On Today's Episode: The spies and the Jellyfish Pirates all book it for the Skywhirl Tower, where Kandinsky is waiting in his secret weapon, ready to show off his ultimate grab bag of magic tricks. Can the spies defeat this strange contraption before Kandinsky can mesmerize the entire population of Tachikawa with his chicanery?

Act 3: The Battle of Your Soul

1:17 A.M. – Tachikawa, Tokyo
The Skywhirl Tower

Thankfully, the Skywhirl Tower was still intact when the spies and Jellyfish Pirates reached it, but there was seemingly no sign of Kandinsky or his secret weapon anywhere in sight.

"Oh, man, did he already vamoose?" Mira asked.

"Nope, I can still sense his thoughts," Nick quipped. "He's at the very tip-top of the tower."

"Well, how are we supposed to get up there in time?" Jam wondered.

In response, Nick just grinned. "Like this," Nick stated. "Everyone, get close to me."

When the entire group was close enough to Nick, he raised his hand and surrounded them all with a large psychic bubble.

"...whoa," Jam gasped. "Can you hold all of us in this bubble thing?"

"If it's just ferrying people around, I could do it in my sleep," Nick teased. "But let's focus on the matter at hand, shall we? Elevator up!"

Nick raised his hand to the sky, and the bubble began to ascend, carrying the team upwards towards the very top of the Skywhirl Tower.

And when they actually reached the top floor and the roof, they could now see Kandinsky and his secret weapon clear as day.

Kandinsky was piloting a massive machine with the appearance of a giant diamond wielding a levitating sword, other smaller diamonds also floating around it, and silver, metal plating with black engravings protecting the machine's main diamond-shaped body. The four smaller diamonds were blue, yellow, red, and violet in coloration.

"I'm not even going to ask anymore," Melissa proclaimed.

"Isn't it magnificent?" Kandinsky laughed. "Sometimes my genius amazes even myself."

"All right, I'm gonna have you stop with the narcissistic comments right there, you nutball," Jam proclaimed, stopping Kandinsky's tirade before it could get out of hand. "I don't care what kind of giant robot you're piloting. We're all going to trash it like I'm sure has been done to you many, many times!"

"Now you're really getting into the Jellyfish Pirates spirit, Jam!" May laughed.

"It's bad enough that you take advantage of my loss, but you crossed the line when you hid yourself behind Johnny's image!" Jam shouted. "And that..."

Jam shifted into a fighting stance as Kandinsky's machine approached them. "...is something I can never forgive!"

"Believe us when we say you don't want to know how many lines you've crossed already," May proclaimed.

"Really, you're a sitting duck now," Sam emphasized to Kandinsky.

"And there's no way you're going to go unpunished for May and I 'up and ditching' our friends for your tomfoolery!" Nick added as well.

"And we don't hold Jam responsible either!" April proclaimed.

"Someone tell me where the budget comes into play here," Nozomi groaned.

Kandinsky wasted no time by aiming a diamond downward as if it were a makeshift anvil.

"Now that's tit for tat," Mat commented.

"Doesn't mean I'm intimidated," Melissa quipped.

Everybody jumped out of the way, but Melissa was already on the rebound with a counterattack, firing a Cyclone Blast Hairdryer into the diamond that was attacking her and pushing it back into the machine.

"Bullseye!" Melissa exclaimed.

"Come on, guys," Sam replied in her leader tone. "There's no way Nick, May, Melissa, and Jam are going at this alone!"

"I'm with ya, Sammy," Alex quipped.

"Let's see if you can keep your eye on this birdie!" Kandinsky exclaimed as the red diamond and the purple diamond moved to the front of the machine and collided with each other, creating a powerful shockwave that flew towards the spies.

Alex quickly countered with a Sonic Disintegrator Boombox, the sound waves dissipating the shockwave instantly.

Nick took this opportunity to fire a Final Shine Attack into the machine, causing it to reel back slightly before resuming its attack by switching to the yellow diamond.

"This may come as a shock to you," Kandinsky laughed as the yellow diamond levitated above the spies before dropping lightning bolts on them..

Nick quickly raised his hand to protect everyone in the lightning's path with a psychic bubble.

