A/N: Okay, one more.

"How are you doing?" Mom asked me on the phone.
"I'm obviously heartbroken," I said, "But I'm trying to survive."
I mean, what else could I do?
My own brother and my best friend were trying to betray me. What could I even do?
"I still think you should have handled this a bit differently," she said.
"Yes, I completely agree. I'm really ashamed of my behavior," I said, "I could have talk to them in private. But I was angry, and... I was hurt."
Thinking more about it, I totally agreed I could have handled it a bit differently, but I still felt it was justified, and anyway, it was too late to regret it now!
"I truly think this is just a case of misunderstanding," she said, "You should try to talk to your brother and try to sort everything out."
"He's not willing to talk to me," I said.
Edward had always been too stubborn. And now that he seemed to be super pissed off at me, there was no point in talking to him!
Alright, I made a mess at the party, but he was behaving as if only I was at fault!
He could have told me about it when I said I was going to propose to Bella!
He was the one who was responsible for this whole mess!
He had tried to make a fool out of me.
Weren't my anger and reaction justified?
Why couldn't he go after someone else other than Bella, for God's sake!
I was sure that now he was going to get Bella even if he wasn't that serious about it earlier. I guess now he'd try to get her just to satisfy his ego!
"I don't think Bella is at fault here," I said.
"Nobody is at fault here," she said, "I think this is a case of huge misunderstanding."
"Maybe you're right, but don't you know your son? Doesn't he always get what he wants?" I said, "I'm sure he'd try to get her at any cost! And Bella... She's very innocent. I don't want her to get hurt in this mess."
"Okay, I'm going to talk to him," she said.
