After a crazy day of fighting the demonically corrupted Emperor Belos and being thrown into the human realm to be safe from the power of the mighty, child-like entity, the Collector, Luz and her friends found themselves taking shelter in Luz's home in the town of Gravesfield. Everyone was currently asleep, albeit, having a hard time sleeping after everything they had just been through the previous night. But after a while, everyone was finally able to get a good night's sleep as they let the stress of their most-recent beating flow away.

Amity slept very well considering she was resting on such a comfortable bed, especially since she was sharing that bed with Luz. As for Willow, Hunter, and Gus on the other hand, they might've been on sleeping bags in the other room, but they were also enjoying their restful night's sleep. This was largely due to the fact that it was so quiet that whole night. Their new beds were so soft and comfortable and the silence in their new environment was so comforting and soothing to their minds that they almost never wanted to wake up. But, of course, they knew that wasn't going to last.

Pretty soon, it was dawn in the town of Gravesfield as the sun was close to rising. The four witches in the Noceda household were still sleeping soundly wondering when they would wake up to the annoying sounds made by the crazed demons that walk their streets at night, like they usually would in their realm. But, to their great surprise, those awful noises never came, reminding them of their current situation.

Amity was the first one of them to notice this. Instead of waking up to the vexatious noises of beasts screeching in the morning, or the annoying voice of her mother telling her to get up and dressed for school like a "proper blight," Amity was greeted with the much more pleasant sounds of birds chirping. Unlike the sounds of the former, Amity wasn't bothered in the least bit by these sudden noises as she felt herself awakening from her sleep much more tranquilly than usual.

Luz was also on the verge of waking up. She slowly opened her eyes and was greeted with the sight of her awesome girlfriend opening her eyes and looking at her as well. Luz gave Amity a nice smile, which the purple-haired witch returned, and was the first one of them to rise up from the bed.

"Good morning, Amity." Luz greeted with a yawn. She then started stretching and rubbing the drowsiness from her eyes as Amity rose from the bed along with her.

"Morning, Luz." Amity greeted back before sitting up on the edge of the bed and doing her own morning stretches.

"Did you have a good sleep?" Luz asked, sitting next to Amity on the bed.

"Yeah. It was one of the most peaceful nights I've ever had." Amity responded. "Is it always this quiet at night here in the human realm?"

"Pretty much, as long as there's nothing making any noise." Luz answered. Luz then stood up to continue her morning stretches. "Come on, Amity. Let's go wake the others."

Amity followed Luz as they left the room to check on their other three friends, making sure to walk nice and softly to avoid making any noises on the floor. But not before noticing that their Basilisk roommate, Vee, was still asleep. "Hey Vee." Luz quietly called, making her slowly open her eyes to notice them leaving. "Aren't you going to come with us and wake our friends up?" Luz asked.

"No, it's okay, Luz." Vee answered. "I'll just stay here and sleep a bit longer. You guys go on ahead." Vee yawned before going back to sleep.

"Okay. Let's go Amity." Luz said as she and her girlfriend resumed their way to the guest bedroom.

Once they made it to the guest bedroom, Luz and Amity gently opened the door to see Hunter, Willow and Gus still lying in their sleeping bags. Just like Amity, they were slowly stirring awake from their peaceful night's sleep. Willow was the first one to open her eyes and roll herself awake, followed by Gus and then Hunter.

"Good morning you guys!" Luz said, drawing their attention. "I hope you all slept well."

"Morning Luz." Willow said with a yawn. "I slept great." Willow started stretching as she got up from her sleeping bag.

"Me too. I slept like a baby rat-worm." Gus agreed with joy.

"Same here." Hunter added.

"That was one of the best night sleeps I've ever had." Gus said. But then, he heard a sound coming from outside, a sound that he had never heard before, but for some reason, it seemed to bring him great peace. "But, Luz. What's all that noise coming from outside?" Gus asked.

"That's just the birds chirping, Gus." Luz answered. "They always make their chirping sounds in the morning. It's a great way to greet the day."

"It sounds so nice." Willow commented, listening to the birds and loving the sound of their voices as Gus agreed with a nod.

