Alright, so at the time of writing this, I decided to change the formatting of this story, so if you were here when the very first chapter was published, you can go ahead and skip down to the part you haven't read.

And now, reviews!

Goupix32: Thank you! I hope this story meets your expectations!

Mikan woke up on a desk in a classroom.

What...?

Where was she? And what was she doing asleep here just now?

Mikan slowly rose from her seat, her head still spinning a little. Collecting her thoughts, she tried to figure out what might have happened.

Okay, let's see...

She got herself so wound up, that she passed out in the main hall? And then someone carried her here? If that was true, that meant...

This was a classroom inside Hope's Peak.

Wait, but if that was true... That just raised more questions.

Decideing to look around the classroom for any answers, she came up short as all she saw was a TV monitor, a surveillance camera, and...some sort of metal sheet that had been bolted over the windows.

What the heck? This was all really strange...

Looking back at the desk she woke up on, Mikan noticed a paper that she had somehow missed when she woke up.

It looked like some sort of pamphlet with text on it that made it look like it was created by a child. Picking it up, Mikan read the contents:

"The next semester is about to start. Starting today, this school will be your entire world."

Mikan blinked. What the heck? Her entire world...? What could that possibly mean?

Everything felt...off. None of it made any sense...

What the heck was going on?

However, she didn't have a chance to ponder over that any further as her eyes darted towards the clock on the wall.

The time was 8:05.

Wait, it was just after seven when she first got here... Had it really been almost an hour since then?

And then, Mikan's heart practically leaped out of her chest as she realized... She was late for the meeting that was supposed to take place in the main hall five minutes ago.

And so, not wanting to disappoint her classmates even more than she most likely had, she ran out into the hallway.

It was pretty spacious; dozens of people could comfortably passed each other here. Though, no one else was around, oddly enough. And combined with the eerie lighting and bolted windows...

What was going on?

Mikan shook her head. No. She couldn't think about that right now. She had to get to the main hall ASAP.

And so, Mikan wandered around the hallway for longer than she would have liked, until she finally reached a large pair of double doors.

One of the doors was slightly ajar, so taking a deep breath, Mikan opened it to see what awaited her.

...

"Whoa, hey! Another new kid?"

"Huh?" Mikan blinked. "Oh! You're all...?"

"Yeah..." a very short guy wearing a pointed hat replied. "We're all new here. Today's supposed to be out first day of class."

"So, counting her, that makes sixteen," a purple-haired boy with a goatee commented. "Seems like a good cut-off point, but is this everyone?"

Standing before Mikan were the "Ultimate Students" that had been hand-picked by the school. She looked around at everyone who were gathered here, taking in their faces one at a time.

They all definitely seemed to have a sort of...aura, she supposed, that radiated from each of them.

Realizing they were all looking at her expectantly, Mikan bowed. "My name's M-Mikan Tsumiki. I'm so sorry that I'm late! Something happened, and then all of a sudden I was just...um, passed out?"

That last sentence seemed to send everyone in a flurry of panic.

"Whoa, you too?"

"Yeah, there's no way this is a coincidence."

"Hey, what the heck is going on?!"

"Everyone, just calm down!" a freckled redhead shouted. "Listen, why don't we all go around and introduce ourselves?"

"The hell!? Now's no time for friggin' introductions!" a tall and muscular guy with a pompadour interjected.

"Maybe, but it may be wise to at least find out who we all are before digging into the bigger problems here," a girl with grey braids and glasses pointed out. "After all, how are we even supposed to talk to each other if we do not know each other's names?"

"That's a good point..." Mikan agreed.

"Okay, so let's get introductions out of the way, then we can move on to whatever else. Sound good?" the freckled redhead asked.

Everyone else seemed to agree, as they all began to disperse and talk to each other.

But, to be honest, Mikan was still totally lost, but it would probably be best for her to just focus on getting to know each her classmates for now.
