(Music playing) The elements of the Phantomrangers dance around the screen while the Phantom Medals fall to the ground.
(1, 2, 1, 2, 3, go) The Phantom Medals hit the ground and revealed the words Spirit Sentai Phantomranger written in the elements and colors of each Phantomranger.
(How does it feel at the bottom of the barrel) Casey is in the library of her college with many papers scattered on the table in front of her. She then sighs and leans back in annoyance.
(All your friends don't care, no your friends don't care at all) Jason is at a skatepark failing to perform a trick and hurting himself. A group of people laughed at Jason and he hit the ground in frustration.
(How does it feel at the bottom of the barrel) Axis and Kizu are at their job finishing up cleaning when someone makes a big mess. Axis pinched the bridge of his nose while Kizu frowned.
(All your friends don't care, no your friends don't care at all) Paul B walked alone on the sidewalk, no one taking notice of him or acknowledging he was there.
(Rejected, rejected. You're never gonna be the one respected) Kou and Daggon walked together then they stopped as images of Corvus and Xiya loomed over her.
(Infected, infected. This is the way that every life has ended) Each Phantomranger and Kou looked up to see Ben standing in front of them with a smirk.
(No, no! This life will swallow you whole!) Each Phantomranger gained determined looks before they all appeared side by side looking forward at three people.
(No, no! This life will swallow you whole!) The three people were revealed to be PhantomRogue, Corvus, and Xiya. The Phantomrangers readied themselves then put their Phantom medals into their Spirit Changers. Daggon put his Beast medal into his BeastCycler. Kou had cosmic energy engulf her hands.
(If I could set the clocks back, I wouldn't be heading for a body bag) BluePhantom kicked two Husks then she shot three that were charging towards her. GreenPhantom flew around on his hoverboard, hitting several husks along the way. PhantomChimera punched several Husks then headbutted one and chuckled.
(One life and one decision, make sure it ends with you still living) RedPhantom slashes two husks then shoots energy arrows at three husks that were about to attack both GreenPhantom and BluePhantom.
(Feel like I'm on the fast track to laying face down from a heart attack) YellowPhantom cut down several Husks then he punched one across the face. PinkPhantom kicked two Husks then he fell down and was about to be hit by a Husks. YellowPhantom moved to help PinkPhantom but couldn't due to having to fight another Husks. Kou fought some Husks then she had to dodge several attacks before firing a blast of cosmic energy.
(One life and one decision, make sure it ends with you still living) RedPhantom slashed the Husks then helped PinkPhantom stand up. Yellow, Green, and BluePhantom regrouped with the two then the group looked forward.
(Make sure it ends with you still living) PhantomRogue, Corvus, and Xiya stood in front of the group with an army of Husks behind them.
(Music plays) The Phantomrangers readied their weapons then charged at the army. The trio of villains charged at the Phantomrangers. RedPhantom then slashed at the trio.
(Make sure it ends with you still living!) The screen then shows the title Spirit Sentai Phantomranger in the Phantomrangers elements and colors.
Currently, Kou, Kizu, and Casey were talking with Ben. Ben sighed then said,"So, you don't know much about the Daemons plans?"
Kou shook her head then she said,"Mōshiwake arimasen. Yakudatsu to ieru koto ga areba ī nodesuga,-sōde wa arimasen." (Translation: I apologize for this. I wish there was something I could say that could help but there isn't.)
"Daijōbu Kō-chan. Tabun, hoka no dēmon ni tsuite nanika oshiete itadakemasu ka.",Kizu said. (Translation: It's okay Kou-chan. Maybe you can tell us something about the Daemons."
Kou thought about it then she said,"Mōhitori no josei dēmon wa Xiya to iu namaedesu. Kanojo wa watashitachi no naka de mottomo nesshinde, hakai ni nesshindesu. Kanojo wa sono nōryoku kara ha no dēmon to yoba rete imashita." (Translation: The other female Daemon is named Xiya. She's the most hot headed of us and she's keen on destruction. She was dubbed the Daemon of blades due to her abilities.)
