It has been a while hasn't it. Now while I've still been getting informed about people following this story and the new one, Tamers Adventure. I still feel I should explain myself.

So, I'm sure you know, I was supposed to write down story summaries to explain what was going to happen next in the story, I only did two before disappearing for years. I do have a few reasons for this which I'll go over.

The first and biggest reason was a severe lack of motivation, with comics being a priority and this story just becoming less and less enjoyable for me to write about, I couldn't find myself the time and energy to do it, especially for what was getting fewer responses, especially compared to my comics, because for those who don't know, I'm a comic artist on DeviantART, been so for 15 years, and that's always been my primary focus.

Another reason is honestly, and plain and simple, I began to forget what was supposed to happen next, I had a script for it, but I lost it when transferring files years ago, so without that, nor being able to recollect what I was planning, I honestly couldn't give you a story summery, because I completely forgot everything about it. Lame I know, but that's what years of not doing something will do. And for that I apologise.

Finally, Digimon was becoming a lot less interesting and exciting for me, so I left the fan base for years. That was until I picked up Digimon Survive a few months ago. Now to be frank, game's not great, story's fine, but gameplay was meh. But it began to spark my love for the series, and for the past few months, I became a hard core Digimon fan again, I'm almost obsessed with the series now, been also playing Cyber Sleuth in my free time.

It also reminded me of how important the series was to me, as it helped shaped a lot of things I would do in future, without realising it.

So, what's going to be happening. Well, if you're following me and not just Rika's AU, you'll know I have a new fanfiction called Tamers Adventure, which is designed to essentially be the cast from Tamers, in a setting more akin to Adventure and Frontier.

So, the truth is, it was intended to be a side thing for practise as while I couldn't continue making the summaries for Rika's AU, I had every intention of remaking the story. Redoing the story but fleshing out a lot more, clarifying on some things better and try to make the romance last longer in the story and not just the first quarter.

But as I reread it and wrote down what I had intended to redo. I began to think long and hard, and the honest truth is that I wasn't satisfied with the original story anymore, I didn't like it and I didn't like the idea of redoing the story with better writing, and that's when it clicked for me.

I decided that Tamers Adventure is going to be the remake to Rika's AU, while it sports a completely different story, it's a remake in spirit. I already mentioned this at the end of Chapter 2 of Tamers Adventure, but this is for those who haven't read it yet.

So yeah, I'm gonna try and work on it when I can, but I can't guarantee a consistent schedule, especially since both chapters so far were twelve-thousand words long. But I do have ways of helping me and expanding it in a unique way.

I have a few discontinued fanfictions, Mushroom Kingdom Chronicles and The Butterfly Effect to be exact. Both failed due to too much work on them and a severe lack of interest. So, I'm planning to take the chapters from both of them and rework them into Tamers Adventure. There are even some chapters of Rika's AU I intend to redo in the remake too. So this will help me in the long run.

Now I guess there's a few questions that'll be asked so I'll answer what I think most will ask.

Are my OCs going to be in this remake? Jessica and VEX I have every intention of bringing them back, the Grand Tamers I'm not sure about yet, and if I plan to bring Thomas back, he will be changed drastically, since he was a self-insert and a Mary-sue I think, and an edge-lord, and honestly, just the thought of that character being based on me made me cringe like all hell.

Will Data Streamers return? No, they will not. Data Streamers were designed to be a substitute for Digi-Modify cards as well as offering a twist to the formula, but it got to a point where the humans could fight without their Digimon, and they were turning into One Piece characters, which I'm sure people noticed with the Duelling with Discord Chapters. I do have a planned replacement for them that'll be like the Digi-Modify cards, but different in their own way.

Other characters like Hypnos and Ryo, and what about Impmon and Calumon? I do have plans to bring Hypnos and Ryo back, but their stories will be different from the original Rika's AU. Impmon I'd like to, but odds are he'll just be recurring, and his story will be different from the anime. As for Calumon, he won't be included in the story. Mainly because he was the major plot device for the anime, and since the fanfic will have a different story, I have no reason to include him apart from fan-service, but push comes to shove, I can include a mini-arc involving him.

How will the romance be handled? Unlike Rika's AU where it was kind of frontloaded near the beginning, then the major story began with Rika and Takato being an official couple, I plan to have the romance sprinkled into the main story, so it's not as immediate, but will be there. I don't know if I'm explaining this well but it's to the best of my ability.

Either way, I apologise for being quiet for so long, and while I don't believe Tamers Adventure and it's very different story will be to the liking for those who just wants a standard Rika's AU remake, I do hope you'll enjoy it regardless.
