-3rd person-

The next day, Team LEMO woke up in the morning then got dressed in their combat gear and went to breakfast, where they sat with Team RWBY and Team JNPR.

the three teams smiled at each other then began to eat.

-Lapis-

"So, what are these team attacks you guys came up with?" Ruby asks me.

"We have four total so far. Catfish, Flying Wolf, Wildlife, and Winged Shark. You guys and the other three teams will see what they'll be during training." I reply.

"Sounds grand." Pyrrha says.

I smile then see Onyx shift positions a bit in her seat and arch a brow. "You okay, Onyx?" I ask.

"Yeah. Just trying to adjust to everyone's excitement about the Festival." She says. "Don't get me wrong. I'm excited too. It's still a lot to deal with."

"What's it like?" Pyrrha asks. "Feeling the emotions of others?"

"It has its downsides when it comes to the negative emotions, but the upside involves the positive emotions, which is what I can sense in people right now because of the Festival."

"What about the rest of your abilities?" Jaune asked.

"...Communicating with the Grimm is a little freaky. They rarely have any thoughts outside of destruction. The transformations are probably the worst part of me being...me. My bones break and reshape themselves and it hurts...so much. When I transform back to normal, it leaves me exhausted to the point where I sleep a whole day away. And there you have, a brief explanation on a freak like me."

Lapis looked at her. "You are not a freak, Onyx. Just because you're half Grimm doesn't mean you're a freak, an outcast, or anything like that. It just makes you unique. And it doesn't make any of us think any less of you."

The other teams nod then we move on to different topics, with Blake and I translating what some of their friends said to Magenta.

-3rd person-

Afterwards, Team LEMO went to history class. They saw the interpreter Ozpin had hired standing next to Dr. Bartholomew Oobleck. Pyrrha, Blake, and Jaune arrived shortly and the seven say with each other. Class began shortly after all students were seated. Magenta looked at the interpreter as she translated what Oobleck was saying.

Onyx was having a harder time concentrating because Cardin Winchester was throwing small balls of paper at her and her Grimm instincts were urging her to kill him. Fighting them was proving a bit more difficult than she had thought then she stood up and glared at him. "Would you knock that off?!" She snapped and everyone turned to her.

"Miss Black, is something wrong?" Dr. Oobleck asked.

"This douche bag keeps throwing paper at me!"

Carson put on a smirk. "I don't know what she's talking about, Doc. I think the lack of sea water is causing to hallucin-" He started until a boot made contact with his cheek.

All eyes turned to the kicker, as Lapis glared at him. "That's MY teammate you're being racist towards, bird boy." She said as he stood up then pulled out his mace while glaring at her. She drew her sword without hesitation. "Bring it!"

"That's enough, both of you!" Oobleck said, but the two ignored each other and he swung at her, but she blocked his sword then jabbed him in the throat with her free hand, causing him to cough and gasp for air. "I SAID THAT'S ENOUGH!" Oobleck shouted and the two looked at him to see he wasn't happy. "Ozpin's office! Both of you! Now!"

The two glared at each other and left the classroom.

Ozpin say at his desk, arguing with General Ironwood in the office as the two arrived and a chime was heard.

"Come in." Ozpin said then sighed when he saw Lapis and Cardin walk in.

"I can step out if you need me to, Oz." Ironwood said.

"No, it's okay, General. This shouldn't take long." Ozpin said before his tone darkened a little when he turned his attention to Cardin and Lapis. "What happened?"

"I was just minding my own business in class when the little fish suddenly turned to me and shouted at me for no reason." Cardin said.

"BULLSHIT!" Lapis snapped and all eyes turned to her, but only Cardin was glaring at her. "He was throwing small balls of paper at Onyx until she snapped at him. He disrespected her then he and I went at each other for a second then Oobleck sent us here."

Ozpin sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Is this true, Cardin?"

"Of course, it isn't!" Cardin lied and Lapis drew her sword and growled at him.

"Lie like that again and see if I don't run your Aura down entirely!" She said.

He pulled his mace out. "Try it!" He dared and she swung hard at his mace. He finally had enough and the two fought, swinging their weapons at each other to stop the other's attack until Ozpin stood up.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" He yelled and the two stopped fighting and turned to him to see him glaring at them. "Cardin, you will receive four days' detention for your actions today. Bullying and racism will not be tolerated at my school. Lapis, you are a recent addition to my school, so this is the only time you will be shown leniency. If this happens again, I will take action."

Under her helmet, Lapis' ears folded down and she nodded.

"Now, both of you, get back to class." Ozpin said and the two left.

Ironwood chuckled. "She's a lot like her mother."

"Yes, and that has me worried a bit." Ozpin said.

-Lapis-

I don't say a word the whole way back to class. Once in the classroom, I sit beside my sister and stay quiet for the rest of the class.
