I flew across the sky, clutching a dark red crystal. I had managed to snatch it from the Rainers island, and now I just had to get back to my base. I flew past Jake, who was fighting with one of the Jurdens over a bright orange crystal. I was only a few metres away from my base when I saw a Rainer fly up to our base and scramble onto the island. Daryl immediately barred his way, but to my horror, the Rainer reached forward and yanked off Daryl's jet-pack. I gasped as he collapsed onto the ground, gasping for breath. I shot towards the Rainer, almost crashing into him. ""What have you done to Daryl?" I yelled. The Rainer quickly dodged behind me, grabbed a crystal and fled. I turned to Daryl. His face was alarmingly pale. I sat down and scooped him onto my lap. Tears rolled down my face as I stared down at my brother. I was vaguely aware that the strange man had let out a shrill whistle to signal the end of the second round. I glared at him. This was all his fault. If only he hadn't come here with his stupid proposal, Daryl would've still been, alive.. I felt like pouncing on him, but before I could do anything, he started speaking. "Good job so far, teams. On to the third, and final, round. Now, this round will be much the same as the second one, the aim is still to kill and steal crystals, except this time, it will include astroids." He clicked his fingers and three medium-sized rocks appeared floating a few feet away. "You do not want one of these in your base, since just one astroid is minus one thousand points to the entire team. However, if you manage to collect all three astroids, that will be plus three thousand points to the team. Ok, begin!" I was not planning to take part of the third round, but then I felt someone's hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see a sad-faced Jake. "Come on, Harley. Let's go and join the others." "No, I have to stay with Daryl," I said. I felt more tears gathering in my eyes, but I blinked hard. I could not leave. I needed to keep my brother company. "Harley, we need you. You are a skilled fighter, and this round sounds more intense than ever." His voice softened as he said, "Come on, Harley. If we win these games, then we will be able to go home and give Dar a proper burial." I looked down at Daryl. His dark hair framed his pale face, and finally I nodded slightly. Then I lowered my brother carefully onto the ground, and joined my team-mates, who were quietly talking on the other side of the island. I was grateful when no one said anything as I approached. Catrin just glanced at me before continuing her sentence. "So we need to decide if we are going to try and collect the astroids or stay away from them."

Before anyone could make any suggestions, Lotti suddenly flew up behind us. We eyed her warily, but she held up her hands. "Don't worry, I'm not here to attack you. I came to ask if you guys wanted to join up and attack the Jurdens together? After all, look. They have already gotten their hands on all of the astroids." We followed her gaze and saw three shadows on the Jurdens island. Catrin looked back at Lotti. "Well, okay." "Great! Follow me!" Lotti turned and zoomed back towards her team, who were all standing gathered on their island. Catrin quickly turned to us. "I don't really trust this girl. I think one or two of us should stay back and defend our island, just in case." She ran her eyes over the team, before saying, "Harley and I can stay behind. The rest of you can join in on the fighting." Jake, Drayson and Felice immediately lifted off and flew towards Lotti's team. "And don't kill anyone!" Catrin called after them. I sat on the edge of my island and watched the two teams charge at the Jurdens. I saw Jake fling one of them onto the island, making his jet-pack slip sideways. The Jurden gasped for air and frantically reach to fix it. Drayson was battling his way through a group of Jurdens, skillfully evading their lunges for his jet-pack. My heart was pounding by the time he broke free of them and flew towards their island. I spotted five Rainers lugging the astroids back towards their base while Lotti screamed for them to hurry up.

Then, I felt someone brush past me. I spun around to see a Jurden scooping up one of our yellow crystals. "Hey, come back here!" Catrin yelled as he dashed off. I turned back to the fighting scene and saw a Jurden sneaking up on Drayson. I yelled out for him to watch out, but he didn't hear me. The Jurden reached for Drayson's jet-pack, but at the last moment Drayson seemed to sense someone behind him. My heart was pounding as he quickly shot downwards, taking the Jurden by surprise. His hand hovered in the air where Drayson had been and he blinked.

Then the man behind us yelled out, "Stop!" All of the teams stopped thrashing around and started flying towards us.