"Yeah. Usually, we're used to hearing demons screeching at night. And all we ever get first thing in the morning is the sound of Slither Beasts groaning or Griffins hacking up spiders. It's the worst." Gus said with a frown.

"Or even worse than that..." Willow began. "Having to listen to Hooty's ramblings in the morning." Everyone cringed uncomfortably at Willow's comment as they all shared the same feelings about Eda's house demon.

Luz happily sighed as she walked behind them and put her hands on Gus and Willow's shoulders. "I know guys. Don't worry, here in the human world, you won't have to deal with any of that stuff." Luz said, making everyone smile again. "Now, come on everyone. Let's head to the living room."

"Why do we need to go to the living room now?" Hunter asked.

"There's something you guys should all see." Luz began. "You've already been through a night here in on earth, now it's time for you to see what's great about the mornings here." Everyone seemed puzzled by Luz's reply and just shrugged it off as they followed her to the living room.

Once they were all gathered in the living room, everyone looked around to see what Luz was talking about. But some of them just yawned as they were pretty tired since it was still so early in the morning. It wasn't even 7 o'clock yet. "So, what are we here to see, Luz?" Gus asked.

Luz then lead everyone to the window. "That." Luz said, pointing out the living room window. Gus, Willow, Hunter, and Amity walked up to the window and saw the direction Luz pointed her finger in. She was pointing up at an angle and they all finally saw what their human companion was referring to.

They all gasped in awe as they saw the sky brightening up. It steadily changed its color from pitch black to a fine shade of orange, with a touch of blue in the background. Soon enough, they saw one of the most beautiful things they had ever seen, the sun rising up from the darkness.

As the sun rose in the distance, its light began to shine over the entire town, illuminating the darkness and allowing Luz's magical friends to see the rest of her neighborhood in a new light. Hunter, Willow, Amity, and Gus watched the sunrise and gasped in awe at how breathtaking it was. They then covered their eyes once its light shined through the window nearly blinding them, but that didn't stop them from enjoying it.

"Wow. Luz, what is that?" Amity asked.

"That's the sun, Amity." Luz answered.

"Son? Who's son is it?" Gus asked, making Luz giggle at his misunderstanding.

"No Gus. Not that kind of sun." Luz clarified with a chuckle. "The sun is like a giant ball of fire up in the sky above the earth. It provides life-giving light and warmth for the whole world. And once the morning comes, that's when it rises up in the sky and brightens up the world to start the new day." Some of them understood Luz's explanation, but Gus was still a little bit confused by what she said.

"That's why I woke you guys up so early." Luz began. "It's always great to watch the morning sunrise. And I figured that since you guys don't have anything like it in the Demon Realm, I thought it would help all of you feel better after what happened. So guys, what do you think?"

The four young witches didn't know what to say to that. Once the glare died down, they all got another look at the sun and couldn't believe how beautiful it was. "Luz, it's...it's amazing." Willow marveled.

"I'll say. I've never seen anything like it. Do mornings in the human realm always start out with the sun rising over the hills?" Gus asked.

"Of course, Gus. That's what happens every day here." Luz replied. "I'm so glad you all could see this with me."

"So am I, Luz." Amity said. "It's so beautiful." She sighed. "I wish my family could be here to see this with me."

"Me too." Willow agreed.

"Me three." Gus added as well before the three of them looked down with sad expressions. Hunter, on the other hand, didn't reciprocate their feelings. He could understand why they felt so down, but he didn't completely understand how they felt.

"So, what now, Luz?" Hunter asked, turning back too Luz.

"My mom is going to wake up in a few minutes. Once she does, we'll all have a nice breakfast." Luz said. She then closed the curtains, much to everyone's disappointment. "Sorry guys, but we can't have anyone seeing you through the window right now. Now then, let's all get ready for the day. Come on."

The four of them followed Luz as she lead them back upstairs towards the bathroom. "My mom won't be happy if we show up to breakfast without cleaning up first."

"Cleaning up?" Hunter asked, confused.

"You mean we need to clean up the house before breakfast?" Gus asked. "That seems like a pretty harsh punishment."

