The explosive goes off, destroying the Machina de Kadavus, knocking Strange away, and destroying a large part of the scaffolding. The shield attached to the statue goes down and falls to the ground. Most of the others managed to get ahold of something or used their powers to stop themselves from falling. But MJ couldn't do so as she fell off the Statue, debris plummeting around her. Ned manages only to latch on to a random rivet before he plummeted.

Peter-1 instantly throws himself after her, his hand reaching out for hers. Seconds before they connect, the cackling Green Goblin collides with Peter-1, dragging him away from MJ.

MJ could only watch in terror as Peter was being dragged away and she was left to fall for her death. But there was someone who wasn't going to let that happen. Peter-3 screams out, "No!" and dives after MJ, remembering when he was in a similar situation.

Using his rockets that still function, he blasted himself down as fast as he could. As soon as he reached her, he envelops her in his arms and spun them around before he blasted his rockets on his foot to lower them to the ground slowly. They land, breathing heavily, among falling metal debris.

"Are you okay?" Peter-3 quickly asked her.

"Yeah," MJ assured him.

Peter-3 started to cry tears of joy, remembering how he failed to save Gwen in his reality. But he wasn't going to let someone else deal with that same grief he went through.

"Are you okay?" MJ asks, noticing the tears.

Peter-3 nods, finally having found some closure for his biggest mistake.

Doctor Strange tries to hold the spell with his utmost effort. Ned desperately holds onto his rivet. Ralph and Nora move everyone that they could to the lower levels.

Stephen grapples with the spell to the last but fails, and a wave of magical energy spreads through New York. Ned lets go and scream as he starts falling. Fortunately, the Cloak of Levitation comes to the rescue, attaching itself to Ned's arms and holding him in the air.

Meanwhile, the shield, impacted by the release of runes, moves down again, absolutely pulverizing the remaining levels of scaffolding underneath. Peter-2 shoots some webs, helping Savitar and Mack to safely reach the ground level.

The shield completely collapses to the ground, rolls off the surface of Liberty Island, and stops on the water of the Claremont Terminal Channel.

Standing on the Statue's torch, Dr. Strange watches in horror as reality cracks, creating interdimensional portals for those knowing Peter Parker's identity to come through. He immediately starts trying to seal them with his spells, but it's not enough as the cracks just return and grow larger.

Peter-1 wildly bashes Green Goblin's glider until he breaks open his stash with Pumpkin Bombs. He takes one out of the container as Goblin noticed what he was doing. Before he has time to react to it, Peter activates it and slams it into the glider. Once he did, the bomb took a second before finally exploding and destroying the glider's controls.

The vehicle loses altitude instantly, with Peter-1 and Norman crashing through some rubble before they finally land at the shield's underside. Ned lands on a viewing terrace as the cape returns to Stephen.

"Thank you, Mr. cape, sir." Ned thanked the cape.

Then all of the heroes and friends quickly met back up. All of them were happy to see that they were all safe. But then they were worried about their final member.

Peter-1 crawled to his feet and looked up. "Ned! Ava! MJ! Guys!"

"Hey! We're okay!" Everyone assured him.

Peter 1 takes a good, deep breath of relief. That doesn't last long, however, as he notices Norman Osborn lying several tens of meters behind. He turns to him, adopting a battle stance, glaring with anger. The Goblin stands up and removes his goggles. Playtime's over.

"Poor Peter." Goblin mocked the boy whose life he had just ruined. "Too weak to send me home to die."

"No." Peter snarled in anger as he got into his usual stance. "I just wanted to kill you myself."

Goblin smiled as he believes he finally broke the hero. "Attaboy."

The two charge and clash, exchanging blows with even more bitterness than before. Peter fires two webs at Goblin, which he evades swiftly and swings at the young web-slinger.

Peter bends down, avoiding the blow, and webs Goblin's foot to the surface then beats him down with a massive punch. He then tries to perform a possibly lethal jump slam attack, but Goblin frees himself soon enough and rolls over.

