Chapter 5: Auditions: Star vs Colette
Colette had just burst open through the doors in an overly dramatic fashion, like the diva that she thinks she is.
The fake redhead smirked, walking down the aisle like she owned the place, which may not be too far from the truth in her mind only. All the while, her eyes were on Danny, who wanted to hide right now.
"Bonjour. I do hope that you will enjoy what I bring to the stage with you~..."She said before the fake redhead gave Danny a wink.
"Oh no!..."The boy shuddered as he watched the girl step between him and his girlfriend.
Star stormed in and was now in front of the girl, not wanting her near Danny. She even kept her arms out in a protective manner.
They both instantly knew that the redheaded witch was up to no good and figured she was seeking to get her hands on Danny again, something the blonde girl would not stand for.
"Colette, what are you doing here?! I know that you are WAY too stuck up to even bother auditioning for a public school play?!..."Star said, holding her arms out as she glared.
Her stepsister just sent her a smug look and an equally smug reply as she waved her hand dismissively.
"True. Normally I would never even consider taking part of this pitiful performance, but then I learned that Mon Amore is going to be in zis play...so naturally, I know that I am fated to be his Hermia and he is to become my darling Lysander...which is the only saving grace in this pitiful play. It is as simple as that..."Colette said, wanting nothing more than to play out as Danny's leading lady in the school play.
"What?! You can't be serious!..."Star yelled.
"Deadly serious. As serious as ze shark attack..."Colette said arrogantly, giving a mocking smile.
"Now step aside, I have a pitiful play to improve..."She said, pushing her out of the way. "Soon, the whole school will see with their own eyes that Danny and I have such wonderful chemistry..."Colette said, smiling at him.
"We do not!..."Danny yelled.
"You say that now, but just you wait. You will see how much we are meant for each other once we share zee spotlight together..."Colette said, winking at him and enraging her step-sister even more.
"Over my dead body!..."Star yelled, ready to throttle her for that.
"Do not tempt me!..."Colette said as she turned away from her.
She then directed her attention her object of desire, the boy they both want.
"I shall be with you in a moment, Mon Amore. I only need to show all these amateur thespians how it iz done, but I shall return..."She said before blowing a kiss towards Danny and waved at him as she headed for the stage, ignoring his disgusted looks.
The ghost boy wanted nothing more than to see a doctor right now, actually feeling sick as he saw the gesture from the fake redhead. He was even more sick of the mere idea of Colette being his co-star and having to spend an indefinite amount of time with her "rehearsing", particularly with the LOVE scenes!
"I can't believe I miss that boxing tournament right now!..."He thought in dread.
He suddenly regretted deciding to do this play for a lousy 10% raise on his grade. He almost wished for a ghost to appear, just to scare her off before Lancer decided to make Colette his co-star. He had no issue with who it could be.
"Life, if there ever was a time to hit me, please do it in the form of the Box Ghost annoying everyone into fleeing in fear...or even Skulker wanting nothing more than to get my pelt…"Danny mentally prayed, being that desperate as he looked for a way out of this predicament or just hoped that Colette flops her audition.
But his hopes were dashed as no ghosts appeared as the French girl auditioned for the role of Hermia. And unfortunately for him, she wasn't doing a bad job.
Quite the opposite as she did well.
"Why are you grown so rude? what change is this? Sweet love,—..."Colette began dramatically, and with the right expression to boot.
She was speaking in a far different tone than the one she usually talks in, moving in a graceful and elegant manner as she performed.
To Danny and Star's dismay, the spoiled brat was giving a fairly decent performance for Hermia and even the teacher/director genuinely impressed by this performance.
"And scene!..."Colette said, finishing her audition.
"Thank you, Miss Bevier. That was an exceptional performance..."Mr. Lancer said, as he applauded her as that was the best impression of Hermia he has seen all day.
"Tell me something that I do not know..."Colette said smugly glancing at Star with a cocky attitude.
"Well, if no one else is going to audition for Hermia, then-..."The teacher said, writing something down and the ghost boy began to panic.
"No! Please no! Anyone but Colette!..."Danny thought in a panic, as the extra credit and space convention wasn't worth it if it mean dealing with his stalker.