"That was low," Nick growled.

"Ask me if I care," Kandinsky laughed as he renewed his attack.

"I think we've almost got him," Blaine replied.

"Here's hoping," Clover replied, knowing Kandinsky's illusions made him a formidable opponent.

"HA HA! You wretches have not seen what else this good invention of mine can do!" Kandinsky sneered.

He activated another crystal to fire balls of snow and fire at the spies, but instead of falling to the ground and being useless, they all chased everyone.

"HEY! WHAT GIVES?!" Souji screamed.

Sam and Britney reacted quickly with Laser Lipsticks and Ice Queen Perfumes and fired them at the bullets, the Laser Lipsticks at the snow bullets and the Ice Queen Perfume at the fire bullets.

"Great thinking, ladies!" Haruka proclaimed.

She and Bridget jumped on that boat and did the same thing even as Kandinsky switched to the blue diamond and unleashed what appeared to be a blizzard aimed to keep Haruka and Bridget away.

"Oh, please," Bridget quipped as she reached for her brooch. "Sonic Mode, online!"

Emerald electricity lanced around Bridget before forming into her new Sonic Mode outfit, and she took off, running through the blizzard before equipping a Metal Masher Boxing Glove, leaping into the air, and punching the blue diamond with it.

The force of the punch combined with Bridget's velocity and the kinetic energy she'd gathered from running created an explosion of emerald lightning that shattered the blue diamond into pieces.

"One down!" Bridget exclaimed.

"You spies are becoming very meddlesome," Kandinsky coldly complained. "How about you take this..."

The violet and yellow diamonds activated at the same time to form another clone of Millia, the exact same villain who murdered Johnny all those missions ago.

"Oh my!" April uttered.

"You can make picture perfect clones, but you're STILL not guaranteed a win, Kandinsky!" May proclaimed.

"Ah ha," Kandinsky sneered. "That's where you're wrong..."

This clone of Millia had more powers in her that the old Millia did not have.

"Looks like we're gonna have our hands full, guys," May told everyone.

"You know something?" Jam proclaimed. "I'm okay with this. Because that means I get to put this faker back in the ground where she belongs."

"You'll die trying," Millia laughed as she swung her katana and fired a pair of energy blades towards the spies. Sam moved quickly to use an All-Weather Umbrella to defend against the energy blades.

Nick fired a Final Shine Attack at Millia, but much to his surprise, she actually raised her katana and absorbed the blast into her blade.

"How the...?" Nick gasped.

"Benefits of my magic," Kandinsky laughed.

Millia quickly swung her katana again to send that Final Shine Attack right back at Nick, though May was able to push him away from the blast just in time.

"Oof, I did not expect that," Nick quipped. "Thanks for the save, May."

"It's what any good girlfriend would do," May giggled as she kissed Nick on the cheek. "But seriously, how many times is this nutcase going to come back to haunt me?!"

"I thought I said as much during our last meeting," Millia chuckled. "I will never stop haunting you. Just get it through your thick skull and die already."

Before Millia could bum-rush May, Jam had jumped in and whacked Millia across the head with a flying kick.

"You're mine," Jam growled. "You may not remember me, but I definitely have a score to settle with you."

"Am I supposed to remember you?" Millia sneered, raising her katana.

The yellow diamond of Kandinsky's machine fired another stream of lightning downwards so that Millia could absorb it into her katana's blade, then swung it to unleash all of that lightning straight for a prone Jam.

Nick reacted quickly, raising his hand to create a psychic barrier in front of Jam. Even though the barrier shattered when the lightning hit it, none of the lightning hit Jam.

"I'd think you should, given you killed someone very special to me," Jam taunted, running forward and actually snatching May's anchor from her hands.

Though Millia attempted to dodge away, Nick snatched her in his psychic hold, knowing what Jam was about to do.

Though it was hard for Jam to hold the anchor, she persisted, running forward until she was close enough to Millia, and with one massive home-run swing, clocked Millia in the chest with the anchor and sent the assassin flying backwards into the yellow diamond.

The instant Millia collided with the diamond, her body splintered before exploding in a flash of magical light, and the yellow diamond shattered into pieces as well.

