Learning More About Your Enemy
We are now heading into what would be another important chapter ladies and gentlemen! We are now going to be hearing how The Destroyer directly talks to his enemy whilst he is chained up in a prison. We finally learn more about the two figures who are searching for RDJ, and of course we learn why Devine chose to take over the female. Not only that, we find out where Lila will decided to stay after talking to her best friend. So much to look forward to right? Let's get to it!
2 Hours Later…
"Ughhhh…Owwww…My head…"
RDJ groggily began to blink his eyes to get his focus back to reality, after feeling a strong blow to the back of his head. It was almost as if he had forgotten where he was and didn't really have and recollection as to where he was or how he had got there.
"Wh-What? Where…Am I?" He asked out loud as he tried to figure out where he was…but he didn't need to. Because someone decided to do that for him, by making themselves known to him.
"Hello…RDJ…" A dark voice emerged from outside of the jail cell…as if they were disguising their voice with some kind of voice changer app. Not that RDJ really cared for instance.
The blue and gold macaw male looked up to figure out who that bird was…but just from the dark muffled voice alone…he knew who it was from the very first sound of the voice. "Destroyer…"
"Comfortable?" He mockingly asked, whilst sitting down on a chair in front of a jail cell.
"I don't know? Why don't you let me out of this jail cell, then we will see how comfortable I am!" RDJ grumbled in annoyance, causing his enemy to laugh at him in a mocking way, which only infuriated him even more. But he dared not to give him any of the satisfaction that he was feeling angry in any way. "I love what you've done with the place…gives it a certain…spark…"
"Oh you like it so much? I think it definitely…should bring back a few memories…oh wait, it's your father's memories…" The Destroyer mocked him, whilst his enemy shot him a cold stare.
"DON'T SPEAK ILL OF MY FATHER!" RDJ screeched as he went to grab him through the steel bars of the jail cell. But he didn't get the chance as he was too far away.
The tension in the room was pretty heated. The bird who took everything away from The Destroyer was in the jail cell. So he wanted to make his imprisonment as painful as possible for him. But at the very same time have a little fun with him.
"Hahaha…Why are you so angry assassin? It's not like you have lost anything that major in your life…" The Destroyer continued to mock his enemy, which infuriated RDJ more and more.
"YOU KILLED MY BROTHER IN LAW…AND ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS!"
"AND YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!" The Destroyer shouted out loud in a booming voice, whilst throwing a glass bottle at the blue and gold macaw. Knocking him over as he landed on his back. "Okay…I really don't like shouting, it really messes with the throat you know."
"Hmmm, maybe I can fix that with my…" RDJ was about to extend one of his hidden blades. But after a few seconds, he realised that there was nothing o his wings. "What? WHERE ARE MY BLADES?! MY WEAPONS?!"
"Well, you won't be needing them now you are a prisoner eh? I just put them away for…safe keeping!" The Destroyer smirked as he crossed his wings.
"Hmmm…you are giving me more reasons to hate you every time I see you…" The assassin grumbled whilst spitting on the floor in disgust. Causing his enemy just to laugh sinisterly.
"I do try my best!" The evil male bowed whilst winking at him.
"I bet you do…" RDJ grumbled, without taking his eyes off of him.
The masked bird stood up and began to circle the jail cell that his enemy was trapped in, looking him up and down to sense that he wasn't impressed by him at all.
He took a little look at the clothes he was wearing, and he thought that it looked pretty pathetic. Even though they are the robes of an assassin, that was made by Carla and Tina back home in Rio.
"Do you want to know the real reason why I hate you so much?" The Destroyer asked as he strolled over to a certain wall, where a bunch of posters were hung up there. "Besides from the fact that you destroyed my weapons factory and weapons supply."
"I imagine it's because I took down half of your army by myself? I mean, how weak must all of them be not to stop me?" RDJ smirked and rolled his eyes, feeling bored of the conversation. "Any chance I can go now? You're making me pretty sleepy."
"No you insolent asshole! I hate you…because you just had to find what was rightfully mine!" The Destroyer growled as he realised that the staff was no longer in RDJ's possession. "Where is the staff?"
The blue and gold male looked around where he was standing, and noticed that the staff of Jair was no longer in his possession. Which did slightly confuse him, but he tried to look innocent in front of his arch rival.