Thankfully, salvation came in the most beautiful of ways as his girlfriend marched up to the stage, pushed her step sister out of the way, turned to Lancer and pointed to herself.
"Hold up, I still haven't auditioned yet!..."Star said, not letting her wick stepsister have things go her way.
Colette looked ticked by what she did while the director seemed confused, almost lost at the blonde girl's sudden 180.
"I thought that you said that you were going to sit this event out..."Mr. Lancer said, but the blonde girl shook her head.
She sent a glare at Colette, making it clear that she wasn't going to sit by and let her wicked step sister take advantage of this situation if she can help it
"I changed my mind, I'm auditioning for Hermia. I can make a sudden decision..."Star said as she went up on stage, crossing her arms. "Is that gonna be a problem, Mr. Lancer?..."She went, looking intense and almost glared at the director in question.
"Uh...no..."Mr. Lancer said as the blonde girl then decided to try.
The blonde girl then marched to the middle of the stage, taking the spotlight away from her step sister and began to ready herself.
"If I'm gonna protect my Danny, I gotta get this role!..."Star thought in a protective manner as she prepared for her audition.
Thankfully, she had helped Danny practice his lines during free period and lunch time. Not to mention, she studied the entire story for the test, as well as having seen this play live with her mother when she was a kid, so she knows a thing or two about Shakespeare plays, especially this one.
She cleared her throat and then turned to the audience, giving it her all as she tried to act as naturally as possibly as she recited her lines.
"Through the forest have I gone. But Athenian found I none, on whose eyes I might approve this flower's force in stirring love..."Star said, giving a passionate performance and had all eyes on her.
The blonde girl then continued, giving her all as she spoke the words from the play.
"Night and silence.-Who is here? Weeds of Athens he doth wear. This is he, my master said, despised the Athenian maid, And here the maiden, sleeping sound, On the dank and dirty ground..."She continued, letting it all come out smoothly and naturally.
As she gave her performance, Danny was praying that she'd get the part and seemed hopeful that she was doing so well. Colette, on the other hand, crossed her arms and hoped for the exact opposite.
"Estelle is so predictable! Whatever! I am a much better actress than her, and I shall be the one starring with Mon Amore in zis play, not her!..."She thought angrily, determined to become Hermia to Danny's Lysander and spend so much time with him.
Her stepsister, however, continued with her audition and did so without any trouble.
Soon, Star was finishing up her audition and gave her most convincing performance yet. She even got on her knees to make the dramatic tone better.
"Pretty soul! she durst not lie near this lack-love, this kill-courtesy. Churl, upon thy eyes I throw all the power this charm doth owe. When thou wakest, let love forbid sleep his seat on thy eyelid. So awake when I am gone, for I must now to Oberon..."The blonde girl said in a graceful, passionate tone as she looked in Danny's direction, speaking so fluently with emotion that it seems her feelings for him were leaking out as she let her body act out how she was feeling as she looked at him.
Soon, she finished and bowed to everyone.
"And...scene!..."She declared, smiling as everyone began to applaud her and they clearly all loved her acting, but none more than Danny.
"Awesome, Star! That was amazing!..."Danny said, hoping that she got the part.
"Thank you..."Star said as she did a graceful bow as the others applauded her performance, including the director.
"Well, done, Miss Strong. Better than I expected..."Mr. Lancer said as he was almost tearing in joy, truly impressed by this.
Colette gasped upon hearing that and felt outraged.
"Zhis iz ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous! I did it better! I was clearly the better actress! You all saw!..."She said, stomping her foot like a spoiled brat.
"What wrong Colette? Don't like having a little competition?..."Star asked mockingly, making the spoiled rich girl's face turn redder than her fake hair.
"Do not tempt me, Estelle!..."She said, looking ticked.
"Tempt what? You running home, crying to that shameless womanizer you have for a dad?" Star questioned, striking a nerve.
"You mean the same one whom Mama chose over that sorry excuse of a father of yours!..." Colette yelled, angering the blonde girl more.
"At least my dad actually bothers to show up and wants to spend time together instead of just giving a credit card to avoid dealing with you!..."Star yelled, making the red haired girl scream indignantly at that remark.
"I will destroy you for that!..."She screamed, red in the face and ready to claw her.