"Nice one, Jam!" Mira exclaimed.

"Way to show her who's boss!" Yuki shouted.

"That was for Johnny, you son of a bitch," Jam proclaimed.

"Clearly, you didn't study up on rules for villains, number eighty-seven," Haruka taunted. "Don't bring back past failures and expect them to succeed this time around!"

"Oh, don't think I'm done with you yet," Kandinsky retorted as the red and violet diamonds moved into a defensive position in front of the machine.

The red diamond began pelting more fireballs at the spies, but Clover countered with a blast from an Ultra High Pressure Water Cannon, giving Nick ample opportunity to blast the red diamond with a Final Shine Attack, destroying that one as well.

"You're running out of options, magic man!" Alex exclaimed. "I'd suggest you pack it in while you still have your dignity!"

"So sorry, but your little request has been denied," Kandinsky laughed as the violet diamond flew to just above the spies and surrounded them with a well of dark purple energy that forced them to their knees from the overwhelming gravity around them.

May, who had escaped the gravity well simply by not being close enough, decided to go after the final diamond herself.

"Hey, mister magic mess!" April exclaimed as the Jellyfish Pirates all started taunting Kandinsky in multiple different ways (was flipping the bird really necessary, Souji? May thought).

When she realized that the Jellyfish Pirates were distracting Kandinsky, May knew what she had to do, and took off into the air to start attacking the violet diamond.

"Come on, give it up, old timer!" Akira laughed. "You couldn't hit the broad side of a space barn with that lame-ass magic!"

"You'll learn the hard way that you shouldn't taunt a magician," Kandinsky growled as his machine advanced on the Jellyfish Pirates.

After multiple anchor swings, May finally managed to destroy the violet diamond, dispelling the gravity well and allowing the spies to stand up again.

"Yikes, that was not pleasant," Britney quipped. "Thanks for saving our butts, May."

"Any time," May giggled. "I think we need to take that machine out quickly, while the others are distracting Kandinsky. What do you say, you wanna bust out the Vortex Blaster?"

"I'm all for that!" Alex exclaimed. "Let's put 'em together!"

Jam noticed the spies grabbing the gadgets they'd need out of the corner of her eye, and ran over to join the Jellyfish Pirates in taunting Kandinsky so the spies could put their weapon together.

Sam started first, producing an Electromagnetic Curling Iron and tossing it to Nick. Alex followed up with a Laser Lipstick and a Wind Tunnel 9000. Nick connected the Laser Lipstick right above the barrel of the Electromagnetic Curling Iron, and the Wind Tunnel 9000 on top of the ECM, just behind the control panel. Clover finished by throwing Nick a Helicopter Hand Fan and a pair of wings from a spare Jetpack Backpack. Nick attached the Helicopter Hand Fan to the underside of the ECM's barrel, then placed the wings on either side of the ECM.

The combination weapon now complete, Sam, Alex, and Clover joined Nick to hold the weapon, Sam and Alex holding the jetpack wings, Clover grasping the side handle and Nick holding the main handle, his finger on the firing trigger.

"Okay, target sighted," Sam proclaimed. "Let's put Kandinsky back where he belongs."

"Don't have to tell me twice!" Alex laughed.

"Say goodnight, you washout!" Clover exclaimed.

"Let's do it, ladies!" Nick shouted.

"FIRE!" the four of them shouted together as Nick pulled the firing trigger.

The blades of the Helicopter Hand Fan extended outward and started spinning rapidly. Nick pulled the trigger again, and the Electromagnetic Curling Iron, the Laser Lipstick, and the Wind Tunnel 9000 all fired their payload into the spinning blades. Two seconds later, the Vortex Blaster unleashed a massive four-way blast consisting of a large electromagnetic beam surrounded by a spiraling wind blast and a barrage of laser bolts.

The blast screamed through the air and collided with Kandinsky's machine, causing massive damage and making it collapse to the 'ground'. The Jellyfish Pirates all ran in the opposite direction as the machine exploded violently, Kandinsky managing to eject just in time.

As Kandinsky tumbled to the ground, he found himself in front of Jam, who was appropriately angry with him for everything he'd pulled.

