On the fishing boat Jetfly, Korra and Killa are on board the ship being taken to Mother Base where Korra will be meeting with the leader of the strange soldiers. The truck has been left in the warehouse of the port that the soldiers use, for safe keeping. Now they're just waiting to get to the base, that's rises out of the sea.
Korra has kept her eyes open and spotted some strange machines here and there but they not that strange from what she's use to seeing. She and Killa are only being allowed on the deck of the ship as the crew members operated the ship. They spoke a language that she had never heard before and didn't speak the common language that she's uses very well. From what she learned back at the port town the soldiers spoke poorly with only some being able to speak the common language well. (1)
"So what do we do once we get there?" Killa ask.
"I need to learn all that, I can about them. How they came to our world and their strange technology," Korra said.
"I never seen people like them before. Pale skin and red hair, I can't say it isn't exotic. What you think of the red hair woman?" Killa ask.
"Stop that. I don't need to make things harder for me by hitting on her or the other women when we get there," Korra said to her lover.
"Why jealous?" Killa asked.
"No, it just be making my job harder," Korra said.
"Don't worry, you can join in," Killa said.
"Stop that," Korra said.
"Why? Might just like having two mouths on your breasts or a third on your cunt at the same time?" Killa teased.
"No it's just that these people might take it badly, this is a different culture after all," Korra said.
"Good point," Killa said. "So anyone back home you would like to have a threesome with?"
"What?" Korra gasp.
"I wouldn't mind being apart of a group relationship, especially if she's cute," Killa said smiling at Korra who blushes.
"No… I only been… with you," Korra said who can't help but think of Asami.
"Well, if you're up for it, I'm in for adding someone to our thing," Killa said.
"O….k," Korra mutters.
Korra spotted something on the horizon that grew larger as the ship sailed closer. She has seen platforms raising from the sea before, a combination of earth and water benders can create a pillar of earth to raise from the sea floor to the surface. But this building was created in a world where there was no bending at all. Mother Base where the strange soldiers call home, something from another world.
"You can do this," Killa said seeing the nervous look on Korra's face.
"I know, I can," Korra said as she would be meeting with the leader of the soldiers and learn more about the world they came from.

Elsewhere -
In the ice cave where the giant of a woman and powerful firebender P'Li's prison cell has been built to keep her from using her fire bending. After showing signs of being a combustionbender during her youth, P'Li was kidnapped by a warlord, who trained her to be his personal assassin. She was freed by Zaheer several years later, and the two fell in love, eventually joining the Red Lotus in their search for a life free from oppressive leaders and governments. P'Li is fiercely loyal to Zaheer and his cause to eliminate nations and world leaders in order to instigate an era of chaos and freedom.
P'Li being a combustionbender, is capable of producing a concentrated, destructive beams of heat from her forehead which, upon impact, could cause a powerful explosion that would demolish most targets. She is able to use the technique with relative ease, firing several beams in succession to subdue multiple opponents and hitting targets at great distances with considerable accuracy. She is also the only known user of the technique capable of curving her blasts, enabling her to effectively strike from various angles and directions. However, despite P'Li's precision, a single strike to her forehead would temporarily disrupt her ability to focus her chi and properly fire a combustion beam.
P'Li is breathing out cold air, she's been listening to the guards talking to each other. Something was happening and it was making them all be on edge. They are careful not to talk about it near her but she heard enough to know that something big was happening.
On the surface, where Tonraq, Desna, and Eska are standing outside P'Li's prison waiting for Lord Zuko and Druk's return. Druk lands on the ground heavily.
"Did you see Zaheer?" Tonraq ask Zuko.
"The only thing I saw was a snowstorm heading our way," Zuko said.
Tonraq stares at the snowstorm coming towards them. "That's not a snowstorm. That's him."
Tonraq and the group begins running toward the snowstorm Zaheer created to cover his snowcat. Zaheer continuously airbends to provide his group with some cover. The snowcat jumps out and Zaheer and Ming-Hua jumps off the snowcat afterward, running toward Tonraq's group.
"I put you away once, Zaheer, and I'm going to do it again!" Tonraq shouted.
Tonraq waterbends a punch and an ice block at Zaheer, who dodges both attacks. Tonraq attacks Zaheer again, and he manages to dodge it again before sweeping Tonraq over. Desna and Eska begin attacking Ming-Hua with multiple ice shards at a rapid pace, which Ming-Hua dodges. The twins create a field of iceberg spikes, but Ming-Hua maneuvers through them with her water arms before she freezes the pair in ice blocks. She jumps up and breaks the ice on the ground with her waterbending before she glides down to P'Li's cell.
A White Lotus sentry firebends at Ming-Hua, but she counters back, defeating him with little trouble. Another sentry attempts to waterbend at Ming-Hua, but she quickly strikes him. She freezes P'Li's prison cell's door, causing it to fall off of its hinges.
"Ming-Hua?" P'Li ask seeing her old teammate.
"Let's get you out of here," Ming-Hua said.
Ming-Hua waterbends the metal chains which restrains P'Li. P'Li stands up, removing the cuff on her forehead, revealing her "third eye" tattoo. She clings onto Ming-Hua's back, who uses two ice axes to climb P'Li and herself up to the surface.
"We could have just taken the elevator," P'Li said to Ming-Hua who continues to climb in silence. "Show-off."
After the two of them reach the surface, Druk breaths fire at them. P'Li redirects the fire.
"I've waited thirteen years to feel this warm," P'Li said.
P'Li easily tames the fire before using her combustion ability to blast the dragon away.
Lord Zuko is dodging a rock from Ghazan and retaliating with his firebending, before dodging again for another strike. Ghazan deflects Lord Zuko's blast before using a rock to strike Lord Zuko down. Tonraq tries to attack Zaheer, but the airbender continues dodging the blows. The fight ends with P'Li using her combustion on Tonraq.
The criminals make their escape; Lord Zuko staring at their snowcat as it departs. Knowing that this is just the start of things to come.

1 - Most of the soldiers of Mother Base are still learning the local language and like in the real world different regions would have different ways of speaking the same language.
