were turned over, and some were even ripped apart.

As Henry continued walking, he reached a room that said heavenly touch. Walking inside, he stopped in the middle of the room. Looking to his left noticed many of the chairs were still intact, as with the tables. Even most of the lotions and elixirs used were till upright on the table. But when he looked to the right, the chairs were torn in half and the tables were cut in two with a mixture of lotions bottles spilled all over the broken glass.

Henry moved in the direction when he noticed a human like foot print in a puddle of the lotion. Walking closer to the back wall against the broken glass, there was a print of a hand. Not looking up, he gripped his staff tight as he moved it upward, hoping to hit the ceiling, but it didn't. instead, a squealing noise reached his ears as he tosses whatever his staff touched to the floor.

Hissing emulated from the tables pieces as they were thrown aside, revealing a shadow creature with enormous claws and glowing red eyes. It smiled, licking its lips as it looked at Henry.

Cracking his neck and knuckles, Henry narrowed his eyes as the shadow charged toward him.

"I sure hope the others are far better than me," Henry said before charging towards the creature.

Meanwhile, walking down the spa hallway, Percy and Grover lead the way while Annabeth and Nadine followed. Kicking a few pieces of debris out of the way, they couldn't find anything or anyone around.

"It's too quiet," Percy said.

"Yeah, do you even think Tina is even here?" Grover asked.

Percy's eyes widen, he stopped and turned to Grover. "I can hear you."

"Yeah, Nadine is touching your back, right?" Grover asked.

"No, I'm not," Nadine said in a surprising tone. "My powers have grown."

"Let's discuss this later. Something's coming," Annabeth said, pointing a head at them.

Percy and Grover pulled out their swords and narrowed their eyes, and the shadow of a being was moving toward them. As it moved closer, it looked human. The overhead light popped on, revealing a person with all teal blue shirt and pants uniform on with matching shoes. But there was some kind of medium size tub head preventing her from seeing.

"I won't let you take me!" the woman shouted as she punched in Percy's direction and then Grover's.

Both teens stepped back easily, dodging her attacks, but when she followed with a sidekick, it sent Grover smacking up against the wall while missing Percy by an inch.

Noticing the crystal sliver wrapping around her knuckles, Nadine knew exactly who this was. Knowing she couldn't get close, she hopes her new power was still working.

"Tina!" Nadine yelled.

The woman put her hands down and looked in the person's direction who said her name.

"Naddy?" the woman asked.

"Yes, it's me. You're hurting my. friends. Let us help you," Nadine replied.

"Ah, sorry about that."

Percy moved over to Grover and helped him up. Nodding, the two walked over either side of Tina placed their hand on the tub. After a few tugs, the tub popped off, revealing a woman with long brown hair and emerald green eyes.

"Thank you, I'm sorry about before," Tina bowed slightly. "I am Tina, The Sensory Goddess of Touch.

"I'm Percy, this is Grover and Annabeth. We came here with Henry."

Tina's eyes widen the moment he said that name. "Where is he?

"He went down the message hallway." Nadine said.

Tina took off running, with the others following right behind her.

"It might still be there. We need to hurry!

The moment they got to the front desk area, they watched as a shadow like creature with claws went flying, smacking against the wall. Breathing hard, Henry emerged from the other hall with his staff ready as he walked toward the creature. Glancing over to the others, he locked eyes with Tina who jump out in front out in front of him.

As the creature stood up, it looked in their direction by this time Percy, Annabeth Grover, and Nadine had joined Tina and Henry. Backing up, the creature knew it was outnumbered. It morphed into a cloud of purple mist and disappeared.

Henry wrapped Tina into a bear hug, which led to her hitting him until he let her go. But a smile remained on his face.

"I'm glad you're okay." Henry said.

"As am I," Tina said before looking to Nadine, Percy Annabeth and Grover. "Naddy has grown. The only friend she ever had been to us."

Nadine smiled. "I have grown if I want to save the world"

Henry's eyes widened, followed by another smile. "I see that's not all that has grown."

"We're trying to find Veronica to convince her to return her gift to the world." Percy said.

"Thanks to her reaching out to Nadine we found out she is in a tower." Henry added.

Tina shook her head. "While I don't know where to look, I want to help." Tina said.

"Good. Where should we go next?" Percy asked.

"To find Thomas and Samantha because we're going to need all the help we can get." Tina said.

At the tower, Veronica walked toward the entrance, with Vincent by her side.

"I thought Jeffery would join us," Veronica said.

"He said he had something to take care of and he would catch up with us later." Vincent said.

"I see Veronica said as her and Vince reached the main doors of the Tower.

Looking down for a moment, she looked to Vincent, then back at the dozen of men and woman who followed behind her, some with bows and arrows while other held swords and daggers.

"Are you ready to head out?" Vincent asked as he looked at her.

"Almost, I have a question," Veronica said.

"Okay,"

"Do you think I made the right choice about taking away my gift?" Veronica asked.

Vincent paused for a moment before opening his mouth.

"Yes, the humans deserve this punishment. Vincent replied. But little did she know his eyes gave off a reddish glow.

Veronica sighed. She remembered Vincent's answer the first time she asked him that question. But now her eyes were open. When she looked back at the warriors behind her, their eyes also held a red glow. Forcing a smile upon her lips, Veronica looked forward.

"Let's head out,"

Elsewhere in the tower, Jeffery entered a room lined with white walls and, sitting in the center, was a woman with long brown hair wearing a white gown. She had a small thick black veil that covered her eyes. Her feet were chained to the floor, as her arms were chained to the chair. Her head tilted slight at the sound of the door opening.

"It's you, isn't it?" The woman said.

"Yes," Jeffery said.

"Coming to gloat as usual," the woman said.

Jeffery laughed as walked over and stood in front of the woman.

"You know me too well,"

"I should, for I see right through you and I didn't even need my eyes for that."

Jeffery leaned in closer till he was inches away from the woman's face.

"That's why I captured you first."

The woman bit her lip, much to Jeffery's delight.

"Because of a group of hybrids and one of your beloved Sensory's I had to push my plans forward."

"They will stop you,"

"Oh, I doubt it as we speak. Two more of your Sensory's are now under my control.

This time, the woman leaned in, causing Jeffery to take a step back. "We'll just see about that.
