Authors note: I will not be able to give out a chapter tomorrow because I will have visitors these two coming days. But I will try to give one out on Sunday at least. And now, on with the show.

Chapter 21 Friends, Fighting and sorrow.

Tom riddle? Who is Tom riddle?" Asked Jakob, confused.

Hermione frowned and lowered her gaze like she did not really know what to say.

" Um, He is... Tom is a student that has talked to me for a while... he is in this book."

Hermione then looked at her book and slowly walked forward, picking up the book from her bag.

Granger walked over to Jakob and showed him the book. The Slytherin boy looked down at her hands and then reached out his hand and grabbed it from her. He felt some resistance in her grip and almost had to pull it from her hands. Jakob observed the book closer. It was a diary with the name Tom Marvolo Riddle on the back in gold letters.

" Tom Riddle."

Jakob felt something with the book. Like someone was observing him. Measuring him. The Black Haired boy opened it and frowned as he flipped the blank pages. He looked back at Hermione, gesturing at the book in question.

"You said he was in this book?"

The girl looked like she was still affected and ignored Jakob's question. The Slytherin looked a bit worried at his friend. Seeing her acting like this, he pocketed the book in his bag.

" Hermione, I want you to return to your common room and write on your card. Tell me then how you feel, alright?"

Granger nodded and gave him a confused but happy hug before she left the room in silence.

The Slytherin boy sat down in his chair and took up the book again, laying it before him and opening it to the first page.

Black ink was slowly starting to form a sentence, and Jakob leaned in, surprised and read.

Hello, What's your name? My name is Tom Riddle.

" Nope!" Jakob stated as he slammed the book shut. Jake then put the diary in his bag, picked out the card he always had with him, and held it firmly as he stood from his chair.

I have read enough books to know that when someone sentient starts talking to you and making you behave like Hermione, it's something bad. Jakob thought while he walked out of his classroom with hurried steps.

The Grand staircase only showed a few other students that Jakob did not know well enough to greet, which was a good thing because he was on a mission.

On his way down, he saw that the card he held in his left hand showed a gold texture.

Feeling much better. Thanks. Don't know what got into me.

"Good, then I know definitely that the book is manipulating the mind."

Jakob was now almost jogging as he walked out from the Hogwarts gates and headed straight into the forbidden forest.

When the forest trees covered him from the sight of the castle, Jakob took out the book and laid it down on a boulder and pointed his wand at it.

" Incendio."

The fire consumed the book, and Jakob was about to smirk in victory, but then he saw something that made him frown.

The spell had done nothing to the book, and the flames disappeared, showing the diary in perfect condition.

"Diffindo." The spell did nothing.

The Slytherin looked around before trying more darker curses, but nothing made even a scratch.

"I see you are hard to crack. But If I can't destroy you, I will just have to bury you instead."

Jake picked up the book and then looked over to the lake showing it to the diary.

"This is going to be your new home. You are going to be just fine there."

The boy stopped, put some rocks over the book, and pointed his wand at it.

" Incarcerous." The book was covered in a rope. Jakob walked over to the calm lake, almost dipping his shoes in the cold water.

Just as he was about to throw it, he stopped and looked at it again.

" If someone finds you and opens you up, you can reveal my secrets. Maybe I should..."

Jakob shook his head and laughed.

" You already try to charm me? I'm flattered." He threw it into the lake and watched it slowly sink.

He clapped his hands and walked back to the castle. When he entered the gate, he did not turn around. If he had, he would have seen someone flying over the lake and jumping into the like in a perfect dive.

When he returned to his common room And sat down with a long sigh of relief while Draco, Pansy, Blaze, Theo, and Daphne talked about something he did not really care about.

The entrance door opened, and Jakob saw Vince, Gregg, and Tracy walk in, looking like they were uncomfortable.

Jakob, who was almost lying in his armchair, turned his head over to them and frowned. Since when did they walk together?