"Girls! Enough!..." Lancer went, wanting them to break it up.
The two girls continued glaring at each other, like two cats fighting over the same fish and this cat fight would have gotten really ugly had the educator not intervened.
Either way, Star and Colette still glared daggers at each other. It was clear that they wanted nothing more than to destroy the other right now. They couldn't physically harm one another, so there was one other way to do it.
They both turned to Mr. Lancer, wanting him to take a side.
"So, who is gonna be Hermia?!..."Star asked the play's director, hoping that she won.
"Yes, tell us Monsieur Lancer!..."Colette said, as she glared at her stepsister, wanting that role.
"I am afraid that I will have to give my answer tomorrow, in order to place everyone in their respective roles without any outside interference..."Mr. Lancer said, taking his role at school play director far too seriously.
"Tomorrow?!..."They all exclaimed, all looking upset.
"Yes, tomorrow! I have to be fair and judge the rest of the students that couldn't make it today. The auditions do last until then, in case another potential actor wishes to be part of my masterpiece..."He said, pointing at the schedule on his notepad.
The ghost boy heard this and felt a wave of dread wash over him, as well as a migraine. He rubbed his forehead to soothe the pain of irritation.
"So, I gotta wait 24 hours before I have to decide whether or not to pretend to be sick and let the understudy take my place! Unbelievable!..."Danny thought, tapping his foot as he planned.
That's when he noticed someone approaching him, someone he didn't want to see as it was the same person who made him so sick every time they crossed paths.
"I look forward to working with you on this play, Darling. We can go to the penthouse when Papa is not looking, and do some rehearing together...like zee kissing scenes~..."Colette said, fluttering her eyelashes at him.
Danny felt his skin crawl and even wanted to vomit at the mere idea of that ever happening. The more he was exposed to her, the less tolerance he had!
"So NOT gonna happen in this or any other lifetime!..."He said, angry as she refused to back-off.
Star roughly shoved Colette away from him. Her arms were once again out in a protective stance between her loving boyfriend and her hated stepsister.
"Don't get cocky, Colette! Mr. Lancer hasn't decided who Hermia is gonna be yet!..."Star said in a hostile way as she stayed close to Danny in order to protect him from this witch.
Colette sent her a dirty look and resisted the urge to give an un-ladylike growl, as she simply recollected herself and continued to look down on her stepsister/rival.
"It is obvious, that it shall be moi! I am a star of zis play in this backwater town. I shall be the best thing this town has to offer. Besides, whom do you believe deserves the role more...zee most beautiful, refined and graceful girl in Amity Park, whom already has everything else she needs...or you?..."Colette asked in a snarky way.
Star huffed at her and resisted the urge to punch her for that.
"Keep dreaming Colette, cause that's not gonna happen! Try anything and that won't be extra mascara on your eye!..."Star said, as she glared down the fake redhead.
The teacher/director then approached, using his megaphone and made a loud noise to gain everyone's attention.
"Enough you two, I admire this kind of fire and dedication for the arts, but save it for, after you all get your actual roles tomorrow!..."The teacher said, wagging his finger at them.
"Keep your fists away from each other or it's detention. Also, auditions will be over in ten minutes, so either try again or go home..."He said, as he going through all the other auditions that were left.
Colette huffed at Star before looking away, wanting Star to leave already.
"Let's go, Boo. I need someplace to de-stress..."The blonde girl said as he grabbed Danny by the hand and lead him out.
"I do believe that you mean to be stressful for him, mom petite sœur!..."The fake redhead said before walking away but not before another attempt to hit on Danny.
"Call me, Mon Amore. I look forward to rehearsing and our acting debut..."Colette called out to Danny and waved out.
"Please, please, please let Star get the role! Otherwise, I'd be open to someone freeing the Ghost King again..."Danny internally begged, knowing that somewhere out there somebody had to be listening to his prayers.
Jazz saw this and felt pity for her brother, knowing how much he cannot stand Colette and how his hopes for extra credit became far more difficult now. Not to mention, it would be absolutely sickening if that spoiled brat ended up with the lead role.
"Poor Danny, this experience is either gonna amazing or stressful..."Jazz thought as she watched him leave with Star, clearly dreading what tomorrow may have in store.
