Rent a Girlfriend: Different Beginnings (Short Story) Part 3

Plot:
For someone that became basically a workaholic. Being forced to not go into work for two weeks felt like torture and it had only been three days since Kazuya had been ordered to take that time off. By a Doctor and his Commanding Officer. Sure during that time he was required to see a Phycologist to make sure he was mentally sound and he had to see a Doctor for a check up in another week before returning to duty. But only having to attend Classes was driving him insane. The only thing that made it nice was that he got to spend more time with his Girlfriend Chizuru. This is where the Story Continues.
Boredom and Whatever:
Awakening about the same time he usually did at 6 AM, Kazuya sat up on his Futon and grimaced. With his Shoulder still throbbing somewhat he still could not exercise like he did every morning. Oh sure he could go for a modified run. But that was it. So he decided to settle on maybe seeing if Chizuru wanted to go out for breakfast in an hour or so. That was the only saving grace he discovered to make it tolerable to endure his forced time off. Being able to spend time with Chizuru. Though that worried him. She had not gone on any Booked Dates in the last three days. So he worried about her financial situation. From what he knew she had to be booked and do her Job at least three times a week for her to be able to afford her payments to the Acting School and her other expenses. When someone chimed his Doorbell, he already knew who it was. Opening the door he saw Chizuru standing there with a small smile. "Good Morning Kazuya...I was thinking that we could go out for breakfast this morning." She said and Kazuya chuckled.
"Sounds good. I was actually going to come ask you the same thing in about an hour." Kazuya said and then the two left and walked to a nearby Diner. While they ate, he decided to broach the issue that was concerning him. "You know Chizuru...I really love that you are spending so much time with me. But...Uhm...Can you afford to?" He asked and she slowly set down the breakfast sandwich she was about to continue eating. She took a small deep breath and bit her bottom lip.
"Not really. I have declined three Bookings in the last two days. But I just can't...I can't bring myself to go do my job. Maybe it is time I quit and find a normal job." Chizuru told him and they both knew that would not work. Not with her hectic schedule. Not with her attending Acting School and spending time with her ill Grandmother. Then having a Boyfriend that she wanted to be with as much as possible. Only a job like being a Rental Girlfriend gave her a flexible schedule that allowed her to be able to do all that. Along with making a fair share of money. There was not many or any part time jobs that paid 20,000 to 30,000 Yen a week. He only made 18,000 Yen a week and that was him being a Police Officer.
"I do not think that would work would it?" Kazuya asked and Chizuru slowly shook her head.
"No. But what can I do Kazuya. Every time I think about it. That I am going on Dates with other men. I feel like I am cheating on you. It was not so bad in the beginning because we were just dating. Now...Well I am in love with you and it has me worried that you might come to believe that I am cheating on you." Chizuru said and Kazuya reached over and clasped her hand in his. He shook his head.
"It is alright Chizuru...I love you too and I know for a fact that you are not cheating on me. Just because I know you do love me just as much as I love you which is a lot." Kazuya knew that what he had said sounded sappy. But he suspected that she needed sappy right now. She finally smiled and gave his left hand a gentle squeeze.
"How did I ever find myself such a Wonderful Boyfriend?" Chizuru said and they both returned to eating their breakfast. Later that afternoon she accepted a Booking Request for the next day. Then two others for other times after that.
Since Kazuya did not really have anything to do in the Afternoon and Chizuru was at her Job. He decided to accept Kibe's and Kuri's invitation to go to a Karaoke Cafe for a couple of hours. Believing that it would be just the three of them. But to his disappointment, Kibe had invited Mami Nagami, Imai and Shimae were there already. He did not have a problem with Imai and Shimae. But he was unsure about being in the same room with Mami. For one he knew Chizuru would not like it at all. He leaned closer towards Kuri. "What is going on?" He whispered to his friend who exhaled with a soft sigh.
"This ain't my fault. Kibe came up with this." Kuri whispered back and Kazuya was tempted to just get out of there. Oh he knew full well why Kibe invited Mami, Imai and Shimae. It was because his balding friend had a huge crush on Shimae.
"What are you two doing? Get in there." Kibe said almost forcing Kazuya and Kuri inside. Kazuya sat but as far from Mami as he possible could. Not even across from her but at an angle to the right. Nearest the door if he decided to just get out of there. Mami smiled sweetly at him.
