Chapter 5: Lillie is safe: Informing the Future In-laws & friends

Shortly after, the duel between the girls and Crump happened as Ash tried to keep Lillie from freezing from that experience against one of the
Big 5. Meanwhile, Goh was trying to communicate with the original Dimension they were from.
"Man, Goh, you are trying hard to communicate with where you guys are from? I'm still getting over what you all told me about the whole Pokemon stuff?" Tea said to Goh, who sighed as it sounded more straightforward to explain about Pokemon than play duel monsters.
"At least he's trying to get it done, Tea. Besides, I'm sure Lillie's mother is worried about Lillie and would love to know that she is safe so far," Yugi said to Tea as Lillie, Ash, and Snowy had sweatdrops on their faces.
"Worried wouldn't be the half of it when we tell her what happened to Lillie," Ash said to Yugi, who was confused about what Ash meant. Goh finally managed to get through his Pokephone/Pokedex to the Aethir Foundation.
"Ah, finally got through. Hello, this is Goh. We've been trying to reach you guys since we arrived in this Dimension," Goh was interrupted by Lusamine.
"Is Lillie with you two? Is she alright," Lusamine said to Goh and Ash through the phone.
"Yes, mom, I'm safe with Ash and some new friends," Lillie said, preparing for what was to come.
"AH, LILLIE, SWEETIE, I BEEN SO WORRIED ABOUT YOU. YOUR FATHER, BROTHER, AND I WERE TRYING NOT TO STRESS OVER YOUR DISAPPEARANCE. AND TRYING TO PREPARE THINGS FOR THE WEDDING WHENEVER YOU GET BACK," Lusamine said, gushing and being her usual hyper self which Lillie was as red as a Tomotto Berry right at this point.
"MOM! Stop it, remember you gave us your blessings, and no need to act like that around me," Lillie said as she was trying to hide her shivering along with her embarrassment Lusamine noticed Lillie being cold and went into strict mother mode.
"What happened? Why is she acting like she is cold? What Dimension are you in?" Lusamine asked.
Lillie turned to Yugi and Tea and Ash and Goh's Pokemon. "You might want to prepare yourselves," Lillie said to them, who nodded as Snowy covered her ears, knowing what was to come. Lillie explained everything to her mother, and Gladdion and Mohn also listened in and knew what was coming.
Lillie finished talking and prepared for what was coming. "So you are telling me that you're life was put in danger to the point that Ash saved your life once more," Lusamine said to Lillie, Goh, and Ash, who nodded. "I'm GOING TO MURDER THAT FABA FOR PUTTING YOU IN DANGER ONCE AGAIN," Lusamine started to rant and swear on the phone to the point you could swear Yugi's friends could hear it.
Lusamine was still ranting as everyone had an anime Sweatdrop on their faces. Even Lucario was covering his ears and could feel multiple waves of aura just coming from the alpha female of Mistress Lillie's family. As Goh can see, Gladdion and Mohn are holding her back from fighting the screen.
During all that tirade, Goh gets a phone call from that. "Oh, I'm sorry I got to take this phone call. I'll call you right back."
"This is Bull, *Click" as Goh puts her on hold and takes the phone call.
Everyone sighed upon hearing that. "Thanks for the heads up on that, Lillie. Wow, I wasn't expecting someone to speak like that," Yugi said to Lillie. "I would hate to see if it was your grandfather acted like that, Yugi," Yami said to Yugi, who shuddered at that.
Snowy uncovered her ears upon not hearing the cussing and sighed as Lucario noticed this as well and waS concerned about Ash and Lillie's relationship just from all that.
"Car, Lucario? (Is your grandmother, aka the alpha female of your mistress's family, always like that?)." Lucario asked Snowy, who sighed.
"Vulpix Vul (You don't know the half of it that's tame compared to what she's gone through)," Snowy said to Lucario.
"Chu chu Pikachu (Only when it comes to her family can she fly off the handle if something happens to her)," Pikachu explained to Lucario, and Snowy nodded at what Pikachu said.
"I taken that this isn't the first time she went mental?" Yugi asked Ash, who nodded as he noticed that Lucario was interested and worried about Ash.
Ash explained what happened in the past during his year in Alola and all that. "And I would. have thought that Marik possessed her from how she was acting," Yugi said to Ash, curious about who he was.
Ash was about to ask who Marik was when Goh screamed. "What? Now? But I'm out of the area right now, and you want to start this now?" Goh asked the person on the phone and sighed. "Okay, I'll try to think of some way to get back to start the mission," Goh said on the phone.
