Chapter 29- Reunion and a Gift
The elderly, 89-year-old (not 81-year-old, sorry) hedgehog looked back at his grandson, tears in his eyes. He smiles. His grandson, Mario the Sonic Plush, the son of his daughter Lara, is now the Prince of all Equestria, as he officially ascended.
"Mario…my grandson. I can't believe it's you!" he exclaimed,
Mario the Sonic Plush runs to hug his grandfather.
"I've missed you." the Prince said,
"I missed you, my boy. You have grown a lot from the last time I saw you." he said,
MTSP moves away from the hug.
Zarkiar rolls his eyes under his mask.
Twilight, Eliza, Kit, Rarity, and Trixie all smile.
"Well. Guys. I want you to meet my grandfather. My mom's father, Sonic. Grandpa Sonic as I call him. Grandpa, these are my two girlfriends Twilight & Rarity. My rival Kit, who is Eliza's boyfriend. You already know Trixie, my cousin from my father's side and my best friend Eliza." said MTSP introducing his grandpa to his friends & girlfriends.
"Hello. It's nice to meet you." said Twilight
"Yeah. Same here." said Rarity
"It's nice to meet you. I have heard so much about you two. My grandson has two wonderful girlfriends that take great care of him and I am glad for that!" said Grandpa Sonic
"Thank you!" said both Twilight and Rarity.
"Hehe. Of course." said Grandpa Sonic
Kit crosses his arms. He doesn't say anything.
Eliza looks at him with a pout on her face.
Finally, Kit utters something.
"Hey. Excuse me for asking a really dumb question but are you the elderly version of Sonic the Hedgehog?" asked Kit,
Grandpa Sonic laughs.
"No, kiddo. I'm not Sonic the Hedgehog. However, I was named after him. When I was born in nineteen thirty one, my parents named me after Sonic because he was such a great hero during the First World War. He and his friends who all survived got a second chance at life." said Grandpa Sonic
"Oh! That makes more sense." said Kit
Mario the Sonic Plush stands there, in shock.
"Sonic the Hedgehog is my ancestor? Wait a second. Me and Grandpa look so much like Sonic the Hedgehog! Holy crap. It all makes sense. Why did I not put two and two together? I am Sonic's descendant! Unbelievable!" MTSP thought,
Zarkiar faces Grandpa Sonic II
"So, you are that fool Mario the Sonic Plush's grandfather huh? You must have been proud of how pathetic he is." said Lord Zarkiar,
Sonic the Second scowls at Lord Zarkiar.
The elderly hedgehog points a knife towards him and almost through his chest.
"I have heard all about you. Needless to say, I am not impressed. You have been hurting my grandson for god knows how long and I am here to finish you off!" Sonic II said, in anger,
Lord Zarkiar laughs.
"Go ahead. Try me." said Zarkiar,
Zarkiar removes the knife from his metallic chest, slapping it off with his hand, and then grabs the knife. He points it towards Sonic the Second
"Will both of you save the fighting for later?! Grandpa, we need Zarkiar to help to stop Sombra, Chrysalis and the changelings. Lord Zarkiar, just stop being a dick just this once!" shouted MTSP,
"Oh. Ok. I understand." said Sonic II,
Zarkiar nods.
"Say, how did you survive anyways? "asked Twilight,
"Yeah. We thought you were a goner. How did you get away?" asked Rarity
"Hmph. It's a long story but I minus well tell anyways." said Lord Zarkiar,
*flashback*
"Goodbye, Zarkiar!" yelled out MTSP.
"Insane Hyper Chaos!" MTSP and Twilight said together "BOOM!"
"No. This won't be the end of ME YET! Next time, Rodriguz, your girlfriend and your friends, I will get my revenge..." said Lord Zarkiar, in a little quiet tone, growling.
MTSP, Twilight, "Shadow" Flynn, Eliza, Pinkie, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity and Atirik all launch the blast at Lord Zarkiar.
Lord Zarkiar then screams as he is about to disintegrate. "Nooooooooooooo! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
Lord Zarkiar suddenly vanishes.