"Well she sounds nice.",Ben remarked. Casey raised an eyebrow but kept her mouth shut.
"Tekishita otoko wa Corvus to iu namaedesu. Kare wa hito to no torihiki o tanoshimu keisan manipyurētādesu. Don'nani yoku kikoete mo, sorezore no torihiki wa kare ni yūrina dakedesu.",Kou said. (Translation: The suited man is named Corvus. He's a calculating manipulator that revels in making deals with people. Each deal is only in his favor, no matter how good it sounds.)
"Corvus? He's named after a crow?",Casey asked, only understanding the name.
"That brings me little hope of him being an easy opponent.",Ben said. Suddenly, the four heard the sound of metal clanging together coming from the backyard. Kou raised an eyebrow then said,"Ano Oto Hana ni?" (Translation: What is that noise?)
"Nothing good.",Ben said. He, Kou, Kizu, and Casey then went to the backyard to see YellowPhantom and PhantomChimera were clashing blades with one another. Jason and Paul B were standing on the porch watching.
"Why are Daggon and Axis fighting?!",Casey asked.
"They were wondering who is stronger and they decided the best way to find out is to fight.",Jason said nonchalantly.
"And you let them?!",Casey said while looking at Paul B.
"By the time I got out here, I couldn't stop it.",Paul B said while watching YellowPhantom and PhantomChimera battle. YellowPhantom slashed at PhantomChimera with his Shogosword but PhantomChimera blocked his slashes with his ChimeraCutters. He then chuckled and charged at YellowPhantom, swinging his Chimera Cutters as if they were nunchucks. YellowPhantom blocked these slashes then he extended his sword into a whip and began swinging it PhantomChimera.
"Aren't you going to stop them?",Casey asked Paul B.
"I would, but I don't want to get hit with one of those.",Paul B said.
"I wanna see who wins. Twenty bucks on Axis winning.",Jason said.
"Eh, I think Daggon stands a good chance.",Paul B commented. Kizu hit Jason in the back of the head while Casey punched Paul B in the shoulder.
PhantomChimera and YellowPhantom clashed blades then they jumped back from one another. PhantomChimera chuckled, then he said,"You're strong, one eye. And good with that pointy stick."
"Heh, you're not bad yourself. Though, you're a bit wild to say the least.",YellowPhantom said. He and PhantomChimera then charged at one another and a wall of cosmic energy came in between them. This caused both to hit the wall and tumble backwards.
YellowPhantom and PhantomChimera looked towards the porch and they both had their voices hitch in their throats when they saw Kou and Kizu glaring at them. The two looked at each other then PhantomChimera said,"I think they aren't happy with us."
"I know Kizu isn't.",YellowPhantom said.
Minutes later, Kizu and Kou were scolding Daggon and Axis, who were explaining their reasoning but failing to convince their significant others.
Paul B, Casey, Jason and Ben were in a different room glancing at the four. Paul B shook his head then said,"Poor guys."
"They are definitely in the dog house."Jason said while looking at Daggon and Axis.
"You both should be too for letting them fight.",Casey snapped at Paul B and Jason.
"Now, Casey, sparring is perfectly okay between teammates. Though it should be chaperoned by me so you all don't kill each other accidentally.",Ben said, trying to calm down Casey. Casey glared at the man, and Ben stepped back while saying,"And I shall stay back here."
Kizu came into the room and he looked at Jason before pointing at Jason and saying,"Jason-san, you better not let this happen again. If my Axey-chan gets hurt, I will use my magic to turn you into a frog."
Jason nodded fearfully. Kizu then looked at Casey and said in a much more friendly way,"Casey-chan, Kou-chan said that she may know where a Specter is. She wants us to go to it and check it out while she helps Daggon-san learn to write and read."
Casey looked at Paul B and asked,"You okay with that?"
"Yeah, it can't hurt to check out. Plus Daggon really needs to learn how to read.",Paul B said.
