It was the beginning of spring, the sun was shining, the sky was looking beautiful, the birds are singing.
Today was a lovely and normal day.
Within a weapon shop.
Rana had his head down on a front counter, with his arms crossed above his chin looking directly at the open door.
He was bored with nothing to do and there were no customers coming this hour. His mother and his father are not at their shop because they have to go into town to buy some forge materials and a new set of tools they won't be back for hours.
Rana barley sighs. 'I wish there was something to do besides doing absolutely nothing.' He brought over his left hand with the black ring of power on his finger. 'Father gave me this ring as a gift. He said he found it at a temple in the center of the earth. I wonder, what does it do?'
Suddenly he heard a slight knock tapping on the counter. He looks up from the ring to see a little girl not human but a dwarf with sandy blonde hair.
She wears a puffy white dress; the front end of her dress opens up below her waist, exposing her white and blue panties. She wears gauntlets and armoured thigh highs. Her hair band is now adorned with flowers, and her battle axe is white and is also adorned with flowers.
Rana's mother business rival, Ymir.
"Hello Rana." Ymir greeted him.
"Ymir." Rana greeted her back.
"I was planning to pay a visit to your mother here. It was unlikely to see you. I said that because you look so bored and the way you're here alone it seems your mother isn't here, right?" Ymir questioned.
"Yeah." Rana admittedly said. "You're not wrong about that, there ain't any customers coming in here lately. So what are you doing here?"
"That's a simple one but a favor from you?"
"What is it?" He gave her the go-ahead.
Ymir placed her weapon at a wall letting it lead against it, she brought her face close to his as she sprained her request on him. "Would you have sex with me?"
This caused the boy to widen his eyes. "Wha-" He was cut off when the dwarf pushed her head forward to kiss on his lips.
Rana felt her tongue enter onto his mouth and fought against his in a battle that he is losing. He pulled away but Ymir prevented him. She grabbed both of his shoulders making him stay like this.
While kissing Ymir spit something down his throat which made him swallow it. Rana finally was able to push her back, getting his tongue out of her mouth as a rope of saliva was between their bottom lips.
"What was that I-" Rana hissed in pain, almost fell to the floor when he felt a powerful sting coming down on his crotch next, there was tightness inside his purple dress.
Shortly after the pain subsided. He looked down and saw his cock that used to be small has now grown big sticking out in his dress.
"What.. have… you… done… to…me?"
Ymir giggled. "I made it big for you." She went over to the counter to get close to him. "If you want me to make you feel better." She lifted up his dress out of the way, his big dick elephant flopped out, she whipped her metal fingers around his cock. "You're gonna have to have sex with me if not." She stroked it hard and soft, causing him to yelp. "I'll bring you outside suck this big boy here while everyone watches before they're eyes. Would you like that if I humiliated you?"
"No…" Rana said in a weak voice while her big armored hand was stroking his manhood real hard, squeezing it.
"Then let's have our fun." Ymir decided. "Here and now." She let go of his massive dick. "First." The Iron Princess knees down to the floor. "Let me make it straight." Ymir kisses the head before using her wet tongue over the shaft, giving the tip a short lick.
Without a warning, she took his whole cock into her mouth, wasting no time to suck on it hard. Hands were on the sides of his hips as she bobbed her head up and down.
Rana's eyes were closed. He shouted a moan but he immediately covered his mouth with a hand.
Ymir eventually released his dick out of her mouth with a pop sound. She sees her work on it, his rad was covered with her own saliva.
"This should do." Ymir lies her back down on the floor. "Here." She opened her legs wide. "Put your hot manly seed inside me." She moves aside the middle center of her white panties to the side of her legs, showing her wet pussy to him. "Don't hold back on me." She used her left gloved fingers to spread her pussy lips wide up.
Rana wanted to say no but his body needed this as if it had a will of its own. 'I'm sorry, Airi.' Dropping to her knees, placing hands on either side of the dwarf's body pushed against her spread lips with an inexorable force, he shoved himself all the way through her as his cock scraped against her tight walls.
Ymir let out a big moan and her eyes rolled half-way into her head. "So suddenly!"
"Oh god!" Never knew this felt so amazing. Rana paralyzed from her tight pussy squeezing his dick to death, he felt a warm blood on his shaft, dripping out down onto the floor.
He had never known she was a virgin.
Without thinking straight. Rana pulled out and slammed himself back into Ymir. He begins thrusting her sliding in and out of her cunt with ease.
Moans of pleasurable escaped her mouth. It felt so good to her to enjoy yet painful when her hymen was broken. "Your cock feels so good in my pussy." She wrapped her legs around his waist, arms wrapped around his neck while his hips were moving against hers. "Keep going… remember don't hold back."
"Ymir!" Leaning in, Rana invaded Ymir's mouth with a kiss, playing with her tongue in a fight again. He began pushing his cock further into her pussy, slamming into her g-spot repeatedly as he neared his orgasm.
Thrusting a few more times before the last one. Rana's limit he cum inside of her filling up her child room with his hot salty milk.
Separating from the kiss. He brought down his head to her shoulder near the neck taking many deep breaths as he was exhausted.
"That… was… beautiful." Ymir breathed hard repeatedly as she smiled. "Was that your first time?" She licks him across his ear causing him to send shivers down his spine.
"It used to be." Rana whimpered. "But it's gone."
"Seems we're no longer virgins anymore. Let's do more."
Rana looks at her in shock. 'Huh?'
Groaning, open his eyes as he wakes up.
Rana realizing it was only a dream he had but it wasn't an ordinary dream it was a flashback, a memory fragment of his that happened sometime ago before the death of his parents before his home was destroyed. He looks to his right, seeing Nowa was sleeping peacefully next to him, naked holding one of his arms.
With his free hand, Rana used to feed his arm out of her. "That was some interesting fun we had." He tumbled out of the bed. "Thanks for the good nap."
"Rana." Got a little scared he turned over and saw only his wraith friend come through the door without any means of opening it.
"Nice to see you as a wake and less naked." He referred to his socks l before looking up to him. "Not going to ask why so I'm skipping straight to the point. I need you to get dress we're heading outside and by outside I mean the Overworld."
"Why are we going up to the Overworld, for?" Rana questioned.
"You said you wanted to take down the Golden Hand from stealing the lives of your parents away from you, yes? I want to help you to succeed on your mission." The Fourth Overlord explained. "If what I told you there is a way that we can collapse them to dust such as destroying their operations, their schemes, their organization from the inside out and themselves."
Rana look in Interested. "I am listening."
The Son of Infernal God began. "In order for us to bring down an organization like the Golden Hand. We need to eliminate the people at the bottom and work our way up. To put it simply, we can't eliminate their leader, Deus. As I said before some time ago, if we kill him it doesn't take us anywhere. His second in command would take his place and we'd be right back where we started. So here's what I suggest: first, we go after his Captains once they're killed, we conquer their territories and we move on to his Lieutenant Colonels. Lastly, his right hand man once they all are killed, Deus will be isolated and alone. And that's when we go after him."
The plan sounded foolproof, understandable, and can work without anything going wrong. "Hmmm, is standable but it's not going to be so easy to do."
"It never is." The Spirit Overlord muttered in agreement. "It takes time to process."
"I didn't mind getting blood on my hands." Rana remarked. "But how are we even supposed to know what his Captains and Lieutenant Colonels look like?"
"That is a simple explanation, thanks to our ability to look into the minds of all races beings such as the two elves we did. We should be able to use this to interrogate the members of the Golden Hand. We could start with their lower ranks within their group and one of them has got the information for which we seek within that mind of theirs or perhaps one of their Captains should be able to run into one."
"Sounds fair to try it out again."
"True." The overlord continued, "But not to mention this information must remain secluded in Netherdeep from our enemies without raising suspicion, so be cautious not to say it out there."
Rana realized what he meant, "I will keep this information to myself away from ears. You mention conquering territories? And by conquest I mean you want us to take over them. I am not interested in this."
"Rana, that is a poor excuse to say that. Just saying that conquest is not your thing, staying with us in the Netherdeep gets you involved with it."
"The Warrior's code says-" Rana tries to say but the Overlord interrupted.
"Weak excuse, Rana. Ever since the criminal organization the ones that harm you. They have gone with power. They take control over all villages and towns underneath their thumbs and most parts of the cities, they are terrorizing people demanding them to pay their lives with money or die. No one and I mean no one can touch them, not even the queen's army can't." The Fourth Overlord pauses for a moment before he continues. "I'm not asking you to do this for me. I'm asking you to do this for yourself and your family."
"But it's not right to take over something that belongs to the people in those lands." Rana argued. "It may be right or wrong but I can't choose between the other."
"I get what you're saying, Rana." He paced past by him, placing ghostly his hand on his shoulder. "And I understand now… are you saying is it all right to let the Golden Hand murder the poor innocent of people?"
Rana was in shock to hear this from him. "What? No I-"
"Is it alright to let them kill children in the act of butchery?"
"But-" He tried to speak but his friend didn't stop.
"Is it alright to not take over for what they owe in order to prevent them from endangering more people while they kill them in the process?"
"That's not what I-"
"Is it all right to let them commit several acts of genocide to let families suffer from their actions?"
"I-"
"Is it all right for them to steal, pillage and burn down houses wherever they want across?"
Rana could only stare at him, wide-eyed and speechless. He was completely defeated by him.
"We live in a cruel world. It is not black and white it is gray and you should know that." He removed his hand. "Rana, think about it. If we can take back the towns and villages from the Golden Hand across the lands. The people will forever be in our debt. They may welcome you as a hero, ain't that your parents wanted you to be an honorable warrior?"
Rana was silent before nodding as he took many moments to think about it. "Fourth Overlord, you are absolutely right." His wraith friend smiles in victory underneath his handkerchief. "I don't like it but all right however if we're going to take over certain areas that the Golden Hand has. We can conquer abandoned areas that they don't have such as deserted forts or outposts that could use these to give us some minion power."
"These can help us to max out our strength." It was an agreeable idea. "All right, let's take these."
"By the way what happened to those territories we got from Deus' men?" Rana questioned.
The Overlord started to explain. "Once it's in our hands we let our minions take care of the rest. We get a territory and they'll hold it to keep those bastards from reclaiming them. Also we require more people by our side such as contestants who entered her royal highness' tournament even if they were forced to."
Already the Son of the Dragon Slayer was thinking, realizing what he was suggesting. "You want me to dominate the female warriors who have entered the Queen's Blade tournament?"
