Sinking Fast-Ch 30
As they entered the reception area Derek and Penelope smiled, they'd done it. they were married, they were now and forever husband and wife and would now spend the rest of their lives together. Fran stood back beside Marcie smiling as Derek pulled Penelope into his arms and kissed her lips passionately, when they pulled apart Fran said, "how about we have your first dance as husband and wife"?, Derek and Penelope nodded their heads yes in agreement.
Derek sighed happily as his wife laid her head down on his shoulder, he held her close and kissed the top of her head and said, "I love you Mrs. Morgan", she said, "and I love you Mr. Morgan, always have and always will". Music filled the air and Penelope looked up at Derek as the words to "At Last" started filling the air, she said, "how did you know that this was one of my favorite oldies"?, he kissed her gently on the lips and said, "I didn't, but it's a romantic song that expresses two peoples love for each other so I thought it fit the situation perfectly".
Penelope said, "it does my love, it does" and after about 30 seconds the other couples joined the newlyweds on the dancefloor for their first dance, Penelope still couldn't believe this was real, not only was she married to the sexiest man she had ever met but she was going to have a baby, his baby, her hotstuff's baby".
When the first dance was over Fran, Desi and Sarah put the last of the dinner on the huge tables that were set up for the reception dinner and as everybody sat down Penelope said, "everything looks amazing Fran, thank you, thank you all so much". Fran said, "you are very welcome honey, I hope everybody is hungry because we have prepared enough to feed a small army" and Mark said, "well it looks like you have one" causing everybody to laugh.
Over the next hour or so everybody laughed, ate and talked as they celebrated not only the wedding and marriage of Derek and Penelope but also the news that they would soon be welcoming another member to their family, two new members with Mark and Marcies little one and nothing made Fran happier than knowing that she was going to have babies to spoil rotten.
After everybody was done eating Derek danced with his mom while Penelope danced with Dave, Derek then danced with JJ, Emily, his sisters and finally Marcie before making his way back to his wife. Penelope danced with Hotch, Reid and Mark before making her way back to her sexy husband and once she was in his arms again she felt whole again, she felt loved and she felt at peace.
A little while later Fran and the girls pushed out a two tier cake and everybody gathered around it and Derek said, "momma this is amazing, how did you pull this off so fast"?, Fran said, "never underestimate your momma Derek Michael Morgan". He held up his hands and said, "never have momma and never will, not ever" causing Penelope to laugh as she looked up at her husband, their attention then turned to the cake as Fran handed them the knife.
Penelope held the knife and Derek put his hand on top of hers and he leaned in and kissed the side of her neck as their hands pushed the knife through the layer of cake. They then put the piece of cake into the plate and each picked up a large bite and gently put it in their spouse's mouths and Derek kissed her on the lips gently causing everybody to say, "awwwwww" as they watched the happy couple.
As the evening was coming to a end Mark and Marcie looked at the happy couple and Mark said, "Marcie and I have a special gift for our new newlyweds" causing everybody to look up at them waiting for Mark to continue. Mark said, "Marcie and I have booked the honeymoon suite at The Beaumont Hotel for the two of you for the next week, we found out that you weren't going to go out of town so we decided to make your honeymoon a little special".
Penelope said, "awww, thank you guys but you didn't have to do that", Marcie said, "we wanted to do it, we wanted to do everything we could to make sure that your honeymoon was memorable". Mark said, "everything has been taken care of, the staff was told to get you whatever you wanted and to not disturb you unless it was an absolute emergency".
Derek said, "thank you both so much, I can't tell you how much this means to me and baby girl", Marcie said, "just enjoy your time together and love each other like their is no tomorrow, because we never know what tomorrow holds". Penelope stood up and walked over to her friends and pulled them both into a big hug and thanked them over and over, after a few seconds Derek joined the hug causing everybody to laugh.
Soon it came time for the newlyweds to make their way to the hotel for their honeymoon, they said their goodbyes and hugged everybody again, making sure to thank everybody for everything they had done to help them before making their way to the waiting car that was sitting in the driveway.
As the happy couple sprinted across the yard they were followed by their family who was tossing birdseed at them, everybody laughed and waved as the couple climbed into their car and pulled away from the curb. They stood waving until the car disappeared out of sight at the end of the driveway, Fran then sighed and said, "be happy baby boy, be happy".
She then felt two strong arms wrap around her, Dave kissed her on the side of the neck and said, "don't worry Bella, they will be, they will be", she nodded her head yes in agreement as they walked over to rejoin the others for some more celebrating.
