Clem bites her tongue. She did surrender, she might as well try to act decent even if he isn't going to. What was it her dad said? 'Treat others the way you wanna be treated.'

"I'm sorry."

Bill is surprised momentarily to hear such an earnest apology. He relaxes and smiles. "It's okay, honey. We'll chalk it up as a lesson learned, all right?" He turns to Troy and gives him more of a serious look as he approaches Clementine to knot her hands. "Get the girls in the back with the rest of 'em, we've got a bit of a drive ahead of us. Carley and Lee will stay with me."

The mercenary wordlessly followed instruction. Johnny opened up the back of the truck, the rest of the group contained there. Lee tried to approach Clem to see if she was okay, but Carver stopped him with one hand on his chest. "She's fine. Let's get in, we're burning daylight."

"You think I'll just take your word for it?"

"I've trusted you thus far. You can trust me." The new leader gets into the passenger seat. Lee locks eyes with Clem, but she has to look away when Troy's gun aims at her.

"In." He demands of the girls. Christa jumps in first, followed by Clem and Sarah.

"Hey, you asshole! You can't keep all of us contained like this! Let us out before we fucking kill you!" Kenny struggles against his bindings. Shawn places a hand on his shoulder.

"Kenny! Stop!" He begs.

"Listen to him!" Sarita orders her boyfriend. Johnny aims his gun at Kenny.

"Everyone just shut the fuck up!" Troy yells, throwing the back door down.

Season 2, Episode 3

In Harm's Way

The ride back is basically silent in the back after Troy and Johnny settle in. It's incredibly crowded and no one can talk without Troy or Johnny telling them to shut up. Walter and Molly had to be gagged once again because of their excessive whining, and Kenny would have been too if they had more gags available. Everyone else just chooses to be silent.

"Won't be long now. Bill says we have thirty minutes 'till we get home." Johnny tells his buddies.

"Good. I'm dying of discomfort in this stuffy ass cabin. If any of you so much as fart, I'll kick the hell outta you." Troy threatens.

"Leave 'em alone, Troy, they're fine." Bonnie says. The brunette man scoffs.

"They gagged you and threatened your life!"

Walter and Molly both try to speak through their gags, to no avail.

"Are we any better? Let's just drop it, okay?"

Justin groans. "Please. I have a big enough headache as is with Danny in punishment. Dumb bastard."

"What the hell did he do again?" Johnny asks.

"He helped these ones escape, remember? Same with Reggie." He answers.

"Ah, right."

Rebecca tilts her head up, deciding to ask the question on the entire cabin group's mind."Reggie's okay, right?" Her group looks at her like she's at least somewhat deranged.

"We're not talking to you, Becca, stay outta it."

"Kiss my ass, Troy. He's okay, right, Bonnie?" Troy glares at her. Of course, he can't touch her, as if he does Carver will kill him, literally.

"He's… alive. That's for certain." Bonnie answers. She sighs with relief.

"Thank god."

The rest of the captives look at each other worriedly, the sound of rough, dirt roads and pebbles being lifted and thrown away by tires can be heard, as well as the odd turn. Kenny lifts his eyes and notices a part of the railing in the corner is broken, a sharp edge sticking out. He looks down at his bindings, knowing he can't risk it. There are a million things he wants to say and do right now, but for once he realizes it's all for nothing: he's screwed.

In the front, Lee sits next to Carley, neither of which are binded. They hold hands, calming each other down without words. Carver looks in the rearview mirror as Tisha focuses on the road. "So, Lee.. you know what morning sickness is, right? You can tell why I know what that is and how I'd be able to figure that out, with her being so secretive about it, right?"

Lee growls out a response, or tries to. "Look, Carver-"

"That woman in your group, Christa. Did you know she was pregnant?" He cuts him off, looking back at him with one arm helping him look back.

"I did, but it never came up between us."

"Not in the full day we were driving?"

"I was exhausted - I am exhausted. Carley didn't tell you?" She opens her mouth, but..

"Leave her out of this. Lee, I need to know: are you gonna be with me or against me? Because I know you're strong and loyal. What I don't know is how smart you are."

Lee looks into Carley's eyes. She gives a nod. He looks back at Carver and answers.