"What's wrong, Goh?" Ash asked Goh, who looked down.
"I might have to leave the group. Project Mew's final mission is just about to start," Goh said, upset. Ash was surprised as well as Lillie, as they were hoping that Goh would stay for a while.
"Can you try to tell them that we are in the middle of our own mission?" Ash asked Goh, who shook his head.
"Sadly, no, I tried to, but they said that this isn't up for negotiation, especially considering how far I am in the Project," Goh said to Ash, who sighed.
"Let's let the others know about this before we do something," Lillie said to Goh, who forgot that he still had Lusamine on hold and ended the hold. Only for Lusamine to finish her swearing.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but we have something else come up," Goh said to Lusamine, to who Gladion was listening. Goh explained what happened during the held call and that he might have to return to their Dimension for it.
"And there is nothing you can do about it?" Gladion asked Goh, who sighed and shook his head. "Then I'll take your place until further notice," Gladion said to Goh, surprised by this.
"Gladion, you sure?" Goh asked Gladion, who nodded.
"This is my sister. You are talking about Goh, and you are needed somewhere to complete your goal and dream," Gladion said to Goh, who was sad but understood why Gladion would say that and nodded.
"I'll try contacting Solgaleo to return Goh and pick you up, Gladion, but this might also put you in trouble as well?" Ash said to Gladion, who humphed.
"Ash, I've been through worse, and I can handle whatever is happening in that Dimension," Gladion said. "And it's better than what will happen if mother goes there?" Gladion said to Ash, who nodded in understanding.
Ash managed to get Solegalao to return to where the group was, explained what was going on, and asked if could he Gladion to this Dimension with him. Solgaleo nodded as Goh hopped on Solgaleo. Yugi and the others were impressed by the size of this Lion Pokemon standing in front of them.
"I'll try to get this mission done as soon as possible. I want some action with all of this, given that this is an adventure and all that," Goh said to Ash.
Chase your dreams, and we'll keep in contact with you," Ash said to Goh, who nodded as Solgaleo took off into the dimension hole back to Ash and Goh's Dimension.
Goh finally arrived in Ash and Goh's Dimension and at the Aether foundation, where Chloe, Gladdion, Lusamine, and Mohn were. "Well, I'm back. Hopefully, I can get this mission done in time to help Ash out," Goh said to the others and contacted Ash. "I'm back in our Dimension. Best of luck."
Ash nodded as Gladion hopped on Solgaleo and was about to take off when Chloe spoke up. "I'm coming with you?" Chloe said to Gladdion, who was surprised by this.
"Sorry, Chloe, but you will stay here. Who knows what is in store for you? We could use your support here," Goh said to her, who pouted.
"Seems like we have another couple on our hands," Lillie said as Goh forgot that he didn't hang up the phone.
"No, that is not why I wanted her to stay, and no, we aren't a couple, so stop it, Lillie," Goh said to Lillie, who giggled.
Gladion took off with Solgaleo as everyone hoped he would get there quickly. Goh sadly took his leave after repeating goodbye, just as a few familiar faces showed up. Brock, Misty, May, Max, Dawn, Cillian, Iris, Bonnie, Clemont, and Serena, which Ash noticed.
"You guys are here. I'm happy to see you all," Ash said on the phone as Serena showed concern upon seeing Ash.
"We heard that something was going on over here. What is going on? Are you okay?" Serena asked Ash.
"We were attacked by Team Rocket a day ago and Lillie was captured by them and transfered to another dimension," Ash explained what had happened so far up till now. Serena was curious about Lillie and all that.
Ash noticed and knew that Serena had a crush on him and hated to say this, but he had to tell the truth and explained it to Serena. The latter looked very crushed. Despite her maturity since her departure from the group, as her Pokemon noticed, Delphox comforted her.
"Serena, I know that you have a crush on me, and I may be dense, but I have noticed your feelings, but it's just something that I've grown accustomed to when I was around Lillie. I do want us to be on good terms with each other. I'm sorry, it's just after I won the Alola league and spent time with her, it just happened," Ash said to Serena, who clenched her hand, but calmed down.
"I understand, Ash, you were why I began my journey in the first place. I have grown a lot and gotten stronger as a person both during our journey and after it," Serena said, wiping a tear from her eye. "I'm happy for you. Can I speak to Lillie for a second? Nothing malicous or anything. I want to talk," Serena said as Ash sighed and nodded.
Ash handed the phone to Lillie, who was nervous about what Ash's friend was about to say. "Hello?" Lillie said.
