Eloquent Destruction's Hanger B.
2519, Ninth Age of Doubt.
The three transport ships floated carefully through the hangers shielding door and made their way inside. "Phantom A! dock near the entrance of Hanger B, then head for the refueling line! Spirit C, land at the designated repair platform! Phantom B is to dock at its designated platform! "
The intercom of Hanger B's control station began commanding the unggoy maintenance crews to report to the repair platform, with some Yanme'e intermingled with the workers.
"Repair Team 2-B! proceed to the hangar for your next assignment!"
Josi's phantom, phantom A, docked to the closest spot available to the entrance. The four Sangheili, including the commanding Ultra and the minor prophet, came down from the phantom's anti-gravity lift.
*THUMP*
The first one off the dropship was the Ultra, who was looking down on a datapad for his next assignment from the shipmaster, the minor prophet soon followed. Although the prophet didn't have a gravity chair like some of his betters had, he was careful enough not to hurt himself. He was quickly and carefully following behind the commander.
The four elites soon followed, Josi shot a glance at the spirit in need of repairs, the turret being demolished, sparks flew out of its plasma emitter, coal-black explosion marks ran underneath the spirit's retractable landing gear, and scuff marks were evident on the hull of the ship.
'Brute Shots may have done that, good thing those things are far more resilient than the phantoms.' Josi thought identified the pilot, an elite with your typical Ranger battle harness now surveying the damage to the ship, along with some of the yanme'e workers to assess the damage.
'At least the pilot made it, those ships are a death trap for landing warriors, wonder how the rest of the lance is…'
The group left the Hanger, Rtas motioned to Josi, the major was getting N'tho and Sarom some much-needed aid from their bout with Vectus. "The commander will need you to be with him when you two meet the shipmaster and the prophet, for now, I'll be getting these two aid." Rtas raised his head to Josi, then saluted him and proceeded to take the two to a medical professional onboard the ship. Josi nodded, then caught up with the ultra as he was now in front of the prophet.
As they left, the three continued toward the command center. As the three neared the command center, Josi felt eyes on him, coming from both the prophet and the Ultra.
"How did you manage to kill that monster?" the commander glanced at Josi, putting his datapad down on his side. His curiosity was now evident as he continued. "On the comms, it sounded like he was about to surrender to you, and while having him face his crimes for all to see sounds tantalizing, I am glad you didn't." The commander then handed him the forerunner artifact. Allowing Josi to hold it in his palms, its blue hue from the light and the warmth in his palm.
The large elite soon spoke, "I was never going to allow him to live, especially with how dangerous he was." Josi flatly commented, the commander gave a nod of approval after that but while continuing the conversation, Josi stole a glance at the old prophet behind him, his bulbous eyes still concentrated solely on him, but oddly enough, he remained quiet throughout the ordeal. To Josi, that was an oddity in itself. He had never heard of a prophet being so meek.
The quiet prophet then moved closer to the ultra, then murmured something too quiet for him to hear.
Once done, the ultra stopped dead in his tracks, the three were right outside the command center, turned to the prophet and gave him a look over, then looked at Josi and gave him a stare too. His mandibles twitched, first in what Josi could describe as confusion and then annoyance.
"Hrmph, very well…" the ultra snorted as he opened the door.

The command center of the Eloquent Destruction was not too busy, the officers on duty were mostly elites, but some jackals mingled in between, and some went quiet after the door opened. They all turned to see the three enter, the volume of talking lowered to soft murmurs as both the shipmaster and the prophet met them near the door.
The shipmaster wore a gold-plated battle harness, the torso piece of the armor was much bulkier than the standard harness one was given, it pointed outwards with a silver bolt in the very middle of the armor. His shoulder blades had winged tips that pointed outwards behind him, and the entirety of the armor also had holographic hieroglyphs running down his thighs. Oddly enough he sported a standard helmet, the helmet was bejeweled with varying rubies, and emeralds. Their vibrant colors were evident all around the brim of his helmet and the black edges from the back.
The prophet was your standard, albeit, a rather small compatriot when put next to the shipmaster. He wore a straight blue robe, with gold-trimmed edges, and gold-tinted buttons lined up the center of the robe, his wrinkled face showing great excitement over recollecting the artifact.
"Ah, here they are now." the shipmaster spoke with a hint of joy coming from his low voice, while the prophet in blue was silent.
The two elites bowed their heads, the ultra allowing a smirk to appear approached the two figures. He then began to speak.
"Shipmaster, Minister, allow me to introduce the one who slew Vectus! Josi 'Vadamee!"
The two turned their attention to the large elite, he knelt and held out his palms toward the blue prophet, allowing him to take hold of the artifact. The prophet's look was pleasing, he allowed a toothy grin to appear as he took it from the palms of the elite. The blue prophet's face was overjoyed as he allowed it to rest on his lap, he then glanced at the ultra on his side as he whispered something in his ear.
The prophet's joyful face soon turned into a frown as he then turned back to the ultra.
"Congratulations are in order, Josi. a warrior with renown and strength is welcomed in our Covenant, that much you know already." the shipmaster spoke as he allowed Josi to stand.
"From now on you are to be referred to as Major Josi 'Vadamee, wear your new promotion proudly, once we are done here head down to the armory for your new armor."
The now-promoted Major nodded in delight. But before everything was said and done, the blue prophet chimed in.
"Yes, we are very pleased with the work you've conducted in the short time being with us, but, I have a personal assignment for you to conduct." the prophet spoke with a hint of apathy, his amphibious eyes then shot a glance at the rather quiet individual in the command center.
"I need you to go ahead and question our meek representative about the events that transpired when he was captured." the blue prophet scratched his neck and sighed as he continued. "I would've waited when we had rejoined the defensive fleet around High Charity, but now it's become apparent that it's more important than ever, especially when he asked for you to conduct questioning yourself, there will be a security team with you as a precaution."
That caused Josi to tilt his head in confusion, was he even allowed to do such a thing now? More importantly, he asked for himself, and not the prophet or the shipmaster. Not even the commander in charge?
Josi bowed his head "of course, noble one."
"Good! The time of his questioning will begin later this evening." the prophet handed Josi a datapad consisting of some basic questions, including a card.
"The Card will allow you to lock the room once you begin, the room will be watched via outside sources, and the security team that'll assist you will also be listening in as well." he went on as he rubbed his chin. "We expect great things from you from now on, Major."
"Of course noble one, I will not fail."