The three Slytherins saw the other group and awkwardly sat on the couch opposite Draco and beside the armchair that Jake was currently resting in.

Jakob frowned at them.

"Where have you all been?" asked Jakob, looking at Tracey in confusion.

" Me and Crabbe have been out trying to bully some first years, and I don't know about her." Said Goly in a lowered voice to Jakob.

"Crabbe, what?..." The Quade heir realised something and looked over at Tracey.

"Miss Davis did you see That potter girl eat today? Did she not look like that Weasley?"

Both Davis and Crabbe gave him a Glare while the others were laughing. Goyle tried discreetly to make them stop, but Jakob had already seen through their facade.

Goyle cleared his throat.

"So Draco, do you know who opened the chamber?"

The blonde frowned as Goyle disturbed his talk with Blaze.

"I don't know. I told you yesterday."

"Hey, guys, do you want to know something I saw while walking around the castle before Christmas break?" Said Jakob and got everyone's attention. Three of them looked more interested than the rest.

"I saw something really weird. I was walking into one of the bathrooms because... you know, and I saw someone brewing a potion there."

Davis, Goyle and Crabbe leaned back and glanced at each other."

"What was the potion?" Questioned Daphne looking like she tried to be interested in what Jakob was talking about.

Jakob looked at the three Fake Slytherins and smirked.

"I don't know, but if I had to guess, I would think that someone was brewing a Polyjouce potion.

Jakob saw that they had been found out and was standing up slowly.

"where are you going?" Frowned Blaze.

"Um... we had something bad to eat, I think," said Crabbe pulling Goyle away.

Tracey, who stood there looking at them with wide eyes, saw Crabbe pulling the boy beside him, giving Tracey a look that said make something up.

The boys exited the common room leaving the girl behind, standing there frozen.

"Hey, Tracey, I need to talk with you about that thing."

Jakob got up and walked over to her grabbing her arm.

"What thing?" Asked Daphne, looking a bit jealous.

"It's a secret," said Jakob, giving the blonde a wink and leaving the common room with the fake Slytherin.

When outside, Jakob took her arm, turned, walked deeper into the dungeons and pushed her to the wall.

"Ouch!"

" Really thought that little plan would run smoothly, Ivy?"

Tracey glared at him.

"You don't have to be so rude, and how did you know it was us?"

Jakob rolled his eyes.

"Do some research on those you are going to portray."

"Why did you help me? Why not leave me to your Slytherin friends? I'm sure they would have a great laugh at me, " questioned Tracey, who started to morph back into the redhead. Jakob watched her brown hair turn red and longer. Small freckles began popping up, and her eyes turned brown to green.

"Because they would laugh, and then you would be cursed and left out here, probably naked and paralysed, for anyone to enjoy. And as I got you three out of trouble, you will get me out if I ever need it. You can tell your deserters that."

Ivy, who had looked shocked at first hearing that horrible plan, knew that he was not kidding and turned her face to the side, nodding.

" I know that you keep your word, Ivy, but if your brother or that idiot Weasley breaks that promise. They will find themself in a very uncomfortable situation."

Ivy turned back, glaring at him.

"Oh, common, don't be like that. It isn't my fault that you got yourself into trouble and now own a debt. now get."

Jakob, who had still had her arm in a tight grip, pushed her to the side, and with a final glare, she ran away.

"So stupid." He sighed as he walked back to the common room.

There were no more attacks, and Jakob focused on everything that was school.

He and Amy continued their little dance of who was prey, the activity club was still a hit, and everything felt like it was going great for a moment.

Jakob sat beside Draco reading a book in the Great hall when Lockhart stood up and addressed everyone that had just finished lunch.

" Today is valentine's day! And I have prepared something amusing for you all." he clapped his hands, and Jakob saw dwarfs dressed up like Cupid walking in, starting to sing and dance.

" What the…"

" These cupids will be here for the remainder of the day, and if you give them a card and whisper the person you love, they will give it to them or might even sing it if you are lucky."

