Chapter 59

3 years have passed since the Eldia's conquer with Marley. The nations of the World Alliance incited by Willy Tybur's speech had tried to attack the Eldian Empire, however, with the power of the 12 Titans, the weapons used by the Eldian Army, and the small Rumbling, the World Alliance is no match for them and eventually they all surrender. However, instead of conquering the nations, the Eldia decides to negotiate with the nations.

For fear retaliation of from the nations who still want the Eldians to be dead, the people of Eldia raised their voices in unison. "If we win, we live. If we lose, we die. If we don't fight, we can't win. Fight. Fight."

Armin, Annie, Pieck, Jean, Connie, and surprisingly Reiner are chosen to be the ambassadors for the other nations, they are proposing trade and negotiations for the allied nations, and right now they are returning to Paradis Island.

"Armin, do you really think things will go well?" Annie is still showing concern for her husband. "To think that the same group who manages to destroy the other nations with war would serve as ambassadors of peace negotiations between them and the allied nations?"

Pieck says, "I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to sink this ship."

Armin says, "Annie, the conflict between people will never end. But if they see us all together like this, everyone would surely want to know what we expected. Why the very same people at each other's throats not so long ago are now coming together to Paradis, to appeal for peace? We must tell them the truth of that story which unfolded before our very eyes."

"You're right about that." Jean says. "Though I was surprised that you're willing to help us, Reiner."

Reiner says, "In fact, I was the one who wants to thank you for this opportunity."

"If anything, Eren and Aya should be the ones that you thank of." Connie says. "And it is also thanks to them that we can finally talk instead of fighting with each other all the time."

At the Reiss Farm, Gabi and Falco are now helping with the orphanage along with their friends Udo and Zofia. Gabi says, "Little Ymir is so cute, don't you think?"

Falco says, "Yeah... she is just like the Queen. Although it is a shame that because of the negotiations, the Queen couldn't have found some time to take a rest and take care of her."

As they continue to chat, on the other side, Peter and Kaya are watching the scene with Sasha, Levi, and Hange.

Kaya asks, "Connie is coming back today, right? Sasha?"

Sasha says, "Yeah. He has been doing a good job in negotiating, despite the old times."

Hange notices Levi and says, "You should smile more, Levi, aren't you happy to see the kids happy?"

Levi glares and says, "Shut up, Four-Eyes. But I have to admit. This is probably the best outcome."

Behind Levi, shadows of their deceased comrades of the Survey Corps are standing.

In the government, Odom, Zeke, Katrina, Mikasa, and Dina are working with the Queen. Odom says, "Today's the day when Armin and the others are coming back to the Paradis, right?"

Katrina says, "Yeah. Considering they've returned safely, the negotiations are probably going pretty well. Now that the whole world knows that only 9 Eldians are able to turn Titans, they have been trying to stop the hatred between two different races."

She also turns to Zeke and says, "And I'm still glad that we manage to lift the Curse of Ymir so that Big Brother Zeke can stay with us for longer."

Dina says, "Though it is a shame that we have to get the war first before we reach this negotiating phase."

Then the scene shows 6 different squads. The first is Garrison. After Pyxis retires, the one leading this squad is Floch, Katrina's husband. The Garrison has been the ones fixing the walls after the small Rumbling is done. The Survey Corps is still there, instead of going outside the walls for missions, they are the corps that goes with the ambassadors. The one leading the squad is still Commander Erwin, but he is thinking about retiring and wanting to give the position to Hange. The third one is the Military Police, which protects the people and also the government. After Nile's retirement, the one who leads the group is Hitch Dryse, who is Jean's wife.

The fourth squad is the Cadet Corps, which is the new training Corps, after Commandant Shadis' retirement, the leader that trains the new trainees are Peter, and instead of trianing how to fight Titans, he trains the trainees with the new weapons, ODM gear, and also using equipment like the Armored Train and the air forces. The fifth squad is the Marley squad. After the surrender of Marley, they decide to form a squad so it can protect the Marley territory from being attacked by the Allied nations, and surprisingly, Porco Galliard is the leader of the Squad. And finally, the Eldia Equal squad. They are formed to stop the conflicts between Eldians and other humans inside Marley Territory, and the leader of the squad is Colt Grice.

Each of the Squads is led by the Premier, during a war, a spy from the Allied Nations planted a bombing in Premier Zachary's seat and caused him to be dead, and since then the seat goes to Aya Neumann and Eren Yeager. Both of them are now leading the 6 Squads and they have been doing a good job.

