The Battle for Halloween part 3

With that, the third group of Keyblade wielders were on their way

Confident that they'll help save the day

Meanwhile, after the six uninvited guests ruined his fun

Nexus is determined to make sure to get the job done…

Nexus yelled in frustration as he saw three more uninvited guests arrived outside the Egyptian Tomb room via the Waters of Foresight. This was starting to get out of hand. How can he restore Halloween back to the way it's suppose to be with these Keyblade losers in the way? He swore someone had figured out his plan and sent them here to Earth but who?"

Nexus swallowed in fear when he thought of one person who could've sent the Keyblade wielders to the mansion.

His former master Yen Sid.

They didn't part on good terms seeing as Nexus was banished for dabbling in dark magic. Force to finish his training on his own. True, he's not an official sorcerer but he didn't care. When he has a vision he sees it through to the end no matter what. Even if it means hurting people or using them in his plans. This night will never end thanks to a Time Stopping spell he placed after sunset so Nexus wasn't worried about any of his other spells breaking before he can get the girls' blood. The blood of a pure heart is the only way to make things permanent. The true vision of Halloween permanent for all of Earth to enjoy for eternity.

Nexus waved his hand and dispelled the images on the waters' surface.

"I don't care who sent these Keyblade masters, I will stop them and make sure nothing stands in the way of my plans. I've come to far to quit now."

Nexus walked over to the desk next to the shelf of potion/spell ingredients and open a book which rested beside the cauldron. He skimmed through a few pages before his found what he was looking for.

"This will do nicely."

Meanwhile, Axel, Roxas and Xion appeared in a dimly lit hallway with a door in front of them.

"Is this the right place?" Roxas asked.

He and Xion have never been to Earth before. Axel nodded as he summoned his Keyblade. He has heard of Earth but only visited a few times when he was a Nobody to search for a certain lazy member who'll do anything to get out of work. Axel frowned as he remembered how hard it was getting his slacker coworker back to the World That Never Was and didn't have much time to see why he always came to this world. It wasn't anything special. There wasn't much magic and it was boring. Axel eyes widen in realization. Maybe that's the reason why. In hopes to avoid getting caught if no one saw them. A good reason why this Nexus character set up shop here. Funny how I found this world in the first place Axel thought as he placed a hand on the doorknob.

"You guys ready?" Axel asked.

Roxas and Xion summoned their own Keyblades and nodded.

"Let's go."

Axel opened the door and walked in with his friends in tow.

"Ah, three new arrivals."

The door behind the Sea Salt trio slammed shut and was covered by a black mist. The Keyblade wielders backed away in fear of touching it. In the centre of the room a cloaked figure appeared along with a funny looking statue.

"I didn't think the party was that popular."

"Are you Nexus?" Axel asked.

The figure lowered the hood to reveal his skeletal face. Axel hoped it was make up but it looked so real.

"Yes, I'm Nexus. Sorcerer of the twenty-first century."

"Joker of the twenty-first century more like." Roxas said under his breath.

"Where's our friends."

"Somewhere in the mansion." Nexus answered.

"But can you find them in time?"

"What do you mean?" Xion asked.

The strange statue moved and waved it's staff. A huge dome appeared and trapped the Sea Salt trio. Nexus teleported inside a second later.

"Good work, Shiriki Utundu."

"This trap is not going to hold us." Axel said.

"True." Nexus said as he pulled out a small purple smoke bomb.

"But this will."

Nexus threw the smoke bomb towards the three Keyblade wielders and exit the dome. It exploded and covered them in a purple mist. Roxas sneezed before asking.

"What was that stuff?"

"You'll find out so enough." Nexus said.

The trios' vision went blurry as the mist took effect. Nexus and the statue like creature called Shiriki Utundu disappeared before they too breathed in the cursed vapours.

Axel

The former fire starter groaned before rubbing his right temple. What hit me? He wondered. It hurt when he opened his eyes. He was laying on hard pavement of a courtyard that looked familiar.

"Radiant Garden?" He wondered.

"How did I get here?"

"Who are you?"

Axel looked up to see a familiar face. It was Isa but he thought he went to get Master Yen Sid.

"Isa?" Axel said as he got to his feet.

"What are you doing here?"

"I lived here all my life." Isa answered.

"Now who are you?"

Axel was confused. Isa should know who his friends are. Axel always made sure everyone knows who he is. Maybe his famous line will jog Isa's memory.

"I'm Lea, got it memorized?"

Isa was a little offended but shook it off.

"Ok, Lea." Isa said.

"Why were you sleeping on the ground? You hit your head or something?"

Axel swallowed as he felt his heart pick up speed.

What's going on?

Roxas

Roxas rubbed his temples as he sat up. He waited until his vision cleared to see he was back his old room. The room back at the castle in The World That Never Was.

He was a Nobody again?

Roxas checked his pulse. He couldn't find one. How did he lose his heart?

Roxas got up and went to the door. He opened it to see a blue haired man with a 'X' scar on his face.

"Isa?"

'Isa" cocked his head.

"I'm Saix, Roxas." 'Isa' said.

"Are you well enough for todays' solo mission?"

Roxas was confused. He was always partnered with someone for missions because he was the only one who can wield the Keyblade. Well, he and Xi…

"What about Xion?" Roxas asked.

"Can't I fight Heartless with her?"

"Xion is gone." Saix answered emotionlessly.