"Et tu, Jam?" Kandinsky quipped.

"Oh, hell no, don't you even pull that card with me," Jam shot back. "After what you did, you don't deserve any mercy from me."

Before Kandinsky could beg for any kind of reprieve, Jam slipped behind him and knocked him unconscious with one quick chop to the back of his neck.

"All right, that finally shut him up," Jam quipped. "Nick, go ahead and bubble him up."

"With gusto," Nick responded, raising his hand to encase the out-cold Kandinsky in a psychic bubble before sending it towards the approaching W.O.O.H.P. chopper. "That's our boss, by the way. He's got impeccable timing when it comes to apprehend our baddies once we take them down."

"I can see that," Jam chuckled.

"Marvelous performance as always, everyone," Jerry proclaimed.

"We've got mister magic man locked up nice and tight for his trip back to containment," RiCO responded. "Are you all coming along for the ride, too?"

"It's pretty late, isn't it?" Clover quipped. "I do need my beauty sleep, remember?"

"Yes, we remember, Clover," Nozomi teased.

"...actually, could all of you come with me before you head home?" Jam asked. "There's one place I want to go."

The Jellyfish Pirates all nodded, knowing exactly what Jam wanted to do.

("Toumei na Sekai" by Little Glee Monster plays)

"Hey, Johnny, it's me," Jam stated as she, the spies, and the Jellyfish Pirates all gathered by Johnny's grave. "I really do regret not trying to get in contact more before you passed away. Life's a bitch sometimes, as I'm sure you know pretty well."

Jam looked over at Ami's grave, the two headstones only inches apart from each other. May had wanted it that way.

"I know you'd probably say things like 'it's not your fault' or 'don't worry about it', and that's so like you, really," Jam continued, trying to hold in her tears for as long as she could, knowing they'd be falling soon enough. "I still feel bad for not being there more often."

Try as she might, Jam couldn't stop the tears any longer and she fell to her knees, crying her heart out.

"I... I'm sorry, Johnny, I'm so sorry! I wish I could have been there for you!" Jam cried. May was immediately over there to hug Jam, followed by the rest of the Jellyfish Pirates.

"Don't blame yourself, okay, Jam?" Mira stated. "I know we've probably said it a bunch of times, but you're not at fault for this."

"Besides, look at it this way," Dizzy replied. "Both Johnny and Ami would want you to remember them as the amazing people they were in their lives, instead of mourning for your entire life."

"If you ever break into a bunch of little pieces, we'll pick up those pieces and put them back together for you," April proclaimed. "That's what friends do, right?"

"And it's one of the vows we made when we formed the Jellyfish Pirates," Yuki stated.

"...thank you, everyone," Jam sobbed, still crying but with a smile on her face. "You really are the best friends I could have asked for, and I'm glad that hasn't changed after all this time..."

"...on that note," Mira proclaimed. "Jam, I've got a question for you. Would you like to join the Jellyfish Pirates?"

Needless to say, Jam had not been expecting that question.

"M-Me?" Jam gasped. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah, we think you'd be a perfect fit!" April responded.

"I think it's what Johnny would have wanted, too," May stated.

Jam thought it over for a few seconds before coming to her decision.

"Well, I'd say you've got a new member of the crew," Jam laughed.

The Jellyfish Pirates all cheered as they welcomed their member, and the spies all said their goodbyes for now as they jumped into the W.O.O.H.P. chopper.

As the chopper flew away from Tachikawa, Jam watched it disappear into the distance and smiled.

I know you'd be proud of me, Johnny, Jam thought.

2:55 P.M. – Malibu University
The Spies' Penthouse

After a night's sleep, the spies luckily had no classes the next day. They decided to detox from the mission with a pool day. Mat had just come out to check on the 2009 Daytona Supercross, which was airing on TV soon.

"Heads up..." Nick laughed as he and Haruka used the up-and-over move on Alex and Bridget.

"HEY!" Alex screamed as Nick and Haruka submerged both she and Bridget.

"Sneaky sneaky," Bridget laughed after she saw that was Nick and Haruka.

