CHAPTER 2: The First Lap

As the Midoriya family nervously sits in the sitting room waiting for Dr. Mai to come to talk to them about the final results, but what was worrying Inko the most was the way the doctor had looked after she had told her that she is unable to activate her quirk, she had looked terrified and slightly disturbed. That look, she doesn't think she could ever forget it.

She quickly shakes her head as if throwing those thoughts out, her baby would never do anything that could make her scared of him. Inko had been soothing Izuku for the past ten minutes to reassure him that she was perfectly fine and that nothing was wrong with her quirk, Izuku had looked up at her with those big green orbs and how could she not just coo at him, and forget everything that was happening at that moment, but alas it was shattered when the doctor had opened her door to call her into the office. Inko tells Izuku to play and be good for a short moment.

As Inko closes the door the doctor begins immediately " if I'm going, to be frank with you, Izuku's quirk is something not to scoff at and we have only three reports of a quirk like it" Inko gasps wondering what going to happen next " and for what's going to happen next, that even I don't know but one thing is going to occur and that izuku is going to examined by someone In the military, who I don't exactly know but someone with a lot of influence will be here to witness the testing."

Inko feels like her heart is going to explode with how fast it's beating, with tears welling up in her eyes she mumbles "what is going to happen to my little izuku if they like the results." she's heard rumors of kids with powerful quirks being taken to train them or just plain disappearing.

sighs "now I don't think anything bad will happen to him, but if anything does he could be enrolled in a special training academy or maybe we have his quirk wrong and nothing could happen to him" Inko is almost relieved that the worst that could happen is training.

"The examiner should be here within the hour I was told, so we should finish the notes and paperwork for them," she tells a teared-up Inko, as all Inko can do is nod dumbly to the doctor.

As the conversation with the Doctor and Inko was happing Izuku was playing with his toys as his mother had told instructed him to do but alas he had barely begun to get into it when a strange tall man with hair as white as snow had stalked into his view "hello child, I'm Shigaraki and who might you be" he offered.

Startled Izuku squeaked out " I'm Izuku Midoriya mister Shigaraki" the man hummed as he stroked his chin in a calm motion " so your the child I've been alerted of" before Izuku was able to say anything else the man was in front of him in an instant, scared Izuku almost tumbled but found that he was no longer falling but the man had a hand around his back with one moving towards the top of his head with red lighting, not unlike his, he closes his eyes in an instant fearing something will happen. But.. nothing does

" Hmmm, interesting very interesting indeed." the man marveled

Izuku looks up in confusion "mister, what interesting?" he hums against "well you, of course, it's not every day you find a quirk that is as marvelous as yours" he says sounding almost giddy or someone who had just found a hidden treasure, Izuku had become even more confused by this statement wondering how he knew what his quirk was, he didn't even fully know what his quirk was? "H-how do you know that mister" izuku stammered out, with that, the man let out a deep belly chuckle.

"Why of course I'd know seeing as how your quirk is like mine of course" he answered

Izuku almost immediately yelled out in excitement " Ooooo mister mister you have to tell what our quirk is!?" The man let another laugh this one sounding more sinister than the last, not that Izuku noticed as he was too starstruck " My quirk is something not many know about or understand but today I will indulge you on this little secret seeing as how we are could be the same in many ways" Izuku just nods waiting for him to continue.

"My quirk has gone by many names throughout the year's everything from exchange or the devil's gift but alas I call it ALL FOR ONE" he offered to a star-struck Izuku "It is quite complicated in theory but can be simplified by just saying I have the ability to TAKE or GIVE quirks as I see fit and also stockpile quirks I take" he states describing his quirk like before izuku doesn't have any time to move or say anything before he whisked off by Shigaraki "let's go young Midoriya we have much testing to do, first we shall see if you can give quirks" pauses before continuing

"Let's start, now I can feel that you have another quirk with your original try and push it towards me" Izuku quickly agrees seeing how he is just as eager to get started, As he puts his small hands on his large ones he searches for that small green ball he felt earlier and with a small nudge the orb zooms through his hands into Shigaraki, he chuckles and pats his head " excellent, let us begin to explore more of your quirk," he says as he offers a hand to Izuku, and he feels that same orb rushing back into his own body.