That afternoon Jakob got a lot of cards. Apparently, he had become quite popular after the success with the activity club. A cupid seemed to find him to deliver a message wherever he went.

One had even barged in and tried to sing for him when they had potion class with snape. Jakob had " accidentally" dropped his unfinished potion on the now-wailing Cupid. People were screaming, seeing the pained, partly melted face of the midget. Snape had ordered Weasley and Potter to take Cupid to the hospital wing, and the two boys tried not to throw up while carrying the poor wreck.

Snape did not take away any points for this action and continued class as usual.

That evening, Jakob sat in the common room with his blonde best friend. He looked over at the door where two Slytherins stood, guarding it against the cupids who were sneaking in with the returning students.

Draco, who had gotten only two letters, did not look jealous at Jakob for once. He wore a slight smile that the black-haired boy never had seen before.

" Who were your letters from? Asked Jakob as they sat alone on the sofa."

" Well, one was obviously from Pansy, but I can't really say who the other was from."

Jakob looked very interested.

" I'm your best friend. Tell me now, or your father will hear about this," said Jakob quickly.

Draco, who knew he was lying, rolled his eyes.

" I can't say yet, alright. I'm not sure if there is something there right now, but when I do. You will be the first to know, I promise."

Jakob saw that Draco would not budge on this, nodded and gave his friend a slight smile.

" You know that Pansy cares for you, right?"

Draco dragged a hand through his hair.

"I don't know why she keeps insisting. I will talk to her about it. It's just other things on my mind, you understand, right?"

"I understand that you are stalling, not being able to choose. You are my best friend, and I won't tell her but mate... you got to talk to her. she deserves better."

Draco sighed and nodded. He was about to say something when another voice spoke first.

" Mr Quade, I need a word. Now." Jakob turned and saw Amy walking inside the Slytherin five-room. What he had considered was a tone in her voice, he confirmed as everyone stared at him.

" What did you do to the queen?" asked Draco s bit nervous.

" Nothing?" said Jakob frowning, and stood up. As he walked towards the door, he noticed people observing him. This is not being discrete, Jakob thought while he opened the door and closed it behind it. He took out his wand and silenced it as he saw that they were alone there.

" Amy, what happened?"

Amy snorted, crossing her arms.

" You seem to be quite popular today. My sources tell me that the cupids have been singing nonstop to you."

Jakob took a step forward, giving her a confused smile.

" Amy, are you serious? I have been waiting for one letter, and you have not given it to me."

What he thought would be a good sentence was not doing anything to her.

" So, are you tasting someone else? Maybe your queen should allow that slut, Greengrass-"

" Don't talk about her like that," stated Jakob glaring at Amy.

" Oh? So it is her, Maybe I owe that little bitch a visit, or maybe you have more? That Parkinson girl? I see the way she glances at you. Maybe I should put that little shit in her place," said Amy with that feral smile looking at the door while taking out her wand.

Jakob flicked out his.

Amy glanced at his wand and then switched to his eyes in betrayal.

" Amy, you will never talk to my friends like that again, and you told me to keep this a secret. If you can't handle it, maybe we should not continue this. Can you see how you are behaving right now?"

" See how i am beahving? You are talking about treason to your queen!"

Jakob tried to step closer to her but was stopped as Amy gestured that he stood close enough with her wand.

" Betraying my Queen? I'm not talking to my queen right now. I'm talking to you. Amy, stop this right now. Don't do anything that you won't be able to atone for.

" Like you have? You think I will forgive you after this?"

"I have done nothing that you have any claims to forgive," answered Jakob, and he saw something in Amy's break. Jakob knew Amy had her bad sides, but this was nothing he would tolerate.

"You are mine!" hissed Amy.

" My life is my own! ." Roared Jakob. There was silence for a few seconds. Both held their raised wands at each other.

She laughed. Jakob felt the laugh being fake and still was prepared for something to happen.

