Almost Everything
Chapter 11
Hate is safer then love.
Weeks Later
"I don't love you anymore." Haley stated matter of fact.
"Shots. And keep them coming." Nathan announced. Placing money on top of the bar.
"To old friends." Nathan said.
"Best friends." Tim added in. Clinking his glass with Nathan's.
Hours Later
Loud music was pumping in every direction. People were dancing and touching with no space between.
"Alright i give up. You are too hot. Rich. And here every night this week. What's the deal.?" The woman asked.
"My house is too to be there alone. So i would rather be out."
"I'm trying to forget. Stop missing her so much." Nathan admitted.
"There are much more fun and productive ways to get over someone."
"You're Nathan Scott. I know already." She said.
"What's you're name.?" Nathan asked.
"Let's not ruin the fun and ask anymore questions." The woman said.
Haley had changed everything for him. How he envisioned life and the future.
But with her pushing him away. Drawing the line between them.
Nathan was desperate to numb the pain he was in.
Instead of more rejection from Haley.
He retreated back into the person he was before her.
...
"As maid of honor at you're 2nd wedding vow renewal."
"I cannot just stand by and watch the two of you lose each other again." Brooke proclaimed.
"Brooke is right. Me and Lucas. Are the village you and Nate picked out to be there during these moments." Peyton added in.
"We just want to help Hales." Lucas said.
Haley glared at them all. Wrapping her arms around herself.
"There is nothing to fix. Nathan and I haven't been a couple for a long time."
"Being away i realized there was no reason to revisit what failed." Haley stated matter of fact.
"So you're saying anything you felt for Nathan is in the past.?" Brooke asked.
"None of this has to do with Dan and Deb.?" Peyton questioned.
"If you're so done with him and the love the two of you shared then why are you still wearing his wedding ring around you're neck.?" Lucas pushed.
"Just leave me alone! All of you get out of my house!" Haley yelled.
...
Unlike the first time around with the fire and the loss of the babies. The friend group made a pact to support and be there for both Nathan and Haley. In a way they weren't able to back then.
"We aren't going anywhere." Lucas proclaimed.
"Luke and I will take the guest room. Peyton will stay in the living room." Brooke explained.
"You need us even though you won't admit it." Peyton said.
...
Haley had managed to get out of the house and take some pictures around town.
Which she then uploaded and out on her social media accounts.
She was determined to distract herself with work.
What she hadn't prepared herself for was seeing Nathan around.
He was no longer attempting to get her to see his side.
Instead he was avoiding her.
Which hurt more then outright rejection.
"Didn't we tell you to stay away.?" Dan Scott questioned.
When he encountered Haley around town.