"Mario and Twilight's big attack should have been the end of me. But I was spared. Someone was restoring me." narrated Zarkiar,
Doctor Busch sees Zarkiar, all bloodied and torn, all his army men as well. A horrified look appears on Doctor's Busch's face wondering who could have done that to his boss and his boss's army men. He teleports all of them and himself back to the Dark Palace to restore them to full health.
*In the Dark Palace, Siberia*
*Lord Zarkiar, unmasked, now with an eyepatch on his right eye, awakes in a Recuperation tank, and sees Doctor Busch*
"You must get your revenge for what they have done to you, boss. You shall very well do that." said Doctor Busch, holding Zarkiar's restored suit.
Zarkiar kicks himself out of the tank, and slips on his restored suit, which even includes his mask. Zarkiar smirks.
"It was a miracle. It's simple. I can get my revenge on you all, and you will never be heard from again. Fate had other plans however, especially when we are going up against King Sombra, the changelings and Queen Chrysalis. Sombra... That name makes my blood boil" narrated Zarkiar.
A few days earlier…
"Zarkiar, you may have been restored to full health and revived, but you still can't stop them. I can! You will soon kneel down to your king. King Sombra!" Sombra said.
Sombra runs to choke Zarkiar and laughs.
Zarkiar growls and escapes from Sombra's grasp, running off quickly before Sombra could get closer.
*Flashback ends*
"This is what made me want to team up to stop them. I will admit. It'll be fun seeing Sombra get owned." said Zarkiar.
"Wow. That's sick." Twilight smirked.
"Right?!" exclaimed Trixie,
MTSP rolls his eyes.
"Um, hello! Are we talking about the same guy here?! He isn't any better by any means. Lord Zarkiar is the lowlife madman who has been chasing me and trying to kill me since I was six! 6 years old! We are lucky that he did not kill us." said MTSP,
"True, true." said Twilight
Sonic the second coughs.
"Achem."
Kit looks at him.
Sonic the second looks at Kit and pulls him aside.
"I believe I know how you can communicate with your parent's spirits." said Sonic II
Kit is shocked.
"Talk to my parents' spirits? How?" asked Kit,
"Follow me...," said Sonic II.
MTSP, Zarkiar, Eliza, Twilight, Rarity, and Trixie just stand there while Sonic the second and Kit leave for a bit so Kit can talk to the spirits of his deceased parents.
Kit and Sonic the Second end up at the arctic north where the Crystal Empire resides.
Kit asks the grandfather of his rival a question.
"So. Did you know my parents? I mean, by the way you said it, it sounds like you know them." said Kit,
Sonic the second smiles.
"Yes…I knew them. In fact, me and your father have gone way back. Enzio and I were best friends. We hung out all the time. Enzio was a little younger than I was but that did not matter. We would always do everything together. He brought his wife, your mother, one day. I was lucky enough to have met her. What a sweet woman. One day, we had a date night in the seventies. I brought my wife Keri, Mario's grandmother with me while your father brought your mother. We went to see Star Wars. It was the best time we have had together. You would have loved your parents. I miss them terribly. If only they did not get murdered by that horrible gang, they would still be alive today." said Sonic II,
"I would have loved to have met them in person. My parents sounded like amazing people." Kit said.
Tears come down from Kit's eyes. He grits his teeth in anger. Anger that he never got to know his biological parents. Angry to find out they were sweet, innocent people who were murdered, because he never got to know them. Anger at the people responsible for their deaths. He clenches his fists.
He wanted them dead! Kit Whitfield the Fox (he stopped going by Greenwood because of what his fake parents did to him) doesn't care. He wants to kill the people that were responsible for their deaths.
Sonic the second claps his hands together. He squeezes them and closes his eyes.
"Now, close your eyes and clap your hands together to squeeze them. Their spirits will appear." said Sonic II
Kit nods. He does exactly that.
His eyes are closed. His hands are squeezed together.
Two ghostly figures appeared. They are of Kit's father, Enzio, who is an older, darker, black fox and Kit's mother, Yumi, a dark orange fox who looks a bit like a female Kit. They both look like they are in their late 50s to 60s, the ages they died at.