"How are you feeling Kazu? Are you alright after what happened?" Mami asked with concern and Kazuya slowly nodded.
"I am fine. Though I am on Medical leave until next week." Kazuya said and then decided to add in something to make sure Mami knew that he was still with Chizuru. That he had a girlfriend. "Chizuru has been a little insistent that I take it easy and wants to spend a lot more time with me." At that moment Kibe chimed in.
"It is just so unfair. How could you somehow get yourself such a wonderful Girlfriend. It has to be that you are a cop. There is no other explanation on how someone as attractive as Chizuru would ever want to be with someone like you." Kibe said and Kazuya thought about that. He never considered that before. Maybe Kibe was right and it was that he was a Cop that Chizuru liked him. His friend noticed his expression. "Hey man...I was kidding. I am sure that she...I mean you two have been together for almost a month now and...and...Me and my big mouth."
"Yeah you and your big mouth. Come on Kazuya...You got to know that Chizuru does really care about you. If it was because you are a Cop she would have dumped you by now. Especially after you got Shot." Kuri quickly said.
"You are a great guy Kazuya. I am sure even if you were not a Cop any Girl would love to be your Girlfriend." Shimae said Imai quickly agreed. That was when Kazuya noticed the not so pleasant looks from Kibe and Mami. Kibe's was hinted with jealousy at what Shimae had said and Mami's annoyance at being reminded that she had dumped Kazuya. So he decided to reduce the tension in the room that had suddenly arisen.
"I am sure you all are right. I had just let some moron get me thinking too much and that can be a bad thing. I will know better not to listen to that moron again." Kazuya then smiled. "Especially since this Balding Idiot has not had any real luck with Girls at all. Hell even Kuri has gone out with a cute girl while someone else that I won't mention has been shot down by every Girl that he has approached." He looked over to see Kibe fuming and then he laughed.
"You got me good there Kazuya. Okay I surrender...So lets get to singing and have a good time instead of...This." Kibe said holding both of his hands out in a gesture that indicated that he was giving up. After that escapade, Kazuya ended up having a good time after all. Though he made sure that he treated answering any questions or inquiries from Mami like a Police Interrogation. Only giving specific and non-explicit Information. He of course knew how to do that from the Academy. Outside Mami was utterly annoyed and frustrated. She had hoped to somehow upset Kazuya and ended up becoming upset herself. But then she saw something or rather someone that made her Smile broadly. Across the street walking and holding another Man's hand was Chizuru. Taking out her Phone, she took several pictures and then chuckled gleefully.
Added Whatever:
"It is a trap. You are trying to trap me." Kazuya declared as he sat across from Chizuru in her Apartment. She shook her head and smiled.
"No it is not. Listen a friend of mine that is also a Rental Girlfriend is having trouble. All I am asking is for you to go on a Practice Date with her. Help her perhaps get over her insecurities and shyness." Chizuru said and Kazuya shook his head.
"No that is a trap. You are trying to test me to see if I would ever cheat on you." Kazuya said and Chizuru chuckled.
"I am not testing you. I am being serious. You are off on Medical Leave for three more days. All I am asking is for you to go on a Date with Sumi...Oh that is her name...On a Practice Date." Chizuru then smiled sweetly at him and crawled around the table. Putting her arms around his neck and continued to smile sweetly at him. "Please Kazuya...Do this for me." She asked giving him her best coy look that she could muster. He slumped.
"I hate when you do that. Okay...I still think you are testing me. But okay I will go on a Practice Date with her." Kazuya said relenting to her and Chizuru leaned closer and kissed him.
"Thank you Kazuya...Don't worry I am not testing you. I know you would never cheat on me. Because you are so head over heals in love with me you would never do something that would hurt me like that." Chizuru said reassuringly and Kazuya exhaled with a deep sigh. Grumbling something about being a Police Officer and somehow his Girlfriend could manipulate him so easily. She giggled and then kissed him again.