Once again, Luz was amused by Gus' ignorance of what she said. "I meant clean ourselves up, Gus." Luz corrected again, causing young Augustus to blush in embarrassment. "Let me be a little bit more clear with some of you guys. First thing in the morning, we humans like to clean our faces off after a good night's sleep. And this is how it's done."

Luz lead everyone into the bathroom and picked up her toothbrush. "First lesson of the human world, hygiene. Gus, I hope you're paying attention." Luz said with a smirk.

"You bet, Professor Luz!" Gus said, earning a wink from Luz.

"Now then you guys. Here's what we do first." Luz prepared to elaborate by pointing to her toothbrush in her hand. "After you wake up in the human realm, the first thing you do is brush your teeth." She explained.

"Why do we need to brush our teeth?" Willow asked.

"Your teeth need constant maintenance and your breath always smells bad in the morning before you brush them." Luz explained. "This is a toothbrush, you guys. It's what you use to clean your teeth in the morning." Luz then picked up a toothpaste tube. "And this is the toothpaste. All you have to do is squeeze it and put a little bit of toothpaste on top of the toothbrush."

Luz squeezed the toothpaste onto her toothbrush and everyone looked at the little drop of paste on the brush like it was a gem. "Oooh!" They all said, marveling at the paste.

"Now, here is how you brush your teeth." Luz gestured for everyone to come closer and watch how she did it. She put the brush in her mouth and her friends, especially Gus, carefully observed her brush around every surface of her teeth. Luz brushed along the outside, the inside, and the top of her top and bottom rows of teeth. Willow and Amity were impressed by how well she did it, but also, slightly disgusted by Luz showing them the inside of her mouth covered in paste, whereas, Gus and Hunter were amazed by the intricacy in her brush strokes.

Luz then filled the cup on the sink with water, put it in her mouth and her friends watched her swish the water in her mouth and then gargle it before spitting it into the sink. "And that is how we humans brush our teeth." Luz concluded. "The last step in our morning rituals is washing our faces off. Your eyes can get really crusty while you're sleeping so you've gotta wash your face in the morning and get all of that crust off. It's easy."

Luz poured some water into her hands and splashed it into her face to clean herself up. "Wa-la!" She exclaimed after drying her face with a towel. "And that is how humans clean themselves up in the morning."

"Wow, Luz. That was...pretty cool." Willow said nervously. "All we do to get ready in the morning is use Bard magic to wake ourselves up."

"Yeah, but that looks like a much cleaner way to wake up." Gus said.

"Thanks guys. Okay, it's your turn. Everybody brush before breakfast. My mom demands it." Luz said.

"Do we really have to?" Hunter asked. "It seems pretty tedious."

"Yes you have too, Hunter." Luz answered. "Human teeth need constant care and if you neglect your dental hygiene, it can cause you some major pain. Believe me, I know what that's like."

"When you put it that way..." Hunter said. "Okay fine. I'll go first." Hunter grabbed another toothbrush and a toothpaste tube, but he wasn't sure how to get the toothpaste out of it. So Luz had to do it for him and put his fingers over the back of the tube. She squeezed his fingers on it and poured a small drop of paste onto his brush. He hesitated at first but then tried to copy what Luz did, with a few mistakes in some places, but he managed to get it all done.

"Willow, you're up next." Luz commanded and Willow complied by doing exactly what she did. "Oh, and before I forget you guys, this is kind of a private thing we humans do. One person in the bathroom at a time. Everyone clear out." Luz instructed and moved everyone else out of the bathroom, leaving Willow alone to brush her teeth.

The Plant witch tried to imitate what Luz did and easily maneuvered her toothbrush everywhere in her mouth. Willow then rinsed and spit her water into the sink and took off her glasses to wash her face off. Once she was done, Willow looked at herself in the mirror and smiled, suddenly feeling shocked and then amazed at her new white teeth. Willow then exited the bathroom and allowed Gus to go next.

"Okay. This shouldn't be too hard. I mean, come on. It's just a traditional human ritual, how hard could it be?" Gus said as he attempted to squeeze the toothpaste out of the tube. However, he appeared to have some difficulty with it as the toothpaste wouldn't come out of it. "Come on." Gus said, growing frustrated.