"Do you really think I care about you so much that I would let people know about us? You are a toy, nothing more."

Jakob, who now glared back in hatred for a second, smirked at her.

"Maybe you don't care about me he said, lowering his wand. But now I at least see the real you.

"Tell me, what do you see?" said Amy, tightening her wand grip."

"You are one ugly bitch."

Amy burst out in rage and screamed as her wand shot a spell towards him. It hit him right in the chest, and he flew back, slamming the door and fell down on the floor, feeling something sticky and warm running down the back of his head. He got up on one knee, touched the wound, and looked at his finger, which had turned red.

Amy rushed forwards to Jakob and tried to help him up.

On his knees, he grabbed her robes, stood up and pushed her against the wall. Amy saw something in his eyes that she had never witnessed before.

The rage that he was showing made the older girl fear Jakob for the first time, and at the same time, she felt a lust creeping up inside her seeing him looking at her like that.

"You dare strike at me?" He hissed almost in parseltongue.

"Jake, I'm sorry i..."

Jakob pulled her towards himself but stepped aside, letting her fall to the floor.

"We are over. If you try to do anything to my friends, you will wish I ended you here."

"Jakob, please..."

Jakob opened the door and slammed it shut, leaving a crying girl alone in the dark room.

"Mate, what's going on?" Draco saw his friend storm out of the room, and Draco, who had known Jakob for his entire life, did not recognise this boy in front of him.

"We are going to be late come."

The angry boy did not even see if Draco followed him and walked out of the common room, with Draco almost running behind him with a worried face.

They walked up the stairs to the library in silence, and Draco saw his friend's eyes get a little bit calmer as they walked further.

" Draco, when we enter the library, don't talk about this. I just want to forget the whole thing, alright?"

"You haven't told me anything, so what is it you think I'm gonna say?" asked Draco, confused.

"Jakob gave him a slightly apologetic smile.

"Sorry mate, but this one is something I can't tell anyone."

Draco nodded, having his guesses but not speaking them loudly.

They walked inside and started their homework with Pansy, Theo and Daphne.

The homework was relatively easy, and Jakob, who finished before his friends currently, sat with Daphne and guided her through the more complicated task of getting an O on the paper.

" No, that's not right. You put the rat tails in after."

Why won't you listen? Jakob tells him."

Jakob looked up from Daphne's paper and over to one Pansy sitting beside Draco, trying to get him to change his answer. In contrast, the blonde tried to hide his annoyance at the girl while still scribbling.

" Draco, she is right," answered Jakob with a tired sigh and turned back to Daphne's paper.

Draco slammed his fist into the table.

" Why are you always taking her side?"

Jakob turned his head with a raised eyebrow.

" Alright then, tell me, when you have cooked the potion for one minute, do you out in the rat tails or do you raise the temperature?"

Draco looked frustrated down at his paper.

" you raise the bloody temperature!"

Theo, who sat beside Draco, tried to calm him down, but Draco was Too busy glaring at Jakob, who looked unamused back at his best friend."

" Daphne turns to page 212 and gives us the answer," said Jakob, still staring at Draco.

Daphne looked surprised at seeing Draco behaving this way against Jakob and snapped back when she got the order. She took out her book and started to read the page.

" Jakob is true," said Daphne and Draco got up, knocking his chair backwards as he did and stormed out.

Theo got up to follow but was stopped by Jakob, who raised his hand a little, signalling that he would take this one. He stood up and followed his best friend.

He walked out of the library and saw that Draco stood by a window and had opened it, letting the cold air calm his mind.

" Draco, you know what going on with you right now, right?" asked Jakob, gently standing beside his friend and looking out.

" I know. Father told me. I'm sorry, Jakob, it's just a bit hard controlling it when I get irritated."

Jakob put a hand on his friend's shoulder.

" I know, mate. I have had this struggle since we started school."

Draco frowned.

" Why haven't I seen you get mad or something?"

" I have been mad and screaming, but I have other types of problems."