"Yes." He nodded. "We only have two of them here but we require more of them except for some you may know, even cross pass with them before. The Exiled Warrior, Leida Vance and Infernal Temptress, Airi. We can dominate the others while those two can be left alone but for that to happen we must locate and find them, so we can dominate them to their will."
It feels like he's telling him to do a necessary evil. "You're asking me… to dominate the woman who participated in the Queen's Blade tournament. So they'll be willing to fight on our side?"
"Yes I am within this late moment you will have, Deus within your grasp." He assured him.
Rana brought up his hand and made it tight as he turned it into a fist feeling his blood boil. He hated the idea of dominating women like he did before with these elves. He knows this is going to be an injustice crime, he is going to commit, but at the same time, it is a necessary one by choice. He hoped his parents could forgive him for what he is going to do. May change the world to consequences.
"When do we begin?" The boy merely looks at his friend, The Son of the Third knows that his decision has been made.
"Now." He answered, surprising him.
"Now?"
"Yes, and for your God's sake put your clothes and armor back on." He disappeared after that being said.
This gives him enough time to dress up. You found his underwear on the floor and placed it back on.
He then grabs up and puts on his purple ninja uniform and into his armor. Strapping his short sword onto his back, dagger at the hip. Bringing the Medallions of Void and Chaos with him. Lastly, placing on the gauntlet, he'd leave the room.
He marches towards the Netherporter which is not so far from where his room is, once here the Fourth Overlord has appeared again.
"Are you ready?" The Wraith Overlord asked.
"Since the moment I wake up from my nap after I have my 'smooth fun' with Nowa, yes." Rana replied. "One more thing, how much time has passed? When I was asleep, after me and her 'played around' for a bit."
"An hour and forty minutes." He answered. "Not to mention you two almost caused a little yelling and moaning while making love with each other."
Rana froze in place as his cheeks blushed embarrassingly. "Well…uh.." he cleared his throat with a fake cough. "Okay, enough small talk for now on. Let's just go up there to the Overworld shall we?"
At a large hilltop behind a great big forest. The Nether Portal had opened up, appearing itself.
Rana allowed himself to step out of the portal to get outside standing on top of the cliffside to oversee an area before the portal closed behind him.
"So where do we start looking for the Golden Hand?" Rana questioned as his spirit friend appeared beside him.
He shrugged. "They could be anywhere besides here; they simply don't do land patrols; they are not so easy to be found. I suggest we should go to a town and ask people about their whereabouts."
"All right, we can go with that. But let's not ask them too many questions." He told his companion which he still doesn't trust yet. "We don't want to pick our nose where it doesn't belong and-" Suddenly his ears put up a soft noise followed by a twig getting broken in two and a heavy footstep. "Somethings wrong." He quickly drew out his sword and swirled around as his friend did the same.
Then he saw something very pointy and sharp going fast and it was heading towards his way. He strikes it out of the air with one swing. It landed down above his feet, it was an arrow.
There were yells as figures changed at him from the trees. These men he sees before him all look like ninjas but they're actually bandits; they wear green silks and armor carrying katanas.
"They're Raiders." Rana identifies, noticing all of their armor has a gold handprint as a symbol of who they're with. "And they work for the Golden Hand." Before another arrow flew right at him, yet he managed to reflect it before it could hit him.
As the Raiders rushed in. There were at least five of them including an archer hanging back. The leader of the group was a white hair monk man with a burn mark along his right side face, wielding a cross and a nice sword.
"Kill the boy! He has the devil inside him!" The Monk ordered while the rest of his Raiders went in.
"Terrible monk, well, that's what people get from praising their God so much." The Fourth Overlord commented before disappearing.
Quickly two Raiders faced off against the former blacksmith assistant, swinging their weapons at him. He parries one, leading it aside while twisting to dodge the other Raider's attack.
Rana cuts across Raider's back, as his spine can be severed with one blow. The other one lunged in to attack directly at him. Rana steps back and blocks up the attack. He quickly kicked The Raider's kneecap, knocking him down as he was thrown onto his back. Rana spun his blade before stabbing it downwards right into the man's heart before he withdrew his blade.
He flick blood off his sword across the ground.
He saw two more of them heading towards his way. Rana charges at them. He killed one with a clean stab through the side, pulling his sword out before he broke a high strike from another Raider. He shifts and twists their locked weapons, disarming his weapon out of his hand in one smooth motion before slashing upward across his guts.
Pushing the corpse out of the way. One of the Raiders who was an archer shoot another arrow at him
As the third arrow flew right at him, Rana struck it out of the air, this time he sliced it in half.
"That's getting annoying." Stabbing his sword aside, letting it stay still on the cliffside of the ground. He was about to use one of his silver knives the forge master made for him.
"No, save your knives." With a wave of the wraith child's hand holding a special bow appeared into Rana's left hand. "Use this."
He did, nocking a ghostly arrow onto the bow's string he quickly aimed as time itself slowed down.
Rana knows this is part of his wraith friend's ability to slow down time when using it. He has before during his fight with Alleyne. So he decided to use this to his advantage.
Pulling back the string he let the arrow loose, firing it, stirling right into the Archer Raider's head. Rana quickly reloads to fire another ghostly arrow to another Raider who was charging at him before he sees drop dead.
With the Raiders dealt with. All that was left was their leader, the monk himself. Rana eyed him and noticed the monk had a widened look in his eyes.
"Give it up, old man." The bow disappeared out of his hands. "It's over." He drew out his sword once more.
"Perhaps… I misjudged you for a heathen." The Monk spoke in a deep and raspy voice. "You possess the devil spirit's within you boy. Yet you are different."
"You have two choices: leave and enjoy your freedom or fight me and I'll gladly feed your corpse to the crows while you choke on your own blood." Rana coldly threatened the monk.
"I do not run, child nor hide like a rodent." He grasps both his sword and cross in his hands. "For I, Malaquias will take your life for the Golden Hand."
"Well in that case." He spun his blade in his grip, narrowed down at the corrupt monk. "Why don't you come here and take it?"
"Gladly." The Monk slowly steps closer.
"Rana, do not kill him, we might need some information out of him." The Demon lord of Norberg told him echoing inside his head.
'I'll try but he's not going to surrender it that easily without a fight." Rana told back not looking away from the sword wielding monk.
The Monk moves in, sword raised to his side to attack.
Both him and the boy move at each other, the Monk left himself open with his change. Rana cut across the man's leg while avoiding Malaquias' overhead swing. Malaquias slumped forward to the ground. Rana slowly walks up to him, seeing him trying to crawl away.
"Stay back, peasant!" The Monk rolls himself around his back and aims his cross at him.
Rana chuckled. "Please, you think that cross can-oh crud!" He quickly ducks when a light beam of pure energy gets shot out from the cross.
His companion spoke to him in his mind. "That was no ordinary cross unlike any I've ever seen before Rana." The human boy picks himself up. "But whatever the case I can feel it's holy energy that can burn right through us if we ever get touched by it, stay out of sight and away from its beam."
"It may be powered with holy energy." Rana pulls out the light medallion the minion master gave to him. "But two can play that game." Activating it his body was covered by its blue aura like a shield.
The Monk fired his cross' power at him again with another holy beam but when it touches him it shatters apart like a glass. "What?!" He did it again but it was the same result that happened before. "How is this possible? There's no way a peon like you couldn't survive this!"
"My turn." Rana charges forward. He swung his short sword downwards at Malaquias' right hand that was holding the cross, gush of blood came out as Rana sliced the Monk's hand off with a clean cut.
"Aghhh!" He howled in pain seeing his whole hand was gone.
Rana leaps on top of him, deactivating the void medallion's power, bends down before his left hand is placed on his foe's face.
Beginning to interrogate him, the Fourth Overlord takes over and begins to question him. "We are looking for one of the Captains of the Golden Hand, do you know of the name, where he or she might be located?"
"I met the Captain whose name is Gron. He is a slaver and… a former bounty hunter." Malaquias revealed painfully showing a little effort of resisting. "He… is at a nearest campsite at east south not far from here ready to sell slaves to… work in secret for us."
"Thank you." They got the information they were seeking for. "One last thing, are you one of the Captains?"
"Yes…why?"
"Oh nothing, I just want my friend to do this." Letting go of him, Rana took back control. He stabs his sword downwards into the man's neck, killing him without pity.
Pulling his sword out as he wipes the blood off of it. "That's one captain down now for the other we should head to this camp."
"It's possibly miles away from where we are. It could take us hours to get there." Rana gets off of body..
"Then we need a mount." The Overlord decided while his human vessel friend went over to the monk's cut off hand still the cross. "I doubt a horse could help us, you are not old enough to ride one yet."
"What about a wolf?" Rana remarked before picking up the hand. "Can we ride on one?" He took the cross out of the fingers before tossing the hand side. "Maybe it can take us where we need to go."
The Fourth Overlord hummed for a moment of thinking. Indeed his vessel has a good point. Instead of a horse they could ride a wolf if their minions could do it then so can they. "Fair point. We could use that to help us travel and you know before my defeat the brown minions like the wolves. In fact, they know how to ride them like horses but not just them."
"Who else besides them?" Rana got a closer look at the cross. unlike any other crosses he has seen in churches. This one could be an ancient relic from time yet it has no magical runes only that it has three blue stones and it seems this holy object relic it's made out of silver. The monk handles it well as its master but not anymore.
The Overlord begins to list out. "The reds like to ride on salamanders, the greens for the spiders, the blues? Er… I don't think they have mounts yet."
"Will find some suitable mounts for them." Rana promised. "But that must wait for now."
"Fine by me." The Fourth appeared next to him. "Another thing the moment you use that light medallion it wants me to do… nice things but I overcome and resist it. May I ask you not to use it always but often you know sometimes for emergencies only."
"Alright but what about the chaos medallion?" Rana pointed out.
"That you can use it fills up my anger makes me want to kill something and deliver an extra explosion."
"Okay?" Rana gets confused with him.
"Aside from that, can I see the cross?" Rana holds it out to him. "Yep this relic is unlike any I've ever seen before."
"You don't know it?" He questioned calmly.
"No nor its history origin." The Wraith Overlord answered with his voice low. "But whoever it recently belongs to it's now ours in our possession."
"For now at least." He puts the cross in his belt holster hip.
"There you are." Their advisor contacted them. "I thought we lost you. Sires, may I ask why have you left Netherdeep outside to the Overworld and surrounded with the corpses of humans, impressive clean kills by the way."
