AKA: The true lives of the fabulous Fireteam RADS, where a bunch of idiots are somehow powerful enough to kill gods. One prompt, per day, for the whole of October (hopefully). Includes: found family, gratuitous swearing, likely neurodivergence, queer rep out the wazoo, et cetera.

25. Prompt 25: Sever

Prompt 25: SEVER

River didn't have a Severance.

She'd sat down and talked at length with Eris about it, about things that plagued her - and… well, they didn't anymore, actually.

Eris had suggestions - her experience with the Taken Ahamkara (the nightmares remained, but the guilt had long since been absolved), Cayde or Andal (neither had been her fault), her children (one returned to her, one still lost - but again, she had done everything she could). She had a family again: wonderful friends, a loving partner. She had a home that was her own, and the freedom to do whatever she liked when she liked.

Alcohol had gone back to a social beverage rather than a crutch.

The Darkness had no answer to her, because she had taken the answers from it. So when the time came and the Severance missions began, she helped the others fight their demons, topple them like all the other foes they'd defeated over the years. River had already handled her own.