" Like what?" said Draco, interested.

Jakob looked around and said in a lower voice.

" I have problems controlling myself around… girls.. that I'm into, of course."

Draco's eyebrows rose.

" Really, like who? Is it with Pansy?"

" No, not with Pansy. And I can't really tell. It's a secret. But you know, feeling their warmth. Kissing them."

" Kissing them?!" questioned Draco, surprised, and Jakob had to hush him and looked around to see that no one was listening."

" So you don't have those problems at all with girls?" Jakob asked while looking at the blonde who looked back out through the window.

" No, but I can understand what you mean. But I have felt this rage inside me all holiday, and I don't know what to do, Jake."

Jakob smirked.

"I know what I usually do when I get angry."

Draco turned to his friend in hopefulness.

" Go into a room and make sure you put up a silencing charm and let loose the most powerful spells you can. You will feel like a baby afterwards."

" You think that will work?"

Jakob nodded.

" Positiv."

"Thanks, Mate, and you know that what I said inside it-"

"Don't worry about I know. Let's just go inside, continue where we left off, and try not to curse me."

The blonde Chuckled together. They walked back inside, and everyone pretended nothing had happened.

After a few hours, the Slytherin students started to pack their things. Jakob soon sat alone in the end, gathering the last books he needed to return to the bookshelves.

He took his time trying to stall the inevitable meeting with his queen. He knew she was going to want to talk to him after she had calmed down, but the way she had spoken to him was. Like he was beneath her was unacceptable. He already had two people in his family that did that, and he was counting the days until he could leave them to create his own history.

When all the books were in their places, Jakob gathered up his thing and put the Quill in his inner pocket. The black-haired boy walked slowly out of the library and down the grand staircase. He noticed someone with red hair walking behind him, and he really did not have time for Ivy right now, so he ignored her and kept going.

The Slytherin walked into the third Corridor and took a hidden tunnel that he had discovered that took him back to the Dungeons.

As he looked around, he saw that the coast was clear and walked inside to his common room.

Inside, he sat down on a chair with Pansy and Millicent, who was playing magic chess.

"I didn't know you liked chess?" Asked Jakob both the girls who were trying to focus.

"We don't. We don't just don't have anything else to do. Knight to d five." Answered Pansy as she smiled as her knight destroyed one of Millicent's pawns.

Jakob looked impressed.

"You have magic, a castle, and unlimited activity. How can you be bored?"

The two girls ignored Jakob while continuing plating.

"Millicent is going to win in three moves, just so you know." Stated the Slytherin boy, who got shooed away by both girls threatening to jinx him. Jake chuckled while he got up and turned to walk into his dorm.

"Mr Quade, you are summoned." Said Marcus walking up to the second-year boy, and Jakob nodded, sighing inwards.

Both boys walked inside to the Slytherin five-room, where the whole group was gathered.

Jakob did not meet Amy's eyes while he sat down on his chair and listened to what Marcus had to say.

The boy stood and addressed the group.

" I'm sorry for arranging this meeting, but I need to talk to you about something that cannot leave this room yet."

Everyone looked at the usual bored Slytherin captain, who looked grimly at all of them.

" This evening, I received intel that some of the Slytherins have experienced some type of mind tampering. They are of different ages, but I can confirm that their minds have been altered. I checked some of the girls but could not find anything, so my guess is that someone is targeting the boys in our house."

Amy looked up, a bit interested in the news.

"Tell me, Flint, how can you be so certain about this?" she questioned him.

" Adrian... I mean, Pucey started to act weird yesterday. He came into our dorm, and I knew something had happened. I talked to him about it, and there was a gap in his memory for about two hours. He could not recall anything. I then started to look into it, worried that more of us had been exposed to the same thing and checked with some of my friends. Only males have been targeted. There are about 4 people in our house that I can certainly say has the same gap in their memory and can't remember anything, my queen."

Amy looked around the table ending at Jakob.

" Miss Rosier, What do you think we should do?"