"Later." The Fourth Overlord spoke. "Right now we are requesting a wolf spawning pit by our location."
"What?" His voice raises a surprise tone. "Sire may I need to remind you that only-"
"Are you questioning my orders?!" The Fourth Overlord interrupts, shocking him to silence.
"No! Ah…forgive me, Master. It will be done."
"Take your time, Gnarl. Fourth Overlord, go easy on him." Rana told his partner who shuffled.
"No promises for now on."
Shortly awhile a wolf gate came to the surface, appearing to be made of jagged stone from the earth. Brownish flames suddenly roared to life from within the gate.
"It's here." Rana walked up to it. "What should I do?"
"To bring forth wolves you must call upon them. Just simply raise up your left hand and see what happens." The Overlord replied.
"Alright." He raised his gauntlet towards the sky, the first wolf came out of the gate before landing on its feet.
The wolf that came out of its spawning pit had white fur, it's always red, a large scar on its left eye and it has a saddle on its back.
"Rana, this is Winter." The Overlord allowed himself to introduce the wolf's name to him. "Winter, this is Rana though I doubt he can see or hear me."
"Should I be worried about him?" Rana asked, looking at the white wolf as the white wolf looked right back at him.
"He should be friendly. If not, we're gonna have to dominate him so he can respect his masters." The Son of the Third Overlord disappeared.
Rana nodded in understanding. He slowly approaches the wolf. "Are you friendly?"
"Bark!"
"I'll take that as a yes." Rana was relieved that the wolf didn't go feral on him, kind of surprised he could understand him. "Do you mind if I ride on you?"
The wolf nodded and lowered himself down close to the ground allowing the boy to mount up on top of him.
Lifting up, Winter carries his new rider off the cliffside.
Once the boy and his furry and ghostly companions began to travel to the east south the road ahead of them was quiet on most days but they must stay vigilant for any surprises.
During their travels to the location of the campsite. Rana hunts down and kills a deer. requiring food for him or his furry predator friend, he wanted to test his spirit partner's abilities before moving on.
They encountered a small group of females called the Assassins of the Fang. Spies for the Queen of Gainos. Rana didn't want to kill a female; he made a vow to never kill a female. So instead of killing them he had them dominate with the help of his ghostly friend. It's not like he didn't want to but he had no choice. He told them to continue what they were doing and told them to pretend they never saw him so they wouldn't report to their queen which they're not going to because they're loyal now to him instead of her.
The Fourth Overlord spent a few minutes sharing his master plan to rid the crime organization that attacked his host's family to the minion master, telling it exactly as he did. He gives him the extra details.
It was a brilliant idea, Gnarl liked it. Better than his own cunning plans, he has once told them to the previous Overlords in the past. In fact he wanted to make the same plan too bad his lord beat him right to it.
It may be insane but it could work but can they handle it?
Coming up on top of the hill to overlook the new area, after a few long minutes of traveling they finally made it to Golden Hand camp, which is small, less large and holds people in cages.
Rana slipped off his wolf mount and told him to stay for a moment while he was gone before he gave him a piece of deer meat to eat.
As he entered the camp after killing the three guards guarding the entrance with his friend's bow. He began to look around for the second captain however he realized this may take a while once they found him.
"Why use your human sight to find our target? I see more than anyone." The Fourth Overlord spoke, echoing his human vessel's head.
His vision turned to the wraith world. He saw his second target highlighted red zooming on to get closer as time was slowed down.
The Captain has a helmet on, a scar across his nose, skin pure white dressed in gold armor and has a black little beard on his chin.
Once his target has been confirmed, Rana's eyesight switches back to normal.
"There he is, but he's not alone."
"I know." Rana eyed seeing more guards guarding the camp as he hid behind a wooden wall peeking over a hole. "We should take care of him before we move on to the target." He was about to go in stealthily until the elder minion stopped him.
"Wait Master, before you may do some killings." Gates of the brown and green minion came up to the surface, appearing next to him. "Summon some minions out of these minion gates. They'll gladly help you out and you might need them, call it insurance if things go south."
"Fair point, we can't do this alone unless necessary." He looked at both gates. He raises his left hand up to the air and summons some browns out and a few greens minions.
Some of the minions perform a backflip others of them rush out their gates. After the nine browns and eight greens total seventeen minions exited their gateways, they swiftly gathered around their Rana and Ghostly Overlord who just appeared.
"Masters!" The browns and greens cheered, bowing before their lords.
"Look at these evil faces." The Fourth Overlord said with pride. "They are ready to create blood and destruction, looting to give to us."
"True but they must be careful not to underestimate the Golden Hand if they know what's coming for them." Rana said, leaving out a warning before getting back to the task at hand. "Alright, enough lollygagging." The minions rise, which they did without hesitation. "Which one of you is the green minion leader?"
"Me Massster." The green minion leader brings himself forward to him.
"I need you and your squadron to take out these archers." He points to members of the Golden Hand standing on high towering platforms over the encampment equipped with crossbows or bows. "I don't want them standing in our way, can you and them know how to climb?"
"Yesss! Massster! We climb! We climb!" The green minion leaders answered.
"Then I will allow you to get to it, please." The greens and their leader left using their stealth ability to turn themselves invisible.
Glancing at the brown minions. "Once the greens dealt with the archers. Kill every criminal member in sight except for their Captain. He is for us." Rana ordered, referring to himself and his spirit companion.
"But if any of you dare try to steal the kill from us, we'll have your skin and guts." The Fourth Overlord threatened.
The brown cheered with glee, eager to kill someone with their wooden clubs and promise not to steal their masters' kill.
"As for us, I think we should go find the captain ourselves." Rana walked off out of his hiding spot.
Meanwhile the green minions, still in their invisible ability, began climbing up to the high tower platforms. Once they reached the top, the greens saw four archers standing over the edges in different spots looking down below. The minion assassins carefully sneak up to them from behind and use their ferocious backstab attack.
One of the brown minions from down below saw all the Golden Hand archers were being killed before they were pulled out of view by the green minions.
"Archies are down! We bash shinies now!" The brown minions cheered for a moment before they charged at the grounded criminals with their wooden clubs raised.
"What the-" One of the members of Golden Hand was bashed upward into his head by a brown minion's club who leaped up on top of him from the front and killed him instantly.
"Intruders! intru-" Another member got killed this time it was the green minion who got onto his back and started stabbing him repeatedly with his sharp claws.
"Holy-" A three member was smacked by the leg, causing him to fall to the dirt ground before he got killed by a brown who bash him downwards real hard to his head getting blood all over his club.
Soon the whole camp was alerted. The guards left their posts to deal with this threat.
The slaves in their cage bear witness as they saw these little creatures are killing their slavers as if there was a sign of new hope for them.
"What the hell is going on?" Gron demanded as he was with three of his bodyguards witnessing the fight happening between his men and these creatures. "And what the hell are these?"
"I don't know sir." One of his grunts said. "They came out of nowhere and began to start fighting several of our men, while ignoring the slaves in their cages."
"Find out who's responsible, it could be those damn elves again." Gron ordered him.
He and his group didn't notice the Son of the Giant Killer crouch across the rope above them.
Rana unsheathed his dagger and leapt off the rope line. He landed on Gron, stabbing him hard on the back of his left shoulder.
He hoped that could kill him but it didn't.
Gron first yelped in pain when he got stabbed but eventually he shook it off, grabbed his attacker, tossed him away before one of his bodyguards grabbed and yanked the dagger out of his shoulder.
Rana skillfully landed safely in a crouch.
Gron angrily took out his sword which it was carved, he then turned his head over to his attacker. "You?" His eyes widened in recognition as if he had seen a ghost before. "You?! Didn't Deus kill you and your pathetic excuse so-called parents?! You shouldn't be alive!"
"He should've checked for a pulse to make sure I was really dead." Rana took out his sword and changed at him.
As their blades crashed into each other as they stared off.
Gron sneered. "You could've died with your parents."
"I would've." He admits. "But your leader made a mistake of making me his enemy." Rana told his foe. "Once I'm done with you I'm going to move on to kill the rest of you."
Gron cackled. "If you kill me he'll come after you, he is not a man to let this slide."
"I'll take my chances." Rana glared at him. Besides we're going to take away everything he owns just as he took away my life!" He merely shoved him back.
Rana then rushed at him forward, he jumped up into the air slowly coming down. He used his blade to slice right into the man's right shoulder and cleave through his hip. Blood and gore flew out as Gron was severed his torso and lower body fell aside.
His bodyguards stood in shock seeing their dead Captain was defeated by a single child who killed him right in front of them.
"You son of a bitch!" Suddenly his own dagger, one of the bodyguards must've still had earlier was thrown in the air and it was heading towards him, in slow motion the boy stayed where he was, and caught his dagger's handle with his hand. Its top was a little close to his face but luckily it didn't touch him.
"What?!" The criminal gave a wide eyed look of surprise.
"You think you could kill me that easily?" He returned his dagger to its sheath before his sword. "But not to worry, let me send you to hell." The ghostly bow appeared in his hand.
"Kill him!" Before any of Golden Hand could charge at him, a ghostly arrow shot through the air and impaled into one of the criminal's forehead, sending him flying several meters before crashing down in a heavy thud.
They all were surprised by that speed.
"Nice shot, Rana." The Ghost Overlord spoke in his mind as Rana nocked two arrows into the bow string.
Pulling back. "Thank me later right after I kill them." He fired both arrows into the other two stun bodyguards' chests, sending them to drop on the ground.
Rana glanced over at the grant who was the last one remaining. "And what are you going to do?"
The Grant has a terrified look on his face. He didn't want to waste his life over some child who managed to kill four of his comrades so in response to his question he decided to turn around and run away from him as fast.
However before he could go further two brown and one green came out of nowhere and did a dog pile on top of him.
Two of the browns break his legs apart with their clubs while the green minion scratches his back tearing through his gold armor making him scream in agony.
"There was butchery, there was mayhem and carnage plus the screams, well done master."
"Thanks Gnarl." Rana observe this scene of torture strange he doesn't feel the slightest hint of regret for the grant or anything in fact he feel…happy.
His lips make an evil smirk like he is enjoying the show. But shortly he snaps out of it and comes back to reality. "What am I doing?"
"Stop." Rana ordered the minions as they did, disappointedly they whined like children. "I don't want him dead yet, so you're going to have to trust me. Gnarl have this one brought back to the Netherdeep where he will get interrogated find out what he knows after that kill him."
