School Spirit

October 31st, 1987,

"Do we have to go to this dance?" Hunter a Black Lab groaned. "It's going to be fun!" Cooper, a grey wolf said. "right.." Hunter said as they walked along. The two then walked into the school hearing the music in the gym. "Do you think we made it on time? Cooper asked. "Yeah probably mate," Hunter said as they walked the hall. The two then walked to an entrance that was blocked . "Darn I think we have to go around," Cooper said. "Alright let's go," Hunter said while walking the other way.

The two walked in the dark halls of the high school. Suddenly they heard a sound in the boys bathroom. "Is someone in there?" Cooper asked. "How should I know?" Hunter asked, looking at his friend. "Hello? Is anyone there?" Cooper asked while opening the door. "Hello?" Cooper asked again. "Guess no one's home mate," Hunter said. "Wait, I hear something," Cooper said, listening in. Hunter then sighs and then goes into the bathroom. "See! There's no one here!" Hunter shouted. "Look out!" Cooper shouted as someone in their high school eagle mascot jumped out and cut Hunter's arm with a knife. "Run!" Hunter shouted while holding his arm. Cooper then started running as the person in the costume stabbed Hunter in the back, killing him.

Cooper ran through the hallway screaming hoping to get someone's help. "Help!" Cooper cried out while running through the hall. The person in the mascot costume was walking fast down the hall going after Cooper. Cooper came back to the entrance that was blocked off and tried to open the door. "Help!" Cooper cried while hitting on the door. The mascot killer was now behind Cooper with his knife ready. "Please I won't tell!" Cooper said with tears in his eyes. The killer then looked at him and charged at him with his knife. "Nooo!" Cooper screamed.

(Present day)

October 27th 2021,

Jake, Thomas and Levon, where outside school laying in the grass looking at the sky. "This is amazing" Levon said as he looked at the clouds, "Yeah it is" Thomas replied, Jake stood up " We should get something to eat, i'm hungry" Jake said, " Yeah we should get something from the cafeteria" Thomas replied as everyone stood up and went to the cafeteria, each one of them asked for their stuff and started eating on a table. Just then Liam came up to the table. "Hey mates, the Halloween dance is coming up, are you all gonna go?" Liam asked looking at his friends

"Yeah probably," Thomas said, "for sure," Levon added, "No," Jake said, "Why not?" Thomas asked "Well I hate dancing because i'm pretty bad at it, and my anxiety won't help me at all," Jake explained as he looked a bit mad, " Aw please, come on Jake" Thomas said while looking at Jake, " I said no at that- you know what whatever I'll come", Jake replied to Thomas and went back to eat.

"Awesome!" Thomas said happily.

"So who are you going as to the dance?" Liam asked.

"I'm not really dressing up this year," Thomas said. "How come?" Jake asked. "Just feel a little old for that," Thomas replied. "Right…" Levon said with a chuckle "Well trick or treating is for kids!" Thomas said. "So! I like treats!" Levon chuckled. Thomas laughed and shook his head. "Then you can take our sisters out then," Thomas said as he threw away his tray. The bell then rang and it was time to go inside for afternoon noon classes. "Alright guys let's go," Jake said as he stood up. The four friends then stood up and went to their classes.

After their classes the friends reunited outside and continued talking about the dance

"So at what time should we meet up that day?" Liam asked, "Probably about 6:30 or 7:00" Jake replied as he was looking at his phone, " Yeah that time sounds good!" Thomas said as the friends continued walking

"I don't promise to come but I'll try" Jake said as he placed his phone away, " Hopefully you can" Thomas replied

"Are you scared because of the urban legend Jake?" Liam asked. "What urban legend?" Jake asked. "Oh… you haven't heard?" Liam asked, looking at Jake. "No… what it's the legend?" Jake asked. "Well, legend has it that Cooper wolf and Hunter Labador we're going to the dance back in like the 80's and they were killed in the hallway by the gym," Liam explained. "Really?" Jake asked nervously, he then swallowed hard.

