At Shun and Kai's apartment, Shun was making a sculpture when he stopped to glance at Kai. He watched as Kai was using a wooden closet rod to practice using his pitchfork. Shun swooned, then he looked at the sculpture he was making and he said,"I still can't make one that shows Kai-chan's beauty."
Shun frowned,"At least there's a solace of this one being for a client."
Shun then went back to sculpting, occasionally glancing at Kai. Meanwhile, Kai kept practicing until he stopped and looked at Shun. He sighed then he put his hand over his heart and he tilted his head when he felt it beat slightly faster. Kai then went back to practicing saying to himself,"Why does my heartbeat so fast when I look at Shun?"
At Daiji and Vicky's apartment, Daiji and Vicky were eating breakfast together when Vicky said,"Didn't that voice say something about us getting rewards if we beat that Ogre thing?"
"Yeah it did, never said what they'd be though.",Daiji answered while shrugging.
"Actually, I am here to deliver these rewards though they are sadly not what was originally planned.",The voice said, startling both Daiji and Vicky.
Suddenly, two talismans appeared on the table, one having Spirit's emblem on it and the other having Gravity's. Daiji and Vicky took their respective talisman with Vicky looking it over with confusion. Daiji meanwhile looked at the talisman and asked,"Why give us these?"
"That, I am unable to say.",The voice said.
"Of course you are.",Daiji rolled his eyes. Vicky raised an eyebrow while asking,"What was the original reward?"
"It was going to be a clue as to where the next avatar was located, however I am unable to detect where they are now.",The voice said. Daiji and Vicky looked at one another with concern then Vicky's phone began ringing and she picked it up.
"Hey Shun, what's up?",Vicky said.
"Vicky-san, would you mind coming over with Daiji-kun?",Shun said in an apprehensive tone.
Vicky looked at Daiji, who raised an eyebrow due to him not listening to the conversation.
A little more than an hour later, Vicky and Daiji entered Shun's apartment with Shun motioning over to Kai. Kai was currently holding a katana that was covered in stone of some kind. Daiji, after taking his shoes off, walked towards Kai and asked,"Kai, you okay buddy?"
Kai nodded, then he said while never taking his eyes off of the katana,"I was given this as a reward by that voice."
"He got a sword? That's not fair, all we got were some talismans."Vicky said while crossing her arms. Shun glared at Vicky and she shrugged in response.
"Okay, but let me take that from you so you can focus on something else.",Daiji said in a cautious voice while reaching for the katana. Kai moved it away then he said,"You can't touch it."
"Why not?",Daiji asked.
"Because it told me that only I can touch it and be safe."Kai said, his eyes never coming off of the katana.
"Why would it tell you that?"Vicky questioned.
"Because it's not complete. It's sleeping right now and when it wakes, it'll only work for me.",Kai said, running his hand over the stone blade once more. He then put the sword down and turned to his friends, with them noticing his eyes having a red tint to them now.
Shun went up to Kai, his face showing worry but also love, and took him by the hand before saying,"Kai-chan, please tell me if that talks to you again."
Kai nodded, then he kissed Shun before saying,"Aren't you going to listen to your reward?"
Shun raised an eyebrow then he looked at what appeared to be a guitar case. This guitar case was black but had green chains on it that were connected to a heart shaped magenta colored lock.
"I can't get into the lock, Kai-chan. It also isn't saying anything.",Shun said.
"It is though. I can't hear it clearly but it is saying something.", Kai said bluntly. Daiji and Vicky had dumbfounded looks on their faces with Vicky whispering to Daiji,"Is it just me or does Kai get weirder and weirder the more we get to know him?"
"Nah, he does though in this case, he may be onto something.",Daiji said.
"Explain.",Vicky replied, raising her eyebrow.
"Remember those doors we were in front of? Maybe these rewards are tied to them in some way.",Daiji reasoned while taking out his talisman. Vicky looked at Daiji with some disbelief then she began to be worried at the thought.
Elsewhere in the city, Ren was currently beating up someone in an alley. He punched the person in the face several times then he stood up and stomped on them several times. Ren then stopped and reached down, picking up a buckle and smiling wickedly while saying,"This is mine now."
Ren began walking out of the alley while saying,"Now I have Moon, Data, and Magma. Think these are enough for me to win these games."
Ren then stopped as he appeared to hear something, putting a hand to his ear and listening intently. Ren nodded before saying,"You're right. I still need at least one more."
Ren began walking once more, not noticing how a blue and burgundy aura was radiating off of him faintly. The shadowy figure watched Ren from a nearby rooftop and it sighed with disappointment before saying,"Corrupted."
The shadowy figure then turned on its heel and said,"Must request to act." as he walked into some shadows.