"Excellent idea, my Lord." Gnarl simply agreed as a portal to the Nether was opened next to them at their location. "I have Minion Gash to sharpen his tools of torture before he gets excited to execute him by chopping off his head off." Three brown minions came out of the portal, they grabbed both of his broken legs, making him yell in pain, ignoring him but liking his delightful screams. They started dragging him straight into the portal before it disappeared right behind them.
"Master." One of his present browns walks up to him. "Shinies were half dead but they called retreat, escape and abandoned camp, camp is now ou- mean yours."
"It's our camp not mine." Rana corrected him. "And I don't know what you just said except the last part about retreating."
"Allow me to clarify what he said to you." The Ghostly Overlord spoke, translating and repeating the minion's words to him. "The Golden Hand's forces were almost completely eradicated but the remaining of them decided to call out a fall retreat, leaving the camp behind therefore they abandoned their camp and it's now ours for the taking."
"Oh." Rana understands now.
"By the way, what should we do with them?" Rana looks towards the slaves in their cages who witnessed their fight all staring at him with wide eyes and he notice those looks from anywhere. Some were impressed, few were horrified at him.
Just because the strange boy and his creatures save their lives that doesn't mean they are all going to trust him like a friend.
Rana doesn't blame them for being afraid however he is not looking for thanks from them unless they feel like taking him.
"Easy let them go." Rana decided before ordered some minions to get the slaves out of their cages.
The Fourth appeared out. "Rana, the moment if we let them go, tell everyone what has transpired here."
"Are you suggesting we should kill them?" Rana turned his head over to him with an angry look. "I thought I made it clear that we are not going to kill innocent people."
"I'm not saying that we should." His ghostly friend told him calmly. "Just saying once we let them go they'll tell everyone and I mean everyone that the Overlord and minions have returned. At this rate people will start crapping themselves if they hear the name Overlord. They'll do anything to destroy us and by us I mean you."
"Then we'll be careful." Rana immediately said.
"Why be careful? When they could send a mod to come after us and kill us." He asked. "Or perhaps the entire region itself?"
"Because we're here to win a war against the same criminals who I hate, not play politics." Rana remarked as he walked off.
"In this land, they are one in the same." The grandson of the Second Overlord disappeared.
Rana walks by to a nearby slave cage. He breaks the lock with his dagger, opening it allowing a slave woman to come out of it and left before giving him a nod for thanks.
"Is that all of them?" His friend questioned, inside of his head.
"Think so." Rana answered but was unsure. "I'll have the minions sweep the area. Just to be sure."
"Good, I'll tell them for you."
After the campsite was captured. The Fifth Overlord have all the minions freed the slaves from their prison however there were some were heavy injured or wounded no doubt from their previous owners.
Rana summons ten blue minions out and has them treat both the injured and wounded properly with care.
Once all they left and never came back. Rana had the minions strapped the bodies of criminals' equipment and had them sent to the Netherdeep.
Their armor, parts of them and weapons.
The coins the minions find in their bodies. They brought it over to their master allowing him to keep it. He might need it more than they could.
As he began to count how many coins they have, his ear twitched when he heard a metal foot step from behind him. He dropped the bag of coins after tiring it up, grasping his sword.
Quickly turning for who is behind him but froze when he met a familiar face.
He sees a teenage girl with blonde longer hair, blue eyes, armor with a distinct breastplate, on her right arm and neck is a series of long brown straps wrapped around her. She carries a full-arm, armored gauntlet on her left arm with a buckler mounted on it.
She carries a sword and a three starred shield.
"Leina..." Rana letting go of his weapon's handle.
"Rana?" Leina slowly walked up to him with her eyes widened in shock. "Is that… really you?"
"Yes." He quickly nodded. "It's really me and I can prove it to you. Remember that day you met me and my mother? Remember that other day when your mother's sword was broken and I'd help Ymir to re-forget it?"
Leina seems to recall what he told her in pest. "Yes… I do." She stabs the tip of her mother's sword onto the ground.
She wasted no time by picking him up, giving him a good hug.
Rana hugs her back like he has for a very long time to see her again.
The Fourth Overlord didn't have any problem with the hugging; it reminded him when he snuggles with his mistresses to…(cough) screw with them and enjoy their happy time together, especially his childhood friend.
Soon their hug was broken, the Exiled Warrior carefully puts her little friend down back on the ground.
"How can you still be alive?" Leina questioned. "I thought you were dead. I heard from Nanael, she saw you get killed."
"I was dead but I wasn't ready to go to heaven yet." Rana said truthfully.
"What happened?" She wanted to know.
Rana stood silent for a moment. He looked over to the bag of his coins he'd dropped, he went over to It and picked it up. "It's kind of a long story you wouldn't believe me if I told you."
"I'll believe you." Leina said after taking up her sword, placing it inside of its scabbard on her side. "However, can we go somewhere else?"
"Why? Uh oh." Rana looks over at her and notices all the minions are surrendering her, glaring at her preparing to attack except for the blues thinking that she's one of the criminals they missed. Quickly he came up shielding her from them.
"No!" Rana exclaimed at them. "Do not kill her!"
When the minions blinked, looking up at him in confusion and raised their brows. "Uh? Master doesn't want us to kill half naked shiny?"
"Absolutely not! She is my friend and I trust her with my life!" Rana exclaimed.
"Master's friend?" The minion horde mutters and whispers to themselves.
"Rana." He looks up to his female warrior friend who is looking right at him who is also confused like them. "What are these creatures and why are they calling you master?"
Turning down his head, he closed his eyes as he took a deep breath. "Like I said, it is a long story."
"One that you will never be able to tell!" The humans and minions turn their hands to see a woman wearing a purple robe with a hood covering her head standing tall on top of a wooden pole.
"Who's that?" The Fourth Overlord queried inside his friend's head.
'I have no idea.' Rana replied in his thoughts. 'Never seen her before.'
"You." The mysterious woman points her finger at Leina. "You will pay for what you did to my mistress and I will make sure you will never live, and as for you." She moves her finger pointing at Rana. "You will die for killing my love, Gron. I'll never forgive you!"
'Gron's lover?' This surprised him from not seeing this coming. 'I didn't even know that he had a lover.' Rana thought.
"Was his lover." His ghostly friend corrected him. "Now that we killed him. She's going to seek retribution on us."
"But what about her mistress, masters?" Gnarl asked them in their minds. "She mentioned that Miss Leina has done something to her. I wonder why."
'I don't have a clue.' Rana commented, same to the Fourth Overlord as well.
She lifts up her head revealing her eyes are red. "Let's see if the two of you can turn against each other." Looking back at the Phantom Warrior. "Kill him." A red beam flew from her eyes and into hers.
Suddenly Leina's blue eyes turned red like hers, the unnamed woman has complete control of her like a puppet. Leina carefully took out her sword and aimed it down above Rana, preparing to kill him.
"Whoa!" Rana dodges her attack as the blade comes downwards and strikes the ground. "That was close." He manages to see it right through her.
Mind control Leina continued to attack him in sight while he avoided her attacks. 'Why is she attacking me?'
"Gnarl, what's happening to her?" The Spirit Overlord contented the minion advisor.
"Oh dear..." Gnarl responded in fear. "She is corrupted with dark magic and out of control." Leina does a warrior stance. "Sires, I think it's best we-I mean you should put her out of her misery."
"Out of the question!" Rana refuses as his unseen young companion orders all the minions to stand down before they have the chance to attack her. "There is no way, I'm killing her!" She then charges forward and swings her sword at him multiple times while he dodges and ducks them. "And whoever trained her must've paid off."
"Then I guess we have no other choice but to bend her to our will." He told him, making his host friend to make a 'why do I want to do that?' look at his face. "Because there's no choice. I know that you don't like this idea but there's no other way. it's either that or let her kill you."
"I'm afraid he is right, sire." Gnarl spoke in an agreement tone. "Dark magic is one thing that we minions can control and resist, but once it's in the mind of a human it will kill her… severely yet painful. You're going to have to break your promise to subdue her."
Rana hated this idea of theirs so much but he knew both of them were right there was no other option but to neutralize her, he knew their domination spell won't kill her but she will be loyal to him and will not be able to come back the way she was. 'Very well…but I'm not gonna like this.' He ducks his head underneath the blade to avoid its incoming sideward swing that was going to cut his neck. 'Leina forgive me… but this is for your own good.' Without thinking clearly he charges straight at her to push and shoves the Phantom Warrior on the ground, quickly he uses this chance. He places his left hand upon her face and dominates her quickly.
As the red eyes faded before disappearing Leina's real eyes returned back to their original color blue. She was free from the dark magic's corruption.
Rana gets off of her. "Are you okay?" He asked, offering her a hand.
"Yes, I am fine." Leina takes his hand pulling herself up with his help. "Thank you."
Rana nodded as he took his hand off of hers "Now that Issue has been handled." He turned to face the unnamed woman to glare. "It's time to deal with you."
The woman snarled. "And how exactly you're going to do that you little-" She screams in pain when a sudden fireball out of nowhere was thrown into the air as it hit and touched her whole head.
She soon loses her foot balance and falls off the wooden pole killing herself from the fall while the fire does the rest of its work on her body, possibly turning it into a crisp.
Rana and the others turned their head towards the direction to where the fireball was shot at, seeing a few red minions, at least five of them.
"Sorry about that sire, I try stopping the little red burning devils but they can't help themselves. Still it's nice to see someone get burned alive by fire while screaming in agonizing pain until they're dead heh heh heh." Gnarl evilly chuckled.
Rana sighs slightly from his mouth. "It's no matter… what's done is finished, we would've captured her to find out answers but it's too late. We'll have to sort this out later." Looking over at his blonde friend.
"Leina." he spoke, immediately getting her to turn her head to him. "Come with me, I like to speak to you privately."
Leina nodded. "Right."
"As for the rest of you." He turned his head towards the minions. "You can continue what you're doing."
"Yes master." They bowed all at once before dismissing themselves, continuing what they were doing earlier.
"Gnarl, have one of the minions promoted to outpost leader by the time we're done with his camp." His other master ordered while the young boy and blonde girl walked along towards an empty war tent for them to talk alone.
"As you wish, your ghostliness." Gnarl obeyed. "It will be done."
"…and that's how it happened." Few hours had passed and dawn had approached the sky. Rana told every detail to Leina. The full story and the purpose of becoming the Fifth Overlord. He told her about how he came back from the dead by getting resurrected but was in a coma for a week and a half, thanks to the help of his companion who also shared minor details for him to tell Leina.