"I thought you took it when you kidnapped me?" He innocently responded…but unfortunately that wasn't the answer he was looking for.
"DON'T…LIE TO ME!" He emphasised, whilst banging his fist up against the jail cell bars. "You know where it is! TELL ME!"
"Go fuck yourself!" RDJ cursed once more. Spitting in his face before turning away from him. But…The Destroyer was willing to go to…extreme measures to get what he wanted.
He picked up what appeared to be a large hose, which was connected to a pipe that spewed hot boiling water. The male turned it on and sprayed it directly at the blue as gold male. Who began to feel his skin boiling underneath his feathers.
"MMMMMM…YEAH…THAT ALL YOU GOT?!" RDJ screeched as he clenched his eyes shut. Clearly feeling a huge amount of pain after the blast.
"You know…you can make things a whole lot easier if you just tell me where the staff is?" The Destroyer growled as he aimed the hose at him again. "NOW TALK!"
"I thought I had it! I must have dropped it when I got knocked out?" RDJ replied with a slight wheeze. Feeling pain in his chest as well as pain on his shoulders.
"See, I thought that too! But, when I captured you the staff was no longer there? How do you explain that!" The Destroyer asked again as he sprayed more boiling hot water at the assassin.
"MMMMMM…FUCK! YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT SURELY?!" He was in absolute agony after the second spray. That he started to feel weak in the knees, and dropped to the floor as blisters appeared on his skin. "Ahhhh…I don't know where the staff is…"
"Ughhhh…" The Destroyer turned the hose off and threw it over his shoulder. Before pacing around the jail cell once more. Looking at his enemy with so much hatred.
RDJ peaked his eyes open to watch him circle the cell…and as he laid his eyes upon him…something caught his eye whilst he was in the light.
"Haaaa…What is that on your shoulder?"
The Destroyer noticed what he was staring at and quickly covered it with his wing to avoid him from seeing it. "Never mind that! Your pathetic blue friend Roberto did that to me!" He growled in anger, sitting back down on the seat.
"Awwww…I hope you didn't get hurt?" RDJ mocked him, rolling his eyes in annoyance.
"Like you did when your wife left you?" The Destroyer mocked him back, as he formed a sadistic grin.
Suddenly, the blue and gold macaw male paused briefly for a moment after hearing this. He didn't really want to be reminded of the most heartbreaking moment in his life. Besides losing his parents and best friend of course. "You leave my wife out of this…"
"Your EX wife! If I am not mistaken?"
"DON'T YOU…"
"What? Bring her into the conversation? She doesn't love you anymore! Just like your whole entire family!" The Destroyer continued to mock him, whilst pulling out a single blue feather from his robe…a feather that RDJ clearly recognised.
"Where did you get that?" He asked him with a concerned look, as he pointed towards the object that was clutched tightly in his talons.
"Oh, this? I found it at some kind of statue in the city…a statue where I had overheard the divorce." The evil male chuckled as he brushed it up against his cheek. "Mmmm…I wonder if this belonged to one of her chest feathers? That curvy…sexy…large breasted chest."
"Yes…I know…" Suddenly, a few tears rolled down the cheeks of the head of the assassins. As he felt his heart aching. This only made his enemy even happier.
"That's what I thought…you're weak! I mean…your team samba club were always weak…especially the day they lost their toucan friend…"
"I don't see how Rafael's death has anything to do with…wait…say that again?" RDJ asked…as he thought of something that Blu had told him quite a few years ago.
"Oooh…your friend Rafael? You didn't know? I'm surprised he never told you…" He remarked in a cocky manner. As he crossed his wings and smiled sinisterly at him once more.
"TOLD ME WHAT?!" The head of the assassins emphasised, bashing his wing up against the metal bars.
"Hahaha…If it wasn't for me cutting the power…Nigel would never have escaped…And your friend Rafi would have lived a few more years…"
Flashback – During The Events Of The Rise Of The Samba Club: Part 1…
"Hahahahaha! You can suffocate me, shock me, whip me, or even drown me! But you know that I won't talk! You know I won't!" Nigel cackled again even louder, but then, he did something very unexpected.
He managed to move his wings up and down so much when he was being suffocated, that he now had enough room to slip out of the ropes.
