Chapter 35: Loona signs the paper
8 AM in Hell
It had been three hours since Loona and Jax did their heartbreaking investigation. Right now they were at the I.M.P office along with the others. Loona had told Blitzo, Moxxie, and Millie the sad news of what happened to Jax's mom.
Millie was on the couch cuddling Jax in her arms. Poor Jax was still struck hard over the loss of his mom and was lightly crying into Millie's chest.
"Shhhhhhh there there baby. There there shhhhhhhh." Millie tenderly whispered as she grabbed some nearby tissues to wipe the poor pup's face
Moxxie was looking over the two photos and Amanda's necklace. Blitzo stood nearby with his arms crossed feeling super displeased over the fact that out of all the people in Hell, the exorcist really had to target Jax's mom.
"Okay now I know this whole extermination deal is to control our population count but seriously! Out of all the demons in Hell did they really have to choose this poor kid's mom!? That is just fucked!" Blitzo said in frustration
Meanwhile Loona was putting a plan together in her head. A plan that she wished she should have done when she very first found Jax and took him in. After putting her plan together, Loona goes over to Millie and gestures for her to hand over Jax which she gladly does. Loona takes Jax into her arms and warmly cradles him against her chest as she tenderly rubs his back soothing him. Somehow being in Loona's embrace helped Jax calm down from crying, but he was still heartbroken.
"Blitz, I'm gonna need your keys again." Loona requested
"Okay Loonie. Where you going this time?" Blitzo asked as he handed Loona the van keys
"I gotta go do something very important." Loona said before quickly leaving the office with Jax in her arms
"Now I wonder what she's up to again?" Blitzo thought as he rubbed his chin
Moxxie sits on the couch with Millie and shows her the photos of baby Jax and his mom.
"Poor baby. He didn't deserve to lose his mommy like that. It hurts me so much to see him cry his heart out. It hurts me so much Mox." Millie said sadly upon seeing the photos
"I know honey. I'm with you." Moxxie said sympathetically as he put his arm around Millie
Several minutes later at Stolas's mansion
Everything was quiet and calm until the grey I.M.P van pulls up in front.
Loona gets out of the van with Jax in her arms and goes up the front steps of the mansion up to the front door.
"*sniff* L-Loona? *sniff* Why are we here?" Jax asked through sniffles
"Well Jax ummm...I have to go do something very important so I'm gonna leave you here with your babysitter for today. Are you okay with that?" Loona asked
Jax slowly nodded yes in response.
"Hey Jax look at me." Loona whispered as she gently lifts his snout with her finger
"Everything is gonna be okay. I promise. You're going to be alright kiddo." Loona assured
Inside the mansion, Octavia was in her bedroom sitting at her vanity mirror applying purple eyeshadow on her eyelids while listening to her earbuds. As she was finishing the final touches of her makeup, her phone suddenly lights up with a new text message from Loona. Octavia picks up the phone and reads the message thread.
"Hey tavia it's me Loona"
"Im at your front door"
"Can you come C me?"
"We have a huge problem"
"Jax is here 2"
Octavia was a bit puzzled of Loona and Jax's sudden arrival but she responds to the text with...
"B right There"
Octavia leaves her bedroom to go to the front door of the mansion. Outside, Loona and Jax waited patiently until Octavia finally came and opened the door.
"Loona? Jax? What brings you two here?" Octavia asked
"Hey Octavia. Are you free for today?" Loona asked
"Ummm why yes I-" Octavia stops mid sentence when she sees Jax's face. He looked like he had been crying like a fountain.
"Is...Is he alright? What happened?" Octavia asked growing concerned
Later
Loona and Octavia talked privately together outside the bedroom while Jax sat on Octavia's bed. Loona finished explaining to Octavia of what happened.
"So his mum died when he was just a baby?" Octavia asked in a shocked state
"Yeah. It was very hard for him." Loona said
"Oh bloody Hell. That is awful." Octavia said in sympathy as she glanced at the poor pup on her bed through the open bedroom door
"But I made a special plan. Which is why I want you to watch Jax for today."
"Really? What do you have planned while I watch him for you?" Octavia asked
"...Now do not tell him this but I'm gonna go out and see about adopting him as my own pup." Loona said
"Really? You're finally going to adopt him?"