Goblin rises and pulls a blade out of his gauntlet, whistles, and smiles like crazy. The fighting commences again. Peter performs a few shaky evasions before he gets a good hit on Goblin.

He evades the blade again, but Goblin strikes him in the face with his other hand. Parker recovers almost instantly and webs Goblin's legs to the surface again, hits him twice, and accidentally wounds himself on one of the spikes sticking out from the Goblin's armor.

The maniac frees himself once again, strikes but to no avail, and finally loses the upper hand. Peter disarms him, hits him a couple of times, webs him, and pulls him to his knee, punching him, then grabs him and performs a revenge suplex, ruthlessly throwing his opponent to the ground. Goblin cannot respond to the fight anymore.

Peter lands a barrage of blows on his face, each succeeding punch being stronger. Ned, MJ, Ava, the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and the two Peters watch their friend's actions in horror.

Peter-2 and Peter-3 exchange glances in silent agreement. Seeing that they needed to end this fight before Peter-1 did something he would regret again.

Peter-1 finally stops beating the Goblin and lifts his glider instead. He holds it over his head and brings it down on Green Goblin's head with a hateful scream.

But right before the glider could make contact, Peter-2 steps in and stops the glider halfway through. Peter-1 tries to push through and reach the Goblin, but peter-2 does not let up. He doesn't scold his alternative counterpart.

Instead, Peter-2 looks at him with understanding, compassion, and even plea. The sincerity on his face slowly, gradually cools Peter-1 down.

Peter-1 lowers the glider and drops it. As if on cue, Green Goblin pulls out another blade and stabs Peter 2 in the back.

The older Spider-Man plummets to the ground in silent pain. Peter-3, holding Norman's cure rushes towards them, gasping.

Peter-1 ended up glaring at Norman again as he chuckled. "He was there... because of you... I may have struck the blow, but you..." he smiled as he continued to laugh. "You are the one that killed him."

He bursts out in a maniacal cackle. Peter-3 tosses the cure to Peter-1, who sticks it into the Goblin's neck. He stops laughing and has a look of confusion in his eyes when the serum is released. Peter-2, wounded but alive, smiles as Norman Osborn sinks to his knees, free of his alternate personality at last.

"Peter?" Norman asked as he was confused as to what happened. "What have I done?"

Peter-3 joins them, bending over Peter-2 to see how he's doing. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I've been stabbed before," Peter-2 assured him he could walk it off.

"Oh, okay." Peter-3 decided to go with what to say. He then looked to Peter-1 and pat him on the shoulder. "Nice catch."

"Nice throw." Peter-1 returned.

The three then heard cracking and look to the sky where they saw the cracks Strange tried to stop are becoming more and more noticeable. He was continuing to try and fix reality, but

"Is that happening or am I dying?" Peter-2 asks them.

"That's actually happening," Peter-3 confirmed.

"Are there people in the sky?" Peter-2 questioned.

Up top, Doctor Strange is still trying to hold them back. Their silhouettes become somewhat visible. Among them were a few familiar faces and some unfamiliar to the heroes and villains.

Peter-1 saw he needed to talk to Strange. "I gotta go."

"Yeah, go, I've got him," Peter-3 assured him as Peter-1 leaped to swing away. "Are you okay?"

Peter-1 joins Strange on the top of the statue. He started to see even more figures coming in through the gaps in the sky, all of them seem just as confused as the originals. Out of the figures, he saw one was a woman wearing a black outfit, and another a demonic-looking speedster.

"What's happening?" Peter asks the Doctor.

"They're starting to come through and I can't stop them." Strange was sorry to admit as he tried his hardest to close the cracks.

"There's got to be something we can do," Peter said, not ready to admit defeat. "Can't you just cast the spell again? But, like, the original way, before I screwed it up?"

"We're too late for that." Strange cried in anger. "They're here! They're here because of you!"

Peter thinks for a moment and tries his best to come up with a plan. But as much as he could think, he realizes there is only one solution. The one solution that could make it so that none of this ever even happened.

"What if everyone forgot who I was?" Peter asked the Sorcerer.