Waiting outside where he was supposed to, Kazuya leaned back against the wall. He had his hands in his Jacket Pockets. He could feel the Pistol Grip of his Service Pistol with his left hand and with his right his Handcuffs. A day ago he was cleared by the Psychologist to once more Carry his Firearm and tomorrow he would go see the Doctor to get cleared to go back to work. He could not wait. He wanted to get back to work. He was so bored of sitting at home that he was going stir crazy. Once more the only good thing was that he got to go out and be with Chizuru more often. Other then that he hated not being able to work. He looked over and then he saw the cute pink haired girl meekly approach him. "That has to be her." He muttered and then introduced himself to her while at the same time inquiring if she was Sumi Sakurasawa.
As he walked with Sumi towards the Gaming Center, Kazuya easily could tell that Sumi was just like what Chizuru said about her. Sumi was indeed shy and insecure. He could really relate with her. Due to when he was younger he was basically the same way. He was shy and insecure when it came to the opposite sex. Even now sometimes he felt that way when he was with Chizuru. He tried twice before now to get Sumi to maybe speak and failed both times. Though he did think it did make her appear extremely cute. In truth she was extremely cute regardless of her inability to speak. Nearing the Gaming Center, he did not notice that someone he knew had seen him.
When she fell, Kazuya quickly went up to make sure she was alright. "Let me guess...You have never bowled before." He asked and she blushed. Unable to contain himself he chuckled and then shook his head. "Okay...How about I go get us something to drink and then we will go try something else." He suggested quickly leaving and began to wonder if Sumi was even capable of being a Rental Girlfriend. Though he really did not have much to reference what made a Rental Girlfriend good at her job. Since he had once rented Chizuru once and by some trick of fate became her real boyfriend. By the time he returned three Punks were hitting on her and they were being crude. 'Excuse me...Sorry Sumi the line at the bathroom was longer then I expected." He took hold of Sumi's forearm and lightly dragged her from in between the three Punks.
"Hold on there...We were talking to her." One of them said with a sneer and Kazuya shook his head.
"No it more liked you were harassing her. Now you do realize that is against the law...Right?" Kazuya stated and one of the others stepped closer.
"So what if we were. Listen girl you could do so much better with us then this..." The Punk began and Kazuya interrupted him.
"Off Duty Police Officer." Kazuya finished for him opening his jacket to show his Pistol and Handcuffs. All three punks paled and stepped back. Keeping their hands open and out towards him as they moved back.
"Sorry...Sir...Uhm...We did not mean any harm." The first Punk said quickly and Kazuya glared over at him.
"Give your apologies to her not me." Kazuya stated firmly and the three quickly did. Bowing to her as they then quickly departed. He turned towards Sumi. "Are you alright?" He asked and she smiled broadly at him with a twinkle in her eyes. As they walked to the Elevators, she grabbed his right hand in her left and held it. Holding his hand as they descended to check out the other Activities and the Gaming Center. The whole scene had been secretly observed by Mami. Who took several Pictures with her Cellphone.
"One or the other. Does not matter now. I can show that Kazuya is cheating on Chizuru or vice versa." Mami then departed with a small sinister laugh.
That evening a few minutes after leaving Kazuya. Sumi called Chizuru to thank her and then told her about the Practice Date and how he had saved her from some Punks. Chizuru listened and then frowned. Easily being able to tell that Sumi had basically fallen for her Boyfriend. After saying goodbye to Sumi and hanging up. Chizuru continued to frown. "When he gets back...He has a lot of explaining to do." She muttered.
Minor Confrontation:
It took Mami about three hours to make up her mind on which one she would tell. She made the final decision when she believed it would be so much more severe for her to tell Chizuru that her beloved Boyfriend was cheating on her. Since it would make Kazuya suffer more having Chizuru dump him. That was exactly what she wanted. To make Kazuya suffer. Along with completely upsetting Chizuru at the same time. "It is a win-win situation." She said then laughed. Waiting outside Kazuya's Apartment building she looked up to the second floor walkway to see Kazuya kissing Chizuru. Hiding behind a dumpster she watched as Kazuya then went down, climbed on his Police Motorcycle and drive away. That was when she ascended the Stairs and rang his Doorbell.
"What do you want now?" Chizuru asked just outside of Kazuya's Apartment. She had just finished collecting his Laundry with the intent of washing his with her own. Mami smiled at her sweetly.
"I was with a friend of mine the other day and I saw something that I believe you have a right to know about. Since you and Kazuya are supposed to be a Couple." Mami said continuing to smile sweetly. She had photo evidence that the two were cheating on each other and now she wanted to let this moment build so that she could fully enjoy every second of it.