Danny and Star left together, wanting to find something to get their minds off Colette. As they left, Sam and Tucker stood up from their seats and saw the distress on their friend's face, as well as anxiety for tomorrow.
"Why am I not surprised that Colette would try and ruin everything?..."Sam asked, since it would be hard to enjoy seeing Danny in dorky tights while reciting Shakespeare if he had to do it with that witch.
"One thing that's for sure...tomorrow is gonna guaranteed one sweet cat fight. I can't wait to record the whole thing..."Tucker said, glad that he got that new app that made the recording on his PDA in HD.
Sam glared at him for that. Before she could chide him, Mr. Lancer spotted them and and immediately called them out.
"You two! This isn't some movie theater! If you aren't going to audition for the play, then we have plenty of jobs for stage crew!..."Lancer said as he crossed his arms.
"Uh... we're here to wish a friend good luck..." Sam said, but the teacher wasn't having it.
He then pointed to a sign that was near the entrance.
"Did you not see the sign? Only people who want to audition for the play or people wanting to work backstage are allowed. So, which is it?..." Lancer asked, as he waited for their responses with his arms crossed.
"Uhh..." The two went in unison.
"Hmm... how's this? Audition now, if I like it, you get a part, if not, you both get jobs on the stage crew. Fair?..."The teacher said, with a hint of sarcasm at the end.
Lancer walked away before the two could answer.
"D'oh!..."Sam said, not wanting a part.
"How'd this happen?..."Tucker asked as they walked to the stage.
"We should have just gone straight home...or hid to avoid getting spotted..."The goth girl said, hating this.
"I really don't want to be part of stage crew. But I also don't want to be seen on stage and especially with tights on..."Tucker said, still recalling how uncomfortable they were in the last play he was in.
He only joined for the chance to help Danny out...and hit on girls too...which didn't work out too well.
His gothic friend just sighed. She didn't want to be in a play that probably wouldn't let her wear any dark clothes or something less medieval. Still, the idea of stage crew work was too tiring, so she decided to try.
"Let's just audition, give a half-hearted performance, get turned down and leave. If he wants us on stage work, let's just act clumsy. Either way, no way that we can do any worse than Dash did..."Sam said, planning on giving a mediocre performance.
"I guess you right about that..."Tucker said, seeing her logic.
They both went to the stage. Tucker went first, choosing a line he remembered Danny practicing and decided to wing it, not putting too much effort into his performance
"Now the hungry lion roars, and the wolf behowls the moon. Whilst the heavy ploughman snores, all with weary task fordone-..."The techno-geek said in an over the top fashion, not even bothering to sound natural and dignified.
He didn't even bother to remember who the character he's doing a fake audition for is. He noticed that this didn't seem to impress the teacher/directors so far, so he felt some hope that he'd be rejected.
After him, Sam just repeated a shorter line that she recalled seeing someone else say earlier, trying to sound as pathetic as possible, hoping that this over and done with.
"Over hill, over dale, thorough bush, thorough brier, over park, over pale. Thorough flood, thorough fire, I do wander everywhere, swifter than the moon's sphere.."Sam said in an uninspired way, not even bothering to take it seriously.
Like Tucker, she had no idea which character she auditioned for, or that the tone she used actually fit. Still, the response that they were getting from the balding teacher/director was nonexistent. Mr. Lancer just gave a blank stare, seemingly unresponsive right now.
"So...how was that?..."Tucker asked, hoping that they'll be rejected and they can leave.
To their shock, the teacher/director just smiled and clapped his hands, surprising both teens.
"Wonderful. I have the perfect parts for the both of you..."He said.
"What?! Why?!..."Sam asked, wondering what was happening.
"Because we are really understaffed and I need enough actors to fill in the rest of the roster, but don't worry, I'll let you know tomorrow what your roles will be, one last thing to ask...Mr. Foley, how do you feel about tights?..."He said, while the techno-geek began to sweat in nervousness.
"And Ms. Manson? How do you feel about wearing something colorful? Actually, your opinion means nothing at all because those are the only parts you'll be able to have unless you want to do stage work... What do you say?..."He said, making it clear those are their only options.
He tapped his foot, waiting for an answer.