With that first test done Izuku had started to get overwhelmed with the number of quirks he was being asked to use and the questions, he had to ask, he had been using quirks for about 5 minutes before he was asked to stop and he had given the quirks back to with a bit of hesitation.

Shigaraki had been musing to himself the entire test thinking how similar their quirks were to each other, wondering the differences between the two or if there weren't any. The child's quirk so far was a carbon copy of his, he started listing them off in his head to go over them, being able to steal and give quirks even mutations, an almost natural calling on how to use every quirk he gains to some level, and the ability to combine quirks for different effects. He only has a few questions left for the time being to understand this quirk

"Izuku Child a couple more questions and we finish" izuku nods not wanting the fun to end but is feeling tired and wants to see his mother "Ok, how did you feel when you had ten quirks Izuku" Shigaraki asks, Izuku quickly responds sounding confused with "nothing really mister, should I?" Shigaraki quickly waved him "no you shouldn't which is excellent, and one final question I have for now what do you feel when you acquire a new quirk and how does it feel when you use said quirk?" Izuku becomes even more confused by the question "what do you mean mister?" as he becomes more frantic thinking he has done something wrong. Shigaraki sighs " do you feel as if something is holding you back from using the quirk or more importantly do you feel someone else in your own body"

Izuku mumbled quickly " umm.. No mister I d-don't feel anything l-like that." feeling dumb that he didn't understand . Still, as he was doubting himself Shigaraki had been left in a complete stupor by his short answer, that one sentence had changed the way he looked at the boy's quirk. It wasn't a downgrade or even a carbon copy, no...

"It's superior"

"What'd you say, mister?" Izuku pipes up not hearing what was just said "nothing child just an old man musing to himself." Shigaraki states almost bitterly but quickly switches tones to something more joyful "let us go back to your mother child I have a feeling she is about to finish up" Izuku nods along and starts to walk with .

"Mister, what are we going to name my quirk?" asked Izuku with big pleading eyes Shigaraki looks down with mild interest "well that would be up to you and your mother of course" with this said Little Izuku looks down in wonder trying to decide what he will name his own quirk.

As they reach the doctor's office they settle down in complete silence and with this izuku is feeling slightly awkward so he builds up the courage to ask Mr. Shigaraki a question " Mister, what are your favorite types of quirks?" Shigaraki hums at this question " what an interesting question to ask" he hasn't thought on this topic for years and as he is musing izuku speaks again " ya! I like fire quirks and stuff like that!' he enthusiastically yells out. He thinks about the question for a second more " One would say I have a great appreciation for strength quirks" Izuku looked like he wanted to ask more questions but help himself back in fear of annoying the strange man.

Izuku couldn't believe the day he was having. He was so lucky to have such a strong quirk he couldn't wait to tell everyone how cool of a soldier he is going to be!

Shigaraki on the other hand couldn't fathom the gem he had just discovered, his potential is mind-boggling he has the perks of All for One without the terrible downside that he has to deal with every moment of his life, but there is always a catch when it comes to quirks. He continued his line of thought with how in only twenty-five minutes his plans have been altered in ways he could have never imagined could even be possible, the thought makes him grin at his new plans for this small boy.

They sat in silence for the next couple of minutes waiting patiently for Inko to walk out. It doesn't take long for her to walk out and let a small startled yelp at seeing Shigaraki but she quickly rushes to him and was about to being to start ranting but he put a hand up and mentioned to the sleeping boy next to him "hello Ms. Midoriya, my name is Shigaraki it's a pleasure to meet you" he says holding a hand out, Inko takes it nervously " Mr. Shigaraki, are you the examiner that the army has sent?"

"Indeed I am, but do not worry I have already tested your son's quirk and have found all that I need for the moment" Inko is surprised at this seeing as how they had been in the office for less than thirty minutes going over family history and theories before she can reply Shigaraki speaks once again and continue to shock her.

"I find it fascinating that someone has a quirk almost exactly like mine, Ms. midoriya your son is going to grow up to be something special, I can feel it." he tells her with his eyes gleaming, Inko feels like she is about to cry because she always knew her baby boy was special "what's his quirk exactly Mr. Shigaraki?" she questions "well that would be the ability to give and take quirks of course" he cackled out and it only got harder as face morphed into pure shock "Is that even possible" she stammered out. Shigaraki was quick to retort " of course it is, I think a demonstration will work perfectly." he puts a hand on Inkos head and red lighting appears that looks almost exactly like Izukus and she feels her quirk again not a second later leaving her shell shocked.

