Shortly after Link has acquired the Master Sword, Sora, Kairi, Link, Linkle, Pikachu, and Angel are being escorted by Impa to the Hyrule Castle. Pikachu rode with Sora on one horse while Angel rides with Kairi on another. The horse galloped throughout the land of Hyrule as fast as the horses could rise since Impa has sensed imminent danger.
"How much further are we until we reach the castle?" Sora asked.
"We shall be there soon enough," Impa replied.
"So she kept saying," Sora said under his breath and holding on.
Kairi thought if Zelda is a Princess of Heart Teol has mentioned before. She decided not to jump the gun until then.
Speaking of which, Agahnim stood in a chamber with two maidens in chains. One has the female humanoid with the traits of an amphibian and a fish. And another head taller thanthe first maiden, she has a pale blueish complexion from the Twilight Realm. Likewise, she has orange hair, and red eyes. She wears a hooded cloak in that may be some kind of royalty garb.
"One of them is one of the Princesses of Heart. But which one is it?" Agahnim asked. Ganondorf arrived.
"Have you managed to identify the Princess of Heart yet?" Ganondorf asked.
"Not yet, my lord. I was about to when you arrived," Agahnim said.
"I see," Ganondorf said.
"Lord Ganondorf, I simply cannot understand why you need one of these two when we could be searching other worlds for the remaining princesses," Agahnim said.
"It has been said that two Princesses of Heart are from the same world, so it is a possibility we cannot overlook. And we need all seven to open the final door, so any fewer is useless," Ganondorf said.
"I understand, my lord. I have sent the army out to retrieve Princess Zelda. They should be near there soon," Agahnim said.
"Excellent. While the fight rages on, we will make our move and abduct Zelda," Ganondorf said. "And have you located the Keyhole as well?"
"No, I still haven't. I sent a small sum of the Moblins to search for it. I told them to report to you or myself when they do," Agahnim said. Ganondorf said nothing more.
Back at the castle, Sora, Kairi, Link, Linkle, Impa, Pikachu, and Angel entered the throne room and stood before a beautiful young woman with blonde hair and a shade of blue almost like Sora and Kairi's. She wore an elegant pink dress with a red bird-like symbol under the Triforce. She sees the group enter the throne room. Impa kneels before her.
"Princess Zelda, I have done what you have requested," Impa said.
"Thank you, Impa," Zelda said, approaching the group. She starts with Link. The left piece of the Triforce gave off a blue glow on the princess's hand. The right piece of the Triforce gave off a green glow. "So it's true. You have the Triforce of Courage." She then turned to Sora and Kairi and she walked up to the couple. "And you. Your lights are different from the Triforce."
"Our lights?" Sora asked.
"I never sensed anything like it. Could it be that you are not from this world?" Zelda asked. Sora and Kairi both gasped when Link and Linkle looked at the couple.
"How did you know?" Kairi asked.
"It was your light that told me," Zelda said. Sora and Kairi were shocked to hear that it was their lights that told them. "Also, it was your clothing and the small creatures with you. I assume that you're here to look for the Keyhole."
"You know about the Keyhole?" Sora asked.
"I Do. I was told that Ganondorf is in search of the Keyhole," Zelda said. Link and Linkle kept looking at the couple, so they had to say it.
"Okay, we did come from another world, but we weren't supposed to say anything about it," Sora said.
"We were told about what Ganondorf has planned, so we're traveling into different worlds hoping to stop him in his tracks," Kairi said.
"Then we have a common enemy," Zelda said. "And there's no doubt that Ganondorf knows that you're here by now. And he will be making his move."
"Which is what brings me to say this. The shadow creatures are appearing to be coming from Ganondorf's dominion," Impa said.
"I suspected as much," Zelda said.
"Your highness, do you know where the Keyhole is since you know about us?" Sora asked.
"Unfortunately no. I was only told of the Keyhole when I was little, but its location was never revealed to me. Its hiding place remains unknown up to this day; it was kept a secret to keep out of the hands of evil," Zelda said.
"Great," Sora deadpanned.
"Hold on, we don't even need these two, because I have the Master Sword, so I can use it to take out Ganondorf," Link said.
"You're just saying that just so you can show off to the princess," Linkle teased. Kairi giggled as Link and Linkle argued.
"Me and Karen aren't like that, are we?" Sora asked in a whisper.
