Silence… that was the only thing heard through the arena as shunsei collapsed face-first onto the ground after the match barely started. With Baki standing over him looking as relaxed as ever.

Two seconds was all it took for the so-called invincible beast to fall prey to the youngest hanma's fangs.

"Wait… it's over?"

"Did you see what happened?"

"No! He just fell!?"

"What the hell man! I thought he was a famous underground fighter. I placed all my money on him."

The murmurs and complaints of the crowd went unheard as the winner of the shortest match in the Raitai's history turned to walk away as the gong sounded, the referee announcing him as the winner of the match.

Yujiro and Jack stood by the entrance to the arena, Yujiro high-fiving Baki as he walked past him only for Jack to put him in a head look while ruffling his hair.

"*whistle* damn bro talk about disrespect and here I thought he didn't have it in you haha"

Baki just took it with a smile, he and Jack walked down the corridor until they met with the rest of the team Ali and Jaku respectively who clapped when they saw him.

Jaku didn't waste a second as he grabbed Baki's hand and started shaking it "Baki that was awesome true remarkable".

Jack just gave him a knowing look as Jaku had the biggest smile on his face "I knew it.. you can lead the young boys back in Japan".

To say that Baki was confused as hell would be an understatement as Jaku kept hounding him all the while Jack was watching on with amusement.

'He needs to watch what he is saying. It could be taken wildly out of context, even if his heart is at the right place trying to recruit great fighters for his..wait a fucking minute'

"Jaku …" hearing his name the man stopped trying to recruit Baki for a second as everyone paid attention to Jack Baki taking his chance to get out of Jaku's grip and take a step back as he saw the look on Jack's face.

"How come you didn't try to recruit me…."

"?!"

"Oh…well I.. you see," Jaku tried to string together an answer as the shadow of Jack started covering him and a heavy pair of hands were placed on his shoulders.

"You wouldn't happen to think I was weak, would you? Because we could correct that right Now, " Now if Jaku wasn't worried before he was now officially in full panic mood as he started looking around for help from the other two as a grin found its place on Jack's face.

The two who just happened to gain a keen interest in design as they started to look around the room admiring every corner to avoid his gaze.

Baki knew exactly what that grin meant, his wallet was still hurting from the last time he saw it as he gave a silent prayer for Jaku sake and Ali in rare moments of wisdom on his part choosing to follow in Baki's example.

Seeing that no help was coming Jaku made a prayer, gathered his wits and gave his best attempt to come out of this in one piece.

"Well, you see It's just that I teach non-lethal methods of self-defence and you specialise in brute force it's not that I think your weak at all" If Jaku was looking he would have seen Baki wince at that as he knew from experience that Jaku just dug himself deeper in.

"Oh so you are saying that I'm too dumb to teach them anything so You don't want to waste money on me huh" Jaku felt the atmosphere around him get heavier as he felt every breath was getting harder to take than the last.

While Jaku was working his brain harder than a man being questioned by his wife, Yujiro happened to walk into the room as he saw the situation, raising an eyebrow he turned to Baki with a questioning look to see him just shaking his head.

He looked back at them and when he saw the grin on Jack's face he gave a knowing look and smiled in amusement, choosing to just sit back and watch the show leaning back on a wall and folding his arms.

"No no not at all you're extremely smart I would be happy to have you as a business partner having more connections is never bad…"

The pressure that Jaku was feeling was almost unbearable, immediately disappeared. As if it wasn't there, to begin with, Jack just gave him a slight smile "oh if that's the case we can all go out for dinner after this is over your treat of course, okay?"

Jaku just numbingly nodded as Jack patted him on the shoulder before stretching his arms upwards "well I'm a bit thirsty so I will go ahead and get some drinks for all of us."

Jack walked out of the room with a satisfied smile on his face after securing himself a free meal leaving Jaku holding his chest as he felt his heart thumping like a war drum he only snapped out of it when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"What just happened?" He turned to ask Baki who had his hand on his shoulder only for Yujiro to answer him with a smile "you just invited us all for dinner".

"But…I.." Baki squeezed his shoulder lightly reassuring him "Don't worry you will survive but your wallet is another story.."