Tucker and Sam both blanched in horror. As neither of them could see any way to get out of this, now that they've both been dragged into this play, one way or the other.
"On one hand... I hate any color that isn't black... on the other hand... I also hate doing labor. Ugh... which do I hate more? It's like choosing two kids..." Sam asked herself, finding this to be a hard choice to make.
"Aww man! Well, it beats carrying heavy stuff, making background sets or doing make up for people. I don't know about you, but I ain't carrying anything over 10 pounds..." Tucker said.
The goth girl thought about it some more, and then saw some of the kids on stage crew were having trouble carrying a fancy couch needed for the play and she cringed. The hypothetical child she suggested was chosen.
"Labor... I hate labor more..." Sam gave in.
"Wonderful, anyway, you'll get your assigned roles tomorrow after school. I'll see you all during rehearsal starting tomorrow..."Mr. Lancer said before wagging his finger again. "And attendance is mandatory!..."He added, making it clear that they don't have a say in this.
Once he left, the goth girl and the tech geek were cursing their luck.
"Why do I get the feeling that we made the wrong choice?..."Sam asked, feeling pessimistic right now.
"Because we probably did..."Tucker said, already regretting this
The two of them soon left to rejoin Danny and Star. The members of Team Phantom were all dreading what fate and Mr. Lancer has in store for them tomorrow after school.
Unknown to them, someone watched them leave the auditorium and was smirking.
"A high school play I doth now see. I wonder what delights they'll have for me..."The figure thought, knowing that this play will be very interesting now.
Later
Danny, Star and the others arrived to his house and were alone. Danny's parents were out, which gave them plenty of privacy to vent and complain about their misfortunes, clearly unhappy with how things have been playing out.
Unlike the last school play, they were not dealing with a theater obsessed ghost that has a bad habit of over-acting. No, it's much worse.
This time, they were dealing with a stuck-up brat who also doubles as a stalker who can't accept that no means no. The ghost boy was disappointed with how this turned out, while his girlfriend wasn't too happy about the whole ordeal, to say the least.
"I can't believe this!..."Star yelled as she punched one of Mrs. Fenton's punching bags, needing something to take her aggression out on.
She hit it so hard that it nearly tore it open, which she didn't care about. She looked absolutely livid over what had happened today at the auditions.
She had honestly been happy that her boyfriend got a part in the play, even more when it was one of the leads but Colette had to go and ruin everything by showing up and demanding to be his co-star!
She wasn't the only one upset as her man was bemoaning his terrible luck.
"I can't believe that I may have to be in a play with Colette of all people, all for some lousy 10 percent extra credit! This is almost not worth it!..."Danny complained, only saying "almost" because Lancer's decision hasn't been made yet.
There is still a chance that his girlfriend got the part, but they won't know until tomorrow. And honestly, the uncertainty was just unbearable for the both of them.
"I can't believe that she even had the nerve to audition as an excuse to be around you! Oh, wait. I can. Because she's a witch who gets her jollies from trying to mess up my life! AH!..."Star yelled before she punched the item again, imagining her step-sisters smug face as she did so.
This time she actually did manage break Maddie's punching bag by tearing into it. Her boyfriend and his friends saw this and saw the rice inside falling out.
"Wow...that was not cheap..."He commented, both intimidated and captivated by her strength.
"I'll buy your mom a new one later. After I feel like I've punched Colette's stupid face hard enough..."Star grumbled, huffing hard.
She was too frustrated with her step-sister and having taken it out on the workout equipment. As she huffed, Danny continued to try and calm her down, but to no avail.
Not to mention, he was still upset with this whole situation too.
"I was just hoping that the worst would be to memorize hundreds of boring lines, trying to avoid getting late to rehearsal with Lancer, put on a dorky costume and chaffing tights and put on a cheesy act in front of the entire school, our parents and a bunch of strangers in the audience...not trying to keep my SANITY in tact and avoiding Colette's advances during that whole mess. This stinks!..."Danny said, cursing his bad luck even more now.
"Totally! I was okay with being your number one fan and seeing you act with some drama kid actress since I know that a play kiss means nothing and the other girls know that you're mine and I know they wouldn't try anything with you but not if it's Colette! That's where I draw the line!..."Star said, punching the bag once more as this was really personal for her.
