Halloween in Zahramay Falls, Part 1:
NOTE: This story is a collaboration with a friend.
It was October 31, 2022, Halloween night in Zahramay Falls. Shimmer and Shine (in orange pumpkin costumes, along with Tala, Nahal, and Parisa) were at their palace, waiting for their friends to come over so they would go trick or treating together...
Shimmer: Oh, my, genie! This is going to be great!
Shine: We're gonna get a lot of free candy!
Shimmer: Yes, but we're also going to celebrate Halloween with our friends in Zahramay Falls!
Shine: Oh, yeah, thanks for that reminder, sis.
Shimmer: Do you think I'm wearing enough glitter? (shows Shine her glittered hair ribbons)
Shine: (chuckles) I think that's more than enough, glitter, Shine.
The doorbell rang, and then Shimmer went to see who it was. Their friends arrived at their palace...
Shimmer: Oh, hello there, everyone, come on in!
Leah, Zac, and Kaz were wearing blue pumpkin costumes, (with Zain flying them there) Zeta, Marlin, (holding Morain) and Nazboo were wearing white pumpkin costumes, and finally, Calady, William, and Mary were wearing orange and black pumpkin costumes. They all entered the palace to greet their genie friends...
Shine: Are we ready to go trick-or-treating?!
Shimmer: And then, after that, we can go to the Halloween party!
Shine: It's in an actual haunted house in the woods!
This worried Kaz and Marlin. Leah then spoke up...
Leah: Well... there's an Abandoned house in Zahramay Falls that Zac wants to see first.
Shimmer: (confused) What abandoned house, Zac.
Zac: From what I've heard, it's the one on the edge of Zahramay Falls.
The genies and sorcerenie thought for a bit, and Zeta remembered what Zac was talking about...
Zeta: Zac, that house has been empty for years! That's the scariest place here, especially on Halloween! It's not a good idea to go in there!
Kaz: Zeta may have a point.
Marlin: I'm with you, dear. No way I'm going there!
Zac: But guys, think about it. It's Halloween, and going into a scary house does happen a lot. We'll just go inside for a little bit, then get out.
Everyone thought about it. Leah replied to Shimmer and Shine, 'It is okay to go inside?'
Shine: We don't know. We've never talked to Princess Samira about that place.
But eventually, they decided...
Leah: Okay, let's just check it out, and see how it looks.
Everyone (including Kaz and Marlin) agreed. Everyone flew on magic carpets to the edge of Zahramay Falls, to the abandoned house.
Mary: Well, that place looks empty.
Marlin: Okay, so we can leave?
Shimmer: We can't leave just yet, Marlin. We have to go inside the house.
They landed on the ground just across from the house...
Shine: Alright, then, Marlin, you and Morain wait out there for us.
Calady: I'd like Mary to stay with them, too.
Mary: What? But, Mom...
Calady: This place could be dangerous. I don't want you to get hurt.
Mary: (sighs) Okay, I'll wait out here.
Calady: (smiles) That's my girl.
Zeta: Nazboo will help keep you all safe while we're in the house.
Kaz: (nervously) Would you like me to stay out here, too?
Shimmer: Kaz, we need you with us. You're got genie magic that could help us.
Zac: Don't worry, we;'ll be right beside you.
Leah: And we could wish for all of us to get out of there if it's too scary to go any further.
Kaz: Well... okay.
Marlin, Morain, and Nazboo, Parisa, Zain, and the genie's pets stayed outside, while the others went inside the abandoned house. As they went inside, the smell of the house had made them all sick to their stomach. Luckily, Shine thought to poof up a lot of face masks for everyone. After they put then on, they started to check out the house...
William: Okay, how bad is it inside?!
Kaz: I don't think I want to know!
While walking through, they came across a pile of bones under an old torn-up tarp. They passed an old unfinished gravestone, too. And the place was getting even darker...
Leah: (scared) Okay, let's get out of here!
Before she could wish to get out, Leah accidentally bumped into a box, which make a thump sound. At that moment, a bunch of bats flew out and scared the kids...
Zeta: Run!
Everyone ran as fast as they could to get out of the house. However, as he ran from the bats, zac had tripped on a step and broke his leg, to which Zeta had to help carry him up, and assist him as they got out of the house.
Shimmer and Shine looked at Zac's right lower thigh.
Shimmer: Well, Zac, it looks like you broke your leg.
Zac: Wow, that Doesn't happen a lot.
Leah: Can you fix it with wish magic?
Shine: (sadly) I'm sorry, Leah, the best we can do is give him a healing potion. Zac will have to go to the Zahramay Falls Hospital for proper treatment.
Mary got out a jacket, and wrapped it around his broken leg. The sorcerenie carefully put Zac on top of Zain, who would fly him to the hospital, with Kaz coming along for support.
William: We'll have to get some extra candy for Zac when we go trick-or-treating.
Everyone agreed. The whole team went to many different places with their pumpkin costumes, and said 'Trick-or-treat!' where they each got lollipops, licorice sticks, and a whole lot of chocolate candy. However, at one place Leah apparently accidentally received a special Zahramay Falls golden paper. (That's worth $100 in genie money) Everyone didn't know what to do...
Leah: Should we keep that paper, or return it because that genie didn't know he gave that to us by mistake?
Zeta: In my past, I would have just kept that paper and get more potions.
Shimmer: That's what You what have done back then, Zeta. But the right thing for us to do is give the paper back.
Shine: Yes, that's the right thing to do.
They chose to return it. They went to the last place they went at and asked the genie who lives there about the golden paper.
Leah: Did you know if you gave us a golden paper. (shows the genie the paper)
Male Genie: I didn't know I gave you that. (takes the paper) Thank you guys for returning it.
After they finished trick-or-treating, on their way to the party, they saw an old cemetery...
Leah: Whoa, is that a cemetery.
Mary: It is.
Shine: Zac would think it would be fun to visit the old, creepy, cemetery.
Marlin: (nervously) Well, since Zac's still at the hospital, we can just go past it, right?
Shimmer: Actually, we have some time before the party. We can check it out.
Marlin: Okay, could I watch Morain out there while you all check out the cemetery? I just don't feel like going through another scary place.
Zeta rolled her eyes, and said, 'Okay, Marlin. You can wait for us out here this time.' She then carefully handed Morain to him.
Mary: Could I go into the cemetery with you this time, Mom?
Calady thought about it, and sighed... 'Okay, but stay close to me and your father, Mary.'
Marlin, (with Morain) Nazboo, Parisa, Tala, and Nahal waited while everyone else walked into the cemetery. They walked together, slowly, and saw the many gravestones there. One stone said, 'Here lies Shine...'
Shine: (surprised and afraid) Oh, no! That gravestone has my name on it!'
At that moment, a huge tractor, out of nowhere, pulled up to dig up the grave, and everyone ran out of the cemetery! As they got back out, they saw Marlin (with Morain) and their pets...
Zeta: Marlin, that cemetery is scary!
Shine: Yeah. A gravestone there had my name on it!
Mary: And a huge tractor just came in to dig it up!
Marlin: Okay, can we get to the party now?!
Everyone said, 'Yes!', and they ran off to the woods. Marlin was not happy...
Marlin: Uhhh... we have to get the woods to get to the Halloween party, right?
Shine: (nods) Yes, the Halloween party is at a haunted house here.
Marlin: Oh, no...
The humans and magical humanoids now had to get past the woods...