Loona nodded yes
"Well that's bloody wonderful. But why shouldn't I tell him? Why can't he know?" Octavia asked
"Because I wanna surprise him. Now while I'm out, can you do your best to help him feel better?" Loona asked
"Certainly. You can count on me." Octavia smiled
"Perfect. I'll have him picked up towards the end of the day. Got it?"
"Understood." Octavia acknowledged with a solute
With that Loona leaves out of the mansion. Once outside she gets in the grey van and drives en route to the adoption center to accomplish her mission.
(The same adoption center where Blitzo adopted Loona)
With Loona now gone, Octavia goes into her bedroom and sits on the bed with Jax
"Jax...dear" Octavia said softly getting his attention
Jax slowly looked up at his babysitter who had a compassionate expression on her face.
"Jax...I heard what happened to your mum. I am dearly sorry." Octavia said in a sisterly tone as she tenderly brushed her hand over his head
Jax says nothing but slowly starts to cry more tears in response. Octavia right away lifts him onto her lap and warmly cuddles him while caringly comforting him with all her heart.
Several hours later
After making the trip to the adoption center, Loona was now back at the I.M.P office. She was sitting at her desk signing away on a piece of paper with a pen. As Loona wrote on the paper, Blitzo suddenly comes up on her left.
"Hey there Loonie! Watcha writing there?" Blitzo asked
"None of your business." Loona calmly responded while keeping her eyes on the paper
"Come on you can tell me. After all I adopted you so I have the ri-"
"BLITZ! Can't you see I'm busy!" Loona glared at Blitzo
"...Alright then. You do you." Blitzo said going away
Loona goes back to focusing on the paper.
*Scribble scribble. Scribble scribble.*
Suddenly in a flash, Blitzo zips by and snatches the paper.
"YOINK!"
"What the- BLITZ!" Loona shouted
With the paper now in his hands, Blitzo quickly reads through it.
"Let's see, yada yada yada. yada ya- *GASP!* OH SHIT! M&M! LOONA'S FILLING OUT AN ADOP-*CHOKE!*"
Loona viciously grabs Blitzo by the neck with one hand and raises him. Carefully she takes the paper from his hand without tearing it before angrily yeeting him at a wall.
*SMASH!, THUD!* "...O-O-Owww!" Blitzo groaned in pain after impacting the wall and falling to the floor. Loona threw him so hard that the wall now has cracks.
Loona goes back to her desk to finish the paper right before Moxxie and Millie come into the room.
"What the hell happened here?" Millie asked
"Did I hear a bang?" Moxxie added
"*Cough Cough!* Guys! *Cough!* Loona's filling out- *Cough!* An adoption certificate!" Blitzo announced excitedly as he got back up while grasping his neck recovering from the choke
"Wait! An adoption certificate!?" Moxxie asked surprised
"Loona is this true!?" Millie asked in disbelief
Loona decided she might as well let it out.
"*Sigh* Yes I'm signing an adoption certificate to become Jax's new mom. Happy now?" Loona said in a bothered tone as she held up the certificate
There was 4 seconds of silence with everyone having shocked expressions on their faces except for Blitzo.
"...SQUEEEEEEEEEE! THAT'S AMAZING!" Millie shouted with stars in her eyes
"Well that's new." Moxxie smiled casually
"WOOHOOHOO! This is a fucking glorious day! I'm gonna be a GRANDFATHER!" Blitzo shouted while jumping excitedly
"Loona is a mommy! Loona is a mommy!" Millie cheered in a sing song tone while dancing around
"Seriously could you all calm the fuck down right now!?" Loona said getting annoyed by all the loud excitement going on
"Oh my Loonie I am so proud you sweetie!" Blitzo cooed as he hugs Loona tightly while rubbing his face on her furry cheek causing her to growl in response
"Blitz! Get the fuck off of me before I throw you again!" Loona warned
"Oh hehe sorry. I'm just so happy for you." Blitzo smiled as he released himself off of Loona
"This is exactly why I didn't wanna tell you at first!" Loona glared
"We are so proud of you Loona! You have been so caring and nurturing to the pup, now you're officially going to be his new mommy!" Millie said with her heart full of joy
"Yeah you could say that." Loona said calmly
"I say we all fucking celebrate!" Blitzo shouted as he whipped out a cigar