"Along with Axel."

Roxas's eyes widen. No, it can't be he just talked to them recently. How are they gone?

Xion

Xion gritted her teeth until the pain subsided. Her head pounded like someone hit her hard with a rock. What happened? She opened her eyes to see she was laying on a stone bridge. It looked familiar and wondered if she fought Heartless on it before. She was unable to recall any memory of past missions when she felt something rush pass her.

"Get up!"

Xion grimaced. That voice sound familiar. Like back when she was with Organization 13. Xion sat up to see Isa looking at her with emotionless eyes and his Claymore in his right hand. No, that's not Isa. Xion thought. It was Saix. He was a Nobody again. But how?

"Get up, fake!" Saix ordered.

Xion felt hurt. The only time she was called that was when…No! Not again!

Real World

Nexus watched the Sea Salt trio fell under the sway of the Fear Inducing Spell from the Waters of Foresight.

"You see, Shiriki Utundu." He said to the animated statue.

"My best work yet."

"But the spell will be broken when they realized it's not real." Shiriki Utundu said.

"It's also weak."

"They'll never figure it out." Nexus said.

"I made it long lasting. They'll die from fright leaving me to complete my plan."

Axel

"Come on, Isa." Axel said.

"We've known each other for years."

"I'm sorry, I don't know you." Isa said.

"You're not well known here and that silly phrase."

"What phrase?"

Isa blinked.

"Um…remember that?"

"Ha! Got yah!"

Axel summoned his Keyblade.

"You're not Isa."

"So you found me out." 'Isa' said.

'Isa' turned into a black shade.

"Now die."

"You first!"

Light energy shot out of the tip of the Keyblade and hit the shade in the shoulder. The creature hissed in pain as he slowly faded away.

"You stopped me." The shade said.

"But you can't save the others."

"Watch me!" Axel shot back as his vision went blurry.

A few seconds later, Axel shook his head. His vision cleared to see he was back trapped in the room in the mansion on Earth. He couldn't relax just yet. He saw his friends Xion and Roxas fighting each other. Keyblades armed and their eyes glowing purple. They're under the effects of the powder. Axel thought.

"Roxas! Xion! Snap out of it!" Axel said as he stood in between the two.

Roxas growled and rise his Keyblade.

"Where are my friends?" Roxas said.

"I'm not a fake!" Xion yelled.

"And neither's my Keyblade!"

'Where are my friends? Fake? Oh no!"

Axel realized what's going on. He remembered the times they've hung out on the clock tower at Twilight Town eating sea salt ice cream bars and talking. They were hit with a hallucinogenic spell that brought their fears to the surface.

"He was trying to get us to kill each other!" Axel growled as he kept Roxas and Xion from fighting.

"What a dirty trick! I'm not going to have fun with this!"

Roxas

"What do you mean they're gone?" Roxas asked.

"I mean they're gone." Saix said.

"Gone where?"

"They lost against the Heartless."

"Lair!"

Roxas summoned his Keyblade and hit Saix hard on the head.

"Now tell me…what?"

Roxas when he saw Saix blurred and turned black and misty.

"Who are you?"

"Fear itself." The shade answered.

"And you just defeated me."

Roxas gritted his teeth and closed his eyes as his vision went fuzzy. He opened his eyes to see Axel holding his right shoulder.

"Great! You're back." Axel said as he released his grip and focus on Xion.

"Back? What?"

Roxas looked around to see he was back in the strange room.

"How?"

"No time to explain." Axel said as he held Xion back. Who was still under the influence of the spell.

"I'm not a fake!"

"A fake?" Roxas said confused.

"Ok, there's some time to explain."

Xion

"Stop calling me a fake!" Xion yelled as she blocked an attack with her Keyblade.

"I'm not a fake!"

"You are a fake." Saix said.

"A puppet, a replica use to help get more hearts. So Kingdom Hearts can be complete."

Xions' eyes widen. Saix didn't say that before. He kept saying he wanting a heart of his own and Kingdom Hearts was sealed by Sora months ago. Xion rise her Keyblade and fired a beam of light at Saix. Saix blocked the attack with his Claymore but it wasn't enough. The beam cut through the weapon and hit Saix in the neck. He screamed and fell to the ground. Xion run over to see Saix turn into a black shade.

"Good job." The shade said as he disappeared.

"You win."

Xion shut her eyes as her vision went black and she felt like she was spinning. She opened her eyes to see Axel holding her shoulders and Roxas standing beside her.

"Welcome back, Xion." Axel said as he release her.

"What just happened?"

"Nexus hit us with a spell that forced us to face our fears." Roxas said.

"Now that we free, we need to break this dome…"

The dome cracked and disappeared.

"Or not."

"I'm wondering if he was stalling." Axel said as he summon his Keyblade.

"Stalling?" Xion asked.

"What for?"

"I don't know." Roxas said as he summoned his Keyblade.

"But it has something to do with King Mickey and that girl Riku mentioned. Let's go."

Xion nodded and summoned her Keyblade before following the others to the exit in front of them.

Nexus yelled as he saw his spell had failed to stop the Keyblade wielders.

"They defeated the possessed party goers, their inner demons and their own fears. How? What do they have that I don't?"

Nexus waved his hand and dispelled the images on the Waters of Foresight.

"Enough is enough! It's time to get them together and deal with them all in one single sweep. While taking the girls' blood in the process."