"Unbelievable." Leina rubs her forehead slightly as she and him sit together at a bench table. "You're telling me the Fourth Overlord… the Dark Emperor of the Glorious Empire who was killed thousands years ago got turned into a wraith by a legendary mage who is now currently inside you?"
"Well, technically he's bonded with me that we both share the same body, which is my body but yes, you can say that." Rana nodded. "He greeted you but you can't see him or hear him as I explain to the story. Only I, supernatural beings, people who are magic users and possibly magical creatures can also see him, not all of them I'm afraid."
"This is a lot to take in." She shook her head slightly. "I don't know what to say but I feel you're in the wrong possession,"
"Doubting the story I told you?" He questioned calmly.
"No I see no reason you told the truth to me with no lie." Leina clarified. "As I said before I'll believe you, Lord Rana. You never once lied to me nor to your family ever since I first met you, you and your mother have helped me with my mother's weapon. I was in your debt and I was still able to repay the debt by freeing her and your father."
Rana gave a warm smile to her being touched by her words. "Thanks."
"You're welcome." Leina smiles back. "And besides I would like to owe you a favor for getting me free from that mind control."
"What kind of favor?
"It's a surprise, one that I cannot tell you yet."
Curious of what is the surprise to him, he decides to leave it be for now.
"Lord apologies for intrusion." Gnarl has contacted him. "I thought you would like to know something."
'What is it, Gnarl?' He spoke, using his thoughts so that his friend won't hear his voice of whom he is speaking to while inside the tent.
"Since you're concentrating your evil efforts on killing Deus' officers off your kill list one at a one. I strongly advise to put a hold on operation sneaky into the fortress for now on. Don't worry that place isn't going anywhere and will be ready for it."
"That's my opinion as well." The Fourth Overlord agreed to his adviser's idea. "We should focus on killing the rest of his scum group out in the open like the ones we already killed."
"Hmmm." He takes this moment to think about this as he rubs underneath his chin as he decided. 'Okay, let's do that, we can deal with their fort later when that time comes. Let's go with that plan to take them all out one by one.'
"That was quicker." The Fourth and Servant of darkness simultaneously said.
'Naturally everyone around these lands are going to start hating or liking us from getting rid of such an evil criminal empire.' Rana pointed out. 'That's how society works between the nice and the bad. There's no helping it though, have you told Dora and the others about this?'
"I have and they all improve." Gnarl answered. "Surprisingly this is the first time I have seen the group agree with this plan. But they are still willing to help you, master. They will do anything in their power to serve you and send all those worthless peons into a one-way ticket to hell or the inferno abyss."
'Then they have our permission to go out there and start handing the Golden Hand.' Rana approved.
"I will tell them immediately." Gnarl replied. "Just one thing however…"
'There's always a 'however or but' isn't there?'
"I believe his lordship has already told you, you need to have more followers and truth be told before you have awakened from your comatose state. The master used your body to try to 'recruit' them himself. He'd subjugate three of them but unfortunately sadly he couldn't have many of them. They were hardly beyond him, making him look weak. But now that you have recovered he is now more powerful than ever anyway back on track. What if I told you I can locate them for you."
"Go on." Listening carefully.
Gnarl continued, "there is one nearby farther away from the camp. She is rather inside of a cabin deeper into a forest possibly doing something in there which I do not know and before you ask I can sense her life force of evil energy and not only that she's also a sorceress."
'Another one? We can always use a second sorceress. Let's go get her but once again I'm not going to like this one bit.' Rana still hates the idea of dominating a living person.
"If you don't like it so much, maybe I should take over." His friend volunteered to do it for him.
"Are you sure?" He doesn't feel comfortable about this.
"Trust me and you have my word that no harm will come to Airi." He promised with no lie. "But if she attacks me I've no choice but to defend us without hitting her."
This was enough to convince him easily. 'I'll allow it. But don't hurt my body so much.'
"Very well," He remarked. "I will try not to damage it… now close your eyes for a moment."
Rana did so. He closes his eyelids shielding his eyes before opening them his eye color suddenly to turn to grayish black.
Lifting his hands up close to his face for him to see them. "Good." He said this voice wasn't his own, it doesn't belong to the young former blacksmith assistant, it belongs to the Son of the Third Overlord.
He was now in full possession of his body.
The Overlord looks placed, hands down. 'I won't be able to use most of my wraith powers while controlling this of his body.'
"Indeed my ghostly one." Gnarl commented. "While it may be shameful, at least you can do it by using your super strength, speed and agility. speaking of which, sire, can you hear me?"
"Yeah, I can hear you." He speaks echoing in his own mind. "So this way feels like being inside my own head."
"Truly." He replied. "All right enough talk we wasted our time here." Sitting up, he got out of the table bench. "Leina." Getting her attention to look at him. "Prepare your things we're leaving immediately."
"Right." Leina nodded her head in response before going inside the tent, to her things.
While she was gone, one of the minions, a brown, came by to his master and reported that no one else was in the outpost besides them alone. The Son of Inferno God orders him to tell the other minions to do one more search to be absolutely sure, before leaving the campsite with the Phantom Warrior who was already done packing her gear up.
Both headed to the location where the sorceress might be or not. Not after the boy retrieved his wolf rider before continuing.
Within the cabin Gnarl has mentioned. There was a woman with brown hair that spikes down, with an ahoge on the top of her head. She has green eyes, wears a red sexy dress, her shoulders and less of her breasts were exposed, she had red gloves long with a golden line at the end, red long leg boots and a heart underneath her big breasts showing her skin.
She was Nyx the Master of Flame.
Her lifting evil staff, Funikura was in the right corner sleeping peacefully.
Her life led to once fear…fear of angering people, fear of girls who liked to tease her, and fear of that wretched daughter of the lord's family who tormented her every single day. She let fear control her life for far too long and she hated it. She wanted to be free, to be strong and show everyone that she was the wrong girl to mess with, but she just couldn't break that barrier yet.
Now she is planning to take revenge on all those who played her for a fool in the past and most of all…her. She has other plans with her.
As she stared at the fire she made from her spells. She was cooking elk meat hanging on a stick for herself, adding some salt to it. it's not ready yet she just needed to wait for a few minutes more until she'll eat it.
'I should've grabbed some non-poisonous herbs to eat while I was hunting.' Nyx sighs. 'Shame I'll worry about that later.'
Her thoughts suddenly were interrupted when she heard a soft knock on the door.
'Who could that be?' Standing up to get off the log as her seat and walks up the door.
Opening to see no one but when she looks down she sees a cute little boy with armor on and equipped weapons who is looking at her with adorable eyes.
'My, what do we have here?' Nyx moves over to crouch down to his size; she has a soft spot for kids. "Why hello there, what's your name sweetie?"
When she didn't know this kid was the Fourth Overlord himself who is currently in control of his vessel's body.
Looking at her straight to the face he pretended to be a sweet innocent boy not that he didn't like it because he was never sweet and innocent back at wintering town he's naughty he's not nice. "My name?" He uses Rana's voice to hide his. "You want to know my name?"
"Yes." She nodded, giving him a soft smile. "You can tell me if you don't want to."
"Okay I'll tell you my name, but first..." He left up his left hand. "Can I please touch you just to be sure you're real."
"Sure." She brought his hand to the side of her face allowing him to touch it. "There…do I look real to you?"
"Yes." He reveals his evil smile to her. "You just made a mistake." And his real voice.
"What?!" Realizing she was being played as a fool before she could react.
The Fourth uses his ring of power to dominate her into his will. "Swear loyalty to the Onyx Lord." As the power of domination flew into her.
When he took his hand off of her. Nyx bowed to him on one knee. "I will serve you without question, Onyx Lord."
"Rise up and step aside please." He said immediately.
"Yes, your lordship." Obeying her master's command, standing up, stepping aside to allow him to pass in the cabin.
'What the heck is that thing?' Rana asked as his partner was looking at the sleeping living staff.
'I have absolutely no idea.' The Fourth Overlord carefully walked up to it. "But I can sense evil energy within it, and its loyalty to no one but itself alone. it seeks out stronger people not weaklings, attempts to control them, and forces them to do its bidding. I'm going to have to bend it to our will so it will stay absolutely loyal to us." he reached in and grabbed the handle of the living staff.
The second he did. Funikura wakes up from his sleep and looks at the intruder who is touching him. Angry, he tries to attack him with his tentacles only to be dominated with the power of the ring, stopping the tentacles from reaching near him.
'Close call.' He looks at the eye of stuff as it pulls its tentacles away from him hoping it could hear him if it has ears. "Listen up from this point on, for now on you will take orders from her." He pointed at the Flaming Sorceress with the back of his thumb. "Understood."
Funikura simply blinks his only eye, giving him a yes.
"Okay?" He lets go of it. "This thing clearly doesn't speak."
"My lord." Leina appeared out of nowhere as she stepped inside of the wooden house. "I have to check the area where there are no signs of enemies so far it is clear."
"Good work, Leina." He congratulated her, who nodded in response.
'Leina?' Nyx gazed directly at her until she realized who she was. 'Of course, her older sister. I held no grudge against her. But I won't forget what her sister nor her family has done to me. But I could be friends with her.'
"One down." Rana whispered in his friend's ear. "So who's next?"
'Easy.' The Grandson of the Second contacted his advisor. 'Gnarl, where can we find the Inescapable Shadow?"
Standing still and looking down from a cliff, is a beautiful young woman with blonde hair and light blue eyes. Her outfit was revealing; she wore a white bow around her neck and a blue breastplate, and silver hip armor. Her arms have lace sleeves, a silver metal gauntlet arm was on her left, her legs have thigh-high lace with silver greaves. Her spear she carries has a large white cloth wrapped around it. Her tiara resembles cat ears.
She was named Elina Vance.
"Well, it's history now." She turns her head towards a boy beside her. He has black hair, green eyes, he wears a green vest and a white shirt, with a light green cravat by his neck, dark green shorts, black socks and brown shoes. "It's either broken or it's hanging on the tree. We are not going to go down there and find out."
"But we have to go down there and get it back." The boy was known as Michel Rivaranciel. "My flute couldn't be broken easily."
"Not happening, have you noticed the sky lately?" She points in the direction of it.
"Yes." He sees the sun setting down slowly, but very shortly nighttime will come.