"You know what the sad part is?" Nigel got himself into position, and got ready to go for the exit. He also took a deep breath before preparing to do something unexpected.
"What?" Everyone simultaneously responded while cocking their heads to the side in confusion.
"That you thought you could trap me so easily? Now prepare to regret your decision!"
(Outside The Back Of The Samba Club…)
A bird in a mask stood outside of what appeared to be a power box. He put his wingtip up towards Nigel and he winked back at him. Not that the others knew what was going on of course.
"Now let's see how you like it…" The bird in the mask spoke as he cut the power line and opened the exit door of the samba club. Turning the light off where Nigel was sat.
Then Nigel grabbed Hazel in his talons and left the samba club immediately, running straight past the bird on the outside.
"Destroyer…thank you for helping me master…" The cockatoo bowed in front of who appeared to be his leader. Before making his escape into the jungle.
End Of Flashback…
"It was…IT WAS YOU?! YOU'RE THE REASON RAFAEL DIED?!" RDJ growled as he felt a lot of rage build up inside of him.
"You really think the lights just switched off by themselves? Ha! I mean…you weren't even as smart as the time that I convinced…you know what? It doesn't matter! What matters now, is that you enjoy your time here. Because unless I get that staff…you will have a fun time here! And you know what?"
"What?"
"I think I'm going to see if your wife…sorry…ex wife knows anything about the staff after the…divorce incident!" The Destroyer beamed as he was about to walk away from the irritated blue and gold macaw male.
"Lila?! SHE KNOWS NOTHING!" RDJ screeched whilst gripping both bars of the jail cell.
"I think I may need to pay her a little visit! Perhaps she could be as convincing once I get a certain…bird to talk to her?" The Destroyer smirked whilst he was referring to the bird that the head of the assassins saw kissing his wife previously.
"DON'T YOU DARE! LEAVE MY BROTHER OUT OF THIS!" RDJ screeched as he tried to bash the jail door open. But even with his strength, it was of no use.
"We shall see assassin! Now, I better go and find your beautiful little wife…sorry, ex wife…"
"I'LL KILL YOU IF YOU TOUCH HER!" The blue and gold macaw male growled and began to ram himself into the cage bars. But unfortunately they were as strong as steel, which would be difficult to break.
"You think she will care if anything happened to you? So why should you care about her?"
"BECAUSE I LOVE HER! I WILL RIP YOU IN HALF AND…"
"Good! Lose your temper! Lose control and get angry! Isn't that what assassins are good for? Well…at least not your father…" The bird in the mask then left the prison in a hurry, as he left a few guards to patrol in front of him.
"I'LL KILL YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE! I WILL KILL YOU!" RDJ screeched once more as he tried to break the bars with his muscles. But no matter how hard he pulled, or how tight his grip was…nothing would he able to break these bars.
After a few failed attempts to break them off, he gradually turned around and laid up against the jail cell bars. Then he slid down to the floor…burning his face in his wings. Sighing heavily in defeat whilst shaking his head from side to side.
"Oh Lila…Haaaa…If only I had been a better husband to you…I'm s-s-sorry Lila!" RDJ cried sadly whilst wiping his eyes.
As right now…RDJ was feeling that his emotions may slowly be disappearing. Well…all apart from one…sadness. And unfortunately in his situation…that was something he couldn't avoid. As the only thing on his mind whilst being in this small space was the fact he had just lost the love of his life…a certain someone who he thought that he'd never lose.
Now Let's Find Out Where Lila Is…
"You…ended your marriage with him?! But…why?!" Jacqueline asked her best friend with an extremely shocked expression.
"I couldn't do it anymore Jacqui. I made my choice!" The blue female was determined that she made the right choice in her life. But her friend on the other wing, thought differently.
"So what are you saying now?!"
"So…basically what I'm trying to say is…would you consider leaving Mexico with me?" Lila sounded very anxious when speaking to a certain someone at the church. And that someone revealed to be none other than her best friend Jacqueline.
"Lila…I can't just leave here with how things are going with Andy right now? Plus, I promised to stay here and help RDJ! Don't you think that you were being a little too rational when ending things with him?" The blue macaw female asked her best friend, who cocked her head sideways with an annoyed look.
"Rational?! The guy always put his work ahead of me. And lied to me several times! How do you expect me to react?" Lila responded defending herself, but her best friend on the other wing was more or less defending her ex husband.
