It has been a month since I arrived in Orario. And now,

I found myself getting launched through several trees and slamming my back on a boulder. Ow!

"Ais, Ren, Lunch time." Hearing the words of my big sister. It was official, I was now a part of the Wallenstein family as the cool adopted uncle. Oh, wait. This isn't a boulder. It's the manor's wall.

"You know, training usually involves you learning to fight, not getting launched into the manor and disturbing studies." The voice of one of the Familia executives, Finn Deimme, said as he opened the window.

"No stalkers today?" I asked as I pushed myself off the wall and stand on it upright.

"Thankfully, no-"

"Captain! I have your lunch!"

"Good luck, Finn," I said as I cut off the magic on my feet and found myself falling to the ground. With a small burst of magic, I used the wind around me to act as a cushion and land safely. Raising my hand and focusing on the signature or feeling of my staff, I cast a telekinesis spell and caught it. Spinning it in one hand while using an alteration spell to change its size and shape into a ring before wearing it on my right hand's middle finger.

Alteration was pretty overpowered but it rarely had enough use to directly damage any opponent in a fight. Feeling a rather familiar yet looming presence... I cast a small yet powerful whirlwind cloak that sent a blue and red missile flying.

"Loki," I greeted my boss as I looked at her.

"No fair! I wanna share some kinship with my," Oh no! A smaller yet weaker whirlwind cloak might be enough to reflect Loki's surprise missile charge but. Before I knew it the androgynous redhead was already mid-air. "Tongue-Chan!"

Reacting as fast as I could without the use of any destruction spells,

"Feim" The become ethereal shout allows its user to become a ghost-like entity, being immune to any damage for a small amount of time. I could see how Loki passed through my ethereal form and rolled until she hit the wall.

Yeah, I use the power of the thu'um to avoid physical contact and make my life easier. Speaking of Ais, she was slowly becoming more expressive. While still stoic as she is in the anime, she could be seen smiling more. Hell, I even noticed how Bete watched over Ais... should I be wary of him?

Ducking in front of a sword, I held it in one hand and sheathed it on my waist. This sword is Chillrend, temporarily enchanted to be dull and unable to cut flesh. A standard I did when I started training and being trained by Ais. For a 14-year-old, she was good and won all of our very close sword spars, while I completely trashed her in magic.

A simple paralysis spell or a frost breath shout usually incapacitated her.

The more I used my magic, the more I could feel that I improved. In fact, I have managed to create a Chidori but soundless. It was powerful but too risky to use because of tunnel vision. I just use a fire version of Rasengan. It was strong but I got in trouble with king green jr after the flames accidentally devoured some parts of her clothes.

That was two weeks ago and I had to use a lot of healing spells once she was done with me. It was worth it because she was so cute when blushing... but being used as a meatshield for monsters was not.

Arriving at the designated Wallenstein Family meal table, I raised my brow at the sight of the extended family, namely King green Jr and Lefiya.

"Morning," I greeted as I sat on a chair between Aria and Riveria. On my plate was a simple meal yet lovingly made a far cry to Ais' normally disastrous food.

"Any new plans for Ais' training?" Asked Riveria.

"None yet," I answered as I took a spoonful and ate it. "Although I have some magical control exercises. You can join too."

"Very well, I know how ridiculous you could be without your enchantments." She said and I could see a faint smirk on her face. Opting to ignore her, I slowly ate my meal in peace. I stared at Ais' sword, a rapier, she uses thrusts a lot.

"Ais, lend me your sword later, I have an idea," I said as I remembered Valyrian steel from Game of Thrones. It was called dragon steel and as a Dovahkin I am a dragonslayer. According to some fanfics, Valyrian steel could possibly be made using magic and dragon fire. Two things I have in abundance.

"I like where this is going," Loki said with a massive grin.

"I'm heading to the dungeon. I need to hunt some Dovah." I said as I finished my meal and used a minor levitation and flames spell to clean and sanitize my plate and utensils before sending them back to the picnic basket Aria brought.

"Dovah?" Lefiya asked, unaware of the term.

"Dragons. I need their blood for the experiment." I answered quickly as I smoothened my red and black vampire armor. "Wanna come with me?" I said towards Ais.

"Sorry, uncle." Ah! I felt my heart stop for a second there. "I promised mother I would spend time with her."

"That's fine." I could see how your green eyes looked at me, king green jr! "You?"

"I have nothing to do and it would be fun to see you struggle against a dragon." She said and I could practically hear the smugness in her voice.

"You're an evil woman," I said as I looked at Lefiya. The young elf wilted before standing and giving me a nod. "I'll teach you something when we get back," I said to the broken mage... I could only use around ten kinds!

So unfair!

Two hours later

"Are you even mortal!" Screamed a terrified Lefiya as she held onto her staff and poked a pile of flesh on the ground.

"Yes," I told her as I returned my Daedric swords to Oblivion. It has only been an hour since the morning lunch or brunch as it is called and now we, the mages of Loki Familia are now in the dungeon's 11th floor after 10 minutes of entering.

"Stop trying to comprehend him, Lefiya." Riveria, in contrast to her panting student, was dignified and poised despite the small drops of sweat traveling down her forehead. She held her staff and looked at the monster corpses around her and watched their magic crystals fly in the air and land inside the backpack Lefiya wore.

A simple Ice spear and a series of unrelenting force shouts were enough to instantly create holes in the dungeon's 11th floor.

It was not fast enough but it was efficient this way.

"An infant dragon, do you need our help?" Asked king green jr.