"I assume this is so he can read up on certain things."Ben chimed in.
"No this is so he can read labels."Jason answered bluntly. "We had to stop him from attempting to eat a candle."
Ben and Casey gained surprised expressions while Kizu said,"Daggon-san is not very smart."
"Eh, kind of expected when he grew up in a jungle.",Jason chimed in.
"Anyway, just ask Kou where it is and I'll teleport you guys there.",Ben said before sitting down in a chair. Kizu nodded then he walked back towards Kou. Casey watched Kizu as he talked to Kou then took Axis by the hand. She sighed with some sadness and she clasped her hands together. Paul B noticed Casey's sadness but kept it to himself.
At the cocktail lounge, Corvus was at the bar sipping from a glass of whiskey while reading a book. Xiya entered while asking,"Where is Lord Xykor?"
"He's out. Had to meet with someone earlier and I presume this someone is either his ranger or his loyal dog. Either way, I don't care too much.",Corvus explained, not even looking at Xiya. Xiya scoffed at Corvus,"Of course you don't. Only thing you care about is screwing over people and benefiting from their misery."
Corvus smiled and raised his glass,"You know me well."
Xiya rolled her eyes then she began thinking about Kou and she smirked evilly. Xiya then left the lounge while saying,"I'll be back later."
"Okay.",Corvus dismissively said. He then turned a page in his book and said,"Oh I knew I liked this aristocrat but now I wish I could marry her."
In the parking lot of a tavern, Paul B, Casey, Jason, Axis, and Kizu appeared and each of them caught their balance quickly. Jason then immediately went over to a trash can and began vomiting. Casey shook her head then said,"I'm starting to get used to the teleporting thing."
"I'm not.",Jason said before vomiting some more. Axis and Kizu went over to Jason and patted him on the back. Paul B and Casey looked away from Jason vomiting and at the tavern. Casey scratched her head then he said,"A tavern? What kind of Specter could be in here?"
"Maybe a beer Specter?"Paul B joked. Casey playfully punched Paul B in the side and he chuckled. Kizu, Axis, and Jason walked up to Casey and Paul B, Jason wiping his mouth. He looked at the tavern then said,"Oh a tavern. Think they have mints?"
"Hopefully.",Axis commented. The five then entered the tavern. They looked around and saw no one was there save for a bartender and three customers. The bartender looked up at the group and asked,"Hello, are you all looking for rooms?"
"No, we're just looking around. Heard this place was haunted and we're all amateur ghost hunters.",Jason said, trying to charm the bartender. The bartender nodded, unconvinced by Jason, then he went back to cleaning a glass. Jason, and the others began walking towards the stairs. They went up the stairs and looked around at the room doors but stopped when Casey saw a gray aura radiating from one of the doors.
"Guys, got a door over here with lots of aura coming from it."Casey said while looking at the door. The others moved to the door and they all hesitantly stared at the door. Axis opened the door and just as he did, a violet web stuck to his chest and yanked him into the room.
"Axey-chan!",Kizu said while going after Axis. Inside the room was a Spider Specter that had brownish black fur, four red eyes, and four arms. The Specter also had violet armor on its chest, legs and back.
Axis struggled against the web and he tried to tear it off of him as the spider specter dragged him towards it. Paul B summoned his AgniBowblade and cut the web holding Axis. Axis stood up then said,"Okay, that thing's dying today."
Kizu, Casey, Jason, Axis, and Paul B took out their Phantom medals and said,"Phantomise." while putting the medals into their Spirit Changers.
"AGNI, ELIZI, NJORD, SHOGO, CIRCE PHANTOMISE!"
The spider specter bellowed then it jumped out the window, breaking the glass. GreenPhantom summoned his Njordboard and he followed the specter out of the window. YellowPhantom followed GreenPhantom, being very angry at the Specter. PinkPhantom, RedPhantom, and BluePhantom ran down the stairs and were shocked to see Husks in the tavern. The trio summoned their weapons and began fighting the Husks.