"Yeah, it was a whole massacre," Liam explained. "Really? You're messing with me," Jake said with a nervous chuckle. "I am not!" Liam protested. "It was a real thing at our school," Thomas added. Jake was sweating in fear. "You okay Jake?" Levon asked, looking at his friend. "Y-yeah," Jake replied. "You seem scared," Thomas added. "I-I'm fine really," Jake said, forcing a smile.

Jake continued walking with his friends with a strange feeling in his stomach. "are you sure guys that y'all wanna go? We could go trick or treating instead of going to the dance" Jake said, " Ah please Jake, I wanna be with you at the dance" Thomas said, " ugh alright I'll definitely go whatever" Jake replied looking down at the ground. "But if something goes wrong I told you!" Jake said a bit irritated

Liam and Jake went home while Levon and Thomas went to their house. Bluey and Bingo were playing in the backyard with their friends while Thomas and Levon went to their room and did some homework. Levon was doing his homework on his bed while Thomas was at his desk on his MacBook doing his homework. Thomas then took a break from his homework and started looking up the massacre at their school.

Levon continued doing his homework while Thomas was looking at things about the massacre, "Man I hate math, but I already finished" Levon said with a chuckle as he closed his book and placed it on his nightstand, " What are you looking up?" Levon asked as he walked next to Thomas, " It's about the school massacre" Thomas replied as he turned to see Levon

"W-what?" Levon said a bit nervous as he looked at the computer.

"I guess Liam wasn't lying," Thomas said reading into the online article. "Cooper Wolf and Hunter Labrador were killed that night and the killer was Bear Shepherd, Bear was eighteen at the time and was the school's bully and jock," Thomas explained while reading the article. "Jeez," Levon said, disturbed. "Hey kids!" Bandit shouted coming into the room. "Ah!" Thomas screamed looking at his dad. "Sorry mate, did I scare you?" Bandit asked with a chuckle.

" Yeah but it's okay dad don't worry, Whats up though?" Thomas asked, "Not much, just checking up on you kids and to see what you wanted for dinner," Bandit replied, " Ooh! Can we go get pizza?" Levon asked," Sure mate! Sounds pretty tasty!" Bandit replied as the 3 went downstairs, "Levon!!" Bingo exclaimed while hugging Levon, "Hey baby girl!" Levon said with smile and wagged his tail while hugged bingo,

Bluey hugged Thomas, "oh! " Thomas smiled and hugged Bluey too.

The family went to a pizza parlor near by and sat down at a table. Bluey and Bingo then went to play some games at the nearby arcade. "So how was school?" Chilli asked. "It was good," Thomas said. "Learn anything interesting?" Chilli asked. "Well… there was a massacre at our school years ago," Thomas said. Bandit nearly choked on his soda. "You learned about that?!" Bandit asked. "Actually Liam said there was one and Thomas looked it up," Levon explained. "Were you there dad?" Thomas asked, looking at his father. "I was mate, I was fifteen at the time," Bandit explained.

"That must have been something dad," Levon said as he looked at his father, " Yeah it was" Bandit replied a bit uncomfortable, Levon looked at his dad a bit worried and asked " Is everything okay dad?" Levon asked. "Yeah mate, it's just a bit traumatic to remember what happened" Bandit replied looking down, "Oh I'm sorry dad I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable " Thomas said looking at his dad, " No worries mate" Bandit said to his son and continued eating his pizza. Levon looked at his pizza and started eating it slowly since he didn't want to get full easily. Thomas smiled at his family and continued eating.

A few days later… October 30th,

Thomas was getting stuff out of his locker until he heard Zach was picking on Jake. "Hey! Stop messing with him!" Thomas called out to Zach. Zach looked at Thomas and then pushed Jake to the side. "Happy Halloween losers," Zach said with a smirk. Thomas rolled his eyes and looked at Jake. "You okay?" Thomas asked. "Yeah I'm okay;" Jake said standing up. Thomas nodded as they then went to lunch. Thomas and Jake sat down with Levon. "So… my dad was fifteen when it happened," Thomas said while unpacking his sandwich. "Really?" Jake asked. "Yeah," Thomas answered. Jake ate his sandwich as he looked at Levon. "My Dad said it was a tragedy," Levon said. "And it was," Liam said sitting down. "Why did you bring this up anyway?" Thomas asked. "It's just a scary thing to tell people," Liam said while eating his lunch. Thomas and Levon shook their heads while continuing eating their lunch.