Historia walks into the room with her military outfit, and she asks, "You guys have been working hard."

"Yeah, how did the meeting go?" Zeke asks.

"It goes pretty well." Historia says. "And I'm glad that they understand the hard work that we're doing."

"Though you should take a break, Ymir must've been worried about you." Mikasa says.

"I know. And I'm glad that Gabi and Falco want to help me take care of her." Historia says. "They are good kids, only they have been born in a worst time and worst place."

"That I can relate to." Dina sighs. "After we're done here, I say how about we all find Aya and Eren?"

"That sounds like a good idea." Katrina says.

In the forest close to Shiganshina, a house is set there. Aya is now sitting at the table while teaching Carla how to draw.

"Mama, how did it look? It's a butterfly!" Carla shows the picture of the butterfly, and Aya smiles, "You're good at drawing, it seems like you can be an artist in the future."

"But I want to be in the military like Papa and Mama." Carla says.

"Of course, you can do that as well." Aya smiles.

"We're back!" Erich rushes into the room with Eren coming behind him. All of them are having a lot of firewood on their backs.

"Welcome back, Erich, that's a lot of firewood, did you get them all by yourself?" Aya asks.

"Of course, I do." Erich says, proud of himself.

Aya chuckles as she pinches the ear, "Your ear is red, you must have your father help you out, right?"

Erich blushes and says, "No fair, Mama..."

Eren says, "Just let him be proud of himself, Aya. He's still a four-year-old kid."

"Yeah, and you're spoiling them too much." Aya says while hugging her husband. "By the way, today's the day when Armin and the others are coming back, right?"

"They've been gone for a month, I'm glad that the negotiations are doing well." Eren says. "And I'm also glad..."

Noticing Eren's frown, she asks, "Eren... are you thinking about the alternate memory again?"

"Yeah... every time, I have been dreaming of the times when we didn't change the Wall Titans and how I activated the Rumbling... not to mention the times I purposely hurt Armin and Mikasa... I'm glad that all of you guys manage to change the past and lead to this future." Eren says.

"And you get to live longer than 19 years as well." Aya says while giving Eren a kiss.

"No fair, I want Mama's kiss!" Carla says.

"Me too!" Erich says.

Eren teases, "Looks like you have to calm those two down."

"Why do they have to act just like you..." Aya sighs as she kisses both of them before the two children run upstairs.

"That's because they were also like you as well." Eren says as they walk out of the house. Watching the birds fly into the sky, Eren and Aya smile as they get what they want... Freedom.

Both of them are holding hands, and suddenly, they turn back to two 9-year-old children, with Aya still having black hair. Both of them turn to each other before walking forward.

And here is the final chapter of my story, I'm glad that I'm able to finish this.

Now my thoughts on the original manga, I must say that I really like Eren Yeager and the desire he wants to protect his friends and family. Though it is a shame that he doesn't get to live long because of the Rumbling and the fact that he wants to be a villain for the people he cares about. There are a lot of heartbreaking scenes in the manga and anime and a lot of plot twists that overwhelm me, such as how Reiner and Bertolt turned out to be the Armored and Colossal when I first read the story. And how Eren said that he's the same as them while attacking Marley, and how he finally activated the Founding Titan's powers.

Now you're wondering why I want to write an Attack on Titan fanfic, it is because after reading the original manga and the anime, I have been trying to find some fanfiction about it. I read some of them, but usually, the Eren and OC pairing ones are not that different from the manga, and the OC in the end would also become the ones who stopped Eren and the Rumbling. I really want to have a girl who understands Eren's true goals and supports him until the end. That's why I decide to create my OC Aya Neumann. As for the other 3 OCs: Katrina, Peter, and Odom, I just watch other fanfics with the OC Titans. The Weather Titan is because of a fanfic that talks about the Lightning Titan, and the other two are because of the Beast Titan. I was thinking why not have one with the marine animals and the sky animals?

As for why I decided to change the whole Season 4 plot, it is because I was thinking about the Attack Titan having the powers to see the future, but I also want to know if the future can be changed. Don't get me wrong, I really like the plot, but I also feel sorry for others as they don't understand what Eren is thinking until the very end. As for the ability of Aya to transfer Titan's abilities, it is because I want some people to stay alive, like Commander Erwin, Sasha, Dina Fritz, and so on. It breaks my heart to see Sasha killed by Gabi, that's why I try to make her the next Jaw Titan. And also, I feel like Annie didn't have that much screen time in the anime or the manga because of her being crystalized for four years, that's why I want Aya to take her powers so that she will have more action with Armin in the story.