Stephen looked down at the boy in shock. "What?"

"They're coming here because of me, right? Because I'm Peter Parker?" Peter explained his plan to him. Because of the spell that he cast the first time; the multiverse broke. But if you remove the cause, there would be no effect. "So cast a new spell. But this time, make everyone forget who Peter Parker is. Make everyone forget... me."

Strange immediately shut that idea down. "No."

"But it would work, right?" Peter asks him, wanting to make sure he's right.

"Yeah, it would work." Strange knew better than to try and trick the kid. "But you got to understand, that would mean everyone... who knows and loves you... We'd... We'd have no memory of you. It'll be as if you never existed."

"I know," Peter assured him he knew the consequences. This means every relationship that he has ever had, be it with his friends, his family, and the people he's come to think of as family, none of them would remember anything they've gone through.

But they'd be safe. The universe would be back to the way it was. This was his choice, now he must live with the consequences. Not the multiverse.

"Do it."

Stephen saw there was no changing the kid's mind and decided he needed to do it. "Well, then go and say your goodbyes. You don't have long."

Peter nodded as he knew he needed to say goodbye to his family. "Thank you, Stephen."

Stephen couldn't help but laugh at that. "Yeah... that seriously feels weird."

Peter then chuckled at that and knew he needed to go. "I'll see you around."

Then he swings off to find his family to say farewell. Strange was left with the fact that this was partially his fault as well as the kids. He should have clarified everything before casting that spell in the first place. Now this kid had to pay the consequences of his actions.

"So long, kid." Strange was sorry to say even he would forget the boy.

For the spell to work, the entire planet would need to forget him. It will hurt him, but he knows the risks and is willing to sacrifice everything to save the multiverse.

He's a true hero.

The Sorcerer Supreme slowly levitates higher and higher and begins to cast the spell, drawing a rune circle. Peter swung his way over to Peter-2 and 3 first to say goodbye. Peter-3 was holding Peter-2 over his shoulder to help him stand until the wound heals itself.

"Hey." Peter-1 greeted his counterparts again. "I-I think this is it. I think you're about to go home. But I... uh... Thank you. I just wanted... I wanna tell you that... I really don't know how to say this, like...

Peter 3 smiled and remembered how nervous he was as a kid talking to 'superiors' "Peter."

Peter-1 however was still rambling on. "I want you to know that I..."

"We know." Peter-2 interrupted him. "You know. It's what we do."

Peter-1 smiled as he starts to see what they were talking about. "Yeah. It's what we do. Right. I gotta find my friends." He can't contain it and hugs his multiversal counterparts.

The two of them quickly hugged him back, three different Spider-Men with three different backgrounds.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!" Peter-1 couldn't thank them enough for helping save his family, his friends, and everyone that he holds close to him. He then started to step back and sighed. "I guess I'll see you."

"See ya." Peter-2 agreed.

Peter-1 then backed off and looked back. "Bye."

Peter-3 smiled as he watched his younger counterpart swing off. "You know where to find us if you ever need us!" He chuckled as he looked over to Peter-2. "You're in so much pain, huh?"

Peter-2 sighed as he had to agree with that. "I am."

Peter-3 nodded as he could see that. "Yeah."

Peter-1 swung over to Liberty Island where he found his friends running toward him.

"Peter!" Kitty cried as she was the first to run over and hug him.

"We saved the multiverse, baby!" Kamala couldn't help but cheer. "We did that! Residual Avengers, who?!"

"So, is that it? Is it over?" Deke asks them. "Like...officially over?"

"It's over." Daisy was happy to say.

Or so she thought.

"Oh, thank god!" Laura cried in joy. "If I even hear about the multiverse again, I'm likely to break something. Or someone."

"Alright, what do you say we get out of here?" Ava asked when she noticed Peter's face. "Peter? What's wrong?"

Peter knew he needed to tell them now, otherwise, he was never going to get the chance. "You're gonna forget who I am."

Ned was the first one to react. "What?"

"Forget?" Doreen asked.

"Peter, what are you talking about?" MJ asks him.