"We are a couple. Now what the hell do you want? I am busy." Chizuru asked with frustration and annoyance. Mami brought up her Cellphone and then turned it so that Chizuru could see the photos on it.
"Oh look at that. Kazuya out with some other Girl. An extremely cute pink haired girl...And look they are holding hands." Mami was not expecting Chizuru to start laughing. "What is so funny?" She demanded angrily and then decided to stoke the fire even more. "Especially since you are cheating on him too." She said and Chizuru continued to laugh this time harder.
"You are such a pain in the ass. I cannot believe Kazuya ever even dated you." Chizuru said and then shook her head. "Listen I am only going to tell you this one time and then I want you to go away and never bother my Kazuya ever again. He is not cheating on me...Since I asked him to go out with Sumi. Oh that is that girls name. As for me with that other Man...Kazuya already knows all about that and it none of your business. Now I have better things to do then stand her talking to you. So leave." She then stepped back inside his Apartment. Leaving Mami just standing there.
"Yeah I doubt he knows about it!" Mami stated and turned to leave. Determined to find Kazuya and show him the Pictures of Chizuru out with another Man. Her plan failed when Kazuya told her he already knew about Chizuru being out with someone else. Which threw her off so badly that she had to wonder what was going on.
Date Night: First Time in More ways then one
Nervously rechecking her Make-up and her attire, Chizuru glanced over at her Alarm Clock. Another hour and she would be going out with Kazuya on a Date. It had been almost four days since she and Kazuya had gone out. Though they had seen each other every day that four days. So that made it not so bad. But to go on an actual date with her Boyfriend was four days ago and she was looking forward to it. She had purposely declined all Bookings Request for today and was now only was waiting for Kazuya to come home from Work, take a quick Shower and Change his Clothes. Then they would be going out. Looking at her reflection she smiled. "How is it even possible how much I love that goofball." She muttered then heard his door shut and his Shower turn on a few minutes later. Impure thoughts ran through her mind as she imagined him naked. She blushed a bright shade of red. "Maybe tonight...We both are off tomorrow. No Classes and he is off from Work. So maybe tonight would be a good night for us to...become intimate." She blushed even more.
That night after their date, as they Kissed outside her door. Chizuru made the decision and pulled him inside her Apartment. Closing the door behind him. "Uhm...Chizuru...What are you doing?" He asked nervously and she smiled at him.
"What do you think I am doing? I think or believe that we need to...I need you to spend the night. It is time we...I want us to..." Chizuru drew him further inside and over to her Bed. There she pushed him down onto it and then joined him.
In the Morning she idly twirled her right hand fingers over his bare chest. Frowning slightly at Kazuya who had no idea what to say to her. "I cannot believe you asked me that while we were...What is the matter with you? You do not ask something like that while we are in the midst of...That is totally the wrong time to ask me that!" She declared and Kazuya exhaled with a deep sigh.
"I'm sorry...It just slipped out. I take it that...it is a No." Kazuya said sullenly and Chizuru continued to frown at him.
"I am not going to say that. Not after you told me you love me and then ask me that. It is just the wrong time for you to ask me something like that." Chizuru said completely conflicted. She did not want say yes since he asked at the wrong time and she definitely did not want to say No.
"So if I ask you now...Would that be better?" Kazuya asked her and she smiled.
"Somewhat. Though I would prefer you ask me when we both had clothes on and not naked. Say like in about another hour or so...Ask me that then and when you do...I would have to say...Yes." Chizuru told him and then moved closer to kiss him. Parting she smiled at him as he smiled at her.
"Okay I will. Actually that works out since my Grans gave me a certain item to give to you. When I do ask." Kazuya said and Chizuru began to get up.
"Go get it and then ask me." Chizuru said rushing him to get dressed and go get that item. She said in an hour or so, but she did not want to wait that long. During the time he was gone, she set up her Laptop to record the moment when he asked her. Wanting it so she could send the recording to her Grandmother and his Family. "That would make it easier then telling them." She muttered as she waited for him to return. Then she used her Cellphone and quit being a Rental Girlfriend. A few moments later he did return with a small velvet box. "Okay down on one knee and ask me already." She ordered him and then before he fully asked she accepted. Lunging and almost tackling him as she kissed him.