"But you didn't need to come here with him? You could have stayed home in Rio…"
"Oh, so now you're against me too?!" She irritably grumbled and placed her wings on her hips. "Typical of my best friend to be against me!"
"No I'm not against you! You just have to realise that he didn't do anything wrong! Yes, okay he lied to you about a couple of things! But, let's not forget what you did to him…two days after you got back from your honeymoon!" The blue female pointed her wingtip at Lila…making her go wide eyed in horror. "Who was that hyacinth macaw again? Was it…"
"Hey! You know that the guy grabbed me on the ass and I thought it was my husband! So I turned around and kissed him…only to realise it wasn't him but a hyacinth macaw!"
"Yes! But when he asked you about it, you just said that he kissed you! So he then found him the next day, and broke his wing!" Jacqueline explained with an annoyed expression whilst rolling her eyes.
"Okay, so I lied about one thing! But he lied to me about two things!"
"Ooooh, so it's always a competition with you?! Lila…You know that RDJ lies to everyone when he's an assassin! His life has always been about protecting the ones he loves the most! Don't you think that he may have lied to you, just to protect you?!"
"W-Well…ughhhh…" Lila looked down quite stupidly, because she couldn't really think of an answer to give her. So Jacqueline placed a wing on her shoulder and lifted her chin up with her wingtip.
"Exactly! I think that maybe you need to have a long think about what you really want! Because if you ending things with your husband is something you didn't really want…then that is going to haunt you for the rest of your life. Don't you agree?" The blue female began to soften her expression and placed her other wing on her best friend's other shoulder. "Look Lila…you're my best friend! I would love nothing more than to see you happy every day of my life! I just…I don't want you to throw away something that can easily be fixed. You know?"
"I know…I just feel like I've had enough of being treated like I'm second best to him…" The replied yelps eyed female confessed as she wiped away her tears.
"Well…maybe some brief time apart may do you some good! But…just…don't leave Mexico yet! You can stay here with me and Andy. Just…maybe when RDJ comes here you can either leave the room or just be distant with him. Just until you figure out what is right for you. Deal?" She stuck her wing out for her best friend to shake. And she immediately replied by grasping her wing and shaking it.
"Deal…but I'm not going to just forgive him now. I just think it's best that I stay away from him…"
"And that is probably what is best for you for the time being. But remember, he is still the father of your kids? So it would be rash to…"
"I know! I know! But as for now we are divorced. Because I think that's the best thing for us. But…I will obviously listen to what you are saying." Lila lowered her head and turned away from her best friend.
"Did you by any chance see him after your conversation?"
"No? I was with…" The blue female paused briefly, knowing full well that if she told her that she was kissing Fred…it would make her look really bad. "I was with a couple of doves who were on a vacation. But I did hear him scream?"
"Hmmm…I hope he's okay?" Jacqueline thought you herself as she gazed up at the sky. Hoping that her muscular friend was safe and wasn't in any trouble at all.
If only she knew where he really was…
Now Let's Go Back To RDJ…
Our favourite assassin RDJ still had his head up against the jail cell bars…with his eyes closed whilst thinking about how to get out of the jail cell.
"Ughhh…Why is it that I always end up back to being an emotionless guy?" RDJ thought out loud whilst sighing heavily in defeat.
Being by himself in this small jail cell was very torturing for him. I'm t just reminded him of the fact that he was all alone and by himself once more. But…he wouldn't be alone for much longer.
"…Maybe it was because you always had to be the tough guy…"
RDJ heard a voice behind him…and it was a very familiar voice to him. One who he thought he would never hear again in his entire life.
"F-F-Felix?" RDJ stuttered in shock, as he couldn't believe his ears or eyes.
The blue and gold macaw male turned around to face where the voice had come from. And it revealed to be none other than the scarlet male himself…but in spirit form.
"What are you doing here?! Came here to gloat?!" The blue and gold macaw assassin grumbled, turning away from the enemy who he once fought.
"Not necessarily…just thought I'd see how the man who murdered me found himself locked in this tiny jail cell." The scarlet macaw chuckled whilst leaning up against the jail cell bars. "How is it that you got locked up in here? Nothing working out the way you planned?"
"Why don't you go and bother someone else for a change huh?! Can't you see that I'm already in the middle of something?"