The girl thought for a moment and then answered.

"This is the Weasley twins doing. We have been trying to get a hold of them, but every time we get close, they have found a way to disappear. This might be retaliation from either them or the whole of Gryffindor.

Jakob rolled his eyes.

"My queen, if I may?" Said Jakob looking at Amy, who did not return his glance.

"No, you may not. Rosier, please continue."

Jakob looked to the girl, who was surprised that she was being asked to continue after her queen's pet had been trying to take over.

"We should retaliate. Give those Gryffindor's a taste of their own medicine."

Flint and Vanity glanced at each other. Knowing that Rosier was good to have to plan the different defence and attack strategies, they both felt this was not right.

Jakob looked over to both Marcus and Abby for them to speak up, but when they turned away, Jakob sighed. Cowards.

" My queen, this is clearly something else. You should talk with the other houses and tell them to look into this with their own students and see if they have the same experience as us. this could-"

"You will speak when spoken to!" Amy got up from her chair and glared at Jakob, who glared back at the girl.

"You are dismissed, Quade."

Jakob frowned.

"What?"

"You are dismissed. You can leave this room now. If I need your opinion on this matter, I will seek you out."

Jakob, now furious, stood up from his chair, taking a step closer to his queen.

" Take one step closer, Quade." Threatened Rosier, who had her wand pointed at him. Both Flint and Vanity were standing up to, having drawn their wand but looking conflicted at pointing at the boy they knew was right on this matter.

Jakob looked around the room and then turned back to his queen.

"So this is how it's going to be?"

Amy gave him a smirk, but it did not look like it used to. He saw a hurt look in her eyes, and Jakob took a step back.

" Continue your unprovoked attack without me. Slytherin stands for ambition and cunning, and I see none of it here."

He walked outside, ignoring Amy's call for him.

The whole Slytherin room was staring at him right now, and Jakob wanted to curse everyone sitting there. They blindly followed leader after leader, thinking that the title was the thing that mattered. They had never stood up like he had done. Fought and made sacrifices like he had done. He had done everything right to rise in the ranks, and what had it gotten him? Being a lapdog to a girl who did not give a shit about him.

"Sheep. all of you," growled Jakob furiously as he stormed out from the entrance hall.

Jakob walked within the Dark dungeons with a quick step towards the grand staircase.

" Mr Quade, I have been expecting to see you. I was almost thinking about entering my common room to get you myself."

Jakob turned around to see Ginny standing in front of him with a torch lighting up her eyes that glowed red. The boy flicked out his wand.

" What are you..."

With a fast hand, Jakob had no time to finish his sentence as Ginny raised her wand and cast a stunning spell on him, knocking him to the ground. The last thing Jakob could think of before everything darkened was that He had been ambushed again in the dungeons.

When he found consciousness again, he could hear water dropping and knew he had listened to the echo before.

He felt something slithering around his chest, and the boy opened his eyes and saw a cave ceiling.

Jake Turned his head slowly to the right and saw the snake heads that led up to the entrance gate that was slightly opened.

His head still spinning, he turned his head to the left. The stone statue of Slytherin was closer than he had seen before, and a few meters away from him lay a girl with Gryffindor Clothes unconscious.

Jakob sat up and shook his head, trying to get that nauseating spinning to go away. He stood up, waddled to the side, and walked over to the redhead Weasley girl. She looked pale, and her breathing was weak.

The Slytherin boy walked closer and bent down, feeling her forehead, and it was almost as cold as the stone floor he was standing on.

"This is not good." Whispered Jakob as he observed the girl's face closer.

When Jakob tried flicking his wrist to send out his wand, he noticed that it was not there.

"She won't wake." Jake turned around to see an older transparent boy looking at him and then turning his eyes down to The younger boy's wand that he held in his hands, almost like he were cleaning his nails with it.

"Give back my wand before I rip you and everything you love apart."

The older boy chuckled and then threw Jakob's wand back to him.

