Harley walked through the streets of his neighborhood to find his little sister Emily. She had ran away from Harley because she thought he had assaulted her for no reason. She didn't know that it wasn't Harley who had hit her but somebody else who had possessed Harley's body. A toad spy who worked for KOMPLEX swapped bodies with Harley Keener in a effort to get Bucky O'Hare and his crew to hate humanity by forcing Harley to be evil that would cause Bucky to kick Harley and his sister Emily out of his team. That plan nearly succeeded, if Harley hadn't intervened. Harley had almost been kicked out of Bucky O'Hare's team because of a toad spy corrupting his mind. Now, Emily had left him because of a body swap fiasco.
Emily was walking down a random street. Normally, she wouldn't think of running away from home. Emily was so upset by what Harley did to her that she wanted to get away from him for the time being. Emily could get hurt out in the open all by herself. There'd be no telling what could happen to her. She could get kidnapped, raped or worse by somebody. She was only eleven years old. Emily stood outside the curb in the corner of a nearby street. She was not far away from home. She was still upset by what Harley unknowingly did to her. She knew deep down that her brother would never harm her. It wasn't like Harley to do that.
Harley was frantically trying to search for Emily. She could be anywhere. Harley was starting to get worried. What if he couldn't find her? What if he found her dead? Harley continued searching for Emily. He eventually spotted her up the street. He ran up to her. Emily looked up to see her brother running toward her. She froze. She didn't know whether or not he was going to hurt her or not. She held up her arms in self defense, in case if Harley decided to hit her anymore.
"Emily!" Harley exclaimed. He stopped right in front of her. Harley saw that Emily held both of her arms in front of her face. It was dusk outside. Harley knelt down in front of her. He could see that Emily was scared.
"Why do you have your arms held in front of your face?" Harley asked his sister.
"Please don't hurt me!" Emily said.
"That wasn't me who hurt you back on the Righteous Indignation. It was somebody else who impersonated me." Harley explained to Emily.
"Bullshit!" Emily said. "I saw you hit me!"
"You know damn well I wouldn't hurt you. You know that I would never hit you like that." Harley said to Emily. Emily knew her brother was right. He would never harm her. It wasn't like Harley to do that.
"If it wasn't you who hit me on the Righteous Indignation, then who hurt me?" Emily asked Harley.
"It was a toad spy who swapped bodies with me. The toad spy corrupted my mind and body in an effort to make Bucky O'Hare and his crew to hate me and you and to distrust humanity. The plan nearly succeeded. The toad spy within my human self was evil and he didn't care you. He started to physically assault you. I woke up in the body of the toad spy that corrupted my human body. I found out KOMPLEX's plan of one of his spies to infiltrate me to sabotage Bucky and his friends. He almost kicked me and you out of his team. I forced the toad spy to switch bodies with me again so that way I could my own body back. It worked. I then found the note explaining that you were gonna run away from home because I supposedly hurt you." Harley explained to Emily.
Emily took a few minutes to let the information Harley told her sink in. She now knew what really happened aboard the Righteous Indignation. "So basically it's like Freaky Friday and an episode of Quantum Leap?" Emily asked
"Kind of. It wasn't nearly as exciting as the stuff Annabel Andrews or Sam Beckett went through." Harley said. He hugged his sister tightly. Emily apologized for writing the note. Harley accepted her apology. They both walked back home. They walked up the front steps of their house. Bucky was in the living room watching TV with his Aunt Iris on the sofa. Bucky heard Harley and Emily walk through the front door. The green rabbit turned his body to look at both Harley and Emily. He was happy to see them.
"Harley! Emily! So good to see you two!" Bucky said to Harley and Emily enthusiastically.
"It's great to see you too, Bucky." Harley said.
"Glad to see you found your sister." Bucky said.
"I know." Harley said. Harley and Emily went upstairs to their bedrooms. Harley invited Bucky to play Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64 with him. Harley introduced the space rabbit to the Mario games. He told him about every single Mario character, including Toad. Bucky damn near vaporized the Super Mario 64 cartridge with his maser pistol upon finding out that there was a character in the Mario games named Toad. Harley had to explain in detail the the Mario character of Toad wasn't the kind of toads he was thinking of. Bucky then found Nintendo of America's phone number and he went on a hour and a half rant about the fact that one of their video game characters was named after his worst enemies. Nintendo didn't take Bucky's rant serioiusly. They told Bucky that they weren't going to remove the character of Toad from the Mario games regardless of whether or not he liked Toad or not.