As was becoming a norm, May always did her usual pirate dives; this time, she didn't land on anybody (thankfully maybe). Mat came jumping in afterwards. Seeing Mat not as upset over things lately sure put a smile in Sam's heart; same went for Britney and Melissa, and everyone else for that matter.

"Now you know how I feel," Clover chuckled.

At then, Melissa and Dawn schemed up the perfect retaliation plan on Nick and May for "up and ditching them" as Melissa put it, even with the legitimate circumstances.

"Okay, let's go for it," Dawn giggled as she and Melissa saw that May was about to attempt another pirate dive.

However, first, May checked her X-Powder and saw a message from the Jellyfish Pirates concerning Jam.

And May couldn't help but smile when she saw the picture they'd taken, a group photo of all the current members, with Jam standing in front to emphasize her status as the newest member.

Hey, May, we decided to take another photo now that Jam's on the team! Another memory for the collection, as Johnny would have said.

Kisses,
Mira

"Another memory for the collection," May repeated.

Simultaneously, Mat kept an eye on the time and told some of the spies he was going inside to take a break and watch the Daytona race since it was airing soon.

"Up to you if you want to come in and watch," Mat told them.

"Some of us will be," Blaine replied.

Nick nodded at that.

"Dude, I'm just glad you're not as pissed as you were before," Nick told him.

"Maybe I'll come in for the mains at least," Melissa told Mat.

Sam was no different, as was Britney.

"That should be a good series," Haruka commented.

Mat then noticed Melissa and Dawn coming near May, and Melissa made the quiet motion to him. He complied and went away.

"Here comes another..." May started before her arms were restrained by Melissa and Dawn.

"Not so fast, Pirate Girl," Dawn chuckled.

"HEY, WHAT GIVES?!" May screamed.

"Sorry, May," Melissa laughed. "But because you and Nick 'up and ditched' us, despite the legit circumstances... that's not going unnoticed to us."

Despite May struggled, both Dawn and Melissa managed to pick up May and throw her in the pool... on top of Nick.

Naturally, Nick sputtered slightly upon resurfacing, having not expected that particular attack.

"May, what the heck?" Nick gasped.

"Wasn't me that time!" May exclaimed. "Melissa threw me on top of you! Something about payback..."

"...oh, that makes sense," Nick quipped.

"Ooh, now things are even," Britney giggled.

"Oh, are they now?" Nick chuckled, raising his right hand to psychically raise some water from the pool and splash Melissa and Dawn directly.

"H-Hey, hey, no fair using your powers!" Melissa shouted.

"All's fair in love and water fights, am I right?" Nick teased.

"All right-y, then, you asked for it!" Dawn exclaimed as she and Melissa dove in after Nick.

In the meantime, Mat had prepared a snack and a late lunch as he tuned in to the 2009 Daytona Supercross by Honda. Calling the race was the usual team of Ralph Sheheen, 1997 Supercross champ Jeff Emig, and pit reporter Erin Bates. Currently, he'd just seen the first Supercross heat race go to San Manuel Yamaha's James Stewart #7 and heat 2 was just about to start.

Ralph: And Chad Reed... thought he had a win last year here... came up what? Two corners short...?

Jeff: Yeah.

Ralph: ...when he sunk the bike to the bottom of the pond?

"Oh yeah," Mat groaned, knowing that moment really stung one year ago when Reed's Yamaha overheated in the muddy conditions.

"Hey, I said I was sorry!" Melissa chastised as she came in with Nick.

Mat could hear them going at it as the gate dropped for heat 2.

"Sorry, Mat, but..." Melissa started until she got interrupted at an "OH NO!" from Mat as Honda privateer Shaun Skinner got the early lead until...

Ralph: [Shaun] SKINNER'S BIKE JUST STALLED ON HIM!

Skinner had pounded his seat in frustration.

Jeff: UNBELIEVABLE! HE HOLESHOTS THE HEAT RACE AT THE DAYTONA SUPERCROSS AND SOMETHING GOES WRONG!

"Ouch," Melissa quipped.

"No kidding," Nick replied.

Currently, Team Yamaha's Josh Hill #75 led the way.

"Anyway, Melissa, you should sit with your boyfriend," Nick teased.

