Marry For Love

Chapter 13: Contractual Agreements

(3 weeks until wedding)

A single strand of blonde hair peeked out of her braid, annoying her as she slid it from in front of her eye back into place. Her pencil skirt of deep purple matched her blazer as only a true set could, and as the elevator dinged, Ino Yamanaka made her way into the office where she worked. The Sarutobi Law Group was a multimillion dollar firm, with ten top lawyers who all came together many years ago as major players in the company.

As Ino passed by an associate's desk, her posture exuded perfection and a satisfying smirk set on her face as a few eyes raised to watch her walk past. She had been here for four years and had just earned the title of senior associate, and ready for the upcoming chance to make junior partner. She was, unlike all of those other wannabees, here to stay.

"Ah, Ino. You're finally here." Her boss, Asuma, called out to her as she turned into his office, which through one way glass looked in towards the conference room. Ino cast her steel blue eyes into the room, watching as three lawyers leaned in, arguing out between each other as the pale skinned client coward at the fringes of the table and looked away. "Were you able to find anything useful?"

"You know I did." Ino retorted, playfully acting offended as Asuma grinned sheepishly. Ino was the best in their firm at finding the grey areas of what they did. She was the best in their department and she loved what she did. Ino gathered her things and with grace, stepped into the room. She made a point in subtly swaying her hips, gathering the men's attention. She was a female lawyer after all and would use it to her advantage.

"Afternoon, Danzo. I trust you haven't been harassing my client."

"Just telling him his options is all."

Ino leaned over and placed her delicate, soft hand on her client's shoulder, rubbing it to comfort him. "It's alright Sai. He doesn't even know what he's talking about."

"How rude." Danzo growled.

"Oh save it, Danzo." Ino retorted as she sat down and presented her binder for this meeting. "We are here to come to a settlement, not to be duped by the likes of you."

"Very well. You don't want to take this to court then, Yamanaka? I'm sure you could sway a jury with your reputation and...persuasiveness." Danzo grinned, lecherously gazing at her cleavage which she let stay pronounced, and for this very reason.

"Oh, I believe that I am giving you a fair shake of gratitude, Danzo."

"And how is that?"

"...20 million. That's the price for my client."

"...That's absurd."

"It's really not. If you lose in court, then it's 100 million. I really am doing you justice."

"Um, Ino?"

"Yes, Sai."

"But...couldn't I like...go to jail if you lose?"

Ino smiled and looked back at Danzo. "Now what did you tell him without his counsel present, Danzo?"

"Nothing. Just that he signed his property to me in all legality. As such-"

"Oh, I'm glad you brought up the contract." Ino spoke as she opened the binder and slid over a piece of paper to him. Danzo and his two colleagues looked at it and though they hid it well, Ino smiled like a cat who ate the canary as their eyes widened just a bit.

"That is part of section 8 of the contract, which you, of Root LLC, had Sai sign. You are correct that he did sign a ten year contract, and that all rights went to you. However, that signature was not notarized properly, and could, in theory, make the whole contract void. That would mean that every artwork that Sai has created, is his own work, and not yours."

"This won't matter in court. In front of a jury-"

"Maybe. After all, not everyone knows what a notary proves. It means that the signatures were witnessed by a state representative." Ino sighed girlishly and leaned in. "However...would you find it interesting that Sai was in Suna at the time of this signature's dating?"

Danzo and his fellow lawyers let their shoulders sag. Ino grinned triumphant. "Since you didn't take my initial offer, here is the new one. 40 million. Or you may as well leave now."

"…..Alright. We'll sign."

As the lawyers began the paperwork, Ino turned to smile at the young artist beside her. "Welcome to the millionaire's club, Sai."

"I...um...wow...you were right...boy...Ino-San, you are so beautiful."

Ino let some blush enter her cheeks and smiled over at him. "Don't you worry. It's my job to ensure that the client leaves happy."

The penthouse had coffers in the ceiling; squares jutting out from wooden beams, covered with gold and expensive material. Why hadn't he noticed it before?

Naruto opened his eyes further as he looked to the nightstands, rich wood that was made from a rare tree that he had forgotten the name of. Why was it here next to his bed and not left alone in the forest where it grew up?

Naruto sat up in bed, the light streaming in from the skylights near the top of the walls, casting an almost ethereal glow to the room, as if creating a higher standard of life.

None of this was his. Naruto's eyes were plagued with blackness, his lack of sleep apparent as tiredness swept across his features. All the clothes in the closet...maybe ten outfits were his own? All the suits and ties and trinkets were all from Hinata's vault and she encouraged him to wear them to the fancy balls and parties they were, as she said, required to attend.

As he tried to stretch out, he paused at the disturbing thought. Nothing in this penthouse was his. There was no them either. This place was Hinata's, the place she bought for the fancy of living in the center of the city, where all the biggest and badest parties and businesses were located. A private elevator down to the street and they could get to any hot spot in less than a fifteen minute walk.

Naruto had to drive an hour out of the city to his workplace, but at least it was opposite the traffic of everyone else….right? Did it even matter? He was signing over his company in less than a month and then he'd never go there again.

The bed started to move as Hinata woke up, stretching beside him. Naruto grew sad at the idea of not seeing Jaime or his employees again. Well, he could stop by when he could. He'd have lots of free time after the honeymoon, which was only a week long because Hinata had to be in Mist country a week later for more meetings.

Hinata wouldn't even be here for days and weeks at a time. Yes, he had lived alone for his adult life but...he'd had a job to do. What was he supposed to do after this? He was lost….

Hinata opened her pale eyes to a glorious morning, with a warm body emanating heat onto her back, eliciting a satisfied moan from her throat as she turned to face her fiancé. He was in deep thought again, thinking no doubt about his new life that he would share with her, a real life princess.