"Gus, everything alright in there?" Luz asked.

"Uhh, I'm fine, Luz. Just having a little bit of-" Gus struggled until Luz opened the door and saw him shaking the tube. Gus grinned nervously before Luz took the tube from him and easily squeezed it onto his brush.

"Relax, Gus. Sometimes these things can be stubborn." Luz said, helping Gus to calm down a bit. "Squeeze it from the bottom of the tube. Okay?" Gus nodded and Luz left him alone to brush his teeth. But then, once Gus got to the rinsing part, he tried to gargle the water in his mouth like Luz did, only to choke and start coughing on it. Luz heard his coughs and gave Gus a quick smack on the back, causing him to spit the water out.

"Whoa. Thanks, Luz." Gus said.

"No problem, Gus. You don't have to gargle it all the time. Just swish it in your mouth and spit it out."

"I'll remember that next time." Gus said. After finishing his routine, all that was left was Amity.

"You're up, Amity." Luz said. Amity nodded and then got into the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror and saw how badly scarred she was after their fight with Belos the other day. The purple-haired witch proceeded to brush her teeth and had little trouble with it. She then washed off her face and was quite surprised at how good she felt after that.

"Ahh. I have to admit, that felt good." Amity said, exiting the bathroom. "I feel so refreshed now. This must be what it's like for humans everyday."

"Pretty much." Luz said. "Okay everyone, now that we're all clean, it's time to eat." The five of them went back downstairs along with the now awoken Vee and were greeted by a most-pleasant aroma once they re-entered the living room.

"Mhm. What's that smell?" Willow asked, catching a scent that made her smile. "It smells almost like Griffin eggs back home, but...better."

"I smell it too." Gus added. "Wow, is that a human perfume?"

"No, it's my mom making breakfast." Luz clarified. "Come on, guys. You're going to love human food." Luz walked ahead while everyone else just stood by the stairs in confusion.

"Human food?" Hunter asked with uncertainty.

"I've never tasted human food before." Amity said. "Maybe it won't be so bad. After all, we've been eating living plants and demon meat in the Boiling Aisles. Let's give it a shot. I'm up for it."

"Us too!" Willow and Gus said in unison. Hunter shrugged as they all followed Luz to the kitchen and saw the spread that Camila had made for them on the table.

Camila was just cooking on the stove and then looked back to her daughter and her friends all wide awake. "Buenos dias, niños!" Camila cheerfully greeted the six of them. "Did everyone sleep well last night?" She asked.

"We slept great, Mom." Luz answered. "And don't worry, we all brushed."

"That's wonderful, mija." Camila replied. "Now then, who wants breakfast!?" She said in a sing-song voice that everyone found pleasant. They all looked at the food on the table and couldn't believe how good it looked. "I got up extra early to make something nice for your friends, Luz. I hope you all like it."

Hunter, Willow, Gus, and Amity looked at the food and were shocked to see that it didn't look like anything they've ever eaten in the Demon Realm. On the table were pancakes, sizzling bacon, sausages, fruit, and even eggs that were hard boiled, scrambled, and even sunny-side up. Luz and Vee immediately took their seats at the table while the others continued to stand by and stare dumbfoundedly at the spread, much to Camila's confusion.

"Kids?" Camila said, catching their attention. "It's okay. Go ahead and eat. You all must be so hungry."

"Well, okay. If you insist." Willow said. "Come on guys, let's not stand around. I'm starving." Willow took her seat at the table next to Luz, followed by Gus and Amity. Hunter was still hesitant until Camila nodded at him with a friendly smile. He then joined them as well and they all greatly enjoyed their breakfast feast. As Luz enjoyed her breakfast, Willow and Gus took a bite of their pancakes and were amazed by how delicious they tasted. Amity loved hers too, along with the eggs and orange juice that came with it. Even Hunter was shocked by the wonderful taste of the bacon.

As everyone enjoyed their breakfast, Camila couldn't help but look with joy at them. She was happy to have her real daughter back home, but seeing her with so many friends her age made it even better. She always wanted Luz to make some friends, but she didn't expect them to be so different from her and her daughter. Even so, the widow mother was happy to see that her only daughter finally made some new friends whether they were human or not.

