"Well?" Inuyasha pressed,
"It's fine; you should go,"
"I still ain't going, for what?"
"You are second to the throne till I sire pups,"
Kagome definitely wanted to bolt. Miroku stood. "Maybe we should let the brothers talk," He helped Sango up. "Kagome, are you coming?"
She nodded and followed Miroku and Sango to a nearby hut, leaving the brothers and their mates.
"Really, Sesshomaru," Inuyasha huffed,
"Do you wish to suffer through winter?"
"Like you give a fuck, Sesshomaru,"
Inuyasha looked at Kikyo,
"Your friends may also join,"
"They don't wanna come to the West,"
"They would rather suffer hardship through winter?"
"We want to stay near Kagome," Kikyo pointed out,
"She is welcomed in the West," The demoness stated,
Inuyasha grabbed Kikyo's hand and turned from his brother and began to walk away "That's cruel even for you, Sesshomaru,"
Harrue looked at Sesshomaru. "Did you learn anything, my Lord?"
He looked down at her. "She is angry with me,"
One thing he knew for sure, her friends did not tell her that they told him of that he was sure.
But he was keeping secrets too. Not seeing hints was vastly different than not seeing a truth that was staring you right in the face,
Fools.
But this just gave him more time. This may prove entertaining.
"Are you ok?" Miroku asked,
"Fine," Kagome said as she shook her bedding out. But she knew that night she would cry. Thinking of him mated was hard enough; thinking of him being a father brought a whole need feeling to the mix.
They would make beautiful, powerful pups.
"Can you believe him," Inuyasha asked Kikyo as they entered.
"It is not uncommon, Inuyasha," Miroku spoke, getting ready to lie down.
"Maybe for a normal family, we hate each other, remember,"
"Hate is a strong word," Kagome said, putting her legs under her blanket.
"You really taking his side?"
She shrugged, and he jumped, getting in her face. "What does that mean,"
"It took a lot to come here and ask you that,"
"You're just saying that because you like him,"
"Sit," She said flatly, and he fell; she moved her legs just in time,
"Kagome!" He wined; Kikyo hid her smile behind her sleeve,
"Dont tease!" Kagome snapped,
"Do you hear yourself!"
"It's the truth!"
"So you want us to go?"
"You, he needs you,"
"He invited all of us," He pulled himself up and sat on his butt.
"He did?" Sango asked, looking shocked,
"Yeah, said we are all welcome,"
"Interesting," Miroku rubbed his chin,
"He has changed Inuyasha,"
"Yeah, he's mated,"
The group sighed and braced for it,
"Sit!"
Down he went, "I dont need the reminder!" She lay down and turned away from her friends.
"Enough, Inuyasha; let us sleep and talk about it tomorrow,"
Inuyasha took his place against the wall and watched the humans feel asleep. Well, all but one. He could hear her heart, smell her tears.
"You really think I should," He whispered,
"You have a place Inuyasha, a reason, and he is offering it to you. Wouldn't it be nice not to fight, be hungry and cold,"
"We dont need him for all that,"
But she wanted it from him.
