The sun is setting on a breezy day. Wind blowing through a young boy with Raven colored hair as sat on a bench with his trusty companion, Shar the Cydiquil. Chomping on some puffins, sweetest treats in Furon city, the two happily enjoyed their food. Unaware of the peering eyes of a familiar face. Looking up to see a young girl with scarlet colored hair walking up to them with a golden furred Charmander, named Steve. The young boy rolled his eyes noticing his friend as he reached into his bag and pulled out the last poffen he had.

"Where have you been? The last couple of gyms were a doozie. Didn't know if we were gonna make it out of the fire gym since we were pretty much dead even. We only won with a clutch fire blast at the end there." The Raven haired boy said as the young girl sat next to him taking the poffen, a warm breaded treat.

"I had trouble with the earth gym in Carthone town. Spent a couple days there training just to make it out of there without a scratch. How'd a fire blast work? Isn't that a fire type move, wouldn't it not be effective?" Said the Scarlet haired girl before taking a bite of the poffen. Smiling ear to ear with how delicious it was, giving a piece to Steve.

"Yeah, but I had already withered it down with a headbut using it to get the knockout. Anyway I haven't had any luck catching any pokemon for the Pokedex that the professor gave us. I've only collected thirty five so far. Got a ways before it's all filled out.Although, I haven't really found another pokemon to add to the team yet. Have you had any luck?"

"I haven't caught any pokemon, just been dealing with tons of Team Aqua and Magma chasing me down. I haven't even had the chance to meet up with my dad either. Since he's been in Daytona city at a conference."

While they were chatting it up two people were keeping an eye on them. Trying to find a good time to engage them, and snagg that golden charmander. Pulling down her team Rocket hat down she got ready to attack but was stopped by the boy she was with wearing a Team Magma bandana. Telling him to wait a little while longer as the two that they were watching had gotten up from the bench. Heading for the Pokecenter nearby they walked in.

"Shouldn't we have attacked them before they went in? While they are off guard? I don't know why you stopped me. We could've taken them right there." Said the girl wearing the Team Rocket outfit.

"Obviously you weren't paying attention. They were sitting in a very central location. Plus it seems like they are going to take on the gym in this town. We can just wait till they get out of the gym and attack them when they are most vulnerable. Did they teach you guys nothing at Team Rocket base? At least Team Magma teaches some type of common sense." Said the boy wearing a Team Magma headband and matching shirt with shorts.

"Don't you bad mouth Team Rocket. I'll have you know we are still the best Team in this region and don't you forget it. Our leader is even a gym leader. What does Team magma got under their belt, huh? You accidentally pissed off the wrong legendary pokemon and started a cataclysmic event. Oooo so scary."

The boy with the Team Magma bandanna looked uninterested as he went back to watching for their prey.

"Oh and by the way I've got a friend who is also a gym leader. Ruby was your name, well don't act all high and mighty, okay."

Shrugging him off, the girl in the Team Rocket outfit decided to plant her cheeks on the ground next to him. Waiting for a while the two that they were watching.

Jumping out of the bushes and running up on the two that just walked out of the Gym. Their pokemon sweating as they raised their gym badges high.

"Stop right there, stare in fear as Team Rocket is Here!"

"Do you really have to say that stupid speach everytime we sneak up on someone. It kinda defeats the point of the surprise." Sighed the Guy with the Team Magma bandanna.

"What do you guys want? Haven't we dealt with you guys enough?" Alyssa grunted as she got ready for a battle. Steve stood ready, the fire on his tail stirring.

"Don't back sass us young girl. We are here to take that charmander off your hands." Said the girl in Team Rocket outfit.

"Not without a fight, so let's get it started. Go Shar!" Said the Raven haired boy as Shar jumped off his shoulders.

Sending out a Tirtwig with a pikachu the Two grunts stood firm against Shar and Steve. Pikachu used volt tackle on Shar. Hitting Shar with and paralyzing her. Shar tried to retaliate with a headbut but couldn't move. Steve used ember on the Tiritwig doing huge amounts of damage. Tiritwig used earthquake and landed a big hit on both Shar and Steve. Knocking Shar out and leaving Steve very weak. With one more volt tackle from pikachu, Steve was knocked out too.

After knocking out Steve the girl in the Team Rocket outfit captured him with a net as Shar was returned to her pokeball.

"See ya never losers. Ooo we, the boss is gonna be thrilled." Said Ruby the one in the Team Rocket outfit as they ran off.

"Don't worry Lyss. We will get Steve back before anything bad happens to him. I know someone who should be able to help us out. In the mean time you're gonna need another pokemon. So you have any?" Asked the Raven haired boy still feeling the sting of his first defeat. .

"I think I have a few, lets hurry to the Pokeccenter."