Unfortunately, Camila couldn't enjoy it any longer once she saw the time. It was almost 8 o'clock in the morning and she remembered that she still had to go to work. "Oh my. I have to go now, niños." Camila said, getting her purse together.

"Go? Where are you going, Mrs. Noceda?" Gus asked.

"I have to work today." Camila answered. "I'll be back later this afternoon. I hope you all enjoy your breakfast."

"Enjoy it? It's some of the best food I've ever tasted!" Willow exclaimed.

"I can't remember the last time I had anything this delicious. Thank you so much, Mrs. Noceda." Gus said.

"You're welcome everyone. I'm happy you all like it." Camila said as she walked upstairs to get dressed, leaving everyone to enjoy their breakfast alone.

"Your mom is so nice, Luz." Willow commented.

"Thanks, Willow." Luz said.

"I agree." Amity said before finishing her orange juice. "I wish my mother was that nice and caring."

"Hey, don't worry, Amity." Luz patted Amity on the shoulder. "Maybe when we get back to the Demon Realm, your mom will be a different person. She might just be so happy to see you that she'll do anything to get back on your good side."

"You really think so, Luz?" Amity asked.

"Who knows? It could happen."

"I had no idea human food was so good!" Gus said. "It's better than the cafeteria food at Hexside, that's for sure."

"What is this thing called again, Luz?" Hunter asked, holding up a sausage with his fork.

"That's a sausage, Hunter. It's supposed to be loaded with protein. It makes for a good part of a balanced breakfast." Luz answered.

As Camila came back downstairs all dressed in her work outfit, she took one last look at the children. "I'm leaving now everyone. I'll be late today because I'll be shopping at the store to make dinner for all of you."

"Okay mom. Have fun." Luz replied.

"You too, sweetie. Have fun everyone." Camila said, but wasn't ready to leave just yet. "Oh, and one more thing. After you all are finished with breakfast, I want those dishes nice and clean. And Luz, you and Vee are in charge while I'm gone. Make sure your friends stay out of trouble and keep them under control. No one is aloud to leave the house without my permission and if any of you do leave the house, Luz has to stay with you." Camila instructed.

"We understand, mom. Don't worry. We won't cause any trouble." Luz replied.

"Okay. Bye everyone." Camila then left out the front door and everyone finished their breakfast afterwards. Like she commanded, Luz and Vee went to wash the dishes and made sure everything was all cleaned. After that, everyone just sat in the living room feeling full from all of the food they ate, but they had no regrets since they felt it was worth it to taste foods that they had never tasted before.

"Ugh, I think I ate too much." Gus groaned. "How are you guys holding up?"

"I am so full." Willow said, patting her stomach. "Who would've guessed that we'd get to like human food so much?"

"I know. If only the food at the palace was that good. So, what do we do now?" Hunter asked.

"Not much we can do, Hunter." Luz said as she and Vee finished washing the dishes. "Right now, we have to lay low and stay here until we come up with a plan for how to get you guys home. So for the time-being, we'll all just stay in here and relax for the day. After all, we still need to recover from last night."

Gus was not sure if he was going to agree with Luz's plan to stay inside."Stay inside? Come on, Luz. That's no fun. I say we go out and explore the wonders of the human realm!" Gus exclaimed with passion.

"Sorry, Gus. But I'm afraid that's out of the question." Luz countered, causing Gus to shift his mood from passionate to disappointed. "Like my mom said you guys, we have to stay out of sight. Nobody is aloud to leave this house."

"Luz is right, Gus." Willow agreed. "Besides, it's not like we can really blend in with humans."

"Sure we can, Willow. All we have to do is keep our witch ears hidden. It's easy. See!" Gus emphasized his point by using his illusion magic to make his pointy ears look round like Luz's. But Luz wasn't convinced and shook her head in disagreement.

"Gus, that's not going to work." Luz countered again, resulting in the return of Gus' disappointment as he undid his illusion.

"Oh come on, Luz!" Gus complained. "Don't you remember? I was the president of the Human Appreciation Society at school, so I think I should know how to blend in with humans. I know all about human customs."