"I'd rather not stay up this very hour once it's dark. So you're welcome to go down there and try to find it yourself. Cause I'm not going to help you." She turns and walks away from him leaving him to whine and complain like the kid he is.
"Grr!" Michel groaned when she was gone, he kicked some dirt out of frustration. "I hate it when she treats me." He muttered to himself. "She's always been too crude, selfish and rude to me. Course, she'd help me and she saves me that day but it's like she sees me as a distraction."
"You are not a distraction," a mysterious voice spoke to him.
"Huh?!" He turned his head sideways. "Who said that?"
"I have." Michel flinched as he got scared when turning around and seeing the Fourth Overlord still in control of his human friend's body.
"Ahh!" He screams in fear as he protects himself. "Please don't kill me."
"Relax dear boy, I'm not going to hurt you." He told him, causing him to look at the strange kid, slowly pulling his hands down. "I couldn't help but feel sorry for you how rude she talks to you like that."
"W-Well, that's how life is." He said with shyness.
"I know how you feel." The Fourth placed a hand on his shoulder making him flinch a little. "Yet I can't help myself that you have fallen for her."
"Hmm?" Michel doesn't know what he means by that.
"You are in love with her are you?"
"Whoa?!" Michel nervously blushes his cheeks red as he was off guard by his question, yep his face says it all and couldn't deny it. "I-" He moved his both fingers together in a circle. "I-I-I… well I do but-"
"Let me stop you right there." The young evil Overlord cut him off, getting his attention. "How about I can offer you a deal, one that you cannot refuse."
"What deal?" The Fourth Overlord leaned in close and whispered something to his ear that made his eyes widen. "You can do that?"
"Of course I can." He leaned back, taking his hand off his shoulder. "She can be yours if you agree to serve me."
"I have one thing before I agree." Michel said.
"Name it."
"My flute." He responded. "I dropped it sometime ago at this cliff edge, can you go down and get it for me?"
"You mean this?" The Old Overlord pulled out his flute he mentioned about which was snapped in half.
"It's broken?!" The human boy shouted and took the two pieces from him in shock to see it destroyed. "How did it get like this?"
"I found it like that after I climbed up here without you looking." He answered. "And it's best not to ask me if I step on it, which I didn't."
Michel sighs slightly. "No matter, thank you for retrieving this for me, I still can't believe it's broken. One more thing." He kneels down before him. "I, Michel Rivaranciel, pledge my allegiance and loyalty to you."
"Excellent rise." He did so without delay. "Now that you swear to me I would like to ask a favor."
"Yes?"
"Where did her royal highness go?" The Fourth Overlord asked politely.
"At the camp south ahead from here not far." He reveals. "If there's any place it's there but she's not alone she bought company with her during our journey."
'So she has backed up.' The Former Overlord started to turn ahead. "Come with me and explain to me who is protecting her." He began to walk.
"Yes, of course." Michel walks off with him to follow behind as he tells him the information.
Elina arrives back to her camp she and slaves set up awhile ago speaking of them, she sees her slaves come up to her bow.
First her slave on the right is a young woman, who has long, red hair in twintails longer and blue-green eyes. She wears a french maid outfit and the bow on her back is bigger.
Her second one is also a young woman with long black hair in a ponytail tied in a red bow. She wears the standard clothes of a miko, a Japanese priestess.
"Airi, Tomoe." Elina acknowledged. "Were there any signs of trespassers besides those criminals we encountered from yesterday?"
"Not whatsoever." Tomoe reported.
"Same here." Airi reported as well. "So far things are looking quiet and I sense no life approaching here."
"I wouldn't say that." Elina stated. "Things are never too quiet as they were out here. We'll be expecting something to happen."
"Why is that?" Tomoe asked.
However before she could answer they all heard a twig break with a heavy footstep.
"That's why." Elina and her slaves draw out their weapons to be on guard, waiting for a sign of who or whatever is lurking about.
From the bushes, the Demon Lord of Nordberg came out and stepped into their view.
"A child?" For a moment Elina thought it would be some kind of bandit or wild animal but no it had to be a kid. "How is he? Do any of you know him?"
"Never see him before." Tomoe replied.
"I have." Airi revealed, getting her master and the priestess their attention towards her. "It's Rana. I knew him a very long time ago when I met him and his mother, however." She narrowed her eyes. "It's not actually him, he is being controlled by a wraith like me, besides me but this one is way different than I am."
'Damn, she sees me through you.' The Fourth Overlord said. 'Looks like you were right. She is a wraith like me but in a different kind of way.'
'That's Airi for you.' Rana responded throughout his own head.
"How can you tell there is an evil spirit within him?" Tomoe questioned.
"I can see him." Airi's eyes are not lying to her. In her view of eye sight she could see the Fourth Overlord himself standing before them instead of her human little friend.
"Then it must be expelled." The priestess pulls out a magical paper talisman.
"Time out, I'm not here to fight any of you." The Former Emperor told them with his hands holding out. "I'm only to face her." He pointed at the Phantom Warrior's youngest sister.
Elina sniffed. "And what makes you think I'm going to fight you?"
"I thought you would face anyone who was your opponent." He stated as he prepared himself without taking out weapons. "Unless the Captain of the Royal Guard has gone soft and too weak like a foolish girl."
One of her eyebrows twitches emotionally with anger. "Excuse me, what did you just say to me?!"
Tomoe would've asked her to calm down but knowing her. She will be too stubborn to listen. So it's best not to interfere with this.
"I think you heard what I said, big mouth kitty ear woman."
Airi almost laughed at that insult he called her.
Elina growled slightly. "You're dead." She ready her spear before charging at the possessed boy who simply stood there.
"Wait, don't kill the boy!" Tomoe tried to say to her but she was ignored.
As Elina rushes forward she pierce through his chest with the tip of her spear. However the Spirit Overlord took advantage by catching her weapon's tip with his left hand gauntlet's finger claws before it could reach him.
"What?!" Elina was shocked when she tried to pull her weapon out of his three fingers but it was stuck between them.
"Not bad you nearly got me, however that was a foolish attempt." He punches her straight into her revealing belly with his strength not giving her a chance to react in time.
Puking out saliva, Elina was forced to let go of her weapon to hold her stomach with two of arms before falling down to her knees.
Tomoe was about to go over to help her out.
"Don't even think about it." Tossing the spear away the former evil ruler summons out his ghostly bow, sending an arrow at her.
Tomoe got tapped by the arrow that had gone straight through her leg turning it into solid ice, pinning her to the floor. Knowing its effects are temporary, if she tries to move her leg she'll likely destroy her leg.
"You." The Overlord looks over at the wraith maid. "Stay where you are or." He quickly fired an arrow close to a tree near beside her, causing her to jump a little. "Got it?
That was a warning shot he gave to her. Airi wasted no time nodding her head up and down getting the message.
'I thought you said you won't be able to use most of your powers like your bow.' Rana spoke up.
The bow disappears off his hands. 'I can't but I can still use my bow only for a short while for five seconds.' He reached down and grabbed Elina by her cheeks, jerked her up so she could look at his face with a glare which he ignored her. 'Just to be clear, it's not only all today I can do that while controlling your body.' He touched her face with his gauntlet hand dominating her before letting go of her. 'I can also do this in only one day.'
After the effects of ice, Tomoe can finally move only for a ghost clone of the once called emperor to show up out of nowhere, grabs her arm with the katara on hand pulling her face down forcing her to little crouch as It dominated her as well before disappearing.
'I didn't know you could do that.' Rana said, while she stood herself up.
'There are things you don't know about me.' He turns his head to face the wraith maid and walks up to him.
"You're not Rana are you?" She asked as the Overlord steps forward to her.
"No." The Son of the Third answered before stopping near in front of her while the Warrior Priestess went up to help out the Inescapable Shadow. "He's safe. I'm just borrowing his body for a while. Once I give it back to him then you can say hi to him as you please to. However you serve another master, one, I do know very well you may leave."
Surprised by this sudden offer he is giving her. "What about those two?" Airi questioned, looking at her former master retrieving her spear and the katana wielding warrior.
"They will slay to serve for me for the time being." The Priestess and the Blonde Spearwoman marches up behind him. "So unless you feel like staying with us I suggest you better not keep her waiting any longer."
Couldn't argue with that, she gave him her thanks for freeing her by giving him a quick bow before she flows up into the air and vanishes out of sight.
"And by me I mean us." He left out. "Thought, she never leaves,"
"Is she gone?" Michel pops his head out from a bush.
"Yes, you can come out now." Michel comes out of the bushes to reveal himself. He walks up to the group. "Did you do it?"
"Yep." The young boy looks at the person he loves. "Just to be clear, she'll be fine as long as she doesn't kill herself."
"You have my thanks again." Michel bowed at his praise.
The Fourth Overlord held up his hand for him to stop. "It was nothing as a matter of fact you deserve a reward." He looked over to the third daughter of Vance Family. "Elina."
"Yes, My Lord?" She immediately looked at him.
He began. "In the name of the Overlord. Michel Rivaranciel will be your lover." This causes Michel to blush embarrassingly and nervously again. "You will listen to what he says and treat him well with kindness."
"Understood my Lord." She turned her head towards her new lover with a soft smile. "I will love him with all my heart."
"One last thing, Michel." Getting his attention. "Since you help me out you will be my bodyguard and you will be provided with professional training as you know you need to defend yourself not others to do it for you unless necessary."
Understanding Michel needed to teach himself how to survive. "T-Thank you very much, but if you allow it. I would like to work alongside Elina." He requested.
"If that is your wish then so be it." The Overlord will allow him to. "Henceforth you will be trained Elina directly as a warrior in training ."
"Look like I'm both your lover and trainer." Elina moves over to him, crouching down so that she can pull him into her arms. Resting his head against her breasts.
"Lord." Tomoe spoke up. "With your permission I would also want to train the boy as well. He might learn a thing or two from me."
"Very well. I'll allow it." He nodded in agreement. 'Gnarl, do you have any suggestions of my decision?' He contacted him, he knows too well he's been listening to this conversation and seeing.
"Not at a lease, Great one." His minion advisor responded.
'Fair enough.' He'll take that as a compliment.
The Overlord barely noticed his host's sense of triumphant satisfaction. 'That's three. Can we do one more? I'm getting tired.'
'Yes, I can tell' He could feel this human body was getting exhausted ready to go to sleep but he managed to get it back up by pinching himself, apologizing to his friend for doing that. He looks up to the sky, noticing it's already night time no longer dawn. 'I'll get the next one then you can rest.' He smiles as an idea comes to mind. 'And I think I know who.'
