It was the day before the shark hunting challenge, and the interns were wasting no time fixing up the submarine, well the interns minus Mitch, who was supposed to be there, but ended up getting distracted by writing possible outcomes with Sasha. Overseeing the interns was none other than Hack, who sat back on the beach and watched while a tired Buck welded bits together, with Carlton there to make sure he doesn't fall asleep suddenly.
Billy held up a safety checklist and presented it to Hack, "Hack, I think we're gonna need to do another inspection."
"Yarrr, what do you mean? You've already done three different safety inspections, I'm not too sure what else could be added to the sub to make it more death-proof." Hack raised an eyebrow.
Billy began to write on the checklist, "Well, I'm just saying, vehicles like this can be very unpredictable, I was already worried about the ATVs, but this just seems to be so much more dangerous."
Hack laughed, "Kid, you really confuse me sometimes."
Billy tilted his head in confusion in response, "What's that supposed to mean?"
"I'm just saying, you absolutely love the thrill of nature and adventure, but you also seem to become a hugely... errr is the word anxious?..." Hack asked as Billy nodded, "Anxious mess, I feel like you should have a little more trust in Buck, he definitely knows what he's doing." Hack pointed over at Buck, only to see the Southern Macgyver laying his head on a piece of metal, with him being too tired to continue working, "Heh... most of the time."
Billy gave a light shrug, "I, uh, don't really see what you mean. I'm just trying to be careful, I mean, if this thing goes off before it's ready to me and Carlton are gonna be stuck in the middle of the sea."
"But yee've already figured out that it's not gonna break without the contestant's help, so why not take it back on the worries?" Hack suggested.
"I... guess." Billy raised his eyebrow and spoke with a weak tone.
Hack chuckled at Billy's response, "Eh, you'll come around before long, I'm sure that challenge we have planned for-"
"Guys." Carlton interrupted, "I would really hate to interrupt your conversation, but please save me before Buck... you know... WELDS ME TO THE SUB!" Carlton shouted out as the duo noticed a tired Buck trying to weld Carlton's shirt to the side of the shark sub.
"BUCK LET GO OF HIM!" Billy ran straight towards Buck and Carlton as Hack watched on.
Hack laughed, "Reminds me of a younger and less experienced me sometimes... I'm sure he'll learn to take risks eventually..."