"Gus." Luz tried to talk to the supposed 'expert' on humans, but Gus just continued to rant about how much he knew about the human realm.

"I mean, look at this! I can tell this is definitely a little safe house for when it gets too hot outside. There's even snow in it." Gus held up a snow globe which seemed to impress Hunter, but not the others. "What I still don't know is how human get inside it."

"Gus." Luz said again, growing annoyed.

"And-and how about this? I bet I know what this is for." Gus said, picking up a pen. "It's a back scratcher, isn't it? Yeah, it's totally a back scratcher."

"Gus!" Luz facepalmed at Gus' ignorance.

"And this!" Gus ran towards the television set in the living room. "This magic box with little people inside. And when you use the magic wand here...," Gus picked up the remote and skimmed the channels. "...it can instantly transform their souls into the form of someone else. I just want to know how they get inside the box to begin with. Is there an entrance anywhere on it?" Gus then looked around the TV set for this supposed 'entrance' and found nothing.

"GUS!" Luz shouted, finally grabbing his attention. "You're not a human expert!" Getting that out of her system, Luz sighed with regret as she saw the hurt look on Gus's face. "Sorry, Gus. Didn't mean to yell, but, that's the truth."

"So, you're saying I'm...a novice when it comes to knowing about humans?" Gus asked with pain in his voice.

Luz sighed again before wrapping her arm around his shoulder for comfort. "I didn't mean it like that, Gus. I'm really sorry for snapping at you like that."

"It's okay. I kind of figured I might've been wrong about all of that stuff anyway." Gus sighed before Luz pulled him into a hug. "Maybe you're right, Luz." Gus returned Luz's hug. "I guess I'm not much of an expert after all."

"It's okay, Gus. While you're here, you can learn to be one." Luz said. Her encouraging words seemed to help make Gus feel better as she released him from the hug. "Look, the other witches at Hexside might think of you as an expert, but to real humans, you'd be more of a tourist. You have a lot to learn about humans and I'm going to help you."

"Thanks, Luz." Gus replied. "You're right. It's not safe for us to go outside yet. So, I guess we'll just stay in here for now."

"That's the spirt, buddy!" Luz said, patting him on the back. She then turned back to others and asked Gus to sit down with them. "Now guys, while you're here, you'll all be guests in our house. But that doesn't mean you won't have to pull your own weight around here."

"You mean, we'll have to do chores?" Amity asked.

"Kind of. For now, let's all just relax and enjoy this nice day inside. We've all had a pretty rough time given everything we just went through before coming here." Everyone decided to agree with Luz and realized that they were still feeling some pain after getting pushed through the portal yesterday. "We can explore the human world later, Gus. Right now, it's time to kick back and take it easy."

The four witches did as Luz said and remained inside her house. They all went about their day like normal humans would. Gus, for starters, explored the basement, fascinated by all of the mundane objects that humans would always see as trivial, insignificant things. Hunter joined a while later with the same kind of intrigue in all of the knick knacks that Luz and her mother kept in the basement.

"Look at all of this amazing human stuff, Hunter!" Gus said passionately. He was covered in minor accessories while digging through some old boxes. "I can't believe humans have so many awesome things to offer."

"Uh, Gus." Hunter said amusingly. "I think it's just called stuff here. And you know, from the way Luz was so unimpressed by some of it upstairs, I'm thinking it's all not that big of a deal to humans."

"Maybe, but we don't have anything like this in the Demon Realm." Gus countered. "If I could bring the Human Appreciation Society here, their minds would be blown!" Hunter was shocked by the way Augustus said he would 'blow everyone's minds'.

"Why would you want to blow everyone's heads up, Gus!?" He asked in shock. "Are you a murderer or something?!"

"No, Hunter. Luz told me that's a human expression." Gus clarified. "Sometimes humans don't always say what they mean. They prefer to use simple figures of speech to sound cool." Hunter seemed to understand but he wasn't convinced yet. "You know, 'blow your mind'. I think it means like to amaze someone with something they've never seen before."

"Oh, I get it. I think." Hunter said with a nervous blush.

