In a parallel future…
Ragnarok: The Battle for Humanity's Right to Live
"Haah, haah. Ugh, damn…" Yuki spit out some blood as she slowly stood up, her legs shaking. The broken remains of multiple pairs of Traced Kanshou and Bakuya fizzled out of existence.
Across from her was Poseidon with a sadistic look on his face. "What's wrong? I thought you could endure anything. Or is that all you have, you insignificant worm."
"Bastard…" Yuki growled. She barely managed to survive Poseidon's Medusa Alope Demeter technique.
"That is a terrible name," Persona Medusa complained.
Up in the stands, Yuki's friends and family were watching on in worry.
"C'mon, Yuki! You got this!" Morgana shouted in encouragement, though there were tears in his eyes seeing his best friend so beat up.
Rin noticed Morgana's distress and picked up the cat in her arms.
"Mom…" Rei looked on, "She'll win. Right, Miss Saber?" Rei asked, her tone giving away that she was trying to reassure herself.
"She will win," Artoria stated as if it was a foregone conclusion.
Sebas was silent. He would love nothing more than to go down there himself and kill this arrogant god. But he promised his lady that he would let her handle this. He had no doubt she would win.
On the other side with the gods…
"Hm, it looks like the girl won't last much longer," Hermes observed.
"Hmph. I'll admit she lasted longer than I thought," Ares said, surprising Hermes.
"Oh~ Did you just compliment a mortal?" Hermes teased.
Ares scoffed and said nothing though he was confused. Why did he compliment that human?
"Well, looks like this one is going to die too," Loki shrugged. "The expected outcome, of course."
Aphrodite had a frown on her face. For some reason, the thought of this human dying made her upset and depressed. She was perplexed about where these emotions were coming from as she knew she had never met this girl before.
In fact, many gods, including Shiva and his wives, Apollo, Artemis, Indra, Frigg, and many more, feel conflicting emotions at the thought of Yuki dying. They didn't know what to think of these feelings.
Odin noticed this odd phenomenon happening among his fellow gods. "Just what is happening with them? Who is this human that the thought of her death causes such distress in the minds of some of the other gods? …Actually, I can see the same distress in some humans as well."
Back in the arena…
Yuki took a deep breath and closed her eyes.
Poseidon narrowed his eyes. His instincts were telling him that this mortal was not finished yet. "Tch," he clicked his tongue.
"Haah. Guess there's only one way to win this…"
Yuki's eyes shot open.
"I am the bone of my sword."
A heavy pressure blasted throughout the entire arena.
"This is… energy from the soul?" Osiris said in confusion.
"Hah, it's about time, kid." said a certain red-headed blacksmith.
"Steel is my body, and the Sea is my Soul."
The pressure increased.
Poseidon, being a God of the Seas, growled at that line.
"What… is happening?" Ares' eyes widened.
Hermes raised a curious eyebrow.
"I have created infinite blades."
"Enough of this!" Poseidon jumped into the air and unleashed Chione Tyro Demeter.
"Rho Aias!" Yuki shouted and stretched out her right arm.
Several people related to Greek Mythology and historians were surprised Yuki shouted the name of the shield of Aias the Great.
A dark blue translucent barrier came forth and expanded seven times. Seven blue petals appeared with it. The great number of trident stabs from Poseidon crashed against the shield. A few seconds later, the first layer broke. Yuki grit her teeth as her sleeve tears away.
"Aware of Fate's path. Yet carving my own."
The second layer broke, and Yuki braced herself better.
Poseidon attacked even faster, trying to prevent Yuki from unleashing whatever this was.
"Withstood pain protecting those precious to me."
"Shut up, shut up! Know your place!" Poseidon changed tactics and used Medusa Alope Demeter to attack Yuki since it would take too long to break the shield.
"Damn it!" Yuki cursed as Rho Aias only protected her front. "Trace On!" Numerous swords materialized on her flanks and rear, striking out all around her and intercepting the trident strikes while the shield still protected her front.
"I have no regrets. This is the path I choose."
Everyone, gods and humans, were the most shocked they've been when they felt the pressure of Yuki's soul increase exponentially.
"So, as I move forward…"
Yuki smirked. This is it.
"Unlimited Blade Works!"
And the world disappeared in an explosion of fire. Every single human and god became blinded by it. When their vision cleared, they first noticed that they were no longer sitting in the stands in an arena. Instead, they were floating in the afternoon sky. Poseidon and Yuki were standing on a hill in the middle of a grassy island surrounded by an ocean. Swords, spears, and other weapons surround the two, impaled in the ground, acting as markers.
Many humans were shocked as they could recognize that some were rather famous.
"That sword… Is that Balmung!?"
"That's Durandal!"
"Gae Dearg and Gae Buide… Never thought I would see those again."
"Gae Bolg…" a certain god recognized his son's spear.
Many other famous weapons were recognized.
The gods also recognized their own weapons.
"What is the meaning of this!?"
"How does she have divine weapons!?"
"Vasavi Shakti, Sarnga, Agni Gandiva, Brahmasta, Trishula… Just how…" the Hindu gods were shocked seeing their weapons.
"Where did she get her hand on Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi!" Susanoo thundered.
"Gungnir… How?" Odin was surprised to see his spear. That should not be possible. He knows where his spear is right now. And yet, when he looks at the Gungnir impaled on that hill, he can also feel its connection.
Poseidon glared at Yuki when he noticed his own trident, the same one in his hand, impaled on the ground. "Insect, how dare you…" he growled. "What have you done?"
"Hmph, you're in a world of Unlimited Blades." Yuki declared and spread her arms. "This my world, my soul, my rules. Your domains won't work here."
Poseidon tried to assert his control over the water around them, but, to his shock, it wouldn't move. In fact, the water lashed out and blasted him, surprising himself and the other gods.
"Like I said, my soul, my rules," Yuki said.
In a flash of light, a sword in a blue sheath with gold trim appeared in front of Yuki. She grabbed the sheath and hilt and slowly pulled the sword out. A brilliant light shined from the blade, blinding everyone. It died down, and everyone saw what it was.
To many, it was the most beautiful…
No…
For some reason, describing the sword as "beautiful" only feels like it would dirty it.
"Haah," Yuki took a deep breath. "It's time to bring about Humanity's Promised Victory."

So, this is a little something for Shirou Day 2022. I wanted to finish this to release it on October 20th, but real life got in the way. Funny how that happens when you least want it.
I've wanted to show Yuki's UBW chant for a while now. So here's a friendly spoiler.
The scene itself might show up in the story or might not. We'll see,
As for Chapter 12, it should finally come within a week.