Somewhere else in the city, Daggon and Kou were walking together with Daggon not having his mask on and having an orange v-neck t-shirt along with his usual shorts and a pair of worn black boots.
Daggon kept adjusting his shirt and Kou chuckled before saying,"Daggon-san yamete."
"This doesn't feel right. How do you all wear these things?",Daggon complained.
"We just do and they look good. Remember, Eridis said that just because you gained King Chimera and got in touch with your human side, doesn't mean you shouldn't try and become more human.",Kou said, her accent being heavy and her words not coming out clearly at times.
Daggon grunted then he said,"This is hard. Especially reading and writing."
"It's not hard, you're just stubborn. Kin'niku no baka.",Kou said with a smile. Daggon smirked at Kou then he asked,"Why do you speak normally around me but speak in that other way when around others?"
"Because I know you won't judge me for my accent or my mispronunciation. I also know Japanese more because I was born there and it feels natural to speak that way.",Kou said, somewhat embarrassed. Daggon nodded then he said,"If anyone says anything bad about you, I will kill them."
"Daggon-san, you can't kill people for doing that. It's a crime.",Kou said in a scolding manner. She then gained a small smile,"Shikashi, it does make you a good mate for sticking up for me."
Daggon chuckled triumphantly. He and Kou continued walking, then they stopped when Kou began to sense something. Daggon sniffed the air then he said,"A monster is near. It's powerful too."
"Īe, this isn't a Specter. It's a Daemon.",Kou said with caution. Kou then had a shield of cosmic energy appear beside herself and Daggon just in time to block a punch from Xiya. Kou and Daggon flew across the street, with Daggon holding Kou close as they tumbled to a stop. Xiya cracked her knuckles then she began walking towards the couple while saying,"Time to die traitor."
"Xiya.",Kou said while getting to her feet. Xiya then changed into her Daemon form and it caused the surrounding civilians to run away in terror. Xiya's skin had changed to being hot pink, she now had four fierce pink eyes, her hair changed to being burgundy and spiked, her shirt changed to being a magenta color and was torn at the shoulders and just above her abdomen, her pants were now torn at the knee and she wore high heeled knee high boots. Xiya also now had an extra set of arms coming out of back and all four of her arms had black razor sharp claws at the end of each finger.
Daggon grunted, then he stood up and was about to transform but Kou stood in front of him and she changed into her Daemon form. Her skin turned violet and her hair turned navy blue swaying towards the left. Her clothes changed so that she now had a long sleeved light blue long coat that had a coat tail which stopped behind her knees, her pants and shoes combined and changed to being blue with the knees cut out in diamond shapes. Kou's eyes were now light blue as well and she had no mouth.
Daggon stared at Kou, his gaze showing complete entrancement.
"Heh, never thought you'd be stupid enough to fight back Kou. Guess you do have a spine.",Xiya said before charging at Kou. She slashed at Kou with her bottom claws but Kou dodged them. She then dodged several more slashes from Xiya before floating backwards into a wooded area. Xiya leapt towards Kou, thrusting all four of her arms towards Kou. Kou managed to block Xiya's attack but she was thrown back by it.
Xiya chuckled, then she slashed at Kou several times, with Kou managing to block them. Kou retaliated by firing blasts of cosmic energy at Xiya, but Xiya dodged them. She then managed to slash Kou four times before kicking Kou in the gut. Kou tumbled backwards then she erected a shield to block a slash from Xiya.
"Ha ha, you're still weak. No wonder you betrayed us.",Xiya said with malicious joy. Xiya was then punched in the side of the face by PhantomChimera, sending her into a tree. PhantomChimera helped Kou to her feet and Kou said,"Arigato."
PhantomChimera nodded, then he turned to Xiya and summoned his ChimeraCutters. Kou readied herself by covering her hands in cosmic energy.
Xiya stood up then she turned to PhantomChimera and Kou. She scoffed then she sharpened her claws and readied herself.