The punching bag fell over, spilling more onto the floor, but she didn't even care to notice right now. She was nearly in a blinding rage at the mere thought of spoiled rotten step-sister who can't accept that Danny is HER boyfriend and he would never want that little witch.
"How do you think we feel? We didn't even want to be in that play, but now Lancer is making us participate against our will. I don't wanna wear tights but I also don't wanna do hard labor!..."Tucker complained.
"I just hope that the costume won't be pink..."Sam said with a shudder, dreading this.
"Who cares about that?! Colette is trying to abuse the situation just to get to my boyfriend! Again! So, sorry but I don't have time to be sympathetic to your problems!..."Star yelled, fuming mad.
This made her boyfriend get up and hold her back.
"Starlight, calm down. You gave a great performance. I'm sure that Mr. Lancer will give you the part..."Danny said, trying to calm you down.
"And if not...maybe it's not too late to pretend to be sick..."Tucker said, not helping the situation much.
"That or break Colette's leg..."Star said bitterly, crossing her arms.
"Not that I care about what happens to her and she might have it coming, but I'm pretty sure your folks might ground you maiming her...even if you have a good reason to do it..."Danny muttered.
"Fine, then we could lock her in a broom closet and keep her there until after the play is ovr...or after graduation and feed her PB & J sandwiches, though she'd probably starve than eat them..."Star said, earning a laugh from her boyfriend.
"As temping as that idea is, why don't we keep that as a plan B for now. I don't wanna waste perfectly good peanut butter on her...at least not yet..."He said.
"Fine..."Star said, calming down a bit.
Her boyfriend smiled at her as he began to reassure her about their situation.
"Star, I mean it. You were amazing and no matter what, you're the only leading lady in my life. Not Colette. If I have to, I'll even tape my mouth..."Danny said, knowing he's against the kiss too.
"Let's hope it doesn't get there, sounds painful..."Star said.
"Not as painful as getting kissed by her. That girl is a restraining order waiting to happen one day. That or I scare her out of town like with your evil ex-granny..."Danny said, earning a smile from her.
"Believe me, the only reason I haven't asked you to do that is because my mom, for reasons I never will understand, thinks that Colette can change for the better and she doesn't want that brat and Jean-Luc to leave her..."Star muttered before shaking her head.
"And I thought not believing in ghosts sounds crazy..."Danny said, surprised to hear that.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure that you won't have to deal with Colette and that she doesn't lay a hand on you..."Star said, placing a hand on his face.
"You don't have to worry. If worse comes to worse, I can always drop out of the play and..deal with the consequences later..."Danny said.
"But you'll lose that extra credit if you drop out, Lancer made that explicitly clear!..."Star reminded, as that was why he did this and the drama-obsessed teacher was very clear on that.
"It's not worth it if it means putting up with Colette and I know you wouldn't be able to stand it either..."He said, knowing that the play would be just awful if she was his co-star.
"I can just wait for the next space convention to come around. I heard that Wisconsin will be hosting the next one in about two years from now..."Danny said, but his girlfriend shook her head, as she refused to let her boyfriend miss out such a rare opportunity to meet people from NASA.
"No way, I know that convention means the world to you and it's not fair that you'd have to miss out on it because of that witch with hair extensions..."Star said, looking pretty determined right now.
"But I..."He was cut off by his girlfriend, who placed her finger to his lips.
She shook her head.
"No "buts". We're gonna make this work, one way or another. I swear it..."She said, feeling confident and optimistic.
Danny looked at her, then smiled feeling reassured just from her words.
"I promise, I will be Hermia and you won't have to deal with Colette or sacrifice the space convention. It's my duty as your one true love to prioritize your happiness and well being, and keep Collette away from you at all costs..."Star said, sounding protective.
Danny sent her a smile, looking at her lovingly for how stunning she looks whenever she's confident. It made her even more beautiful and amazing than usual.
"Oh Starlight, I'm so glad that you're in my life..."The ghost boy said, very affectionate in his words.
"Oh, Danny Boo~..."Star said, blushing and smiling.
The two shared a kiss and their anxiety calmed down a bit, both taking a sigh. Once they pulled away, they both smiled.
"Okay, I'm feeling a little better now..."Danny said, holding her.