Peter however looked happy and tried to help them see the bright side. "It's okay... I'm gonna come and find you, and I'll explain everything. I'll make you remember me. It'll be like none of this ever happened. Okay?"

"Wait, and what if that doesn't work?" Simmons asks him.

"What if we can't remember you, Pete?" Kamala asked in worry.

"Yeah, we can't do that, we don't want to do that." Ava agreed with them all.

"There has to be some other way," Daisy added to their statements. "We always find another way."

"Not this time." Peter was sorry to say. "I promise I'll find you guys. I'll make you remember me."

May looked up to the sky and saw the cracks were starting to get bigger. "You better."

The group was shocked to see that May was on board with this idea.

"Because if you don't, I'll kick your ass," May promised.

"Deal," Peter said with a smile.

May then stepped forward and embraced her nephew. Peter quickly returned the hug and knew this could be the last time that they see one another.

May had been there for Peter since day one. Helped raise him, trained him, protected him. Coulson might have been his father figure, but May was definitely the closest thing he ever had to a mother.

She then finally let him go, even though it was the hardest thing for her to do.

Peter then went over to Mack and hugged him. He returned the gesture and couldn't help but begin to tear up.

Mack doesn't have the same history as the others have with Peter, but he grew fond of the kid pretty quickly. He was sorry to say it was like losing his kid a second time, even though the others have a better connection.

Peter returned the gesture with Deke, Yo-Yo, who doesn't have the same relationship as Peter. But they were still going to miss Peter as they grew close to him. Peter was interested in the world that Deke came from, and Peter would always help Yo-Yo in one way or another with her powers.

Peter then looked over to the last of them all he had gotten to know. The one who went from a nobody to one of the most powerful people on the planet.

Peter ended up smiling as he remembered their first memory together. "Do you remember the first day we met?"

Daisy started to smile and cry at the same time. "In the interrogation room where you...interrogated me on the Bus." She chuckled as she remembered how they met. "You told me you were the one who tracked me down. You and Coulson found me... alone in an ally, and you- you guys gave me everything. A home, a-a belief, solid ground to stand on. A family. But... that was all you. You are what I believe in."

Peter started to cry as he knew exactly what he was giving up. "You need to believe in yourself, and you should. Because I do."

Daisy wiped the tears away. "No, you are the symbol. There's no S.H.I.E.L.D. or team without you. Th- there's nothing without you. There's-"

"Come here," Peter said as he pulled her in for a hug. "They're gonna start to look to you as a leader. They're gonna need you."

"They need you more," Daisy stated. "You're the Agent without an Agenda. You're Humanity's Greatest Hero. Its greatest shield. There's nothing without you."

"There's a belief. An idea." Peter prolonged as he backed off. "Look after them for me."

Then he backed off and saw Daisy nod as he looked over to Fitz-Simmons. The two people that he saw as siblings.

"Fitz. Simmons. You guys are not just intelligent. You're two of the greatest minds in the world." Peter tells the two of them. "You guys helped me with my powers since I was little. Always been there for me when I needed you the most. I'm never going to forget that. You guys are like the siblings that I never had. I couldn't ask for a better family."

"Get over here, you pain in my neck," Fitz demanded as he pulled Peter for a hug.

Simmons came in and hugged him as well. "We're gonna miss you. Some part of us is going to miss you."

"I know you will," Peter said, knowing that neither of them would. But he wasn't going to correct them. "And you'll get that monkey someday, Fitz. I know it."

Simmons couldn't help but giggle at the statement, earning a groan slightly from Fitz. This was probably the last time he was ever going to hear that laugh.

Then he looked at the girls. The people that he turned into a group of heroes. The outcasts that were shunned by society but accepted by him.

"You girls... I couldn't have asked for better friends. For a better team. You have all meant so much to me." Peter said to them all, looking at Laura. The first mutated person that he came across. "Laura...you've come a long way from that lab experiment. I couldn't be more proud of you."

Laura did her best not to show how much this was killing her. Peter was the first and only person to show her kindness and treat her as a human. Even the other Agents in the organization treated her like a threat. Like she was going to rip them apart if they looked at her wrong.