Melissa would have sputtered out a half-hearted "what", but Nick had already returned to the pool.

"...somebody want to fill me in?" Mat wondered as he ate his "late" lunch.

Simultaneously, Mat noticed Suzuki's Chad Reed was reeling in race leader Hill for the heat victory with 5 of 8 laps completed.

"Oh, it's only the heat," Melissa replied.

"Reed looks good," Mat told them.

With a lap to go, Reed was all over Hill, but both combatants bobbled – Hill first, then Reed.

Ralph: JOSH HILL WINS HIS FIRST HEAT RACE OF 2009! A huge win for the 75 of Josh Hill!

Nick then went back out while Melissa just sat with Mat and shared some snacks with him.

As the program went on, Sam came in just as the Lites main event was starting. Mat and Melissa noticed this as Sam came to them, green swimsuit on and all.

"I think some of you worked up an appetite," Mat told Sam.

"Yep," Sam giggled as she went away to get her engagement ring.

Sam returned in time to see a piece between Chad Reed and Kevin Windham over reliving the 2008 Daytona Supercross that was won by Windham after Reed's Yamaha went up in a plume of white smoke.

"Poor Reed," Sam stated.

"Why does your stuff always break when you don't want it to?" Melissa quipped.

"Like Chad Reed said," Mat groaned. "That still hurts to see it again."

Just before the Lites main started, "The GOAT" Ricky Carmichael joined up in the booth to call the mains.

The Lites main event started with a bad crash from Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Austin Stroupe #981 before the completion of the first lap, along with a couple more crashes from others. It turned into a fight between Stroupe's Pro Circuit teammate and points leader Christophe Pourcel and KTM's Martin Davalos for the lead. The win had gone to Pro Circuit's Pourcel with KTM's Davalos in 2nd, and Suzuki's Nico Izzi in 3rd.

The rest of the spy friends came in, but May, Haruka, and Bridget had some news to share, too.

"We have a road trip with the Water Polo team coming up," Bridget told them.

"Which means we likely won't be around for the next mission," May quipped.

"Oh, bummer," Alex replied, slightly bummed. "But GO MALI-U!"

"We'll do what we can," Haruka quipped.

On a different note, there was also a pit report from Erin Bates that this would be Kevin Windham's 150th Supercross start. Mike LaRocco was the leader with 228.

Ralph: In case you were wondering, Ricky, you had 115 starts.

Ricky: Not even close to 150...

"I didn't even know either," Mat laughed.

The Supercross class main was close to beginning, but highlights of the LCQ showed 4th place in points Josh Grant on his #33 Joe Gibbs Racing Yamaha have a BAD crash in the LCQ while he was one spot out of making the main. Grant had gotten sideways and was thrown off his YZ450F like a wild bull, but Grant was able to hobble off the track and get to safety. Team Honda's Davi Millsaps and Ivan Tedesco made it out of the LCQ.

"YIKES," May proclaimed.

"I concur," Nozomi replied. "I really hope Grant's gonna be all right."

"Yeah, it's not fun to be thrown from your own ride like that," Nick stated.

"That's not good," Mat grimaced. "And Grant's tied for 4th in the points standings."

"Is that what you meant by 'learning curve,' Mat?" May wondered.

"Yep," Mat replied with a nod.

The gate dropped for the 20-lap main, and everybody reacted at a MASSIVE first turn pileup... which involved the #7 Yamaha of James Stewart and at least 7 other riders in the 20-man field.

Ralph: JAMES STEWART IS CAUGHT UP IN THAT! HERE COMES REED! REED'S GONNA GET THROUGH! JOSH HILL IS CAUGHT UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THAT!

Ricky: OH MY GOSH!

"And the madness keeps piling on!" Dawn shouted.

"You're telling me," Blaine quipped.

Jeff: [Kyle] Chisholm's down!

Ricky: STEWART'S GETTING ON THE WRONG BIKE!

Mat's jaw had completely dropped as he noted what Carmichael saw – Stewart was trying to get on Hill's Yamaha, and Hill pointed Stewart to where his own Yamaha was.

"That's what I call a REAL MESS!" Bridget commented.

