Ch.27: Court Martial
The week had been fine. I had settled into a routine. Get up, go to school, then come home and get any homework done. That Friday, I was in gym, having just ended a conversation with Rainbow. The previous summer, her, and her friends (or the Magnificent Seven, as they were endearingly called by some) had gained powers via the magic at Camp Everfree. Thus, Rainbow's Flash-esque running ability.
As I walked back to the locker room, I felt a sudden weakness. I was suddenly very tired. Before I knew it, I was out.
Snips ran over. "David just fell!"
At hearing this, Coach Spitfire ran out of her office, clearing the area which was now surrounded by students. Aria was squatted beside me and looked up at her.
"He's unconscious. But still breathing."
Spitfire nodded and called an ambulance. She had no clue what had happened.
In Twilights mind, a certain demon would make her way over...
I awoke, stretching. I was surprised to feel warm sand below me. A gentle wind blew. Sitting up, I would notice a vast ocean before me, waves crashing against the shore. If I was unconscious, it certainly was not the worst thing to look at.
"You like it?" I suddenly heard a soft voice ask. Nervously, I turned my head, gasping.
Standing there, having stepped off the porch of a beautiful oceanfront cabin, was Midnight Sparkle. She wore a purple and white dress. She smiled, crossing over to me.
"W-what is this, Midnight? Am I on my way out?"
Midnight stepped up to me. She was TALL. I had to estimate ten feet, maybe a little taller. She grinned down at me. "Hi cutie" she grinned, before her face turned serious.
"Walk with me along the shore. I know you have something to say."
"Midnight, I have to ask. Are you from Hell?"
Midnight smiled, as we walked along. "Yes. Actually, I, the one behind the voice in your mind, and the Dazzling's all are."
"There's not a long game being played here, is there?" I asked frowning.
Midnight turned to me, squatting so she could look me in the eye.
"I was wrong, David. I falsely thought that taking over both worlds was right. I was wrong. Being in Twilight's mind gave me that understanding. Yes, Twilight's friends really don't like me. If I have to walk to the end of time to gain their trust, I will."
Searching for any deceit in her eyes, I found none. I closed my eyes. There was a time to let go. This was not to say I and Midnight would suddenly go swimming or dance in the moonlight. My fear... I needed to let go.
"Okay Midnight, I trust you."
Midnight straightened up, trying hard to keep her composure. After a moment, we continued our walk.
"So, are we in your mind Midnight?"
Midnight nodded. "I put myself to sleep so we could speak. I will say you are not unconscious because of health reasons. Aria did it to you on purpose. Recall when she kissed you earlier?"
I thought back, my eyes widening.
"I remember. But why though? Was it so we could finally talk?"
Midnight nodded, squeezing my hand. Yes, even in my unconsciousness, it hurt a bit. "Yes. In order for this to all move forward, we had to."
"By the way, keep an eye out David. Someone will soon draw your romantic interest, and Aria and you will be accommodating."
I smiled, okay with the idea if Aria was.
"Also" she grinned. "Do you know what vore is?"
I nodded, having come across some YouTube videos. "I do. Why do you ask?"
Midnight explained that people in Pandestria had the ability. Now that she had mentioned it, Pinkie's belly had seemed big earlier.
"I hope it's harmless?" I finally asked.
She nodded. "It is. Even if someone wished to digest, some sort of good magic prohibits it."
I nodded, suddenly getting a vision of Principal Celestia eating a bad student and laughing. Joining in, it took time for Midnight and me to recover.
Midnight sighed. "You have to go now. But if you ever want to chat again, just ask Aria. She can help."
I nodded, waving goodbye as I once again regained consciousness.
"Oh dear, is he waking?"
"Yes, he is, Fluttershy. Handsome too."
"If you don't see him again soon, are you gonna die?"
"Oh, shut it, Adagio!"
I heard the combination of voices as I awoke. I was in the hospital, attached to an IV. Aria, Adagio, Fluttershy and Pinkie were crowded around me. They were all relieved. Aria hugged me tightly, sharing a kiss.
"So, are things well with Midnight?" Pinkie asked. They all smiled as I affirmed that statement.
The door then opened. "So, we meet again" Doctor Quill smiled. "You'll be able to go home soon."
The next week came another piece to the mysterious puzzle in my book.
