Sinking Fast-Ch 32

Over the next several months things settled down for the happy newlyweds as they adjusted to their lives together as a married couple and as expecting parents, both made them so so happy. When the team was on downtime the men would work on the nursery while the women planned the dual baby shower for Penelope and Marcie.

Derek wanted to make sure that everything in the nursery was exactly what his baby girl had ever wanted and dreamed of for their child so he along with the others worked hard to make sure the nursery was perfect, Marcie was a little over 7 1/2 months pregnant and Penelope was 7 months along and so far so good with both pregnancies and the women were both loving every minute of being pregnant with their first child.

Penelope was still working full time but was taking several breaks a day and eating several meals a day but she was still getting in her exercise when her and Marcie would do their daily walks. Marcie and Mark had moved from their previous home into a large home across the street from Derek and Penelope, a place that they loved, especially the part about being so close to Penelope and Derek.

Both nurseries were now completed, filled with baby supplies and clothes and now all that was missing was the babies, the closer time got for delivery the more anxious Penelope was getting. Today was the baby shower and both mothers=to-be were excited, they couldn't wait to enjoy themselves and spend time with their friends, not to mention they got to eat all of that yummy food and get more things for their babies.

The shower had gone amazingly well with both mommy's getting everything from booties to strollers so now they were both prepared for anything that was thrown at them, or so they hoped anyway. Penelope and Marcie were currently sitting outside on the patio, the party was over and the others were doing the clean up, Penelope and Marcie wanted to help them but they were told to go rest, so go rest they did, or at least they tried to.

While they were sitting outside Marcie winced in pain and Penelope said, "are you alright"? Marcie nodded her head and said, "yeah, the baby is just jumping on my bladder today that's all". Penelope said, "I can relate, my little one has been really active today too, he or she has been kicking me hard for the past few hours" causing Marcie to nod her head in agreement.

JJ walked outside to check on the two women and said, "how are you two feeling"?, they opened their mouths to say fine but winced in pain instead causing JJ to move in closer to make sure that they were alright. Penelope and Marcie grinned and Penelope said, "I'm owwwww okay Jayje" and JJ said, "people that are okay don't say owww Garcie", she then looked at Marcie as she once again winced in pain.

JJ said, "how long have the two of you been having these pains"?, the two women looked at each other and then looked down at their laps and said in unison, "all day" causing JJ to say, "ALL DAY, SERIOUSLY, WHY DIDN'T YOU TWO SAY ANYTHING"?, Marcie said, "we were having such a good time today besides their is nothing wrong other than the babies being active and kicking us hard today".

Fran and the others walked outside and Fran said, "what's all the yelling about, is something wrong"?, Penelope and Marcie said, "nothing's wrong" in unison while JJ said, "I think they are both in labor", Fran said, "waittttttt, did you say in labor, how long has this been going on"?, Penelope said, "all day but we're not in owwwwwwwww" Marcie said, "well maybe we are in owwwwww laborrrrrrrrr" as another pain hit her.

Emily said, "alright I'll call Mark and Derek and let them know to meet us at the hospital", JJ, Fran, Sarah and Desi were helping Penelope and Marcie get up when they heard dual, "ohhh nooooooo's" Sarah said, 'that didn't sound good, what's wrong"?, Penelope and Marcie looked down at the floor and Marcie said, "either we both peed on ourselves or our water just broke" and Fran said, "okay, let's get you two up and get you to the hospital because we don't want you having those babies here" and both women nodded their heads yes in agreement as they were pulled up out of their seats and ushered to the nearest car.