I can see that your wand is a special one. I don't recognise the core or the wood, and it won't work when I try to use it. How are you even awake right now? You should be stunned for a bit longer so I can enjoy my time torturing you for the insolence you showed me."

Jakob smirked.

"You don't need to know anything about my wand, and what can I say? I won't stay down for long. What is your name?"

The boy who glared at how Jakob was talking to him smirked at the last question he had asked.

"I have many names. But you would recognise me best by the first name I owned. It's Tom Riddle."

Jakob raised his wand.

"I only need one name to know that you will die today."

Jakob sent a blood-boiling curse straight at the older boy, who did not even move, and it passed right through him.

"So much hate and anger. You remind me much of myself at that age. But unlike you, I did not have the luxuries that you do. I had to build my own success.

Jakob snorted.

"Succes? This is the first time I have heard your last name. Riddle? Sounds like a mudblood to me."

"I'm not a mudblood!" Yelled Tom losing his composure for a second, and dragged his hand over the side of his hair to calm himself down.

"Touched a sensitive spot there, did I?" Smirked Jakob.

Tom took out what Jakob believed was Ghinnys wand and smirked.

"You think you are clever and strong, Mr Quade, but you will soon know why you should fear me."

Riddle turned, started to write his name in the air, and then switched around the letters that now showed.

I am lord Voldemort.

" Wait, you are Lord Voldemort? the one who fights for blood purity? Do your friends know about your little secret?"

Tom looked a little surprised that Jakob had not even flinched at the information he had given him.

" Personally, I don't agree with your ideology. I think you just wanted power for yourself and, in that process, only succeeded in dividing the wizarding world. But there was one who is greater than you."

The older boy, now interested in what Jakob said, gestured for him to continue his little rant. Time was what he was fighting for anyway.

" Gellert Grindelwald had the right idea and fought for what was right."

Tom laughed.

"Please, that old man is sitting in Azkaban right now because of Dumbledore."

" You should not be so quick about talking about his demise Tom. If memory serves me right, you were defeated by a baby."

Jakob laughed, and Tom, Who had been glaring at the answer, roared and shot a spell towards the little shit who had insulted him.

Jakob jumped to the left and rolled to Ginny and was about to search her for the book.

"You won't be able to wake her," smirked Tom

Jakob turned back to the smirking older boy and gave his charming smile.

"I know that you are probably a Horrocrux and the book is your vessel."

Tom looked shocked, and when Jakob turned to open her robes, He Heard Tom say.

"Speak to me, Slytherin, greatest of the Hogwarts four."

Jakob stopped what he was doing and took a few steps back, seeing the mouth of the statue open and hearing a growling hiss inside it.

"Let me rip it, let me tear it. Let me devour it."

Tom looked a bit confused at the opening.

"You sound different?" questioned Tom, the now protruding snout of the basilisk.

" Close your eyes!" Hissed Jakob and the Basilisk obayed. Tom looked at the younger boy in stunned surprise as Jakob smirked back, looking at Tom.

" It was not your snake who talked, Tom."

He could feel Saliza contorting around him. Jake turned his gaze on the basilisk, who now had slithered out standing tall, waiting for a command with her eyes closed. He then raised his arm palm forward, aiming at the throat of the mighty beast.

"It was mine."

Saliza then flew out from Jakob. And opened her mouth, showing her unfolded black fangs. Jakob watched in amazement how Saliza exploded in dark smoke, and the basilisk roared in pain.

After a few seconds, the dark smoke disappeared, and Saliza changed into a young black dragon.

She had folded black wings on her back and black claws that dug deep into the basilisk while her jaw had a firm grip on the basilisk's throat.

"No!" Screamed Tom, and Jakob looked stunned as the basilisk tried to shake her off. Still, Saliza, who was dug into the flesh, was not removable, and blood was gushing out from the wounds on the king of serpents.

