The Okron Tournament (Currently under process of being remade!)

Vote-fic and spin-off of the UVR. After 3 years, The Megamix Dome is bought and re-opened, and with it a new tournament begins. Over 400 fighters will compete, and the ones who hold the keys to determine the winner are you, the viewers.

32. An Update

Hello, readers, this is Roxas-Raine, formerly Grey_Raine, although just Roxas is fine. So, you're probably wondering where the story is? I'm here to quell those worries and maybe build a little hope, because I have some news of this Okron Tournament, and it's technically not good.

See, when I started this back in 2020, I had fun! I enjoyed it! But, I don't know, as time went on, I just felt more and more dissatisfied with how it turned out, and with more characters and games being announced for a few of the nodes. It became clear that it was starting to get outdated.

Not to mention, the story was getting a bit too convoluted and hard to follow, with so many characters getting introduced every section, restricting others screentime, no lie, it kind of was turning into a mess.

Overall, I'd say it was good for what it was, an attempt to create a resurgence in the UVR spin-off genre. But, when compared to what has come before and after it, it definitely falls flat on quite a number of levels.

So, with a heavy heart, I must say that I'm discontinuing this incarnation of the Okron Tournament...

However, I intend to create a new Okron Tournament, with a bigger cast, and with a few tweaks to the format of the old one. This one, I hope to have rise phoenix-like from the ashes of this one.