But a few stray tears started to leak out of her eyes as she tried to keep a straight face.

Peter knew she was just being strong and smiled in approval. Looking over at Doreen and Kamala, he remembered when he first met them.

"You two...you're the biggest mystery and the greatest light in my life. You guys saw this job as a fun way to help others. You only wanted to help people." Peter said as he pats Doreen on the shoulder. "Nobody believed in your powers. But you proved them all wrong by saving countless people and the universe."

Kamala jumped and wrapped her arms around Peter, tears spewing as she sobbed. "Thank you. For everything."

"You have us a purpose." Doreen agreed as she hugged him. "We can never thank you enough."

They then broke up so that Peter could look at Kitty and Ava.

"When I found you, you were on your own. People believed you were a freak." Peter tells Kitty who tears at the reminder. "It amazes me to see how far you've come."

Kitty walked over and hugged her friend. "You've treated me like an equal. Like a partner. Like a member of the family."

"Because you were," Peter stated, knowing that this won't change anything. "You are always going to be a member of this family. With or without me."

"Goodbye." Kitty guessed as she broke off from him. "For now."

Peter sighed as he walked over and hugged Ava. She was his protégé. Someone he was supposed to train, yet she has surpassed everything that he was trying to teach her. He taught her to tap into her true potential. How to work with others. How to be a leader. How to go on without him.

"Since the day we met, all you wanted to do was to protect people. You've made me so proud." Peter tells her with a smile.

"You're more than a friend. You're our inspiration. You're our hero." Ava whimpered. "We can't go without you, Pete."

"You can. You have to." Peter whispered as he pecked her cheek in a friendly way. "Because this world needs you to be. They need you to be strong."

Ava didn't know how she was going to do this. Continue without their leader, without their rock, their friend, their leader. But she knew that she needed to someone try.

Peter then went over and embraced his best friend since childhood. "I'll come and find you. Okay?"

Ned started crying at the thought of losing his best friend. "I know you will."

Peter lets him go and turns to his girlfriend. "You better," MJ stated. "If you don't, I'm just gonna figure it out. I've done it before, I can do it again."

Peter nodded and smiled. "I promise I'll fix this."

MJ started to tear up as she was about to lose the man she loved. "I really hate magic."

Peter couldn't help but agree with her. "Yeah. Me, too."

"I love you," MJ confesses.

Peter couldn't believe that she was the first to say it. "I love-"

"Wait." MJ quickly stopped him from going on. "Just wait. Wait and tell me when you see me again."

Peter nods in silent agreement. The others look up to the sky, knowing what's about to come as Strange is readying the spell. Peter and MJ kiss one final time, one of them knowing that this will be the final time.

Then they broke off and Peter backed away to get a good look at his friends and family. He could never have wished for better friends or family.

"You guys have been the test team, the best family, that anyone could have asked for," Peter informed them before walking away.

Doctor Strange finishes the first stage of the spell. Thawne, Norman, Ralph, Savitar, and Leslie vanish in a flash of light as they all return to their respective universes. Nora was also right behind them, but she quickly took the cure to drain herself of her powers. She was going to miss her speed, but her life was more important than her powers.

Just before their turn comes, Peters-2 and Peter-3 wave at each other as they disappear and return to their respective universes. Peter-1 walks away from the group, jumps on a piece of wall, and glances upwards, looking at Strange. The Sorcerer Supreme gives him a little nod to say goodbye.

Peter and Ava share one final look. She knew his training, she knew all of his faces, and it seems that she was the only one who knew what he was really planning on doing.

Michelle utters a silent I love you and sheds a tear. Peter turns and swings away from his friends and family, but it was only to keep them safe. Strange completes the spell and a wave of magical energy sweeps the area.

Stephen, Ava, May, and all of their friends look around for a bit, wondering why they were standing there crying. It seemed all of them were just as confused as they wiped the tears away. None of them were sure exactly why they were crying to begin with.

They have all forgotten something.

But none of them knew what it was.