"Maybe a little," Kairi whispered back. Sora then stepped in before Impa grew irritated.
"Okay, kids, break it up or you're both gonna be sitting in the corner," Sora said, breaking up the arguing siblings. "I can't believe I'm being the mature one."
Just then a guard came busting in.
"Your highness!" The guard said with a kneel. "We are under attack!"
"Under attack?!" Sora exclaimed in shock.
"It's gotta be Ganondorf behind this," Impa said.
"Agreed. Impa, prepare the army for battle!" Zelda ordered.
"Yes, your highness," Impa said. Zelda looked at Sora, Kairi, Link, Linkle, and the Pokémon.
"You're welcome to partake in the battle up ahead," Zelda said.
"I'll be more than willing to fight, princess," Link said.
Sora and Kairi took out their Pokéballs and let out Pidgeot, Dragonite, Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Gengar, Alakazam, Golem, Machamp, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Raichu, Vileplume, Bellossom, Wigglytuff, Clefable, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Glaceon, Leafeon, and Sylveon to join right in as they summoned their Keyblades.
They join in the battle against Ganondorf's forces since they knew the Heartless are involved, and they had to be stopped in their tracks. The castle gates opens and they step out with the army of Hyrule and they see several Heartless as they thought they would along with Moblins, Goriyas, and other monsters of Hyrule. They were getting closer and closer.
"Here they come," Sora said.
"Be ready," Link said. Impa drew her sword and held it forward.
"Attack!" Impa shouted.
The soldiers charge towards the monster army with their weapons out with Sora, Kairi, and their Pokémon running with them. The fierce battle starts when both armies made contact with each other. Several Armored Knights surrounds Sora, so he took them down as Pikachu gave a jolt of Thunderbolt at the Shadows and the Moblins that charged at him.
Kairi has put her magical abilities to use against the Moblins. Several Goriyas threw boomerangs at her, but she cartwheels out of the way as Vileplume and Bellossom attacks with Petal Blizzard, blowing them away.
Charizard and Flareon unleashed Flamethrower, burning several Moblins and Goriyas. Venusaur smacked several Stalfos. Blastoise and Vaporeon blasted water against several Moblins while Pidgeot blew a powerful wind, blowing several warriors in red armor and spears. Machamp gave some Moblins and Goriyas a toss in the air as Alakazam uses Psychic on several Goriyas. Gengar scares several Moblins, making them run away as Golem plows right throw them like they were bowling pins. Nidoking and Nidoqueen danced a tango, hitting several of them at once while Glaceon froze them all in place. Leafeon fired Razor Leaf at the Stalfos while Wigglytuff and Clefable clobbered several Heartless. Raichu and Jolteon shocked several of the enemies while Dragonite unleashed Dragon Pulse at the enemies and Sylveon smacked them with her feelers.
Sora and Pikachu met up with each other as several Soldiers and Armored Knights were chasing after them. Sora and Pikachu slashed at the Heartless the Keyblade and Iron Tail at their pursuers.
Angel fired Swift at the Shadows while Kairi slashed at a Wyvern coming at her. Another Wyvern was heading right at her when an arrow hits it. It came from Linkle's crossbows.
Link fought hard against the hordes of monsters coming at him. He slained some of the Moblins, Goriyas, Stalfos, and Heartless he came across. He fired arrows and threw bombs at the attacking monsters on occasion.
Impa was holding her own against the Heartless. She managed to take down several of them.
"Keep fighting! Do not allow the enemy to reach the castle!" Impa ordered.
Several octopus-like monsters came and shot rocks at the soldiers, so Dragonite lands a hit with his Dragon Rush, sending the octopus monsters flying. These creatures are known as the Octorok.
The battle was fierce. Both sides had suffered some casualties. While the fight was taking place, Cia emerged from the shadows and she grinned.
"It's all going as planned," Cia said. She entered in the castle grounds and set off to find Zelda.
On the battlefield, Volga slashed at the Hyrulian soldiers coming at him and breathed fire, burning them to a crisp. He stood before Sora and Pikachu as he pushed a Moblin back.
"So, you're one of the brats whom Ganondorf has spoken of. I am not impressed," Volga said.
"And you are?" Sora asked.
"I am Volga. I am your executioner," Volga said, taking out his spear and he lunged forward, but Sora jumped and lands on his feet behind him.