While the boys were looking through the basement, some of the others were enjoying their day upstairs. Luz began by teaching Amity and Willow a little more about her world, starting with how humans relax in front of the television. However, it wasn't going to be easy to explain how it worked to witches who have never seen anything done with technology before. Luz, Amity, Willow, and Vee just sat on the couch watching TV like nothing was wrong. Vee seemed to understand it since she had more experience, but Willow and Amity were very perplexed by seeing moving pictures on what they called "the magic box".

"So Luz, how do those people get inside of that box?" Amity asked, much to Luz's amusement. "And how do we get them out? Should we break it open?" Amity prepared to summon an Abomination to break the TV until Luz stopped her. She knew her mother wouldn't like it if she came home to find their TV broken, that was for sure.

"No Amity." Luz said. "It's not a "magic box" and there are no little people inside it."

"Really?" Willow asked. "Then, how does it even work like that?"

"It's hard to explain you guys. Look, I know you guys are still new to the human realm, but please. Try to keep yourselves calm. Nothing here is like it is in the Boiling Aisles."

"That's the problem, Luz." Amity replied. "We don't know anything about your world and Gus isn't really much of an expert either."

"I know, Amity. That's why we're going to take it nice and slow." Luz said. "I know I had it rough when I first came to your world but at least Eda and King were there to help guide me. So, I'm going to help all of you understand my world. And the first thing you need to know about the human realm is that there is no magic in it. Don't forget that. Okay?" Luz instructed.

Amity and Willow seemed to understand what Luz was talking about. "There's really no magic at all here in the human realm?" Willow asked.

"Nope. Things work differently here. And if you guys don't want to be seen as witches, then you'll need to learn a lot before you can go out in public." Luz answered. "For now, let's just watch some TV and try to enjoy ourselves. And to be clear, there are absolutely 'no' little people trapped inside it."

"Okay, I get it. No little people." Willow understood, as did Amity. "So, how does it actually work, Luz?" Luz wasn't sure how she could explain it to the plant witch, so she thought it might be best to teach them about the television later.

"Actually Willow, I'm not sure you'll understand yet. Maybe we should do something else to pass the time. Do you guys feel like reading?" Luz suggested. Amity felt that that would be better for her since reading was something she knew the Demon Realm also had. She then left the couch and grabbed one of the books in the living room to read at the dining table.

Luz sighed in relief thinking she dodged a bullet. However, she still had to deal with Willow. She wasn't sure about what to teach her until Willow saw the houseplant she saw in their house the previous night. She walked up to it and became intrigued by how it looked so different from the plants in the Demon Realm. Seeing this, Luz came up with the perfect thing to teach Willow.

"Willow, how would you like to learn about how humans take care of their plants?" Luz asked and Willow's eyes sparkled with interest. She then took Willow to the dining room where she showed her some of the potted plants in the windowsill.

"So these are human plants?" Willow asked. Luz nodded and Willow observed the flowers in front of her. They were so colorful and beautiful, not like the bigger and much more dangerous plants in the Plant Magic homeroom at Hexside.

"That's right, Willow. Human plants aren't alive like the plants at Hexside and we don't use magic to make them grow fast. We just water them regularly and make sure they get plenty of sunlight." Luz explained. She emphasized her point by taking a cup of water from the sink and poured on the flowers, leaving Willow amazed by such simple gardening techniques.

Willow was so amazed at what she was seeing, as was Amity. As the youngest Blight read through the book she had, a magazine to be exact, she was greeted with images of very interesting things that she had never seen before. Motorcycles, lava lamps, and even clothes that she could never find at home. As far as Luz knew, everyone was currently enjoying the new sights in the human realm and she hoped it would stay as mellow as it is now. However, she knew it wouldn't last for long and had to make plans for things to come.

Hello everyone. I hope you're liking how this story is progressing so far. I'm planning on making up plenty of chapters like this with how they are fairing in the human realm. But now, after I see the Season 3 premiere of the Owl House, "Thanks to Them", I've been planning to do it somewhat differently that how that episode played out. It won't be exactly like it and it might just go farther than the timeline of that episode, so I'll try to make it interesting. If you have any suggestions for new stories, please let me know. Enjoy the story!