"Not really, but I'd appreciate it if you keep an eye out for," Noticing how Lefiya froze and by the heavy footsteps echoing around the floor, I cast and summoned a new pair of Bound swords.

The thousand elf

It was too fast! Normally, even a minor expedition to the 11th floor would take an hour due to numerous reasons but our Familia's new member for a month has done so in ten minutes by damaging the dungeon! It was insane! That's not counting how his sword style was!

If Ais' sword style was graceful like the wind, his was a combination of flames, lighting, and winter. Each swing was aimed to cause maximum damage yet as fast as possible. The Minotaur we passed over was killed by a lightning-element spell!

I stopped listening to the conversation between my master and the insane human to get some rest. They were both in front of me and while this human was lower-leveled than I am, he was more dangerous! He used a needle to kill several monsters using telekinesis!

Wait... is that an infant dragon! Not one! But three!

I could see how my mentor tightened her grip on her staff and I did the same, preparing my mind to cast one of the several dozens of spells I know of, I paused and stared as the insane human summoned his pair of swords and I could see the crazed grin on his face.

"Mul Qah Diiv," An ethereal armor formed over the human's form, covering the upper parts of his body and there was something off about him. It was the same as the infant dragons but there was a lot more there, something alien. The dragons roared and they let out a stream of flames aimed at the human.

Just as soon as they reached the human, a massive wall of ice took the blow, resulting in a cloud of mist.

"Wuld Nah Kest!" The human's voice boomed as a large explosion happened that resulted in the mist being blown away and the human was now behind the infant dragon in the middle, both blades sticking out of the dragon's mouth prying it open. He raised his hand as lightning gathered around it before using it to pierce the dragon's brain through its throat, killing it in an instant.

This was not a fight! This was a slaughter.

One of the dragons roared and let out a breath of flames towards the human, no, towards Ren Cruz. Instead of moving away, the young man looked at the stream.

"Fus Ro Dah!" Three words and an explosion of magical force disintegrated everything in its path, resulting in a crater and dispersing the flames. The infant dragon was ragdolled for several meters, bleeding all over.

Green orbs flew from his hands and into the downed forms of the dragons, stopping their bleeding and he turned towards the last dragon. It flinched and a small smirk appeared on his face. The human let go of his weapons and drew his sword made out of ice he called Chaos Blade. Fire, Ice, and lightning danced around the blade and he moved.

If Ais' sword style could be described as elegant and beautiful, his was brutal and effective. Using the hand and a-half sword as a rapier, the young man's blade pierced the dragon's scales and into its flesh.

The infant dragon lashed outwards and tried to take the human with him, only to spasm uncontrollably when Ren spoke.

"Joor Zah Frul," In contrast to his soft words, the dragon wailed in both pain and agony as it rammed its head into the dungeon's floor. Compared to the words from earlier, these words were... wrong. They felt cold, unnatural, and hateful. Ren grabbed the infant dragon's pierced hide and pried it open. "Yol Toor Shol!"

Blue flames erupted from the human's mouth and charged to the dragon's bare flesh. it was impossible! A level 1 dominating three infant dragons was impossible yet this human... He made it look easy.

Several spears of lightning formed around the human, piercing the three dragon's heads, making sure they were all dead.

The princess of elves

Brutal, quick, and efficient. That was how he fought those dragons. No, he was not efficient, he toyed with them. Loki told me that he was different and is probably stronger than most level fours and could be a match to some level five but this was surreal.

An infant dragon could be considered the floor boss of the floors before the Goliath and is classified as level 2 yet this man slaughtered them without any problem. it was different from the calm and muted persona he has around his sister and Ais. Yet... he was capable of this. And he was still improving. The only thing he lacked was experience and he wisely does not fight any monster not worth the effort and even then he would end it quickly.

I'm glad he is on our side.

The false Dragonborn

It took an hour of walking leisurely from the 11th floor to the guild. By walking leisure, I mean casting a muffle spell and several minor presence concealment spells to hide us from the dungeon. It was not my fault we took too long and it's not like I got distracted by the golden bird on the first floor.

I got blood on my sleeves from harvesting all those dragon blood and this better is worth it!

Sadly, I could not cash in the magic crystals because I needed them myself. So not only am I moneyless, but I was also maidenless... I can live with that!

The elves were gone and went to the secret shop to buy some magic stuff. Probably some magic books. I already switched to my adept-colored Mantled college robes, a pair of cuffed steel boots, and gauntlets. My enchanted face unrecognizer (name pending) was secured around my neck.

Maybe, I should visit that restaurant and cultivate some connections.

"Uhm, excuse me." A feminine voice said as I felt something tug on my robes' sash thingie. Looking to the side I saw the face of Bell's future waifu number ?, Freya.

"Yes, Freya?" Oh shit! My tongue slipped! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!

"You know? As expected of Akatosh's boy." Her cutesy innocent voice was replaced by the voice of Freya. No! My plans! I just wanted to eat!

"Can I go now? I want to eat..."

"I want to talk with the holder of one of my grandchildren's souls." Oh no! "I have some food for you to enjoy." Double oh no!

"Wuld-"

"Nahlot," Freya's soft voice echoed in my ears and before I knew it, I could no longer speak. No! Whirlwind sprint! You were supposed to save me! "Come on, I know a good place!"

Succumbing to my fate, I just hope that my experimental iron stomach spell would be enough.

Spoiler alert: It did not work as well as I hoped it would but I was still alive.

Okay, the first chapter of the preparation arc is here!

Now, don't worry, Freya is not part of Ren's harem and never will be.

The next chapter involves our false Dragonborn meeting a certain elf waitress, I wonder what will happen next?