"Good, because there's plenty more where that came from..."Star said, being as loving as ever around him before kissing him again.
"Gross...part dos!..."Sam said, rolling her eyes. "This is almost worse than actually being part of this play..."She muttered.
"That's probably the opening act..."Tucker muttered, as he had a feeling that they weren't finished.
Once the happy couple pulled away, they locked hands with each other. Both of them were now optimistic and deciding to have a date right now to cheer themselves up.
"Come on, let's go get some ice cream to take our minds off Colette and the auditions. We need it after the headache that witch caused..."Danny said.
"You sure? So soon?..."Star asked, more in the mood to kiss him since his parents are still out.
"Danny? Star? Guys?..."Jazz called as she appeared with her diary and some notes in her hands.
"What is it Jazz?..."Danny asked.
"Can you guys help me out? I really need a second opinion..."Jazz said, looking upset about something.
"What happened?..."Star asked, while the red haired girl entered.
"It's my journals! After what happened with Spike, I am trying to reevaluate my current methods in doctor patient communication. As well as skim for minuscule errors in my analysis of him and my other patients..."Jazz said, still reeling from the shock that she was wrong about Spike.
And Jazz absolutely HATED being wrong.
Her brother saw what the problem is and frowned, knowing that this would be a bad experience.
"Jazz, you're not gonna become a basket case again like during mom and dad's anniversary, are you?..."Danny asked, already guessing where this is going.
"I'm NOT a basket case! Every compelling case about my clients well-being was made clear and the collection of evidence I had made me sure that I was correct...but if I was wrong about Spike, I'm worried about all the students that I've helped out were misdiagnosed. I got to reevaluate everything! It'll take hours..."Jazz said, sounding distressed and impatient.
Realizing that she was determined for help and that she was serious about all of this, the other teens turned to each other and nodded.
"Ice cream it is..."Danny and Star both said as they walked out the door together, leaving the red-haired girl agape by their sudden departure.
His friends didn't want to be involved in this either.
"Uh...sorry, Jazz...but I...I promised my mom that I'd help her turn our family photo album all digital when I got home. Can't keep her waiting..."Tucker said as he left.
"And I don't want to be a part of your latest episode, Jazz. Later..."Sam said, not even bothering with an excuse as she walked out.
Jazz looked offended and huffed.
"I'm not having an episode! I just want to see where I went wrong and fix the error like a good psychologist should!..."She yelled, but they already left.
She pouted, unable to believe that they just ditched her like this.
"They just left, so rude! They'll be singing a much different tune once they start asking for psychological help..."She complained before she went back to reevaluating all the data she had collected on Spike first.
As she did this, Danny and Star had left, both unaware of what's coming next.
One thing that is certain, things were going to get more dramatic and heated once Mr. Lancer assigns everyone's role tomorrow afternoon.

5) I thought it be nice to add him to the story.
6) He probably felt tired of all the secrets at that point.
Jebest4781: Sorry, no spoilers. We will have to wait and see what happens.
CZS4: Unfortunately, she doesn't.
Invader Johnny: You got that right.
Guest: You got that right.
Eecobeo: I added Spike because I thought he would be an interesting addition, and I wasn't trying to bully Jazz. I just wanted to point out that while she does mean well, she can be overly enthusiastic when she tries to help others and sometimes either does more harm than good or she misunderstands the situation, which she needs to realize if she wants to improve as a therapist. Even so, Spike realizes this and still wants to hang out with her.
Hmilles02: Thank you :)
Here are my responses to your questions:
1) I think it would be an interesting concept, but I still see Danny loving his parents and vice-verse.
2) It definitely would be different, if the concept of being "half-ghost" wasn't involved.
3) Not sure to be honest.
4) I think it make things harder for Danny without his friends support from the beginning.
5) Honestly, I don't think it would change their sibling dynamic all that much, as Danny is already protective of Jazz as it is.
Jay The Average Fanboy: Thank you :)
Here are my responses to your questions:
1) I'd say Sonic the hedgehog and Knuckles.
2) It would probably be Romeo and Juliet or something like that.
3) I'd say that they are about the same height.
Qazse: Yeah.
:) I hope you enjoyed this! Remember to read and review :)