"Listen, Lillie. I've known Ash since I was a kid and am happy for you two, so I will be blunt here. Don't break Ash's heart just like he did to me here, please," Serena said to Lillie, who was surprised and nodded. "If you do, I will have to deal with you and then Ash if that does happen," Serena said in an indignant tone.
"Deal, I promise, and please forgive me, Serena. I have heard a lot about you from Ash, Chloe, and Goh, and I must admit I'm happy to meet you and hope we can be friends," Lillie said to Serena as she was glad that she could call Serena a friend.
Serena smiled, knowing what Lillie meant, and could see that she was a lovely person and let it go though Serena was still upset by Ash's decision and wished she had told him sooner. Bonnie and Max noticed this and decided to break the ice about this downer moment.
"Well, Max and I started our Journeys just recently, and I have Squishy on my team," Bonnie said to Ash, who was surprised and knew what that meant.
"So that means the vines are now gone for good, it seems?" Ash said to Bonnie, who nodded.
"Yep, Greninja is now free to return whenever you are ready for him one day, and I know that he could help you in the Masters 8, maybe a rematch against Alain or Diantha?" Bonnie said to Ash, who smiled and turned to Max.
"Been a while, Ash. Remember that Ralts, whom I helped late into our journey he's a Gallade now. I was hoping to battle you while I was here, as promised, but I can wait just like I waited to become a trainer. Also, Bonnie and I are traveling together," Max said to Ash, who smiled as Bonnie blushed at him talking about that.
"I promise I will battle you, Max, and maybe Bonnie when I get home. That's a promise even after the Masters 8 but not as a member but as a friend," Ash said to them. Ash noticed Bonnie's blush and didn't force the situation but was happy for them.
Meanwhile, Noah, Annie, and Oakley as Noah were talking to Johnson about Crump's loss. "I can't trust any of you if you can't win against Kaiba's friends," Noah said to Johnson.
"Master Noah, don't be so rash. I promise that I will get a win for you, and" Johnson was interrupted by Noah.
"Gansley and Crump were defeated by Yugi and our new friends Ash and Lillie. Do you think you can win against them, let alone one of Yugi's friends? I should delete you five from existence for making me look bad," Noah said to Johnson, who was scared.
"Wait, if I face the weakest of Yugi's friends, that being Joey, I should be able to win," Johnson said to Noah, who laughed.
"Weakest, he's more of a duelist than you will ever be, Johnson. If you want to prove to me that you are worthy of my time, then I hope you can win," Noah said to Johnson, who sighed in relief.
"I promise you I will get you a win no matter what, Johnson out," Johnson said as the call ended.
"I'm surprised that you didn't wipe him from existence just for that, Noah," Oakley said to Noah, who turned to her. "I mean, he's a lawyer, and most are willing to do anything to win. I'd say keep an eye out on him during this duel because I have a feeling that he might betray you," Oakley said to Noah.
"I don't trust Johnson, to be honest. Of all the members of the Big 5. He's the one who has been a thorn in my side, trying to prove himself to me. I believe Gozoboro Kaiba was planning on getting rid of him before Seto came into the picture," Noah said to the two girls, who have now grown on Noah and are now second in command to him.
Meanwhile, Joey was trying to find his way out of the mansion that Noah had put him in. Joey finally found what looked to be a way out of the house and saw the Kaiba Corp blimp.
"Sweet. Hey guys, I found the blimp here's hoping to get a way out of here after I find where the others hopefully," Joey said. Joey went inside the blimp and made his way to where Mai was, who was still in a coma from the Shadow realm duel against Marik. "Mai, I promise you that I will get you out of this situation once Marik is through and out of this situation," Joey said to the unconscious Mai, only for her to wake up.
"Ah, Mai, you are awake...wait a minute, this shouldn't be a thing. It's one of Noah's tricks," Joey said, seeing right through this.
"Hump, you aren't as stupid as you look, young Joesph," A male voice came out of Mai as he changed into a guy. "Name's Johnson, the lawyer for Kaiba Korp and member of the Big 5," Johnson said to Joey, who wasn't happy to see him through the word lawyer made him think of something.
"Good, I want to sue you for what you did to us back in the virtual world game and almost killing us," Joey said, glaring at Johnson, who held his arm out.
"Relax, Joesph. You can try to make your way through our duel/court, as for what happened. Sadly, it's been a year and past the statute of limitations," Johnson said to Joey, who gulped upon hearing the word court as the room changed the cause of all this to make it look like a courtroom.