He just laughs and pats his hands together like he was dusting them off after a hards day of work "now Ms. Midoriya there is still much to be brought up and talked about but for today I think that should be enough, seeing how little Izuku needs his rest" he offered to her. Inko quickly broke out of her stupor and started to rush to get her things and pick up her small four-year-old boy that was fast asleep, when is finishing up grabbing everything and about to walk out Shigaraki called out one last time

" Oh and Ms. midoriya I have Izuku with three quirks for the time being make sure he is careful with them" Inko choked at this "wait what, what quirks does he have?1" she panic yells and getting nervous, just for Shigaraki to wave a hand as to dismiss her " ah how clumsy of me I had forgotten to mention them didn't I, hmm what were they again" he strokes his chin as he speaks "ah I remember now they were Dragons Breath, Blizzards Breath and Iron lungs of course" Inko was was feeling more helpless as the second went on how was she supposed to teach him how to use these quirks, but that problem had fixed itself when had given her his number to call if they have any questions. With one final goodbye, the Midoriya family left the building in a slight hurry.

During the conversation, was just stunned by what she has came across and the conversation in front of her wasn't helping, she has heard stories about what he has done not just on the battlefield but to people to oppose him and for him to act so casual was jarring. As soon as the family left something about him changed and she started to see that those "myths" she heard weren't myths after all.

Shigaraki had turned his head with a bone-chilling smile that made her feel not just sacred for herself but for the population in the building "sooo your this doctor Mai I have heard so much about, tell me honestly what do you think of him" he says with the same smile that almost looks beastly " he has some of the most potential in his entire generation so far my lord" she quietly lets out

He hums at her statement " I think you are more correct with your presumption than you think doctor."

Flashing another beastly smile with a gleam in his eye he starts walking towards her "now doctor one would think you deserve a reward for finding such a prime specimen, what do you think MAI." the only answer she could give him was a small nod at which he smirks at.

"Now now before we get to that, how about we do some window shopping"

When the midoriya family had arrived home Inko had put izuku down in his bed for the night and reflected on all that had happened in just the past couple of days, she wanted to cry because of the nervousness she has been feeling she knew her baby boy wanted to join the army and don't know if she could handle all that stress on her but it's being slightly eased since she now knows her son's quirk and that he will end up being a very powerful boy, even now he is she thinks to herself.

She needed a plan of action to make sure she does everything right for her boy and doesn't fail him. She talks to herself to pick up her phone and text Shigaraki.

INKO: Hello Shigaraki, this is Inko. I was wondering what I should do to help Izuku with his quirk! Please respond at your earliest convenience. 5:26PM

Shigaraki: hello Ms. Midoriya I shall send you a plan of how we will proceed with Izuku and his quirk shortly. 5:49PM

Shigaraki:

1. Izuku will be enrolled In self-defense classes as soon as possible (LINK)

2. His diet will be perfected to suit his body type and his quirks and I will attach a photo at the bottom of the things that will be best for him (Photo)(idk diets so (=

3. I will see Izuku every six months to monitor his quirk

4. Izuku will join the Academy starting at the age of twelve and go until he is 18

5. He will not tell anything about what his quirk is exactly he may use the ones he has now ( there will be no exceptions to this rule we all must stick to not notifying anyone what his actual quirk is)

Inko is slightly shocked by how much effort Shigaraki is putting into her baby boy but she can't help to feel proud of her boy and what he is going to become one day and she'll be damned if she doesn't do anything to encourage him and help him achieve his dreams.

