After treating the little girl with the severe head trauma, Hawkeye realized he'd found a way to answer the letter from Ronnie, about Ronnie's hatred toward doctors for his brother's death. It wasn't easy to write (and the letter wasn't at all easy to read) but once Hawkeye started writing, he couldn't stop. He hoped and prayed that Ronnie would understand. When Hawkeye noticed that the rain had stopped and the birds were singing, his world changed yet again.