Saliza then Roared, closed her jaw, and a crunch echoed. She ripped off half of the giant snake's flesh. She gulped it down before taking another bite, decapitating the basilisk who fell down on the floor and continued to twitch. At the same time, Saliza fed on its corpse.

"This form won't hold forever. Kill him now!" She hissed, and Jakob turned back to Tom. A yet of sickly green light was flying towards him, and he had to jump out of the way.

The older boy roared as spell after spell was hurdling towards Jakob, who had to be on the defensive.

He is strong. Being able to cast all those spells would have tired me out long ago. Thought the rolling Slytherin and got on one knee, sending a yet of blue light of his own that the older boy's red spell collided with, and a power struggle began.

The blue light was struggling, and Jakob could feel Tom's power taking over, draining him simultaneously.

Jakob broke the connection and ran towards Ginny, but Tom was prepared and sent him the killing curse. Just as it was about to hit him, some invisible force yanked him back, and the younger Slytherin flew a couple of meters back and gasped as his air was knocked out of him.

"Get out of here, Jakob. Run!"

Jakob saw Amy walking with furious steps towards Tom and sent him spells that Jakob had never even heard of.

" You will die screaming for aiming your wand at my Jakob."

She waved her wand and said an incantation, which made a sickly yellow spell soar towards Tom, who dodged it and cast a few of his own, making Amy put up a shield as a defence.

Jakob looked on as She showed him what the new queen of Slytherin was capable of, and Jakob would honestly say that he would have a hard time beating her, if ever.

She rolled to the side, conjuring four swords and sent them at Tom, who stopped them, making them change into snakes who then turned and attacked. They never came far as Amy waved her wand in a circular motion, and the floor rose up and caught them, crushing them in the prosses.

"Amy, stop. You can't win against him. He is not real!" Jakob yelled, but the girl was consumed by rage and hate.

She raised her wand, and the floor pieces rose and then, with a jab, sent them towards Tom, who stopped them. Still, Amy was quicker and sent another sickly yellow jet of light that burned through the rocks and flew right through the surprised Tom, who now glared at the girl.

"You are strong, I won't argue against that, but it's time for me to end this," stated Tom and sent Amy spell after spell. The girl dodged but could not move fast enough and had to put up a shield that was flickering after the third spell had collided with it.

Jakob, who had got up, rushed forwards to save Amy, who was now having trouble keeping the shield up, and when the last spell collided, it shimmered away.

"Amy!" screamed Jakob, and he saw the smirk on Tom's face as he sent her a red stream of light.

Amy looked at Jakob in worry, and Jake, who was only a few meters away, saw the light collide with her chest, and her hands went limp to the side, dropping her wand.

She coughed up blood and fell to her knees, and just as she was tipping backwards, Jakob caught her in his arms.

"No, no, no, no. Please, Amy, why did you not run?"

Amy, who was in his embrace, smiled and tried to not show pain as she looked him in the eyes.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry," she whispered. Blood kept dripping from her mouth and eyes like she was crying."

"Don't say that we are fine. Please don't leave me like this, " whispered Jakob, his vision blurring as tears began forming and running down his cheek.

" I was wrong, I know. I just... was afraid to lose you."

Jakob nodded.

" You won't lose me, alright. We will go back to usual and laugh and kiss. We will go back to my mansion, and you will be knocking at my door in the night." said Jakob pleadingly as he saw the smile on her face for a moment switch from a smile to pain."

"Jakob... I'm scared... please... kiss..."

Jakob leaned in and kissed her, trying to keep in his crying, feeling her cold, wet lips pressing faintly back one last time. Her hand, which had been touching his cheek, dropped. Jakob leaned back and saw that Amy had closed her eyes. he looked at her dark curly hair and bloodred lips, which were almost smiling. He looked at her nose and eyebrows that he would kiss when he sensed her being in a bad mood. Her cheeks that would tell him what she really felt. She looked like she was sleeping in his arms, at peace. But Jakob did not sense her breathing.

"Amy?"

"Amy!"