Oh they would have so much fun together, going to balls and major events, spending their days cuddled up beside one another. Hinata blushed a deep red as she imagined the night of their wedding, what they would do, and became giddy as she wrapped her arms around her man, pressing her large chest deeply into his arm, loving the way he squirmed so cutely still at the presence of her body against his.

"Morning." She uttered.

"Morning, Hinata. Sleep well?"

"Always when I'm next to you." Hinata's eyes shimmered as she whispered to his lips. He gave in as they shared a kiss, as beautiful as Cinderella and her prince, as birds sang and the sky no doubt shined brighter as she leaned in and bit his lip lightly.

"Ow!" Naruto cursed as he backed up, touching his lip as Hinata giggled and snuggled closer.

"Let's skip today, Naruto."

"What?" Naruto sent her a confused look. "You never skip."

'He knows me so well.' Hinata smiled over at him. Down inside her heart, a green being began to churn and propelled Hinata into hugging around his neck tighter

"I'm a rebel too, you know." Hinata announced to the room as Naruto looked ashamed and away from her. "You know...we could also practice for our honeymoon."

"Your family doesn't have sex before marriage, Hinata. I respect your father a lot."

"Oh believe me, Naruto. You've gained so much respect from him because of that. He wouldn't buy out your company if he didn't think of you as a man of integrity."

"Buy out?"

"Bringing together. Sorry. I'm a little tired."

"...I'm going to take a shower. You rest."

Hinata watched him get up and close the bathroom door and frowned. They hadn't gone further than second base still, him only groping her after their announcement of engagement. She should count herself lucky that Naruto properly treated her as an equal, more so considering his current station.

Hinata had gone to college and was peppered with invitations and proposals at the prime of her life, but she'd chosen him. Most of her family didn't even agree with this, marrying someone who didn't know their ways or feel comfortable going to parties but that was where the real meetings happened.

Miss one party, and suddenly your deal with your ally is given to your competitor. Don't arrive at the right time to an auction, good luck getting the item you desire. Many meetings of the Hyuuga were a formality and didn't matter what was spoken about. Hinata herself had her father's shares in the company currently since he was the CEO and therefore unable to be on the board, but she based her votes on what he would want her to do.

'I bet he's still fucking that little whore from his childhood.' Hinata had done her research and thought of Sakura was at least a former whore. Her background check reveled that she was such a delinquent in school and even had an abortion at 16, and while she was at a girl's boarding school at that.

True that she came from a moderately wealthy family, not well off like the Hyuuga, but with commoners yes, but Hinata was...impressed with her change in character. She knew how important law and order was to the world and from the reports she was able to get, she was on the fast track for a higher position. But still...sleeping with her fiancé...Hinata was a great woman, yes? To let her future man be with her now? It was a silly question. Of course Hinata was a great woman.

They never spoke of it. Hinata knew the difference. She wasn't an idiot. She loved Naruto a lot more than he loved her. But his morals and loyalty were enough for her. Come their wedding day, he'd take her to heaven and back and she'd have his child. Only one for now. They would hire a nanny and a tutor. She wanted a boy. Maybe a few years later a girl. But the point was that their love was mature. They knew the other's wants and desires.

Hinata smiled as Naruto finished his shower and emerged freshly shaved and still shirtless as he sat back down and began to put on his shoes. Hinata once again pressed into his back, sighing happily.

"Come back to bed. Let's practice."

"I can't, Hinata. I promised your father."

Naruto shrugged on his shirt and bag to leave.

"You know that you can do anything you'd ever want to me, right?"

Naruto's eyes widened as he turned back to her happy eyes, but his own mind was more than perturbed by that statement. "Hinata-"

"I mean it. I would make any fantasy of yours come true if you only ask. Maybe you'd...choke me?"

"H-Hinata…"

"Tie me up? Guys have those urges, don't they?"

"I...I can't talk to you about this. I have to go."

Hinata saw him leaving and finally went down to her path of last resort. "Naruto, I mean it. I'm willing to do anything to keep you. I haven't said one word this month of you fucking your ex."

Naruto stopped in his tracks at that. Hinata knew that perhaps he did those more wild things with her than with Hinata. Tie her up and choke her? Hinata would never allow him to do that to her! But...to hint that maybe she would...that built allure and mystery, right?

He felt bad, they never told the other and yet she knew everything and Hinata pressed closer, exploiting his sense of chivalry like any good man would have.

"Once we're married, it's over, right?"

"Of course." He nodded. "That's what we agreed on."

Hinata sighed. If Naruto did want those things, well she couldn't go to parties or have such scandals in the papers or online with bruises or hickies like that. Maybe that girl could be useful. Maybe Naruto could be forever grateful to her.

"...What if I continued to allow it to continue?"

She could hear Naruto gulp at the offer and look over at her. Hinata's entire body straightened and she felt all powerful for the first time since she'd convinced him to marry her. She had let her fiance taste the forbidden fruit of his past, and now when she was offering to let him keep going, she was like a master holding a treat.

Hinata blushed as she pet the soft sheets of the bed, the idea making her blush. "Maybe she could join us for a time. Would that get you in bed?"

This woman Sakura had more experience than her, but if Naruto was physically sated, maybe his soul was hers to keep. She could deal with that. After all, they would be married, and she knew many of her friends and in her society had extramarital agreements.

She watched as Naruto shrugged off the offer painfully, his voice being crushed through willpower alone, but it was in the air now. It was an option that further cemented her as the one to choose. His voice was raspy and choked as he replied. "I need to go to work, and so do you."

So...Agreements have been made