"Elina." He turned his head to look at her. "Where can I find your half sister?"
Vance County…
A tall woman with violet hair and eyes, her sexy armor is golden with black under-pieces, with a long split white cape. The weapon she carries with her is a long black and gold sword.
Claudette Vance was her name. She was in a calm mood this hour of the night. She walked in her quarters really to hit the hay when all of a sudden a shadowy figure dropped right down to the ceiling he was hanging above his target, reached and grabbed into her head in a lock wrapping his around her neck, holding on to her real tight while she struggled to get him off.
Forcing to let go of her weapon, letting it drop to the floor. She grabs the back of the intruder's clothing to pull him off but he wouldn't budge.
"Get…off.. of… me!" Claudette tried getting this trespasser off with her using her own strength.
"Not a chance." The intruder was identified as the Fourth Overlord who somehow managed to snuck in. He quickly raises his left hand before placing it on the side of her head.
Claudette was forced to freeze as he dominated her to his will before she came back to reality. The young lord finally gets off, thanking her support to carry him down.
'That was close and I told you it was a bad idea.' Rana said.
'At least it did work.' The Overlord pointed out. 'And besides, she was far more stronger and powerful than us, which we couldn't handle. Not to mention she has the power to use lightning through her hands without the use of her sword.'
"My Lord and Master." Claudette knees down and bow her head to him. "I am your humble servant."
'With that we are done here tomorrow will find some more followers.' The Fourth Overlord let his human friend take back full control of his body. 'Rana prepared to withdraw, we are returning to Netherdeep.'
"Right." He was glad to have his body back after his color eyes returned to normal.
The Fourth contacted his dark advisor. 'Gnarl, I need a nether portal here. Our mission has been completed for now. Also have our followers we 'recruited' and our bodyguard brought to the deep.'
'Right away, Master.' Right on cue a portal opens behind the young boy.
"Come with me, please." Rana turned and steps inside.
Claudette picked up her weapon before walking inside the portal, before closing for a second.
Netherdeep…
"Welcome back again, sire." Stepping out of the portal. Rana and Claudette had arrived at the place and home of ultimate evil.
He looks straight and sees not only his minion advisor but the few former contestants who participated in the tournament dominated by his friend and his new bodyguard all bow to him. " as you requested I have brought your followers and your bodyguard here and I see that you brought the Queen of Thundercloud." Gnarl placed his glance at her. "And I must say she's looking… quite wonderful and delicate yet too shiny in that armor of hers."
Ignoring the minion master for now on. Claudette looks towards her half sisters. She didn't say anything to them but the look on her eyes told them that she was happy to see them again as a family.
Both Leina and Elina noticed her look and knew it very well they smiled at her.
"I know what you mean by that so get used to it." Rana let out a yawn as the Fourth Overlord appeared beside him. "I'm going to bed, you?"
"I'm going to do some work." He simply replied. "Gnarl, take me to the magic room."
"Very well, follow me. Dark One." Gnarl bowed before guiding him to the magic room while he followed behind him.
"One last thing before you go." Rana said, managing to stop them. "I need you to improve the ring." He took off the black ring of power and gave it to his ghost friend, placing it at the palm of his hand. "You know my father gave it to me as his last gift. It was all I could remember him,"
Looking at his own ring. "Your father gave this to you without knowing its true purpose." Closing his hand with the ring inside it as he looks up to face him. "He should know its true origins are, its destiny lies, the person who built it, this yours truly me with a little help of my minions and my mistress. He should've left it be it doesn't belong to him nor it doesn't belong to you. However I trust you that you will take responsibility to take care of it. Despite being unbreakable it can still be stolen and in the wrong hands they will not handle its true power or serve them. It can only be worn by an Overlord whose blood he or she carries within them but I think you understand that."
"I do. I think."
"Close enough." The Fourth Overlord gives his ring to Gnarl by flipping it over to him like a coin.
"We'll have it improved and ready for tomorrow, my liege. Sire, shall we continue?" Gnarl carries on with his earlier order to lead his spirit master to the magic room as the Son of Third walks off with him.
"Master Rana." Michel walks up to him. "Question: who were you speaking to?"
Tomoe, Elina, and Claudette put their gaze towards him for they would also want to know as well.
"Long story but later." Rana said immediately, avoiding this. "And call me by my name, don't call me lord or master, only my single name."
"Of course." He quickly bowed to him.
"Young Lord." Dora walks up to him, immediately he looks at her. "Before you may sleep, did you mind if I had your shadow magic medallion? I'll give it back to you tomorrow."
"I don't mind." Rana took the shadow medallion out and kindly gave it to her. "Do as you will but not destroy it please."
Without anything else to say, the boy headed for his room so he could finally rest well for day.
The next day…
"By my old claws it cannot be!"
At the Hall of Villains, Rana showed his minion advisor the silver cross that he and his ghostly friend took from the corrupt priest they'd killed.
"You know what this is?" Rana asked.
"More or less." Gnarl replied not looking away from the cross his master had in his hand. "This is the Cross of Beatrice. Given to her lover Dante. It is indeed a powerful artifact that allows you to perform holy-based ranged shooting to foes you cannot reach."
"What happens if I destroy this thing?" Rana asked, shocking him.
"Sire, you can't be serious if it's destroyed it may cost the earth's core to explode killing everyone standing on it including here in the netherworld or worse if you crush it, it will probably..." He takes a deep breath. "It's best not to find out."
"I see." Rana understood putting the cross away.
"However the holy energy on that thing it's starting to make my skin all gross and it's filling me up with…happiness." He practically spat the name. "My master forgive my rudeness but I must ask you kindly to please get rid of it. We can't afford to have it here knowing that the humans' god will retrieve their holy weapon back."
"I'm not going to get rid of it." Rana told him. "Instead I'm going to give it to a priest who is going to join our side."
"P-Priest?!" Gnarl exclaimed. "Sire, you can't be serious. Priests are nothing more than arrogant fools who believe in their bible by reading it and followers of their so-called… god. They always and I always praise the weak and grace themselves before eating food in their church."
"I am." Rana was dead serious. "But not a Priest actually, a Priestess to be exact."
"That's even worse." Gnarl muttered.
The Fourth Overlord teleported himself before his host and evil servant of darkness between them.
"Rana, as you requested from yesterday the ring has been improved." He gave the ring to him, dropping it into his hand. "I would tell you the details of how I did it but it's a trade secret."
"You don't have to tell me I will get bored with them." Rana puts the ring back on his same finger. "Since you're here currently, now me and you are going outside to find and dominate a Priestess."
"One of the followers of God? Have you lost your mind?" Overlord questioned him as if his host gone crazy. "The only way to find one it's from a church and churches are holy places that we despise the most and we dare not to trespass them."
"With that in mind, my lord. Can't find someone else besides a worshiper of humanity's so-called god." Gnarl replied agreeing with his other master to come up with a better idea.
"I know you dislike churches or god but think about it. If we have a Priestess with us on our side she can help us by teaching the blue minions about light magic so we can use it to our advantage not to mention she will also share her knowledge of holy elements and spells. We could possibly weaponize that to our weapons against unholy creatures should we cross paths with them." Rana told both of them hoping that could convince them.
"Hmm." The Son of the Third was a little convinced of his offer. "This is indeed true, we couldn't avoid undead creatures such as skeletons and zombies without the use of light magic. What do you think, Gnarl?" Looking over to his advisor.
"Holy magic may be our enemy for many years. But if we have that to our side." Gnarl let out a gasp. "We can find a way to corrupt it and reproduce it to make unholy magic like the chaos medallion." He turned to his human Overlord. "Sire, I'm convinced now you can count me in."
"Thank you." Rana was relieved of his answer. Though he didn't like the idea of turning light magic into dark magic but it is what it is.
Dora walks in the hall. "Lord Rana." She brought herself forward to him before showing his shadow medallion to him. "Your medallion as promised."
He gently took it from her, thanking her with a nod before placing it away. "Gnarl, before we begin to depart, has Grubby found what he was tasked with?"
"Yes, Sire. He and his team found many of the mining materials and they bought them here." He reported, looking at his ghost master. "There are no dark energy crystals yet. I'm afraid but they did find fairy gems, a bunch of them."
The Old Overlord nodded his head in response, disappointed that there are no dark energy crystals to be found but satisfied and pleased that there are some fairy crystals here in the Nether.
Rana was pleased. "Good, with the materials at our disposal we are able to make weapons and armor for the minion army."
"Indeed, sure." Gnarl nodded in agreement. "I'll tell Grubby and his team to bring them the materials they mined to Giblet and his assistant, Ricket. They'll know what to do with them."
"Do that." Rana said before looking at his ghost ally. "Now without any more delay shall we begin?"
The Fourth disappeared with a word that was his cue for the human boy to walk off, exiting out of the hall.
Gainos…
Within a local church where only a few candles are lit around the area and cover it in a dim orange glow. Inside was a wonderful priestess kneeling in front of the altar with the crucifix, with her hands together close to chest.
The Priestess's name is Melpha.
She wears a blue open-sided dress with a white under-suit. She has white gloves, a blue hat with the mark of the church upon it, a pair of glasses and white garters with brown knee-length boots.
As she was praying, she suddenly stops as she notices the flames of the altar candles are getting disturbed and some are dying which causes darkness to envelop the church interior.
"Is someone there?" She turns to face an armored boy and some little figures lurking in the shadows. "Ah…have you come to confess, my child?"
"No." All the candles die out, causing the area to engulf in pure darkness, the only light source was the bright half moon that beams through the stained glass windows. Appearing into the coloured moonlight, was Rana and his minions appeared before her.
"God help me." Melpha whispered in fear.
"God cannot save you, only you can save yourself." Rana said before ordering the minions to surround her should she try anything foolish.
As he gets near the Priestess slowly. 'Is this really necessary?"
'Yes.' His partner spoke within his head.
'Shouldn't we do this alone without bringing the minions with us? They are helpful but they are starting to scare her half to death." He notices some of his minions are glaring at the Priestess, making her uncomfortable. 'And I kind of feel bad for her.'
"Well, we need them to understand. We're enemies of God." He appeared to his right side as they stopped near in front of the Priestess. "Not his…agh friends, especially not to his followers. At least not yet once she's dominated.'
'Before we can do that can we at least show her it?' Rana asked, referring to the silver cross he still had in his possession.
"Knock yourself out." The Fourth Overlord allows him to do so. "But be a little evil."