6 Month skip

Izuku was so ecstatic today was going to be the first time he is going to see Mr. Shigaraki since the day he figured out his quirk, he still thinks is kinda sad that he doesn't get to tell anyone about his cool quirk but the other kids think is other ones are just as cool and he has learned how to do so many cool things with his quirks and he can't wait to show them off to , Izuku is lost in thought when he hears a knock at the door meaning that is here and sprints as fast as his little legs could take him. He slides into the living room to see his mother and Mr. Shigaraki already greeting each other and discussing how this small meeting will play out "Mr. Shigaraki I'm so happy to see you" yells izuku, Shigaraki turns to the small child, and gives a small smile "are you ready little Izuku this shouldn't take up too much of our time" smiling at him as he leads Izuku and his mother outside

After a small walk, they end up at a small park nearby making Inko slightly nervous " umm.. , are you certain we are allowed to use his quirks here?" he just chuckles and waves her off as what they are doing isn't going against quirk laws

"We are fine Ms. Midoriya I have a permit for this type of thing" he assured her, clapping his hands together " now, let us get started shall we. Izuku I would like you to demonstrate your quirks to me and then tell me what you have learned about them so far" this makes Izuku a little nervous seeing as how he hasn't had much practice but he still puffs up is tiny chest in excitement to finally get to show off to

"Ok I won't let you down" he yells out as he lines up facing away from the two adults. Taking a deep breath in Izuku started to exhale and not a second later a large cloud of ice and snow expelled from his mouth at a fast pace, covering an area over 35 feet long and 20 feet wide Izuku was only able to hold it for about one minute before he sharting shivering due to the cold. Quickly cutting off blizzards breath he takes another deep breath and spews a green gas from his mouth before it ignites and starts to torch the ice that was still left behind from the last demonstration, the fire only reaches a max length of 20 feet, and 5 feet wind by the very end of the trail of the fire Izuku was able to keep up Dragons Breath for about two and a half minutes before his throat started getting too dry to continue.

Shigaraki was slightly impressed with the boy and the progress he's made in just six months, of course, he could perform better with those quirks than Izuku could but he isn't going to mention that at the moment "very well done my boy, impressive indeed" he tells Izuku while patting his head "now tell as much as you can about these three quirks you have"

Izuku looks giddy at the thought of explaining his quirks again " Well Blizzards breath allows me to blow ice and snow from my lungs at a long and wide range for a short amount of time but weirdly enough only my lungs and throat are resistant to the cold'' he ponders before continuing "dragons breath lets me breathe out gas I can light on fire kind of like a torch and Iron lungs lets me hold my breath longer and breath out more!" Izuku mumbled out excitedly, Shigaraki hummed at this seeing as how while yes it's the basic bare bones of the quirks it's still impressive for a boy this young to know this much so it satisfies him for the time being. Shigaraki smiles "hmm good job Izuku I'm proud of how far along you have come along with these quirks" izuku was beaming the entire time he was talking "and for now we have only one more thing to do, I want you to try and take a quirk away from me how about that?" Izuku was nervous seeing as how he hasn't used his actual quirk since the day of his first exam but nodded along not wanting to disappoint Mr. Shigaraki.

"Alright let's begin, I will bring the quirk I have Chosen for you to take up forth so try and only take that one you understand." Izuku nods and grabs Shigaraki's outstretched hand, it takes a slight moment before Izuku can see what quirk he is speaking about. It almost seems like Shigaraki is offering it out to him and unable to stop himself he quickly latches on to the quirk and pulls the glowing orb into himself and slots it into the growing collection. Shigaraki has to admit he was surprised at the feeling of a quirk leaving his body without it being his doing, he starts to understand why people put up such a big fuss over it but surely it can't be that bad (pansy's). As he was musing to himself Izuku is wondering what exactly the quirk does, seeing as how it almost looks like his fire and ice quirks he thinks it goes along those lines but he knows there is a difference he just can't put his finger on it.

"Just exactly was that quirk Mister?" izuku questioned tilting his head " well it's quite simple actually it is small time temperature resistance quirk that will help you learn your other quirks much easier" he explained to Izuku "now let us get back to your mother I think that will be plenty for today." little Izuku just nods along and walks with Shigaraki back to his mother who was watching from a distance to be safe. His mother had promised to stop for ice cream on their way home to congratulate him.

As they arrive at the Midoriya residence Izuku had fallen asleep on their way back from the ice cream parlor and was carried to his room which had left the two adults about the progress he has been making in his classes and self-defense lessons" I'm pleased to see that you have followed my instructions to a tee" Inko blushes slightly at the praise " thank you, sir, I just want the best for my baby boy" Inko had not lied about wanting the best and following everything Shigaraki says, but what he is about to say makes her feel anxious

"Yes, Izuku shall get the best, to become the best," he says as he flashes her a feral-looking smile.