Kit opens his eyes and puts his hands down. He was shocked that it had worked. He's able to see his parents. Their spirits. He finally gets to meet them.
"Kit, my son." said Enzio
"It's so good to see you, again. You look all grown up and handsome." said Yumi.
Tears come down from Kit's eyes again. He runs up to hug the spirits of both his parents. He can truly not feel the hug truly because they are still both dead, but he can feel some warmth that his biological parents have given him. His true parents. Not his fake parents who never loved him, that his birth certificate was edited to include. They are the parents that should have been kept on Kit's birth certificate all along.
"Mom, Dad…it's good to see you again too." said Kit
Yumi hugs Kit back, like every good mother should.
Enzio pats Kit on the shoulder.
Even more tears came down Kit's eyes. He gritted his teeth and growled.
"I wish you guys weren't killed. We could have been a happy family. I could have had a better life. A better childhood. I refuse to call Frankie and Ursula my parents, especially after finding out the hard way that I wasn't related to them at all. Now I know why they abused me so badly, because they knew I wasn't their child in the first place. To them, I was a burden that they had to take care of. They didn't want me.
They were never my parents to begin with. The revised birth certificate lied. That fool Sweet allowed it to happen and always blindly believed everything was fine. How pathetic." said Kit
"We actually knew about the horrible things Frankie and Ursula did to you. It was the biggest mistake Sweet ever made. They were horrible people and I hate Sweet for not only putting you with them, but also changing your birth certificate so our names were erased and replaced with theirs! They didn't even deserve a sweet fox boy like you as their child! We couldn't even do anything to stop them because we were dead and still are!" yelled out Enzio
"We are sorry we weren't there to do much to help." said Yumi
"Oh, Dad. Mom. You tried to defend me…I am sorry for ever doubting you two when Anti-Mario told me. You were good people, unlike the shit parents I had to grow up with. It's not your fault that you two died. The horrible gang did this to you and they must pay! I will also get my revenge on Frankie and Ursula in their rotting jail cell for what they had done! I will try my hardest to avenge you two!" said Kit
Enzio smiles.
"That's my son."
Yumi smiles too.
"No, he's, our son."
Kit smiles
"Hey, Mom and Dad. I have another thing to talk about. I have a girlfriend now who is destined to be my soulmate. Her name is Eliza. She's half-vampire and we have so much in common. We even both like PlayStation and both of us want revenge. How cool is that?!" said Kit
"You have a girlfriend? Oh. We are so sorry that we did not get to see you grow up. You have already grown up so much without us. I hate it." said Yumi
"Me too." said Enzio
Kit nods, agreeing with them. He also hates it that he didn't get to really know his real parents and grow up with them. He would have been much happier with them that way.
"May we meet her?" asked Enzio,
"You can!" said Kit,
Meanwhile, MTSP, Twilight, Eliza, Zarkiar, Trixie and Rarity see Kit interact with the spirits of his parents.
"Eliza, you can go meet them. His parents deserve to see you." said Twilight
Eliza smiles. She wants to meet the two who have given birth to Kit. Her wonderful edgy boyfriend.
"I'll teleport you over there." said Twilight,
Twilight hugs Eliza. She uses her horn to teleport Eliza over to where Sonic II, Kit and his parents are.
Twilight and Eliza reach the location where the spirits of Kit's parents are.
"Have fun." Twilight said, with a smirk.
Twilight teleports back to the others.
Eliza goes over to Kit and hugs him.
"Oh yeah, Mom, Dad. Meet my girlfriend, Eliza." said Kit
Eliza looks at them.
"H-hi…" said Eliza, a little shy. She's nervous to be approaching Kit's biological parents for the first time.
"Eliza, how wonderful it is to finally meet you. I am glad you captured our son's heart. Who's her parents? We would like to meet them! Oh yeah, and when is my son going to get married? I want that to happen so badly!" said Yumi, beginning to tease the two.