After lunch, the next class was over. Liam was the last one in gym class to get dressed as he was leaving the locker room and the door was locked. "Hey! I'm still here!" Liam called out. Then the lights in the locker room turn off. "Hey!" Liam said, still trying the door. Laim then turned around and saw their school's mascot standing there. "Hey? Can you open the door?" Laim asked. The mascot then titled their head to the left while looking at Liam. "I kinda want to go to my next class please," Liam said nervously . The mascot then started walking towards Liam. "Hey?" Liam said now stepping back. The mascot then picked up speed now with a knife in their hand. "Hey!" Liam shouted as he moved out the way as the mascot stabbed the door.

Liam ran to the other side of the room hoping to find a way out as the killer was chasing after him. "Help!" Liam cries out with tears running down his face. Laim ran into the showers of the locker room and then was trapped. "Help!" Liam cried out again as the mascot came into the showers turning on all the water. With the steam feeling up the room it was hard for Liamto see where he was going. "Help! Please!" Liam cried out. And then without warning Liam was stabbed in the stomach.

Liam fell to the ground now crawling away. The killer looks at Liam and touches the top of the knife, Liam got in a corner and cried pleading for his life, the murder teased him with the knife , throwing it back and forward, The Mascot grabbed Liam and slammed him against the wall, Liam whined and the mascot placed the knife inside Tyros mouth cutting his tongue, the blood started staining the shower floor, The mascot chuckled " This is a warning" The mascot said with a voice changer as he threw Liam across the showers and left, Liam cried in pain on the floor.

Levon, Jake and Thomas walk down the hall as Commotion starts coming from the gym. "I wonder where Liam was during history," Thomas said as they walked. "Yeah, I know it's not like him to miss a class," Lincoln said. "It's Liam!" Said some students down the hall. "What?" Levon said, now running down the hall. "Oh my god!" Levon said seeing his friend all bloody with his cut out. An ambulance had come to the school and taken Liam while Levon, Jake and Thomas had Bandit take them to the hospital.

Thomas, Jake and Levon where extremely confused and scared, The day passed, the next day the three woke up with a text message " You're invited to Zach's Halloween Party" Thomas thought that they could use this to get their minds off what happened to their friend. Levon wasn't really sure, he was scared that what happened to Liam could happen to him, but he decided to accept the invitation.

It was night and the three met up outside of Levon and Thomas's House, " Hey Levon, How are you feeling?" Jake asked. "I'm… not really so good," Levon replied. "I'm sorry to hear that," Jake said. "Maybe the Halloween party tonight will get our minds off of things," Thomas suggested. "I don't know if I want to go," Levon said, putting his hands in the pocket of his denim jacket. "Besides, why do we even want to go to Zach's party?" Jake asked "to crash it of course," Thomas said with a smirk.

"Interesting….Should I bring the smelly silly string?" Levon asked now perking up, "Yes, bring the 3 cans" Thomas replied, Levon went inside to find the silly string, He found it and placed it in his backpack, Levon walked back outside and handed the backpack to Thomas, "Here we go" Levon said chuckling, Thomas smiled and the three walked down the street, Then Jake stopped " Hey I brought these" Jake said and took out 3 masks, " For if someone catches us they won't know who we are" Thomas said, " Exactly!" Jake said.

Now that it was dark, the three of them walked into Zach's house with mostly the whole school there. "This should be fun," Thomas said, putting on his mask. "Yeah!" Jake said. "Right…" Levon said, putting on his mask. The three then walk around the house as everyone else was either drinking or dancing. Thomas and Levon went into one room and sprayed the silly string around while Jake went into another room. Thomas and Levon left the room they were in and went into the room that Jake went into. "Zach's gonna be pissed," Thomas said with a smile. "Yeah he is," Levon said with a laugh. The two noticed Jake was sitting in a chair not moving with his mask on. "Hey Jake, how come you haven't used your silly string?" Thømas asked as he walked up to his friend.