Johnson was in the judge's chair, looking like a duel monster. "Let the duel between Joesph and the honorable Judgeman now commence," Johnson said to Joey. "Now, will the accused now pick out his deck from the card database in front of him," Johnson said as a more comprehensive selection of cards was shown in front of Joey, who was making his deck out of cards he could use.
Joey's deck was now shown on his duel disk, and he knew who to pick. "My deck master will be The Flame Swordsman. What is the monster you will be choosing?" Joey said as the Flame Swordsman stood beside Joey.
"My deck master is the Judgeman monster, so now, if there aren't any more delays, lets get this started, young Joesph," Johnson said.

Meanwhile, Ash and the others were transversing through the Artic area, hoping to find a way off the Island. Ash gave Lillie his coat so she wouldn't freeze more.
"Thanks, Ash, for that. Are you sure you won't be cold from this?" Lillie said to Ash, who shook his head.
"No, you were almost a full icicle, so you earned it, and hopefully, we can find a way out of her," Ash said to Lillie.
"I hope that the rest of our friends are safe and aren't in danger like you two were?" Yugi said to Lillie and Tea, who nodded as Gladdion was curious about Yugi's friends and what was happening. They saw a door not far from where the group was.
"Hey, maybe that is the way out of this area. We used it earlier?" Yugi said to everyone, who sighed that Ash was worried it would lead them to a maze again.
"I don't sense another maze in that doorway, master, but I do sense two people on the other side of that doorway and a strange aura coming from it. Tread carefully," Lucario said via his aura to Ash, who nodded.
"I have a feeling that one of your friends is behind that door, Yugi," Ash said to Yugi though Ash wondered what kind of Aura Lucario meant.
Yugi and the others made their way toward the doorway and headed inside the door to see that Joey was up against one of the Big 5

"Joey, are you on trial or something? It looks like a court?" Yugi said to his friend that Lillie felt better and that she was now in a warm area, not in the cold.
"Order, the order in the court. I will not let any more interruptions in this duel. You are lucky that I ain't throwing you out for contempt of court," Johnson said to Yugi and the group.
Everyone started heading toward the seating behind Joey as. Joey noticed Ash, Lillie, and Gladion. "Hey, Yug, who are these three?" Joey said to Yugi, wondering who they were.
"We can talk about that later. Let's say they are friends and here to help," Yugi said to Joey.
"Quiet down if you offer any more suggestions. Joey will be forced to lose the duel, and don't step in this duel, any of you," Johnson said to the group.
Lucario was making a small growl and looked at Ash. "I sense that aura coming somewhere in this room. Ash, something about this "Duel" is off," Lucario said to Ash via his aura, to which Ash nodded.
"Try to sense where it is at. I have a feeling that this duel is rigged," Ash said to Lucario, who nodded and quietly tried to sense where the aura was coming from.
While this was going on, it was Johnson's turn. "My turn. I activate Polymerization fusing my Mystical elf and Curtain of the Dark one card in my hand to summon Kamion Wizard" Kamion Wizard (1300/1100)
"Great, that monster has 1300 attacks, 200 less for bottomless traphole to activate," Joey thought.
"Now I activate my facedown card, the continuous spell card Sinister Justice. This magic card bypasses the fusion monsters can't attack rule and allow me to attack the turn it's summoned," Johnson said as Joey was wide open. "Now attack Joesph's life points," Johnson ordered as Kamion Wizard slashed Joey.

"Joey's in big trouble," Yugi said, and everyone was surprised by this. "As long as Sinister Justice is in play, Johnson will gain 800 life points every time his fusions monsters would damage Joey, regardless of whether it's a direct attack or battle damage," Yugi said.
Joey is now piecing it all together. "This was your plan from the start to use your ability multiple times," Joey said as Johnson's life points went up by 800.

Elsewhere in Kalos, Greninja was ready to head back to Professor Sycamore to be sent to wherever Ash was, only for him to be greeted by a bat-like Pokemon he had heard of.
"You're the legendary Pokemon Lunala," Greninja said to Lunala, who nodded.
"I'm here because your master Ash is in danger and is in another dimension to save a girl he loves," Lunala said to Greninja, whose eyes widened.
"I can send you to where he is, given that you are now done with helping Zygarde, but you are going to be in an area you aren't familiar with," Lunala said to Greninja, who nodded.
Back to where Yugi and the others are, Joey is angered that he was being played as a fool for all his work against Johnson.
"Humph, you should've won the duel sooner, Joesph. If you hadn't placed three monsters or your best ones, you wouldn't be in this situation, and now all the pieces are in place to win," Johnson said, laughing.