"MOM! Let's not rush it!" Kit blushed, in embarrassment,
"Of course. Take your time as you please." said Yumi, with a smile,
"Also, I do not think it's a good idea for you two to meet my parents. My mom won't mind, she loves Kit to pieces and is happy with whoever I choose as long as they treat me nicely, but my dad, on the other hand, dislikes Kit. He hates him so much and thinks he's hurting me, even though there is no proof whatsoever of that. Count Darkling Drac, my vampire father, is a hard guy to deal with. You seriously don't want to meet him. I can't even believe he and my mom married. He'll probably shout at Kit's dad every chance he would get." said Eliza,
"We're sorry to hear that." said Enzio,
"Yeah. Darkling is a nice man but boy is he scary. Then again, he's a vampire so what do you expect? Kelly, Eliza's mom, is much more understanding of me." said Kit,
Enzio and Yumi nod.
They decide to give Kit a gift.
"Kit, we must go but before we depart, we have a gift for you." said Yumi,
"Really? What is it?" asked Kit,
"You'll see.." said Yumi
Enzio puts his hand on Kit's forehead. Kit is granted some new powers. He is glowing in darkness. Kit's fur turns from red orange to black for a few minutes. Fiery aura is around him.
Kit's color is back to normal.
"What's that?" asked Kit,
"It appears you have been granted a new transformation. Call it "Dark Fire Kit". You can shoot fire from your hands at whatever bad guys you come across and burn them to death. You can also create wonderful attacks with it. This is our gift to you. I believe you deserve it, thanks to your maturity and growth. It will help you in the long run, especially when you get your revenge." said Enzio.
Kit smirks.
"T-thank you. It means a lot." said Kit,
"You're welcome. Now, we must go." said Enzio,
"Yeah. Until we meet again, goodbye. We love you." said Yumi,
Enzio and Yumi hug both Kit and Eliza. Both hug him back.
Their spirits begin to vanish into thin air.
"No! Mom! Dad! Come back! We need you!" yelled Kit.
Kit sheds out a few tears. You can see the sadness in Kit's eyes.
Kit's parents vanished. They are sent back to the afterlife. The only thing that's left is just where the Crystal Empire resides
Eliza turns to hug Kit tighter.
"Kit, it's going to be okay. I promise." said Eliza
Kit angrily glares at Eliza
"How can you be so sure? What if worse events happen and we have no choice but to surrender?" asked Kit
"It won't. If the worst happens, we will be prepared for it. Honest." said Eliza
Kit nods.

Kit, Eliza and Sonic the Second are back to where MTSP, Twilight, Trixie, Rarity and Lord Zarkiar are.
"How did it go?" asked MTSP,
"My parents were nice people. They didn't deserve to get killed by that gang. I swear, I'll get my revenge." said Kit
"I am sorry to hear that." said MTSP, "I know how you feel. My grandmother, Keri, was killed too. Same goes for my Aunt Beatrix & Uncle Erin. I was devastated over all their deaths especially since they all did not deserve to die the way they did. It's even more horrible losing your parents."
"I ain't alone in this at least." said Kit
Rarity and Trixie hug Kit.
"We are sorry to hear about this. I can't even imagine losing my own parents." said Rarity
"Hey, I know exactly how you feel, Kit. My parents were also unjustly murdered and died when they shouldn't have. I offer my condolences." said Trixie
Twilight pats Kit on his shoulder and cries with him.
"Thanks…," said Kit
A powerful force is heard. A familiar face is heard. A nasally voice speaks
"I think I am going to steal money, hehe..."
MTSP, Twilight, Eliza, Trixie, and Rarity are in shock.
"Anti-Mario?!"
Sonic the Second, Lord Zarkiar and Kit are confused.

King Sombra sits back on a throne in the Crystal Empire. He holds Flurry Heart hostage.
"What kind of monster are you?! Why are you doing this?! Tell me!" yelled Flurry,
Sombra clutches onto the crystal heart and shatters it into pieces.
"They will all be my slaves. With the Crystal heart in my possession, there is nothing to stop me from ruling the Crystal Empire." said Sombra, "Kneel before me."
"Long live, the King!"
Queen Chrysalis and the changelings surround him. They all agree and sympathize with Sombra.
Princess Cadance and Shining Armor are trapped inside sticky webs which was obviously the work of Chrysalis.
The Changeling queen simply blushes.
Sombra laughs manically.
