So for the next longer period of time three did their job. It was hard, speaking of walking, and...learning, of course. Also, they would ask people for food, clothes (mostly Wakko, 'cause they had to give it back after a certain period of time) and what not. There would be stuff like mallets (yes, people have them if they're working in a craft store or something like that), bankets, and other things they'd probably have in their hammerspace and Wakko in his gaggy bag.
Speaking of which, Wakko and his brother were learning pretty well and Dot was glad about it, even tough it still hadn't lead to Yakko apologizing to his siblings for not taking such a good care of them. Well, little did all of them know it was going to happen pretty soon.
"Dot..." "Hey...why're you crying...?", she asked het immediate older brother gently. Wakko woke her up one cold early December night, while the frost was covering the windows and they were sleeping in a dark alley under warm bylankets. "I...I had a nightmare...", said Wakko with tears in his eyes. "Aww...don't worry, it's just a- wait. A nightmare? What was it about? Clowns again?", Dot asked. Seeing him cry after a nightmare wasn't very common, so she probably assumed it wasn't about clowns. Still, she wasn't sure.
"No...", said Wakko, "It was even worse...". "Aww...", said Dot gently and hugged him. She didn't want to know, it was just a dream after all. But then...
Wait, what? He's...shaking?!
Dot placed a hand on her brother's cheeck. Sure enough, it was heating. Oh no...
She got up and looked down at Wakko, "Do you...want me to pick you up?', she asked. "Ok...", he said. So she did. Then she came to the oldest and yanked his hand, "Yakko! Wake up!".
As soon as he woke up, Yakko gasped and got up, "What happened to him?!", he asked. "Fever!", said Dot, "What else could it be?!". "Huh?", Wakko looked at her with a confused face. Dot sighed, "I'm sorry Wakko, but you're not feeling well". Wakko frowned. "Don't worry", said Dot, "Come on guys! We gotta get going before something happens, it's freezing here!". So they all packed their things (Dot for both her and Wakko) and continiued their now even harder journey.
A/n: If you think I'm dramatizing, this is angst, remember?
