"Fireball Island!" Chucky repeated.

"Yes! This game is the best!" Andy was so excited to play it and couldn't wait to teach his "little brother". "I remember playing this game all the time when I was little! Me, my mom and dad would play it all the time. My dad was the one who taught me how to play it." Just mentioning his dad made Andy feel sad. He remembered what happened to his dad. It was a really tragic time for him and his mom.

Chucky saw Andy pause. "What's wrong Andy?"

Andy shook his head to come back to reality. "Uh nothing! I was just thinking about my dad."

"Your dad?" said Chucky.

"Yeah...you see he...well nevermind!" Andy dismissed the thought.

"You can tell me...you're my best friend Andy." Chucky looked his big brother in the eyes.

Andy looked into his "little brother's" big, blue eyes and saw the sincerity on his face. He took a deep breath and cupped his face with his hands. "Ok...ok...here it goes!"

Chucky sat and waited for Andy to tell his story.

Andy uncovered his face and began. "So...a long ago when I was like 6 years old, me and my parents would play Fireball Island like all the time and we loved it! My dad was the one who got me into playing board games and Fireball Island was his favorite. That's probably why it's my favorite too! We did this for years until something happened to my dad." He closed his eyes and a tear came streaming down his face.

Chucky saw the tear. "What happened to dad? You look unhappy."

Andy wiped his face with his hand. "He...he...he was killed in a car accident when I was 10 years old."

"Oh dear!" said Chucky with empathy. Empathy? Chucky was a robot! Could he really be empathic? Did he have an empathic heart or was he programmed to recognize certain facial features?

Andy slowly nodded his head. "Yeah...I miss him a lot!" He bowed his head and broke down.

"I won't leave you Andy...I'll never you." Chucky repeated his "best friend" quote.

Andy looked at Chucky with a tearful face and made a weak smile. "Thank you." He continued sobbing for a minute until he built the strength to continue. He shook his head and said, "Sorry about that Chucky I just...had a moment." He wiped his face again and said, "Well anyway...let's play this game!" Andy began to explain the game to Chucky.

As the night went on, Chucky and Andy were truly having a blast that Friday night! As they played the game, they forgot about the time. In fact, time didn't seem to exist. It was like they were in their own little world! Chucky and Andy were really beginning to bond like best friends!