Ralph: MIKE ALESSI'S GOT THE HOLESHOT AND THIS JUST TURNS THE CHAMPIONSHIP COMPLETELY UPSIDE-DOWN!

Stewart was trying to restart his Yamaha, but his bike was twisted badly. Finally, Stewart was able to bump-start his Yamaha and get going, but his helmet visor was ripped off as well.

Ralph: What does he do?

Jeff: He charges hard for 20 laps!

That's when a replay came up. It showed Stewart wheelied a bit, and his front wheel locked up, which caused Stewart to crash and be smothered by bikes coming every which way.

Jeff: Michael Byrne looked like he had the start...

"Oh, gosh..." Mat cringed as Byrne's Suzuki swapped sideways and Byrne was thrown into oncoming bikes into the first turn.

The replay continued on even to when Stewart picked up Hill's Yamaha.

Ralph: And that's Josh Hill's machine, he grabs the wrong bike, and Hill's like, "Thanks for picking it up! Now, get off of it – that's mine – go get your own!"

Ricky: Yeah, man... his bike was...

"Holy shit!" Nick remarked, as if he couldn't say anything more.

Ralph: Is he dazed? Is he dazed?

Jeff: He might've hit his head... definitely.

"Wow, that's happened to Stewart how many times now?" Dawn wondered.

Ricky: I think Hill ran over his helmet, man.

"At first I found it a little funny, but not anymore," Alex replied after the replay ended.

Alessi had the lead, but Jason Lawrence on his #338 white AM/PM Boost Mobile Yamaha was pressing for the lead.

Ralph: ...and, Jeff, think about this: the last time an active Lites rider, which Jason Lawrence is, won a Supercross main event was John Dowd in Charlotte back in 1998... on a Yamaha!

Jeff: Wow!

Ralph: A little history could be made here tonight!

"That's pretty crazy!" Melissa exclaimed.

The timing and scoring showed Chad Reed in 8th and Stewart in 19th. On lap 3, Lawrence made the move on Alessi for the lead!

Jeff: We weren't even sure Lawrence was even going to be racing here... lines up, amazes everybody by setting the fastest lap in qualifying... now, he's out leading the main event with the two top stars buried way back in the pack, which certainly increases his chances of actually taking this thing for 20 laps!

Then, the next shot showed Kawasaki's Tim Ferry out of the race and checking his ankle.

Jeff: Doesn't look like there was any pain on his face...

Jason Lawrence led the way while Chad Reed was fighting up to the front. On lap 4, Reed was already up to 5th. Mat could see another possible present being given to Chad Reed here, too.

"I can already see the win coming," Mat told the others as another grin on his face started coming.

"With Stewart so far back, I can, too," Blaine commented.

"If this works out, I hope he won't do the same thing that got you so pissed, Mat," May replied.

By lap 10, Reed had moved up to 2nd place.

"Yeah, I can see it, too," Nick replied, happy for Mat, as the race came to a close.

With only 4 laps to go, Reed had caught race leader Lawrence. Lawrence put up no fight and let Reed by for the lead. Mat was VERY happy about that now.

Jeff: He's not in the championship – that was VERY RESPECTFUL of Lawrence! He's gone out here, he's led the main event, but Chad Reed, now across the line with 3 to go...

Ricky: Wow...

Jeff: He's gonna win the Daytona Supercross!

Ralph: And that was THREE VERY BIG POINTS with that move from Chad Reed...

Sam could see the big grin on Mat's face, leaning over to kiss him on the cheek in preparation for the big victory.

With Reed leading the way, all that was left to watch was a battle for 3rd between Mike Alessi and Davi Millsaps. It ended when Millsaps went for a block pass on Alessi and put him down. Millsaps was able to stay upright and continue on.

"Nice one," Melissa giggled.

"And away he goes!" Alex laughed.

Chad Reed went unchallenged and eventually took the win at Daytona, much to Mat's delight. It was Reed's second win in a row of the '09 season, and his third career win at Daytona; Lawrence and Millsaps rounded out the top 3. As for James Stewart, bent-up Yamaha and all, he fought back for a 7th place finish, which gave Reed an 11-point gap.

