Margaret didn't know whether to laugh or cry as she watched her father ride off in the jeep. Just when she thought that her father's visit had been a complete disaster and that he was disappointed in her, he'd confessed that he was proud of her. The words might have been small but they meant the world. She'd screwed up so many times since he'd arrived and she wanted so much to make him proud. She wasn't sure what prompted him to say such things, but she was glad that he did. She hoped he knew how much she loved him.