"You're going have to do better than that," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Brat!" Volga roared as he spewed flames from his mouth. Sora casts his reflect spell, making the flames bounce off. "Impressive magic, but it won't save you." His hands both turned to dragon claws and he came right at Sora to slash at him. Kairi, Link, Linkle, Impa, and Angel arrived after fighting their way through Ganondorf's forces. Link rushed into action as did Kairi and Angel.
"Sora!" Kairi exclaimed as she ran. Before Volga could finish off Sora, Link gave him a slash with the Master Sword while Kairi embraced her boyfriend in a protective fashion. Volga looked at Link with a hateful stare.
"You! You're the one!" Volga said.
"You sound like you wanted to see me," Link said.
"Oh, I did. The Hero of Time has come back once again. Today will be the end of the reincarnation cycle; and I will end it here and now!" Volga said. Volga and Link engaged in combat. He tried to slash at Link with his dragonish claws, but Link blocked with his shield and pushed him back. Volga grabbed his spear after his hands changed back and charged at Link, but he dodged, so he came at Volga. The fight between them both raged on.
Back at the castle, Cia walked through the castle, and she used her dark magic to subdue any guard that tried to stop her. She eventually made it to Zelda's bedroom. The Princess of Hyrule was shocked to see her.
"Who are you, and why are you here? How did you get past my guards?" Zelda asked.
"Not important, princess. I only came here for you. The Hero of Time and the Keyblade wielding children aren't here to protect you, so you're coming with me," Cia said, casting a spell on Zelda, making her unable to move. She laughed as she took the princess with her through a dark portal. She arrived to Ganondorf's castle with Agahnim waiting for her. "I have brought her as you requested, Agahnim."
"Excellent job, Cia. I suspect that the distraction is a success?" Agahnim asked.
"Indeed. By the time they realize what has occurred, it will already be too late," Cia said.
"Our lord will be pleased by this resolve," Agahnim said.
Back with the fight between Link and Volga, Link gave Volga a kick in the chest when Volga was left open. He fell backwards. Link points the sword at his chest.
"It's over. You lost," Link said. Volga laughed.
"Did I?" Volga asked. Link is confused. Volga laughed some more. "You're the ones who lost, hero. I don't have any doubt that my mistress Cia has already infiltrated the castle by now. And by now, your princess is in our clutches. And the Keyhole to this world will be ours as well." Volga then laughed again as he transformed into a large red dragon with a mane made of flames. Volga flew off into the distance as the rest of Ganondorf's forces have retreated. Impa feared the worst when she heard Volga say those things.
"Could he be right?" Linkle asked.
"I hope not," Kairi said.
Impa didn't say anything and she started to run. She passed by many of the soldiers. Sora, Kairi, Link, Linkle, Pikachu, and Angel followed her to the castle. She entered through the castle gates and ran towards Zelda's bedroom and opened the door.
"Your highness!" Impa called out. There was no answer. She knew Volga was telling the truth and she has failed. Sora, Kairi, Link, Linkle, Pikachu, and Angel entered the room and didn't see Zelda anywhere.
"Princess Zelda!" Link exclaimed.
"We're too late!" Linkle said.
"The battle was a distraction. The capture of the princess was their main objective and we played right in their hands," Impa said, slamming her fist against the wall in frustration.
"Impa, we'll get her back," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu nodded.
"He's right. There's still hope," Linkle said.
"We shouldn't give up that easily," Link said.
"Agreed. I will disgrace my ancestors if I give up now," Impa said.
"But we don't know where to look," Kairi pointed out.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I do. Ganondorf's castle. It's just north of Hyrule," Impa said.
"That's a good start. And we can put an end to this whole thing," Sora said.
"Ganondorf might be setting a trap for us. He wants us to come, Sora," Kairi said.
"He won't be disappointed," Sora said. Kairi didn't like this one bit, but she knew her boyfriend was right and there was no avoiding it. Defeating Ganondorf may put an end to Ganondorf's goals, so she had to agree.
"Okay, Sora. I'm in," Kairi said.
And it was on! The mission to rescue Princess Zelda has begun. Will Sora, Kairi, and their friends make it to Ganondorf's castle and save Zelda and the worlds before Ganondorf get away? Just wait and find out when we continue on.