Jeff: How about it though? Chad Reed – TWO IN A ROW AND TAKES THE POINTS LEAD AT DAYTONA!

Ralph: And last year, he was two corners SHORT of winning it as well... would have been his 4th here tonight when the bike sunk to the bottom of the lake!

Everyone looked to see Mat was pumping his fists at how the Daytona Supercross turned out.

As the spies all celebrated the victory, May's X-Powder beeped again, this time being a message from Jam herself.

And when she got a good look at what was attached to the message, May couldn't help but let a few tears fall.

It was a picture from a few years ago of Jam and Johnny, arms around each other and grinning like idiots.

Hey, May, I'm sorry I got all up in your face about what happened to Johnny, even if I wasn't in my right mind. You know, I never told you this, but I always knew you'd be a great leader one of these days. And even if Mira's the current captain, I will always see you as the glue that holds the Jellyfish Pirates together. Never stop being that glue, 'kay?

Much love,
Jam

Totally Spies: Memory's Echoes
~The End~

Final Note from Mat49324: Well, we end another one here! Yeah, I know the epilogue's a little extended, but hey, I like what I write, and I take what I find to be "good sound bytes" as a journalist would say. Anyway, as long as you like our projects – outside of the sub-plot or epilogue or anything – that'll suffice for us. Anyway, we hope you will also stay tuned for our next project, which will be on my page, and will send the spies into the future again to stop not one, but TWO baddies trying to ruin the future world. Who? You'll have to read and find out. For now, here's The Blue Time Ranger for his final thoughts.

Final Note from The Blue Time Ranger: And that's a wrap on the latest adventure with the Jellyfish Pirates! I had some good fun with this one, finally getting to show off Johnny's old girlfriend, since we've barely touched on her for most of The New Adventures' six seasons so far. Oh, and by the way, to jettmanas, I know that most of the Guilty Gear characters aren't technically my OCs, but sometimes I like to adapt the characters to other situations depending on the story. It's like I say in the disclaimer, "Any characters or things we don't own, we are just borrowing with no intent of copyright infringement, only for the entertainment of our readers". Hope that clears a thing or two up, I may not have communicated it well.

And finally, let's talk about what's coming up next on Totally Spies: The New Adventures! We haven't seen Klee and Kana or any of the future spies since the end of A Crack in Time, and Mat came up with an idea that I couldn't possibly refuse, given it involves a certain psycho ex. And you all know how fun it is to beat down on him, right? We've got all the time in the world next time on Future Frenzy, which will be posted by Mat. So, until next time, have a fantastic day, don't listen to the screeching morons, enjoy this preview of Future Frenzy, and we'll see you next mission!

"...okay, so, let me get this straight. You're saying you can travel through time?" James asked as he glanced in confusion at Boogie Gus, the fellow baddie who was trying to pitch his latest plan to him.

"You really didn't know that I could do that?" Boogie Gus gasped in mock surprise. "Man, kids these days are so jaded..."

"Well, sorry that I don't know everything about their rogues' gallery," James retorted.

"If you weren't so overwhelmingly focused on the green-suited spring chicken, then you'd probably be more willing to pay attention," Boogie Gus sighed. "But, enough of that for now. I've got a real wing-dinger of a scheme this time."

"If it's something that'll help me make Sam mine, then I'm in," James cackled.

"Oh, trust me, this plan will let both of us take our rich revengeance on these crazy crackers," Boogie Gus chuckled. "This may upset you, but I just learned that Sam has a daughter far in the future."

"Wait, in the future?" James wondered.

"Time traveler, dude," Boogie Gus quipped. "And so do Nick and Alex, and she's that other little psychic brat."

"Wait, she's their daughter?!" James gasped. "No one told me that! I just thought she had similar powers!"

"Okay, okay, one thing at a time, dude," Boogie Gus stated. "I'm gonna send you to that future so you can mess up their future selves' happy life, and I'm sure that'll send your present-day squeeze running there so you can take 'em both."

"...that sounds devilishly fun," James cackled. "When can we head out?"

Boogie Gus raised a device on his watch to open a swirling, dark red portal behind them. "Right now, if you're so impatient," Boogie Gus laughed.