"Jake?" Thomas asked again as he tapped his friend. Suddenly Jake's head fell off of his body. "Holy shit!" Thomas shouted, stepping back from his dead friend. "What the hell?!" Levon shouted, scared. Suddenly the door closed behind them. Thomas and Levon then looked at the door and saw someone in their school mascot with a knife. "Who are you!" Thømas shouted. "You know who I am, Thomas Heeler," The killer said with a voice changer. "I do?" Thomas asked. The killer nodded before taking off his mask. "Oh my god…. Zach?" Levon said, looking at the German Shepherd. "Hey losers happy Halloween," Zach said with a smile. "You killed my friend, you sick fuck!" Thomas shouted. "Yeah, yeah," Zach said with his smirk. "Then you also hurt Liam!" Levon said, pointing at Zach. "Yep I also did that," Zach said with a chuckle. "Why?" Thomas asked.

"Why?! Because! I was finishing my uncles work!" Zach shouted. "Bear Shepherd is your uncle?" Thomas asked. "Yes! Heeler he is!" Zach shouted. "And what work? He killed random kids that night," Jake added. "Not just random kids! Some losers! And who have went for your dad! As well!" Zach said in anger. "Our dad? But he was just fifteen at the time," Thomas said confused.

"There's more to it than that Heeler! Your dad was the one who saw him take off his mask and identify him as the killer! Jake's foster dad was also my uncle's best friend and failed to help him and instead betrayed him! And Liam's parents! Liam's dad stole his mum away from my uncle!" Zach explained. "And now your finishing up loose ends of the next generation," Thomas said, putting the pieces together. "Yes! Now you're getting it! Zach said with a dark smile. Thomas then started laughing. "What's so funny?!" Zach said in anger. "You! You're doing this because you want to be the next big killer!" Thomas said while continuing to laugh. Zach then growled, "shut up Heeler!" Zach shouted.

"Thomas, maybe you shouldn't," Levon said, scared. "Come on Levon this loser right here thinks he's a big shot because his crazy uncle is in prison," Thomas said while rolling with laughter: "stop it!" Zach shouted. "If anyone it's the loser it's Zach," Thomas said continuing to laugh. "Screw you! Ahh!" Zach shouted as he charged at Thomas and Levon. Thomas then pushed Levon out of the way and grabbed Zach's arm stopping him from Stabbing him. "Die!" Zach shouted while trying to stab Thomas. Levon then came from behind Zach and Stabbed him with the tip of an umbrella. Zach screamed in pain as he dropped the knife. Thomas then pushed Zach in the face and knocked him out cold. "How did you know to do that?" Levon asked. "Well if I know Zach, he hates to be one upped," Thomas said as Levon rested his head on his brother's shoulder.

Three weeks later…

Zach sits in his jail cell drawing pictures of himself killing Thomas and Levon. Zach Hysterically laughs at himself while coloring in his picture until his colored pencil broke. "You have a phone call shepherd!" A Guard shouted. Zach then stands up and then is escorted to a phone. Zach picks up to his ear. "Hello?" Zach said through the phone. "Behind you," Someone said with a voice Changer. Zach turns around and was stabbed in the neck with a knife. A person in a mascot costume of an Eagle rips the knife out of Zach's neck and makes Zach choke on his blood. "You're the reason I'm dead!" said the person in the costume. They then reveal themselves to be Zach with his neck torn out.

"Ah!!!" Zach shouted, jerking awake from his sleep. "Let he out! I'll never do it again!" Zach said trying to get out of his jail cell. "How much longer does he have of this?" The guard asked. "Twenty years if he has good behavior," the other guard said. "Let me out!" Zach continued to scream. "It's gonna be a long twenty years," the guard said with a sigh. "Please let me out!" Zach said with tears in his eyes.

"No!!!!"