"Oh…because it worked out so well for you!"
"It did actually! Because I ended up ruining your evil plans!" The blue and gold macaw male scoffed whilst crossing his wings. "How's Rose doing anyway?"
"Fuck you!"
"Ha! You wish gaybo…"
"Oh, is that right? Huh…so how did The Destroyer end up locking you in this jail cell, and you ended up dropping the staff? Or am I missing something here?" Felix scoffed back at his enemy, continuing to mock him.
"Look Felix, just do me a favour and stay dead! I don't need your stupid comments right now!"
"Hey, I'm only a figment of your imagination RDJ! The staff will make you hallucinate sometimes. Did you not know that?"
"Huh?"
"Yes? The staff makes you hallucinate! I'm surprised nobody told you such things." The scarlet male beamed as he sat down on what appeared to be some kind of old mattress. "How else would you explain her presence too!"
"Her presence?" RDJ cocked his head to the side in confusion…but that lasted only a few seconds before hearing another voice he hadn't heard of in a long time.
"Hi there handsome…"
The blue and gold male spun his head over his right shoulder, to lay his eyes upon the spirit of a girl that he once knew…Tilly herself.
"Tilly…Gosh you haven't changed!" RDJ spoke smoothly, as he backed up against the wall and sat down on the floor.
"And you…the head of the assassins eh? I never thought the student would have become the master?" Tilly spoke as she sat next to Felix on the bed. "And it's very nice to see you again…NOT!"
"Oh please Tilly! Let's not forget that I saved your life once!" The scarlet macaw male rolled his eyes.
"And you decided to kill over hundreds of innocent birds! Not to mention every blue and gold macaw besides myself and my sister!" RDJ pointed out, as he pulled his hood down because he felt a little hot.
"Oh come on RDJ! I'm not the one who killed all of your kind? I only told you that so you'd get angry!"
"WHAT?!"
"Oh yeah. It was a genius idea of mine to make you angry enough to lose all control of your emotions! But…I do know who killed your species." Felix spoke with a little secrecy as he winked at his former friend.
"Who? Who did it?!" RDJ beamed as he demanded to know who killed off his remaining species.
"Well…just because there is nothing I can do now, i may as well tell you."
"Just spit it out already! He has to know!" Tilly agreed with RDJ and heard was Felix was just about to say.
"Alright…The killer was Yo…" Felix didn't quite get to finish his sentence, and he immediately disappeared along with Tilly.
"No! Why does it always have to end in…OH SHIT!"
Suddenly…the staff of Jair came flying straight at the bars of the jail cell, slicing all of them in half. As a huge hole was made into the side of the jail cell, RDJ ducked out of the way. Completely shocked that his own staff came flying straight at him like that.
"What the…! Who the hell are you?!" RDJ remarked as he widened his eyes in surprise. Not realising that a bird had entered the jail cell. But it was the very same female as before, with Devine taking over her.
"Hey master! We have come to save the day! But…you may not like what we have to do…" Devine remarked out of the female's beak. Making RDJ even more confused.
"What are you talking ab…" Then with his sentence ending halfway, someone had knocked him unconscious with what appeared to be a sub machine gun. Knocking the head of the assassins out almost instantly.
The bird holding the gun was the father of the female bird, while he put his gun back on the holster on his back.
"Are you sure that this was necessary father?" The female asked whilst Devine allowed her to take over again once more.
"Daughter…we can't let ourselves be known to him yet! We have to now do the next task." He remarked as he reloaded his weapons and checked his ammunition.
"And what is our next move father?"
"We have to first take this…assassin to the library in the city to lay low with those green winged macaws we met in the city. Then once we do that, we head back to base and plan out our next move…" He spoke with determination, before gazing down at the unconscious macaw with a straight face.
Who were these two strangers?
Now obviously you will know who they are in the next chapter! But this is only going to get more tense from here! RDJ and The Destroyer have a little heart to heart, now he's going after his now ex wife Lila! Not only that…he was the one responsible for switching off the light in the samba club during the events in The Rise Of The Samba Club Part 1. The two birds from before managed to break him out of prison…and now Lila has agreed with Jacqueline to stay in Mexico with her…whilst keeping her distance from her ex husband. What will happen next you ask? I'll see you all soon for the next chapter!