'How about no.' He finally turned his attention to the Priestess. "Excuse me, Priestess, may I have your attention please." Rana called her out.
"Ah! Yes!" She quickly looks at him.
"I apologize for my rude appearance to you but I need to take the safety precautions since you are a member of the church. I wanted to show you something." Rana brought out the silver cross allowing her to see it.
Melpha gulped in shock as her eyes widened in recognition of the cross he had. "The Cross of Beatrice." She crossed herself to chest and forehead. "Where did you get that, who processed it before you?"
"I'll answer your first question, a monk named Malaquias had it before I stole it off of him." He explained.
"The heretic?" That name took her by surprise. "I haven't heard of his name since he betrayed the church of god for five years. Where is he?"
"He's dead, he died by my hand and he's on his way to hell." Rana revealed. 'And by me I mean we.' He was referring to himself and his spirit partner.
"I see." She doesn't want to know the monk's death in detail.
"But that's not the reason why I'm here to discuss this with you. The reason why I'm here is because I want to give you this cross as a gift."
"What?!" She almost yelled. "But I am unworthy to have such a holy relic as a gift."
"Don't care though this cross isn't for free, I want something in return." Rana brought his hand out. "Become my subordinate and I promise you that no harm will come to you."
She looked at his hand but didn't take it. " The offer is tempting, however I must refuse."
"I told you she was going to say no." The Overlord smirks underneath his handkerchief.
'Whatever.' Rana sighs in disappointment. 'But regardless if she would've say no then I have to do this to make her reconsider the offer.'
"Fine then don't become my subordinate." The boy took out his dagger. "I'll just have to destroy the cross." He activates the shadow medallion, body when activated, his body will be surrounded by a red aura, infusing his weapon with shadow energy. "You won't mind if I do that right?"
His companion knows that this is a lie to trick her, a bluff to be exact though neither of them it's not going to tell if she's going to take it or not.
"No!" Melpha exclaimed, she tried to get near to stop them only for the minions to stop her path preventing her from getting close to him. "If you do that you'll doom us all!"
'Yes, she bought it but not good enough.' Rana thought. 'I need to lie deeper. I don't like it but it's worth a try.'
"Sorry but the world is not my problem." Rana said in a cold tone. "Since you rejected my offer I have left with no choice but to destroy this relic along this very world we live in, so technically it's your fault."
Melpha was strunk directly in the heart.
"However, if you reconsider my offer I'll forgive everything you said. If you refuse again I will destroy this relic here and now." He raised the dagger in his hand up into the air. "Going once." He slowly brought it down close to the cross. "Going twice."
"Please stop!" Melpha immediately drops down to her knees and hands to bow. "I'll do it, I'll become your subordinate! In the name of our savior please don't destroy this world!"
Rana deactivated his chaos medallion's power. "Good." He put his dagger away. "Give me your hand."
Melpha offered her right hand to him without hesitating. Rana grabs it with his left using the dark ring's power to dominate her before letting it go while she brings it back where it belongs.
"Raise your head please." Melpha lifts her head up and stares at him. "Do you serve me?"
"Yes, my master." Melpha closes her eyes. "My body and soul now belongs to you for you are my god alone."
"Fair enough I guess." Rana rubs the back of his head.
"Nicely done." His friend congratulated him.
'Thanks.' He presented her the cross which she humbly accepts.
"Now that's settled, we should continue to gather more followers." The Grandson of the Second Overlord said to remind him yesterday.
'Alright, but before that there's something you should know.' Rana replied. "When I use the chaos medallion I can feel my anger increasing so that I can control it, darkness was fueling up my hate. The rest… I can't describe."
"You'll get used to it." He told him.
'Truthfully?" Rana asked, in which his friend answered.
"No." The Overlord stated, shaking his ghostly head.
"Wow… all right that aside, who are we going to go after now?" Rana was curious to know Who is the next target.
Here was a woman trudged through the thick foliage of the jungle she was traveling through. She has bright red long straight hair, wearing an ornate red tight jacket as a top, with a detailed piece going around her neck. She wears black thong panties and a detailed red belt over them. She also has a thigh-length tattoo on her right leg, and sandals.
She is equipped with a meat shield and a mace, she easily wields one hand.
Risty, she was known.
She had been walking here for minutes now. She hated being in jungles, they were always too hot with too many weather problems and there were monkeys watching her every move from the trees.
She hates monkeys.
She wished she rather did something else than being trapped in the maze which it's getting off her nerves.
Risty stopped short as she heard a low whistle coming from somewhere nearby. She scans around her surroundings for any sign of movement. She saw nothing until a small form walked out of the trees and came to stand before her.
Rana reveals himself to her.
Risty raised a brow; she thought about fighting a wild beast or monster regardless of race but she wasn't expecting to be a boy. The question is why is he here?
'Whoa I never thought I was going to run into the Bandit of the Wilderness.' Rana thought.
'Do you know who she is?' His companion questioned within his mind.
'Everyone knows who she is. But I didn't get to see her in person but I knew of her.' Rana confirmed. 'She steals from the rich and gives to the poor. She's like Robin Hood, a female version of him.'
'Oh yes, now I remember him.' The Son of the Third seems to recall the story he read. 'I don't know much of the details of him but I do admire his talents and handiwork.'
'Yeah.' Rana sighs. 'It's a shame that we are to subjugate her. But regardless we found what we're looking for so I'll allow you to do it.'
'My pressure but just get close to her.'
Rana proceeded to walk up towards the bandit leader before stopping. Both humans stare at each other unable to say it word until the boy moves up a little to her.
"Are you real?" Risty finally spoke. "Or an Illusion?"
"Of course I'm real." Rana stops near her in front of her. "Don't believe me." He brought up his left gauntlet hand. "Touch my hand just in case you're not dreaming."
Risty looked at his hand before looking at him for a moment. She was suspicious of him before she hesitated to take his hand when noticing he had a black ring on his finger.
"Nice ring."
"Thanks." Rana said, singling his friend to do it now.
The Fourth Overlord then used this chance to have the thief dominate, he did it quickly as he could before she had the chance to react.
The Son of the Giant Killer took hand off of her watching, lowering herself down on her knees and bowed to him.
"I serve you now and I will steal for you." She swears her allegiance to him.
"Raise your hand and stand up please." Rana ordered.
"Lord." Risty stood up for her spot after lifting her head up.
'Now that we got the Indomitable Champion, who else is going to be on our list?' Rana asked moving away from her to go have Private conversation with his companion.
'We all need one more to go.' The Overlord replied as he appeared before him.
"Only one?" Rana questioned.
'Yes, you don't have to worry about the other targets such as the Queen of Amara, the elf mercenary you met long ago or Irma, a member of the Queen's death squad known as the Assassins of Fang. Few people even know that she exists but I doubt that you heard of her.'
"Did you-"
"I have." He confessed. "Rana, have you forgotten yesterday. Gnarl told you I have subjugated the three Individuals while borrowing your body while you were in your state."
"Right now, remember." Rana spoke upon remembering this back at the outpost almost forgot about it from the other day he couldn't be that stupid was he even listening? Yes, but he's just a kid.
"As a result we now have a full scale of followers at our disposal." The Fourth said this like a king would say. "This is near your goal which you know as revenge or a fool could not also forget about that."
'No way.' Rana shook his head before changing back to the main subject of their final target. 'Now back on track who is our final target.'
"An Angel." The Fourth Overlord answered.
'An Angel? What a minute.' It took him a bit shorter until his eyes widened in realization as he took a good guess. 'Nanael?'
'Yes.' He nodded.
'How do you plan on getting her?' Rana questioned. 'The queen's blade tournament it's over and dominating an Angel is a complicated task to do.'
'Oh I must agree with you.'
'How do you suppose we should-"
"Simple." He calmly interrupts him. "We do not have to find her, she will come out and find us." The former emperor looks over at the bandit leader from his shoulder. "She has the weakness of interfering, observing and wanting to start fights of her own free will and by fight I mean tournaments. If we can make one of our own it's like killing two birds in one stone." He evilly sneered.
Netherdeep…
"You're hosting a fighting tournament here in the Netherdeep?!" Gnarl felt he's in a world of excitement as he was told those words, he could nearly die upon hearing the news.
"That is correct." Rana said, resting upon his throne in the Halls of Villains. "But not here at the fighting arena. The Fourth Overlord told me there is one here before his downfall."
"Well there is but-"
"My Liege I must protest." Both occupants turn and are greeted by the sight of Mortis, the minion reaper walking towards the throne with his lord on it and his old friend standing beside it. "It is true for what the other master said to you we do indeed have an arena but it was taken and swarming by none other than…" he paused for a moment before he released the word. "Goblins." he spits at that name in hatred.
"Goblins?" Rana questioned, feeling his evil friend's rage burning inside him for he too despised the name and race.
"Goblins are our sworn enemies. Master." Gnarl explained. "They take what they want, steal whatever they want, they think we were their long lost brothers. I am not a brother to those damn greenskins! They always fight each other like we do and well the list goes on I don't want to bore you with details."
"Yeah I wouldn't do that." Rana said, telling his invisible companion to calm down his ghost blood. "How did the goblins get control of the arena?"
Mortis began to explain. "After the downfall of our master and his dark empire. The goblins came out of nowhere and started overwhelming us. We were surrounded, besieged, it was an invasion. It took twenty four hours to lose control of the arena, so we were forced to retreat. While they stayed behind and celebrated for our defeat and humiliation we vowed revenge for making fools out of us."
"How long was this?" Rana was curious to know.
"Many years ago but we can't say which number." Gnarl answered.
"I see… but I don't think what's the big deal, they're just goblins they are stupid not smart. I say we take back the arena and show those goblins not to underestimate us."
"I got no objections to this." The Fourth Overlord agreed, making his appearance.
"It's not the goblins we should worry about." The former blacksmith assistant put his attention to the blue reaper. "They have hobgoblins with them, goblin champions and one simple goblin paladin."
"That many? How bad is the damage, how many goblins we're talking about?" Rana questioned.
"One thousand of them." Mortis answered.
"And how many goblin heroes they have?" The Former Overlord also questioned. "You, previously, said."
The reaper begins to list out. "Twenty one hobgoblins, thirteen goblin champions and as I said before one goblin paladin."
Rana hummed. "Then we need to even the odds."
"My Lord If a may." They all turned to see Alleyne enter the hall room with many armored minions from different tribes behind her. "I believe I may have found a solution."
